You stand before a broken down and ruined castle, the mountain in which it stands upon is shrouded in fog. A mild snowstorm blocks a bit of your vision, stinging your eyes as you come to the broken door of the old fortress. Inside the main foyer that the door opens up to is cold, and a small draft blows through. Most of the old stone walls and floors are covered in a layer of ice ot frost. and snow drifts blow in from several holes in the ceilings. It seems that no one has ventured here in years, and yet you feel as if there is something here.
A man in the town a weeks journey fro mthe mountain range told you that the sword he seeks is romured to be in the castles treasure stores. But the legend tells of a mighty dragon that now guards the keep and it's treasure from all who come to steal it. They say that only a true hero can best the beast and claim the prize. And the man thought you to be this hero, and so you have made your long journey, and now are so close to the end.
Looking around you finally find what seems to be the entrance to the lower levels of the castle.
