This is my first real story I have done and posted. Not sure how good or bad it is, but hope it goes well. Wasn't sure how to really put this story in the kywords, so just filled it out by a few things I knew wahs in the story.

Story contains violence, some blood, near masterbation, and suggestive M/M sex towards the end, among other things.

=======

It was another cold night in Havengall, the streets where empty of most people like usual this time of year. A lone ferret walked out of an alleyway and looked around him as he walked down the street. He shivered slightly as a chill ran down his spine.

The ferret was known as Sev, a well-established thief new to the cold northern city, having grown bored and too known among both the local officials and women of his previous hometown of Ravens Stone in the desert region far south of his new home.

"Damn this bloody city...always so cold, that's what I get fer wanting ta move here." He stops in his tracts as he sees an opportunity for some loot.

He follows an old mouse with a fat purse for a short while, staying just far enough behind as not to be noticed as more than just another lower class beast on the street working his way home for the night. He watched as the mouse realized he was behind him. Sev smiled at the mouse and nodded his head as he kept walking till he got next to the mouse.

"Cold night where having tonight, eh?" The mouse just looked at him oddly then replied. "Yes, a cold night it is" He could tell he was making the mouse uncomfortable, and that amused him.

"Well, I best be on my way back home, I haven't had a meal yet and the hunger's killin me" he said jokingly. "Have a safe night sir, these streets can be mean after dark." He walked off a bit and watched the mouse start to walk off. He smiled and tossed the fat purse in his paw a few time.

"Hehehe...works every time." He looked around as he placed the purse in his shirt for safekeeping till he got back home.

He murred as the cold purse touched his warm fur then giggled to himself quietly. He started to quickly weave through the ally's and streets as he worked his way home, acting like he hadn't gotten anything worth much, nodding and smirking to the few women he saw along the way he saw as still young enough to sleep with one day, and a few young girls that would be ready in a few years that where up past their bed time.

He arrived back at his home a moment later, if you could call it that. It was run down and in need of some repairs. He started a fire in the fireplace, and then after it warmed up a bit he started to take a few layers of clothing off. Though his house didn't seem like it, it retained heat very well.

He was lucky to find it unoccupied. Being from a more southern city, he was raised to deal with heat instead of cold. He moved up to Havengall in hopes of escaping the heat of his hometown of Ravens Stone. He finished taking off all excess layers of clothing and let out a relaxed sighed as he felt the warmth of the fire. He set the purse down on a table as he gathered his cloths up and hung them up

He walked over to his bed and lied down, rubbing his head with a paw. "It's been a long day...I just want ta sleep the rest of the day off." He rolled over onto his side and sighed. He saw the newly gained purse and grinned.

'But first, I want ta see what's in that purse first.' he thought to himself. He got up and walked over to the table, pulling up a chair. He eagerly pulled the purse open and looks at the contents that where in it. He then tuned it over and let it all pour out of it. Many dins and some jewelry fell out of the purse; he looked at them with great awe and excitement.

He sifts through the pile, "There must be at least 2000 din worth of stuff here!"

He looking at rings and necklaces with great joy, looking at all of their fascinating designs.

"This guy must a been really dim if he kept this all in one place..." He found it odd that all of this was in one purse, but he didn't care, it was the old mans loss. All he knew was it was a good sum of din here along with some nice jewelry he might keep for himself by their looks.

Several moments later, after trying some of the jewelry on, or at least trying to for a few of the items, he had a pile of jewelry he planed on selling either cause it didn't catch his eye well enough, was to small for his paws, or too big. He had only chosen out a few earrings, a ring he placed on his tail as a tail ring, and a nice silver chain. He had gone through everything, and there wasn't anything good left.

Suddenly out of the corner of his eye he spotted a ring in the pile of Din that he missed some how. He picked it up and looked at it, he immediately fell in love with it. He could tell by looking at it that it had magickal attributes. The ring looked older than anything here, and he knew no one would know the true price of it. He scooped all the loot into the purse again he planed on selling but held onto the ring and looked at it again. He set the ring down and put on the earrings in place of the older ones he had and placed the chain round his neck after placing a symbol of his deity on it he had bought a few months back with a lot of saved up money, both stolen and earned, just to buy it.

After he put everything on and admired himself in a dirty, cracked mirror nearby. He walked over to the table again and picked up the ring and placed it in his pocket. He then picked up the purse and walked over to where he kept his loot he collected till he could sell it for a good price or use it to buy stuff. Like a true ferret and thief, he had many hide-e-holes where he kept things. He bent over as he placed it in the closest hole to him, to tired to find a better hole. He kneeled down and moved stuff around as he made room in the hole for the large purse. He stood up stretching and myrring softly as is back popped a few times then yawned walking towards his bed. He turned one last time mid way to his bed and looked at where he had placed the loot and smiled turning again and walking to his bed falling on it tiredly and fell asleep quickly stroking his tail gently.

In a different part of town, the mouse was panicking a bit, he'd realized he had be robbed and paced trying to think. He was trying to convince himself that everything would be all right.

"T-They'll understand...they have to...don't the?!" He wringed his wrinkled paws pacing trying to think of a good excuse as to why the 'goods' where missing.

He jumped as a paw rested on his shoulder and let out a frightened yelp, jumping away from it and falling on the ground looking up at the figure, unable to see it's face, holding his chest panting.

"D-Don't do that...who are you and what do you want?!" He said as he stood slowly still breathing hard and dusting himself off.

The figure grinned, his glossy teeth glowing slightly in the dim light of the building, a slight red tint to them. "Heheheh, what do you think I'm here for you wrinkled old mouse?" He slowly stepped closer to the mouse flexing a clawed paw.

The mouse looked at him some fear being reinstated in him as he saw the face of the wolf, and one of considerable build and age. The scars on his ears and face showed he'd also seen plenty of combat in his time. "I-I-If you are here to rob me...I have nothing to give you..."

The wolf laughed and rested a paw on the mouse's shoulder digging his claws into it slightly and leaning down to the mouse's face with a grin. "Oh, don't worry...I'm not gonna rob you, I was ordered to pay you for what I want, well, what my Masters Master wants that is..."

The mouse smiled and nodded happily and reached for this purse he was to deliver then frowned sweating a bit grinning sheepishly looking up at the wolf. "Er...I...I was robed..."

The wolf smiled evilly at the mouse then laughed digging his claws into the mouse's shoulder more, some blood staining the shirt from the claws penetrating the skin. "Hahahah, you have to be joking! What fool in all of the levels of hell would get robbed of something as precious as that ring you where to deliver?"

The mouse winced feeling the claws going into his shoulder. "I-I...I really did get robbed...on my way to here I had it then..." He paused a long moment and looks at the wolf his mouth open slightly.

The wolf pulls his claws out looking at the mouse and standing licking the blood from his claws. "What is it you stupid old fools, your old mind finally give out fully and make you as useful as my shit?! ....Well speak up fool!!"

He shuddered as the wolf and nodded in fear. "I-I ran into only one person along the way here, I was sure to avoid anyone else before and after...."

The wolf sneered at him "Who was this person whelp?! The sooner we get to the bottom of this the better for everyone..."

The old mouse looked away and shook more. "I know not who he is, only that he appeared to be either a ferret or pine martin by his markings, it was hard to tell in the dark.... but he wore the cloths that appeared that of a beggar, but he wore more cloths than anyone here who was born, he cant be a native. His clothing didn't seem as worn either, like he had kept them in good condition or bought new clothing recently, something no peasant can do unless they are a thief."

The wolf paced around growling at the words of the mouse then shaking his head and stroking his chin occasionally. "I'm surprised a senile old fool like you could get such a look at him, at least you haven't fully failed my Masters"

The mouse swallowed hard and smiled slightly nodding "It helped he stopped to talk with me a moment, probably when he robed me. He must be a sly being to get the purse while he talked right in front of me..."

The wolf winced stopping his pacing with his back to the mouse, then started to shake slightly with laughter then turned slowly towards the mouse. " You mean to tell me... that you weren't robed by force...but a lone person standing in front of you talking?! In front of you for bloody sakes!!!" He started to laugh again then frowned getting muzzle to muzzle with the mouse. "You've failed for the last time fool..."

The mouse quivered in fear swallowing hard "N-N-NO! Please! Give me another chance!!!" He pleaded as he started to cry in fear of his life. "I promise I won't fail again!!"

The wolf turned his back to the mouse as he walked towards the door, passing through the shadows again, his form seeming to blend with them naturally almost. The mouse ran forward and grabbed the wolf by the arm, as he was about to keep pleading.

The wolf turned his head to him as his eyes glowed dimly in the dark shadows, as the anger was apparent. "There is no redemption now fool..." He tossed the mouse back with the arm sending him sprawling onto the ground as he looked down at him. "Have a good after life fool..." He raised the arm and pained his paw at the mouse and said something in a strange tongue then a dagger appeared and flew into the mouse's chest, then pulled out and stabbed him a few more times.

He turned as it continued to mutilate the cooling corpse and walked back out the door. "Hopefully that will be enough to have the officials help find this thief, if he even exists. This town is too small to have many of his supposed kinds..." As he walked into darker shadows, his form completely disappeared as if it became part of the shadows itself.

Sev walked through a hallway; it looked very old and smelled a little musty. He walked through carefully looking for traps. He walked into a few rooms and looked through the room as he tried to find treasure in it. He found the occasional old weapon and seemingly magical item, though wasn't as knowledge enough to identify them on the spot. He placed them in a pack on his back he kept for trips such as this and continued to the next room.

He walks more down a long hall, seeing a single door at the end, most likely the treasure room as he figured having seemingly have explored the rest of the place, including some secret doors that held little more than old things of little use to him.

He saw a few gems on the door and what appeared as a complex lock on the door showing something of great importance. He grinned and picked the pace up a little checking quickly for traps as he went, the entire place so far trap free due to either previous intruders or smartness to fool the brash. He had been in similar situations where a place was seemingly trap free but a really strong and complex trap guarding the most important stuff. He had seen signs that there where a few traps along the way, but due to the skeletons they obviously where sprung already by previous treasure hunters that the skeletons belonged to.

As he reached the door, he pulled his lock pics out and looked at the lock a moment and started to pick the lock. The lock was tough and he spent some time on it, working patiently daydreaming what was in the room. There was a loud click, and a large smirk on the ferret's muzzle. He placed his pics up and opened the door slowly checking for traps. There appeared none and he stepped forward over the threshold looking at piles of treasure as he did.

He was suddenly falling looking up as he did, he saw a figure standing on the edge of the floor above as he fell thinking someone got here before him or the treasures protector. He suddenly felt himself land on something soft and bouncy, expecting spikes or a large pit full of something that was to kill him if the fall didn't.

He smirked and went to move to climb up the wall, only to realize his body was stuck to whatever it was. He looked down to see he was on a giant web and felt his heart race. He felt something coming and looked to his right only to see a giant spider looking at him. He struggled more only getting himself more tangled. The spider made an odd chittering noise, seemingly happy for such a large and healthy looking pray.

He looked up to see the figure grinning, eyes glowing in the shadows that unsettled him. He looked back at the spider just to feel it step on his crotch then sink it's large fangs into his neck. The embrace of death was able to be felt coursing through his body as his pupils dilated and heart rate slowed till his heart stopped, a lifeless expression on his face as his face flushed one last final time...

***

Sev woke up with a start, panting heavily looking around. Suddenly remembering his dream as he felt a pain in his neck, rubbing it feeling the spot where the 2 fangs sunk in. He sighed happily glad to be alive, he tossed his covers off and looked out a window seeing it was day, he'd had a really relaxed sleep even with his dream.

He yawned wide then stretched as popping noises came from his body and back as he started to twist back and forth purposely popping his joints murring as the ease of movement now. He had a large bulge in his pants, from his cock being firm. He smirked and yawned again, his teeth chittering together a moment as he closed his muzzle rubbing it. He walked near the mirror as he grabbed some slightly stale bread and broke a piece off eating it as he walked past, his tail catching his eye in the mirror slightly then smirking as he remembered the night before, his cock getting firm again remembering all the money he obtained.

He took another bite of the bread as he admired his body and new jewelry in the mirror. He ran a claw over a few scars he had on his torso and murred. "Mmm, good times..."

He stuffed the rest of his bread in his muzzle chewing hard on it as he grabbed his favorite shirt putting it on quickly, then grabbing the rest of his clothing and armor putting it on dressing lighter today than usual. "You'll get use to the cold one day Sev, just bear with it till then" He smirked as he talked to himself walking over to his stash hole and grabbing the large coin purse looking around quickly then closing the hole again.

He opened the coin purse one more time pouring it out getting a good look at everything that was there in the light that shone through his window landing perfectly on the table, reflecting off of the gold and other jewelry there lighting up the room making him get hard again. "Mmm, I need to find someone here one day. Pawing off just doesn't seem right or as good since I left home..."

He sighs and lets it start to calm down before going to the bathroom, sighing happily as his bladder emptied in a warm stream that warmed his body more then walked out after he was done sticking his cock back in his pants. "Alright, I've eaten, urinated, time to go into town and buy some food, supplies, and enjoy a night on the town and maybe find a cute girl to bring home."

He smirked as he opened the door walking out locking it behind him. The place may have been run down and not looking too good, but it's all he had here, and he wasn't going to lose it easily to anyone except maybe someone cute or had him in a situation he couldn't refuse.

He walked down the road slowly looking around trying to keep an eye out for people who might suspect something. He turned down an ally acting like he was going to work off someplace, few people paying him much mind other than looking a little odd with an extra thickness to his clothing. He turned down a different ally as he got to the end of the one he was in then enters a shop.

An otter looked up from a book he was reading at Sev as he entered the door then smirked then spoke in a low voice. "Take it ya robbed someone again, that's all ya come ta the shop for anymore. Or are you running from someone, you get that famous already? If you keep that up you'll never live long enough to meet all yer children you've made" The otter laughed and placed his bookmark in the book and closed it.

Sev's eyes went wide as the otter spoke and looked around the shop in fear of someone hearing the otter then sighed in relief as he saw no one. "Aye, I got a big score last night, old fool carrying a purse full to busting almost. If I hadn't found him I'd have likely starved soon. Though your right, I don't come to see you often, but it's more of a fear of getting you involved something you shouldn't be Kris. And you mind leaving any kids I may have made out of this, you know how odd of a topic that is for me."

Kris shook his head slightly and smirked then motioned towards the back room. "Common, we can talk back here, I know how paranoid you can get when out in the open." He walked in then waited for Sev to walk in. Kris had been a friend of Sev's since they where kids living on the streets, they had always been a kinda team, Sev finding stuff by his own means and Kris examining it and getting a good price for them when he could. At some point as they grew older, they separated slightly, Sev's paranoia of endangering his childhood friend the main cause of it.

When they both moved to Havengall under different circumstances, they met up again, Kris having taken over an old bookstore with many tomes on magick and rare items and Sev up to his old tricks, though more skilled and obviously more paranoid and concerned for his friend.

As soon as both where in the backroom Kris shut the door and locked it. He pinned Sev to the wall he was standing next and kissed him deeply. Sev resisted at first as it caught him by surprise then stopped struggling closing his eyes and murring softly. Kris broke the kiss and looks at Sev as he still had him pinned to the wall. Sev Slowly opened his eyes to see that Kris was crying and frowned slightly. "Are you ok Kris? What's the matter?"

Kris sniffled and let Sev from the wall shaking his head and turning his back to Sev. "I... I thought you where dead... I hadn't seen you in forever, I was sure of it... You may see yourself as slick, but I've watched as you've been caught and beaten. You perfected the whole playing dead thing so well, I thought you did die every time..."

Sev looked away sadly and sighed turning Kris around and hugging him tightly. "I'm sorry...I never knew, why didn't you say anything...?" He stoked Kris's back gently. "Please, forgive me, I never meant to hurt you"

Kris nods and whipped his eyes with a paw as he backed away from the hug. "I understand, I forgive you, just come visit me more often, that way I don't need to worry bout you so much. Now lets see that coin purse you where talking about?"

Sev nodded and reached in his coat, then looked around the room quickly as he didn't feel it where he left it. He looked to Kris, who was smiling and holding the purse up. "You don't hang around you without learning a few tricks, and you've never changed the spot where you keep what you steal from others." He tosses Sev the purse as then they laugh a little and walk over to a table as Sev pours the purse out.

Kris looks at Sev as he looks up from the pile grinning. "Told ya I hit it big, so what do you think of all of this?" He spread it all out with a paw and looked back over at Kris. "Oh, and I'm wearing some of the stuff I got too I liked, from what I could tell, they where normal, but you're the one with all books on this stuff" He smirks and shows him the jewelry he wore he liked quickly.

Kris admired Sev as he showed his body and jewelry off. When he was done he placed a paw on Sev's back and stroked it moving closer to him and wrapping his arm around Sev's shoulder and holding him close examining the pile. "Hm... I'd say these have some minor magic in them, nothing drastic, you know, like just increase your strength or defense slightly. You could get away with an easy 100 to 200 dins for most of these; as for the stuff you are wearing is probably a little more cause they seem to be a little stronger. Plus they make you look more cute since you got rid of those old copper ones you stole when we where young, I still say you are lucky you didn't lose your ears to infection how you pierced them. It'd be a pity to lose such cute ears." He blushed slightly and smirked.

Sev nodded and blushed kissing Kris on the cheek smiling shyly. "Thanks, I like my ears too, there's something else that was in the bag that I wasn't gonna sell though...even I could see there was magick about it." Kris looked at him oddly; surprised he hadn't found it in his typical hiding place in Sev's clothing. Sev reached in his pocket and pulled out the ring and opened his paw slowly as the ring glowed faintly in the dim room. "I was going to wear it, but I wasn't sure what it does, and it seems really valuable, I figured if anyone in this town knew anything about it, you would."

Kris looked at the ring in awe, he'd dreamed of seeing something this magickal before he turned gray and old like the wizards he loved to hear about in stories. "You...You found this in this purse?!" Sev nodded slightly and looked down at it smirking at it seeing Kris's reaction. "So you know anything about it, or at least seen it in one of those books you love to read so much?"

Kris nodded and unlocked the door. "Follow me..." He nearly ran to his book he was reading and turned back a page or two pointing at a picture of a ring that looked exactly the same. "I was just reading this when you came in, it's like it was fate or something cause I wasn't planning on reading this book for a while still but no one came in today and I just picked it up and started to read it..."

Sev wasn't one to believe much in fate as much as luck but still found it unusually lucky. "Then what does it do, and why would an old mouse have it if he wasn't gonna use it?" Kris skimmed the page quickly as Sev tried to read a few of the words in it, seeming to have been written in some sorta old language like he'd seen on ruins once. He caught only a few words and letters, but he could tell this was a powerful ring. He got a shiver down his back and swallowed hard having a sixth sense when it comes to danger from years of always being in it probably.

"Kris...something isn't right, I need to get out of here, tell me what the ring does quickly..." He looked around and held the ring tight in his paw trying not to let on he was scared slightly for them both. Kris knew Sev too well and could tell he was afraid despite his attempt to keep it a secret.

Kris shook his head and sighed. "It doesn't say what it does, just that it's believed to be a key of sorts, nothing is really known about it, if anything. It was through the ring was just a fable according to the book. All I know is that it all depends on the users will, it can be used for good and help people or it can be used to conquer and kill people..."

Sev sighed and nodded placing the ring back into his pocket. "Thank you Kris, I'm sorry for dragging you into this, and even more for not realizing how you felt about me till now...I really wish I knew sooner..."

Kris shook his head and kisses Sev genially after marking his place and closing the book. "No, it's ok, I don't mind being dragged into things because of you, and keeps life interesting, and it's my fault for hiding my emotions till now. Trust me, once you get rid of that thing, I'll be waiting for you, promise..." He leaned up and kissed Sev lovingly and murred softly.

Sev blushed slightly and ran a paw through Kris's hair then his whiskers twitched sensing something and turning his head to see something like appear then went wide eyed as his pupils contracted as instinct screamed at him to run seeing the silhouette of something looking like it held a crossbow of some sort. "Get down!!" He shoved Kris away from him and behind the counter where he landed in a pile of books then tried to jump out of the way. He dodged the first bolt realizing 2 more just barely missed him nicking his ear and cheek. As the stuck in books behind him making a slightly hissing sound, he looked to see the books seemed to be half burning half melting as the dark bolts ate away at them. His scratches burning intensely as he winced, trying to keep it from distracting him too much.

He turned back to the figure having rolled out of the way as more flew by him, the weapon being used against him obviously enchanted with some sort of acid. He heard Kris scream slightly and quickly turned to look at him, concern on his face. Kris looked up at him; some of the solution on the bolt having dripped onto his foot paw and burn him slightly. By the time Sev could focus on the figure again, it was too late; his concentration was broken.

The only thing he saw seemed to go in slow motion, he looked at the being, seeing at least what looked like six bolts fly at him. He managed to dodge a few and used his dagger to deflect a few others, but one caught him in the left shoulder as it was deflected by his dagger, the original trajectory aimed at his heart, throwing his balance off as in sunk into his shoulder with a loud yowl from Sev. He rolled through the air slightly, looking at the roof as he fell in shock, a bolt barely missing his left eye as it flew past and ate away at the shelf above his head.

He lied on the floor for what seemed like an eternity, the pain surging through his body from the wound, feeling his flesh being eaten away as it felt, his entire left arm unable to move now as the bolt also seemed to dislocated his arm. The being stepped from the shadows, the room dark enough still that his features couldn't be made out.

Sev opened one eye wincing as rolled over and placed his weight on his dislocated arm, relocate it with a pop and looked up at him, he saw a grin in the darkness and saw the figure standing over him. He tried to move to get up to fight more as the bolt slowly fizzled from existence, just as heard the sound of a sword getting pulled from a scabbard and heard it sizzling as it sped through the air, Sev just barely dodging it as it burned through his armor and shirt underneath it slightly, nicking his side slightly, as he rolled out of the way looking at the sword, appearing to burn as if it was made of acid as it quickly was pushed into the floor, cringing in pain as he felt the wound. Kris saw this and grabbed a heavy object from under the counter and threw it blindly. The figure yelped as it hit him in the back of the head, making his sword go through the floor the rest of the way till just the hilt was sticking out

Sev coughed hard as his eyes shot open in pain, blood spurting from his muzzle onto the floor as it pulled a dagger from its belt seeing Kris and turning towards him, ignoring Sev in a rage to kill Kris now. He took a few steps forward towards Kris grinning at him, Kris grabbing another heavy object, a tome this time bound in metal on the edges and tossed it at him just to have it dodge it with ease. He scrambled for something else but the figure rushed forward and kicked Kris hard in the muzzle and face, leaving shallow claw marks on both.

Sev opened his eye and looked over at the figure as he kicked Kris, and slowly unsheathed his dagger quietly sneering in anger and took aim in his pain, time seeming to slow as he heard his heart beat, the sword having just barely burned it's way through the floor falling into the cellar below thanks to Kris and pulled his arm back and threw it hard hitting the figure in the spine mid way up his back, it letting out a shrill scream that made Sev's head hurt more than it did already. It sharply turned and looked at Sev slightly confused how he was still alive and threw his dagger at him pinning his writs to the floor as Sev pulled another one out.

Kris saw the dagger sticking from the figures back and took his chance lunging forward and pushing it farther in severing it's spine, if it even had one, and it fell to the floor screeching out in pain, Kris not giving it a chance to recover pulling it out and stabbing it a few more times till the body stopped twitching, panting crawling to Sev's side pulling the dagger out then tossed is aside as the blood on the blade made a sizzling sound, applying some pressure farther up the arm so Sev didn't bleed out too quickly.

Kris stroked Sev's cheek gently and spoke, "Sev, are you all right, stay with me, I know you can make it through this...you just have to" Kris's eyes watering with tears. Sev's, breath was shallow, the pain was too much for him to handle, trying hard not to black out, "Just heal me soon, and I'll be fine, I know you always hung out with the clerics at the church, you had to learn something...you were always a quick learner"

Kris nodded and placed a paw on Sev's side to sit him up, making him grimace in pain. Kris hesitated a moment seeing Sev grimace in pain and squirm coughing up more blood. Kris focused and started to chant a little, the dark room filling with some light as Sev's wounds healed slowly, easing his pain. His skills where minor compared to what most the clerics knew, but it was enough.

Kris looked to Sev then at his wounds removing his beaten leather armor, now as good as useless with the damage that had been done to it, tossing it aside seeing the wound on his side and shoulder still bleed a little. He ripped Sev's shirt open, being greeted by a bunch of more minor scars remembering where Sev had obtained most of them. "You've always been one to get hurt, it's like you attract pain" Kris laughed slightly making Sev smirk then started to chant again curing more of the wounds. Sev panted a bit feeling his wounds start to become repaired and knit back together as the tissue was regenerated, then breathed easier opening both eyes looking at Kris smiling. "Ahh... seems you hanging round those weirdo's really did some good. If your tired you can stop, I'll be fine..."

Kris smirked and shook his head "Oh no you don't, I know you, always pushing the pain off to regret it later, I'm not gonna let you get away this time ferret" He placed his paws over Sev's wrist and chest chanting one last time before collapsing onto Sev's chest with exhaustion as the adrenalin wore off and healing took out of him. Sev took a deep breath, he still felt some pain, but he'd survive. He gasped slightly feeling Kris collapse on him and sighed holding him close to his chest licking at the cuts on Kris's face and muzzle. "And like always, you always have to over do it, just to help me..."

Sev stood slowly looking at the dead figure and spitting on it and picked up his dagger from it's back bringing it down sharply on the back of it's neck a few times in a rage, it screamed in pain, it's head falling from it's twitching body. Sev kicked its head hard, flying across the room leaving a trail of black blood on the wood, spurts of the same black blood leaking for the severed neck. "I had a feeling it was just playing dead, so it could probably kill us while we rested..."

Kris gasped slightly having never seen something like that before and standing slowly catching his breathe. "I...I would have never guessed, you deal with something like them before?" Sev shook his head and sighed, "No, I've never seen something like that before, I don't even know how I would have guessed it was still alive seeing how many times you stabbed it..." He whipped the dagger off placing it back into it's sheath feeling pain shoot through his body, his new scars burned, both with a physical pain and something else. Sev shook and looked at his wrist seeing the scar then stroked his shoulder and side, feeling the smooth skin where the fur was burned away, hopefully to grow back.

"Maybe I should go lie down...if that thing was poisoned, I could be in deep trouble..." Kris nodded and led Sev to his bed in the shop, the walk to it kinda quiet, and let Sev lie on it, the bed barely large enough to fit two people, then after Sev was settled in he started to walk off. Sev looked at him and smirked slightly, "Oh, and you expect me to sleep on such a nice bed without a cute otter to hold onto?"

Kris turned and smiled at Sev blushing slightly then stepped over to the bed stroking the ferret's head softly. "I guess not... Besides, the room gets cold, sometimes, be nice to have something to keep me warm" They both blushed as Kris removed his shirt climbing into the bed with Sev kissing him gently then murrs as they hold each other close.
