Chapter One

After the fight of the King of the Digimon, also known as King Drasil who took the body of a human to see though the eyes, and see what humans were really like, Digimon and humans were for the first time able to see each other without fear. The Digimon Data Squid or DATS for short had spent many years sending any Digimon back to their world by reverting them back into their egg form; though some humans worked to steal their data for other sort of things. The day after the battle with the "King" all of the Digimon were to be sent back to the Digital World, for they feared what would happen. Though it pained many of the Tamers to see their Digimon friends go, some were in even more pain.

Some of the human and Digimon knew each other long before the king came to the world, their bond were not like the Tamer would be, but a bond of love. Few mated with these Digimon, and few gave birth, though never told anyone of who their birth fathers were, the children didn't even know. Close to eighteen years later the Digimon Hybrids lived their lives as they thought they were humans. But one Hybrid who lived in a large city and on his way to school knew something was not right about him. He was faster then any eighteen years old should be and way stronger, even though he looked weak. His body was average, a few muscles showing here and there but that was all. He held no hair on his legs or chest, but long spiked up black with yellow frosty tips hair. Both of his ears held gold hoop earrings, and pointed around the tips. As he made his way down the street his red open shirt which sleeves that went only to his shoulders with black strips on the shoulder and middle section flapped in the wind as his white under shirt was seen. His pants were the same as his shirt, but they reached his shoes which were red as well. He didn't know why, but he always loved white and red, it seemed to fit him. Looking around with his deep golden eyes, he saw that some places still needed to be fixed from the Digimon battle that happened all those years ago, his mother told him what happened, and he kind of wished he could've seen it. With backpack strapped around his shoulders he began to run toward the school for another boring unneeded teaching experiencing.

"My dad told me that before the Digimon left that everyone in the world gave out power called the DNA charge!" The red wearer overheard a few of his classmates talking about the Digimon as he leaned closer to hear.

"Yeah my mom did the same thing; she even said that when I was a baby I released it as well, like I knew they needed my charge! What about you Brandon?" they looked toward the teen as he shook his head.

"I wasn't born then," he answered rubbing his clean shaved face. They only shrugged and went back to talking as Brandon sighed and walked out of the ending class to the outside. The sun beating down on his lightly tan skin as he looked up and smiled. He seemed to feel better with the sun beating down on him; it made him feel stronger, faster. He still had twenty minutes before his next class, so he thought he would go to the nearest corner store and by some gum and for some reason; bread. Once he got in he over heard the TV in the top left turned up as people started to mutter as the new unfolded. Brandon went up to the manger of the store who was an old man, no hair and old worn clothing.

"Brandon," he told the young man looking almost dreaded. "Did your mother go to work today?" Brandon raised an eye brow and shook his head.

"No," he asnwerred. "Today hers' day off...why?" he followed the man look and saw on the TV that his home was on fire, all three floors were burst into flames as firefighters did their best to douse the flames. With eyes huge with fear Brandon dropped his bag and ran as fast as he could.

No, no, no! he kept yelling in his head over and over again as he ran for what seemed like hours, his clothing snapping in the wind even his hair as he skidded to where the police stopped him. The flames seemed to have gotten larger, huger as his eyes started to water. "Mom!" he cried as he jumped over the police and ran behind his home and tackled the door down, flames licked around him and hissed as they hit the metal. His gasping was heard as he brought his body down to the ground so he could breath and slowly made his way around the house. "Mom!" he cried again looking around. "Where are you!" he heard a groaned above him and saw the roof give way as he rolled out of the way before it could land on him, his shirt started to burn as he took it off and watched it burn to ash leaving only his pant and white shirt, which was black with soot. Looking up at the hole he gasped when he saw a hand dangling from it as he ran up the stairs, slipping though a hole, thankfully not hurting himself as the stairs started to break under behind him. He cursed and ran to the room and kicked it down, the flames around the room seemed to cling only to the walls not his mother body, or the one causing the flames.

Something whose body seemed to be made of the flames itself that made the fire looked toward Brandon, blue eyes locked to the human gold as he backed away, looking down at his mother to see her groaning in slight pain. The thing mouth seemed to be stitched shut, but when it opened, it looked almost like other teethes.

"Bah," it spat giving a male voice. "You're here; I bet you think you can save your mother?" It surprised Brandon that it could talk, and then he knew what he was dealing with, a Digimon.

"You bet your ass I will!" he cried bringing a fist up, which was shaking with fear. The Digimon laughed hearty seeing his shaking fist Brandon grunted and hit it as he charged. The Digimon jumped back leaving only a small flame line where he once was as Brandon jumped to his other foot and flipped; kicking the Digimon hard in the chest. His foot stung with the feeling of flames, but it did not burn. The Digimon stumbled backwards and roared, bringing his claws outward and shot a torrent of flames toward the human as Brandon rolled to the ground. The Digimon then saw his chanced and kicked him up in the air, slamming him back down with both his fist toward the first floor. Brandon saw stars, but he wouldn't give up, standing up he looked up slightly dizzy as he saw another Digimon, this one looking like a human with black suit of armour and black wings picking up his mother. "Leave her alone!" he cried as the Digimon looked down.

"Meramon," answered the Digimon, this one sounded female as the fire Digimon looked over. "Kill him, and be sure to get his Data." The Digimon smirked and jumped down causing a small wave of flames to be seen around him as the female angle Digimon flew though the roof with Brandon mother.

"No!" he cried running to jump up but the fire Digimon was quicker and slammed him back down hard. He was about to shoot another blast to the human under him, but he was shocked when he was kicked in the chest. Brandon was breathing heavily; rage filled his body as his blood boiled with hatred. I'll kill them! He thought over again in his mind, how he would do it, his body shook, his arms feeling as if they would burst. Words flew past his mind, something deep within him told him to speak them, opening his mouth wide he screamed to words. "Pyrosphere!" Meramon eyes grew wide as Brandon ran closer with his arms out, a red ball of energy seen forming in his right hand as he punched the Digimon before him in the chest. This time when he hit him, the ball grew wider and wider, until it exploded! The Digimon made a cry as it disappeared leaving a cloud of what seemed to be dust in the air, and as Brandon screamed flying though the window behind him; the dust entered his body. He skidded and jumped on the ground, and when he stopped, he was knocked out on his side.

The beating sound of a machine monitoring his heartbeat was heard as he slolwy woke up in a white room. Lying in a bed he looked around as a needle was in his arm, and bandages around his arms and chest.

"I see you're awake." Brandon head moved to his side. A man with black hair, the right side mostly spiked and he wearing black glasses unable to see toward his eyes sat on a chair looking at Brandon, he wore what seemed to be a chef suit for the police. Hands intertwine as he watched the injured boy.

"Who are you," asked Brandon sitting up with slight pain.

"My name," he answered. "Is Richard Sampson, and you are Brandon; am I right?" the teen nodded as he nodded back. "It is great to at last met you face to face Brandon, I have heard much from your mother." He looked over with his gold eyes and gave a puzzle look.

"You knew my...mom!" he shot up and was about to jump out of bed but Sampson held him down.

"You need to rest!" he cried holding him down.

"Like fuck I do!" he screamed. "My mother was taking by a black wing Digimon and I need to find her and get my mother back...Agh!" he fell back down holding his chest as Sampson sighed.

"You're not going anywhere unless I clear you to leave."

"What the fuck is that suppose to mean?" Brandon really never swear but only when he was enraged or pissed, which he was a little of both at the moment.

"Long ago, your mother, as well as three other mothers made a pact with me and the other of the DATS team that if they were ever went missing that I would take care of you...and tell you each of what you are." Brandon seemed confused as he went on. "As you know, you know what Digimon are right?" Brandon nodded. "Many years ago, a fight went with the king of the Digimon, he wished to 'reset' as he called it, both our and the Digimon world. With the help of the Digimon Data Squid, we were able to stop him. Many Digimon by then were allowed to see humans without being feared of being caught, some already knew Digimon for a long time, like DATS; but not only them." He stood up and went to a window to look out; a few birds flew by and held his face away from Brandon as he went on. "These human and Digimon had children with each other Brandon."

"And what does this have to do with me?" Sampson looked back at Brandon.

"I know you fought that fire Digimon, you even defected it, when you did, did you notice anything...strange?" Brandon thought back and then looked down at his hands. "Yes, that was what was called a Pyrosphere, a Digimon attack!" Brandon looked over at him shocked and almost scared.

"W...what..." he stammered. "What am I?"

"You are Brandon..." Sampson answered looking at him. "One of the four, who are half Digimon half Human."
