Collared Darkness, A Pet's longing
Collared Darkness, Pet's longing
The collar I wear bears a sign
That he will guide me until the end of time
Now it seems this collar grows heavy
And in my mind he will always tarry
That wolf I call master
Seems to be slipping faster
From my grip
I feel him slip
Or is it I who has been plunged into the abyss
Losing that firm paw, I cry for it to assist
The darkness seems so close now
His voice is fading and I do not know how
To call him back to take this leash
And walk me back into his reach
Though he may not be my mate
As his pet, I enjoy my fate
Oh dear master hear my cry
For your pet now in darkness does lie
How I long for that warm embrace
To once again feel that paw on my face
Oh my master, hear my plea
Come to me again and make the darkness flee
I cry these tears of longing for
That master I wear this collar for
