#2 of Digimon

Chapter Two

Brandon drove in the back seat of a black sport car, the man known as Sampson drove in silent as well as he, as the Hybrid Digimon/human began to pounder what was going on. He was given his old clothing, save for the red open shirt so he only wore a white tee-shirt and his red pants. He still couldn't wrap his mind what was going on, he a half human half Digimon? It did make sense in a way since he could attack like he could, and his gold eyes; but who was his father then, what Digimon gave him life with his mother?

"We're almost at the old DATS headquarter," Sampson answered as Brandon refused to look at his glasses. "From there we'll see what Digimon you are and see if the other brought the other three."

"Other three?" asked Brandon as the older man nodded.

"Yes, as I told you, there were four of you that would born half human, no doubt that same black wing Digimon took their family as well and we need to know why." Brandon looked out the window to see a large building come to view, he remember seeing it tons of time, but never gave it to any mind to what it was, until today that was.

"Commander Sampson!" two older women, wearing what seemed to be a blue uniformed skirt brought their right hand up to their forehead in a salute, the one on the left had short blond hair and blue eyes, while the one on the right had what seemed to be long blue to dark purple hair, her eyes a even deeper blue. "We found the other four teens like you said; sadly their family were also taken."

"I see," answered their commander. "Thank you for telling me Miki, Megumi," he looked to the one with the blue hair. "Did the rest of the team come back as well?" she nodded her head and smiled.

"Yes," she answered. "Both Pawnchessmons and the other member of DATS are back, well all but Marcus and Agumon of course."

"Their still in the Digimon world?"

"It seems like it."

"Um hello..." the three adults looked toward Brandon as he walked up. "This chit chat is nice and all, but I want answers, so don't mind me being rude, but can we talk about whoever this Marcus guy is later please?" all three turned to each other and gave a slight nod as they made their way down the hall as Brandon followed. Once they entered a room filled with computers and a large tube in the middle; standing around the tube were three others.

One was a little shorter then himself, she wore long blond hair with deep blue eyes, like the sky. She wore what seemed to be yellow jogging pants and a yellow shirt, white shoes and purple gloves were seen on her hands and feet as she tied her hair into a ponytail, which reached close to her hip. The other was a little taller then Brandon, and held more muscles, orange shirt and blue jeans as his red eyes scanned to Brandon for a moment. His black hair was shiny as he looked back to the last of the group. This one was looked to be the shortest of the group, wearing all blue and blue backward cap with the words 'bite me' on the front for all to see. He held snow white hair with black strict from what the others could see. Brandon made his way up to them as they all turned to him.

"I'm guessing you the other forth right?" asked the young women as Brandon nodded.

"Yeah that's me," he answered. "I'm Brandon, and you three?" the smallest teen looked up at him and pointed to him.

"Names Tony," he nodded to Brandon, "nice to meet you."

"Call me Lighting," the blond women spoke crossing her arms.

"And I'm Lee," answered the last. "And you?"

"Brandon," He answered leaning closer. "So do you all know what's going on or what?" Lee shrugged his shoulders as Tony looked to the three other who were watching them.

"From what I over heard," he answered. "It seems all of our family have been taken, reasons unknown to even them. They disband their group years ago after the battle of the Digimon King since all of the other Digimon left. But I guess the portal between our two worlds has reopened and now something worse is coming." They all looked down at him in confusion as he shrugged. "What, I'm nosy; sue me." Lee only shook his head and chuckled as they all heard Sampson clear his voice.

"Alright you four," they all looked to him. "As we told you, you all have the power of Digimon, if you each follow me, we can find out what Digimon you are." They all looked to each other and nodded as they followed going toward a large room with a chair. "Tony, if you will be so kind to sit down first?" the hat wearer nodded going and sitting down as Sampson clicked some wires to his body. "Now stand still alright?" he nodded as a low hum was heard until a screen was seen for all to see. What seemed to be a download page soon stopped as a picture of a small blue, something with a white underbelly and a yellow 'V" on its forehead, its ears backwards and bent up and down as it also held human hands.

"The hell is that?" asked Lee as Lighting spoke.

"That's a Veemon," she answered. "It's a humanoid Digimon."

"How do you know that?" asked Tony as he was unstrapped.

"I find some old files in the computers when those three weren't looking."

Lee, and Lighting were next, it seemed that Lee held the DNA of an Agumon, and Lighting with a Renamon. When it was Brandon turned, they found out that he was part of a Guilmon, which was rare in most cases but none the least he was one.

"Now that we know what type of Digimon you four are," asked Sampson as he pulled out a box and opened it. Inside sat four devices (The one from the show Digimon Data Squad) each matching the colour of their Rookie form of Digimon as each took them. "These are called Digivices, each member of DATS have one and allows their Digimon partner to Digivole. But since you four have Digimon forms..."

"We might be able to Digivole ourselves?" Brandon asked as Sampson nodded.

"You catch on quick. But to Digivole it's going to take a lot of training and hard work and until then; you each need to learn how to use your power at will." Lee crossed his arms and held his head down, eyes closed as he began to think.

"Why should we even trust what you're saying?" he asked as the rest of the group looked toward him. "For all we know you're also working with those bastards that took our family and are just playing us to make us stronger so that you can use us for whatever plan you got up your sleeves!" Lighting frowned lightly as she looked away as Tony did as well, ether wanted to say it, but they knew that he was somewhat right. Brandon holding his hands tightly looked toward him and moved toward the members of DATS.

"I'm going to stay and learn my Digimon self." He answered as the other three looked to him. "You're right, why we should even trust them, but know this, we know that that black wing Digimon took our family, and Lighting was able to get into the computer to see the information about whatever we need to know. I don't trust them fully myself, but I'm going to do whatever it takes to get my mom back; I'll take any risk, any pain to see her back here!" Tony looked around and then moved forward and stood by his side.

"I'm with you man," he answered with a smile. "Sounds like fun the way you said it." Lighting rolled her eyes. Moving up to stand in front of the two.

"You both sound like little kids going off what sounds like a great camp, only to find out it's a work camp; I'm coming, just to make sure you both don't get yourself killed on the way!" Brandon smirked as Tony glared, Lee looked over and sighed.

"Might as well come I guess...got nothing better to do." Sampson cleared his throat as they all looked toward him.

"Well then," he answered looking to each Hybrid. "Before he can even go into the Digimon world, we need to train you, and what's better then in the field?" he passed them each the Digivices and an ear piece. "You each have a room here to use if you wish, or your own homes, please keep these ear pieces with you at all times so we can call you. Any questions?" No one said anything as he nodded. "Good, welcome to the Digimon Data Squad."

"This is so cool!" Tony had followed Brandon after he left outside the building. "Us half Digimon and able to tap into our inner 'mon' god I wonder what kind of attack I can do!" Brandon chuckled, though Tony was the same age as the rest of the three, he acted like a little kid. "What was your attack Brandon?"

"I think it was called... Pyrosphere," his hand lit up a bit like a flash light, but clamed down after a second as Tony jumped back.

"That was cool, how did you learn that?" Brandon started to tell Tony about his fight with the fire Digimon, and how he saw words in his head and then just spoke it. "Sounds weird, you think that's how the other Digimon leant their skills?"

"Well from what I heard of Digimon," Brandon went on. "Their just data, like a computer, maybe they were just born knowing."

"But if their just Data...then how did they...you know?" Brandon also thought that this, how could a Digimon and a human reproduce? He shook the thought from his mind.

"Forget about it Tony," Brandon answered. "It happened, we're here, deal with it." Tony only frowned, jabbing his hands in his pocket and followed after Brandon again. After a while Brandon slowly stopped, looking ahead to where his brunt house now was. He had forgotten about how his home was brunt to the ground, tape showing that no one could enter. Remembering what Sampson said about the badge he gave the four to get them in anywhere, he wouldn't be bother if the police showed up. Going under the tape he made his way though the jar opened door as Tony looked around and followed inside as well.

"What are you doing?" he asked, Brandon didn't answer as he made his way into the living room, looking up where the hole was where he first saw his mother hand. When he moved forward he heard a small snap, looking downward he saw an old picture of him and his mother at a beach. Taking the picture out of its broken glass, he brought it in his pocket and sighed. "I'm sorry man," turning around he saw Tony looking at him. "I mean, losing your mom is one thing, but your home and everything else...I'm sorry." Brandon smiled lightly, glad that someone cared enough, when a light buzzing noise from his ear shook him from his smile.

"Brandon, Tony, are you there? This is Miki, respond if you hear me!" Brandon brought his finger to the earpiece and pressed the button as well as Tony.

"Brandon here, as well as Tony; what's up?"

"Good, we just got a word that a Digimon, Champion level is about to appear in the park northeast of your standing ground. Lee and Lighting are too far away to fight with you and they have to be on the other side of the city just in case another Digimon comes over there; do you think you two can handle it?"

"Hell yeah!" yelled Tony. "Just watch, we'll show this Digimon who's the boss!"

"Be careful," it was the commander. "Tony you have yet to fight a Digimon and Brandon this one is far stronger then the Digimon you fought. Stop the Digimon, but don't overdo yourself alright?"

"You got it," answered Brandon as he clicked off the earphone. "Tony you..." he was about to ask Tony if he was ready, but he was already gone running. "Tony!" cried Brandon as he ran behind him. "God this guy is nuts!"

At last Brandon caught up to Tony as he was looking around the area as Brandon brought his hands to his knees and gasped loudly.

"Are you fucking nuts?" he screamed as Tony looked back. "Didn't you hear him? This guy is I guess strong and you run off?"

"I'm sure I can handle anything that comes our way..." his eyes grew wide as he looked up as Brandon frowned and then knew why he was looking like that.

"The Digimon is behind me...isn't it?" he nodded. "And it's big right?" nodded again. "And I'm guessing it can fly because that's why you're looking up?" once more, a nod. Brandon slowly turned around and backed away beside Tony when he saw what they would be facing. A large bird like Digimon, whose feathers seemed to be made of fire looked down at the two, wings flapping as it hovered. Claws feet large as Brandon own body and nails as sharp as swords, two ears made of fire them self flowed behind its head as It screeched loudly into the ear with its creaked break bill. Tony got ready as well as Brandon as his hands glowed the same red when it got ready for the attack. "Tony remembers; you still haven't learned any of you're attacks so you have to watch out alright, Tony...Tony...?" he turned to his side to see Tony running toward the bird Digimon as Brandon grunted. "Dumb bastard!" he ran as well as the bird screeched again.

"Mach Grinder!" the bird screeched as it went after Tony with claws out as the blue wearing human skidded to a stop and jumped, landing on the bird back and held on. The bird screeched even louder causing both males to hold their ears in pain as Tony was thrown off, faster and faster he fell toward the ground until Brandon caught him and rolled.

"That's why you wait until I'm with you as well man!" Tony rubbed the back of his own head and gave a sheepish laugh.

"Sorry, got caught up in the moment." Brandon rolled his eyes as the bird Digimon screeched louder and hovered lower but far away, but closed enough so it could be heard by the two.

"What are you two?" it asked. The voice sounded female. "You both look like human but hold the Data of Digimon!" Brandon crossed his arms and smirk.

"We'll tell you when you beat us bird brain!" the Digimon growled.

"You're going to wish you never said that to Birdramon!"

Tony was back on Birdramon back in a second punching her with all his power he could muster as Brandon ran below, running up a swing set and jumped.

"Pyrosphere!" his hands glowed the red as he brought his hand forward and punched the Digimon in the top head causing her to screeched and fall toward the ground as Tony jumped off and landed by Brandon. Brandon charged another attack, but the female Digimon made such a loud screech that it caused both Brandon and Tony to hold their ears again. This gave Birdramon her chance as she flew forward and grabbed Brandon, taking him high in the air as he punched and kicked. His hands bounded to his sides, so he couldn't use his attack.

"You can fight I'll give you that human," she growled low. "But let see you fly!" she threw Brandon straight down as he screamed flipping in the air as she dived after him. Time seemed to slow down as Brandon eyes closed, he felt the same rage with his first Digimon he fought as he reopened his gold eyes, to show them slit. His Digivice started to glow as well as his right hand.

"Sir!" cried Megumi from her computer watching the battle. "That's the DNA Charge! Does that mean...?"

"Yes," answered Sampson as he leaned forward on the computer. "He's Digivoling.

"DNA!" cried Brandon as he flipped upright into the air as Birdramon flew closer, his hand in the air as he slammed it down on top of his Digivice. "Charge!" his body burst into light as Birdramon screeched again as Tony covered his eyes, a loud boom was heard as Brandon landed hard on the ground, the light surrounding his body like a egg, until it broke. When Tony removed his hand to see Brandon, he was shocked. A red like dinosaur wearing Brandon red pants, though ripped to make it look like shorts stood where he once was. Body red as blood with an underbelly white as snow. Chest muscles were seen as well as arms one, claws large and long; a weird looking black mark between his eyes as well on his chest. Black lines were seen on his arms, legs, and even his now own tail. His eyes opened to still show the gold eyes as Birdramon backed away in the air.

"What are you?" she demanded as Brandon looked up and glared.

"My name is Brandon," he answered looking up at her. "A half human, half Digimon!"

He ran and jumped, landing on her back as she twisted and turn, but his new tail wrapped around her neck held him on, opening his mouth wide, a red ball of fire was seen as he shot it, a beam of light shooting though her back as she screeched one last time, her body turning into data as Brandon landed on the ground. Closing his eyes and bringing his arms out, the Data went into his body, and then; there was none. Tony made his way u to Brandon; he seemed taller now in his Digimon form as Brandon looked down at him.

"What?" he asked. "Never seen a bird get its ass kicked?"
