This is chapter one of my story and I'm currently working on chapter two. I hope you all enjoy~

Ian slowly woke up, and his mind was back home. He figured his brother would be coming in soon, to wake him, and begin their daily training. He turned over and kept his eyes closed, pretending to stay asleep until the moment. Then it all came back to him. His brother, His friends and crew, their travels, Lucius, and he felt there was a void after. Then the question came of why he was in a bed and shot up. Sitting in the bed, he was in a sterile white room. He figured he must be in a medical ward. Ian tried to move, and noticed something was in his arm. He recognized it as a needle Where are we? He asked himself as he pulled out the needle, ignoring his fears of them for the moment.

Where are My things? He noticed a dresser next to the bed. He opened it and found a fresh set of clothes with his Sword, Necklace, and his brother's bracelet on top. Why would I have this? This is John's. Ian asked himself, picking it up. Move on. The voice in his head sternly stated. Where is John? Ian sounded firmly in his mind. He's Dead, Move on. He insisted to himself. Why would you say that?! He asked, almost yelling in his own mind. The voice fell silent, and Ian thought it best to get dressed to find out where he was. The gown he was wearing wouldn't help. Ian checked into the mirror on the wall after he was dressed. He had overgrown thick, straight silver-blue hair. Several strands went over his face. His defined pointed chin and his slender but, but solid build prevented it from looking feminine. The outfit somehow fit with a tight black shirt, a long but snug jacket, and a casual pair of jeans. He wasn't too happy with the hair, so he tired it back to show off is face more. He had wide, hopeful green eyes that had a touch of sorrow to them. He strapped his sword on and left the room only to walk into an office. He continued through here and entered a dimly lit hallway. The light bulb flickered on and off. Between flashes, he noticed the walls had burn marks. He soon heard gunfire and the flash of metal. A battle? He asked himself. As if on cue, a large, hulking gray monster arrived at the far end of the corridor. There wasn't much to it besides its chipped fangs, a loin cloth for clothing, holes for ears, and the drool that seemed to permanently live at the bottom of his lip. He raised his club and let out a roar the rocked Ian's bones. Then it charged. Ian felt ready, and drew his sword from its sheath. Ian froze in bewilderment as he noticed he only had half of his sword. It was broken mid way. Ian's distraction was the brute needed has he swung sideways, damaging the walls in the process. Ian cried out as he was sent flying, and his sword disappeared him his hand. Ian held his chest and he rolled to a stop some distance away. He was relieved he didn't hear anything crack or break. The boy slowly stumbled to his feet as the beast started to charge again. Ian could only prepare unarmed. Ian yelled in surprise and fell back as there was a rush of red beside him. He watched in awe as the red figure in white armor easily dodged the attack, slash the tendons in one knee, bringing it to a kneel, and with a yell of "Shiaaaaaaaa!" Slit its throat. The monster grabbed for its throat as if expecting to hold the air in then slowly crumbled into a heap of bloody flesh. She flicked her long black hair back as she turned to address Ian. She frowned for a moment as she wondered where he came from "Oh yes, I know now." She said in a casual but strong voice "You're the boy Scales dragged in." She sheathed her two swords and extended a hand to help Ian up "Are you okay?" "Who's scales?" He asked still examining her and accepting the aid. This woman was fairly tall, with a Crimson red exoskeleton and white armor decorated with green gemstones. Her long tail with the stinger indicated her as a scorpion. Ian couldn't help but sneak a peek at her large breasts resting firmly in her chest plate. "I'll take that, as you're fine." She grinned as he stood face to face with her. "Feel lucky these walls are narrow, or your might have been killed." She walked over, located Ian's sword and handed it to him "A story to tell?" She asked, noting its condition. "I... I don't know" He admitted. He felt he couldn't look at it and sheathed it. "It's dangerous out here, so why don't you wait back in the medical room while we clean up." She teased while she started to walk away, climbing over the corpse. "The hell I will!" Ian yelled, letting his pride get to him. "Who am I to stop you?" She asked with a wink and a grin. Ian, for a quick moment felt that he was slightly played into this but shrugged it off. He followed the scorpion over the brute's body. They ran side by side while she spoke "You listen to everything I say, when I say it. Okay? If I say we retreat, no matter how promising, we fall back. Got that?" "Yes sir!" Ian answered eagerly then caught his mistake " Ahhhh, I mean Ma'am... Uh... Madame. Miss. Ah..." "The name is Shali" She was chuckling "You're a cute one." "Uhh... My name is Ian. I-Ian Neos" He was completely red and found his eyes looking down to her juggling breasts- which was odd for him. The pair turned the corner and in a small lobby outside of the office, two brutes standing in the middle, their clubs beside them, on the ground. "I should have seen them coming!" She scolded herself inwardly as she drew her two scimitars. "we're going to see if what happened earlier was a fluke" Ian likewise drew his broken sword "Not this time" Turdrah calmly stated. "These are finished" Shali looked closer to see the monsters' eyes were glazed over. The bodies fell to reveal two figures: A feline. He was a soft shade of blue and he was kind of short. The expensive looking armor he wore had several well placed openings, which showed his fur was a lighter shade around his belly and ears. He had a young-looking face. His tail twitched as he spotted Ian. Mush was the other. He wore a long black robe that covered most of his body. There wasn't much to see aside from his dark hands showing, and his thin frame competed with Turdrah's. He was taller though, and he had a long, thin tail sticking out. "Mind control is wild!" Turdrah motioned his head toward Mush. He walked over to shali but stopping to pick the crossbow bolts out of the monster's heads. "Mushy and I are going to help some of the others seal the entrance again" Turdrah explained "The main hallway is caved in." "Which is why you two are going around." Shali nodded sagely. There was an awkward silence for a moment, No one spoke. "He's back there." Turdrah explained, his face suddenly turned soft. "Oh... Come here." She gave the cat an embrace Ian was a little taken back by the sudden tender moment in a seemingly dire situation. "Hey, I'm Algtry Gellows. Everyone calls me Mush" Ian assumed there was a smile under the hood and a paw was extended to him. "I'm Ian" Ian returned an innocent smile and took Mush's hand just ask Shali and Turdrah parted. The cat started down the path. "Stop playing with that and come on." He yelled back to Mush. "Bye" Mush ran to follow his partner "Good luck Shali!" Turdrah waved without looking back. Ian and shali likewise began their jog "He seems to like me" Ian spoke about Turdrah ignoring him "He's not fond of humans, it's nothing against you." She explained Sounds Familiar he thought to himself. A door flew open and a much smaller ogre emerged, wielding a staff. They skidded to a stop. "Mage!" Shali yelled, as a giant fire ball was launched at them. Trapped in a hallway... Nowhere to run Ian's hand was already in action. He grabbed the nearest door and flew it open, Throwing In Shali with himself. He didn't stop to see if she was okay. As the door exploded he ran though the newborn embers The mage troll Squealed in surprise as he emerged from the explosion, sword in hand. Taking Shali's Cue, he Cut into the Troll's Throat. Blood splashed all over Ian's face and clothes. It oozed down his blade. With his dull edge, the sword was stuck half-way through his head "GE-ARGH!" Ian yelled as he kicked the body with full force off his sword. Shali came out of the room, slightly dazed and observed the result. "Good work." She praised. They eventually reached the double doors, nodded to each other, and kicked them open.

What lay before them was a free for all, It was several creatures versus the Trolls. Blood was everywhere, with some bodies covered in it. Guns were shot, Blades clashed, Spells were slung, and the entire place was getting thrashed in the process. Shali joined the fray. Ian could take in meeting a few at once, but meeting so many non-humans amazed him. Several throwing weapons flew above Ian's head, into an ogre. One well place shot landed between the beast's eyes and felled him. Ian looked up and saw a fox in tight black clothing. The fox was of orange color, with white tips, belly and paws. He looked short, young, and his face reflected that too. Ian couldn't tell how he was clinging to the wall. He spotted Ian staring and smiled "Hi" The fox greeted "Hey" Ian waved back. "Watch out!"The fox yelled. Dive! Ian Followed just in time as a troll shattered the door he stood at. Ian tried to take again from Shali's method. Ian rolled under its legs as swung. Ian, cut at a leg and got the desires result. He was sent rolling, however, when the end of the club's swing came to meet him. The human ended up rolling Under the fox, Who had begun his knife throwing into the beast Magic Above you! Ian could only comply as he dragged the fox off the wall, Just as it exploded into small embers of burning chips of paint. They climbed off of each other. "Thanks." The fox said "Junes." "Ian." They exchanged their greetings The pair jumped apart as the top half of the mage's body smashed into the wall. It's blood leaving a trail to the legs, and to the one who did the deed. A large black dragon, encased in equally ebony armor stood there, holding his great-sword. He had a huge scar on the side of his head, and seemed to always be angry. He was sharply looking for his next foe. "Terror..." Junes whispered. he was surprised to see the dragon. The name lost meaning to Ian. The second he laid eyes on Terror his mind recoiled. He felt numb at first, then a rage Swelled to the top. Ian let loose a very inhuman cry as he charged at the alert dragon. He attacked with an unfocused fury. Each slash Terror defended easily enough, but was confused as who his attacker was. Ian would not let up. Making short screams and grunts with each attack, the speed of each blow forcing Terror to back up. The dragon grunted, he lost his patience. He blocked and pushed, creating an opening. Terror had his sword raised to put this irritation at its end. Shali turned to look for Ian, and saw what was happening. "NO Terror! Don't!" She yelled. "Terror! No!" Junes cried at the same time Terror froze for a moment. Ian took that opportunity to use Terror's armor on his knee as a foot hold and the next step on Terror's chest-plate. "GRRRAAAHHH!" Ian yelled as he tried to stab Terror through the skull. Terror simply held him by the collar of his jacket with his free hand, holding back the boy's wild attacks. His eyes were full of fury as he slashed at Terror's arm which deflected off uselessly against his scales. Terror looked to the fox, then to Shali and merely flicked the boy, crashing him against the wall. Ian blinked twice until he lost consciousness...
