Story by Will E. Fox on SoFurry

This is mine meaning it belongs to Will E. Fox etc. This piece is about a message and I would always like some feedback.

A fox stands in front of a mirror and considers his own image. He looks at his black tipped ears and touches one of them, parting the hairs that meet there.

He takes a brush and brushes through the thick lock of fur that hangs down between his eyes. Where ever the bristles go through they leave small partings, like a freshly tilled corn field seen from above. He had always liked his hair, it was one part of him that he truly felt good about.

He uses two clawed fingers to feel the tip of his black little nose. Too small and too pointy. The fingers trace the side of his muzzle down to the thin black lips, feeling them over. He bares his tiny teeth at himself, noting that they were true white. Except for the one that had always been a little skew and a moler that felt akward they were perfect in that they had their own imperfections. He drops his lips in disgust.

He drops a paw to the tuft of fur on his chest. It was perfectly smooth in the way that the fur pointed down. He lets his paws drift through it a few times. He liked it but always wished that it could be just a little more prominent. He might be proud of it then.

The paw slides down to his flat tummy. Except for the fur it was prefectly smooth and hard. Not very muscular though. A nail trailed a path that would have shown where muscle would be. He tenses but still no sign of anything that would make one feel good.

Leaning forward he observes the lower part of the body that his soul inhabits. If bodies could be chosen then this would not be his choice. There are so many others out there who can feel good about themselves.

There is a click. The door to the small empty room swings open and the grey wolf enters carrying his ever present black toy bag. Will's shoulders sag and he takes a step back towards the closest wall. "Ah, my perfect little fox is ready for some more. Perk up boy, one as fine as you cant go without a good yiff every now and then, eh?."
