Manipulation: The School of Manipulation magic is, of course, the type that focuses on changing or altering properties of matter, usually temporary but sometimes permanent. This school is closely related to creation, often used as an easier alternative to it due to the fact that it is far easier (And less exhausting) to simply manipulate something already in existence than to create something new. Manipulation covers every known example of alteration including, but not limited to: Elemental, mental, as well as most offensive and defensive spells. Manipulation should NOT be confused with Transformation. To give an idea the difference between Transformation and Manipulation: Manipulation would be making a length of wood into a bow, while Transformation would be making lead into gold.

Creation: Creation involves, of course, bringing something into existence that wasn't there before. Most creation magic is used for the healing of wounds and the purging of disease. This might seem like manipulation magic, but it isn't. In order for healing or curing spells to work, the magic user needs to create more of the tissue they are repairing, or more of one's immune system to fight the disease. It is also used to create water, air, earth, or fire from nothing, but this requires a significant amount of focus and energy to do, which is why most use Manipulation magic instead. The opposite school of magic is Destruction, which is detailed lower.

Transformation: The School of Transformation is considered a mostly lost art, because the art of changing one's shape is one no one alive remembers how to perform. There are, however, rumors that there are those exist who remember it, but these rumors have not been confirmed or denied. It is not, however, limited to simple shape shifting. Any spell that makes a permanent or lasting change to something, living or dead, comes from this school of magic. This is different than manipulation in the fact that manipulation uses something already in existence for an identical or similar purpose(I.E. Using an existing fire to control all nearby flames), while transformation alters what is already there permanently for a new use or purpose.

Destruction: The School of Destruction magic is pretty self explanatory. All spells that focus on destroying or removing something from existence are of this type. However, destruction magic can also be useful in curing disease by destroying the contagions, but this requires great expertise and near perfect concentration to accomplish. This does NOT include spells that use fire, ice, cold, etc. to end life or destroy; those are in the Manipulation school of magic. All destruction spells use one's own thoughts to fuel the magic.

In conclusion, Creation magic is the most difficult to learn and Master, since it requires full concentration and uses the assembly of basic blocks of matter. Manipulation is the most varied, most common, and easiest to learn and Master. Transformation is the least understood due to so much of its ways becoming lost. And Destruction is the least used of all four types.
