Chapter 11

I returned to find Calin getting a pot of water boiling, as well as cutting up some of our basil and neril herbs. "Hey Anne, that was pretty fast." I gave him the bag and he quickly took out the bottles I'd been given, looking them over. "Excellent." With that he started measuring the powders from the jars, using the small measuring spoons from the kitchen drawer. "Gotta wait for the water to boil, but we can't let it boil too quickly."

"How long?"

"About fifteen minutes." I headed out of the room. "Where are you going?"

"Do some cleaning."

He followed me into the next room. "Need any help with it?"

I was silent, but I let him help me with the dusting and some scrubbing. There were webs everywhere in one of the nearby rooms. How the spiders were able to weave them so swiftly, I have no idea. It only took us about ten minutes, but...even though we didn't talk, it was...fun. Fun to do something alongside him. I can't really describe it. All I knew at the time was that I kinda wished the fifteen minutes had been longer when we finally went back into the kitchen. As we stood there watching the water come to a boil, I took the time to study him. Again. He was really attractive, but beyond that he was also very gentle and kind. Just like Dad, he seemed to have a "warmth", a definite presence. Presently he sighed.

"I hope this works...there's never any telling for sure, but I really hope this works...he's only in the beginning stages, should be okay..."

"You've been here for five years?" I asked quietly. He nodded, ears going down a bit.

"I came here with my older sisters. I'm the only boy in the family. My oldest sister is in the military doing biological research, hence why I know how to cure- no, more like treat this virus. Like any disease though there's no promise of efficacy... my second-oldest sister..." He sighed a bit, seemingly feeling lonely at the thought. "She's married but living at home. And the third-oldest is off abroad helping with various recovery efforts. We're all wolves, though the oldest looks like a Human girl with a wolf's tail."

"You're half-Human then?"

"Half Wolf more accurately, and... the other half is 3/4 Human, 1/4 Dragon. I forget how that works out. The Dragon is distant though...about 3 generations back. That's all I know." He looked at me sidelong. "What about you?"

"Half Dragon, quarter Human, quarter Wolf. Wolf is the most recessive." I brought my tail up behind my back to show him. "S'where the dorsal fur stripe comes from."

"I see...how long have you been here?"

I didn't want to answer, but he'd just told me about himself, so it was only fair. "Been here for 8 years...moved from one orphanage to the one here. Lost my brother in that barrack bombing 8 years ago... been doing maid service for the past 6 years or so I guess. Can't remember well."

"You had a brother...was he with you at the other orphanage?"

"...Yes...they split us up, sending him to military training while I got shipped here."

"...I'm sorry to hear that.." The water started bubbling, so he turned it to Low and started adding the medicines he'd measured out. "Being a war orphan really sucks doesn't it... both my parents died to biological terrorism, hence my oldest sister's fervor with her research. I can barely remember anything from that far back..."

"Why do you work so hard to help others?"

He shrugged. "Knowing that I'm able to help someone and that my efforts put a smile on their face makes me happy...makes me feel more complete. I haven't been able to find happiness any other way..."

"You've never had a girlfriend?"

"...Not...really. Though...I wish I could find the right girl..."

I didn't know what else to say, though I didn't really need to; Calin took the boiling concoction and poured the cloudy water into a glass of ice cubes, then took it upstairs to dad. Feeling a little awkward, I felt myself growing irritated, a feeling I'd been repressing since morning. I needed to busy myself with something. Looking around the kitchen I spotted some dishes that still needed cleaning. Calin came back down a few minutes later, then silently started drying the dishes and stacking them to put away. I don't know why but I growled when a glass slipped from my hand and almost shattered.

"Hey...you okay?" he asked. I sighed.

"Sorry...just...a little sexually frustrated the past few days."

"Ah...stress will do that..." He blushed a bit and rubbed his neck. "I'd offer to help with that but...that's...not really my business."

I took the opportunity to look him over yet again, this time to seriously consider. He was so kind and sweet, and was always helping others without much reward for himself... plus, now that I saw him in just a t-shirt, he was pretty good-looking. And he'd pretty much just saved my dad, as well as helping me out with the chores...

"I...um...don't mind..." I couldn't make myself say it above a whisper, though I wanted to use this to test him too just as I'd tested Dad.

"W-wha..." he asked, a bit shocked.

"Calin...you need some repayment for everything you do...you just saved my employer..."

He stepped back a bit. "Anne I couldn't..."

"I'm just saying, I wouldn't mind. You've helped me out so much." I turned back to the dishes and continued scrubbing them, letting him think it over. Eventually he sighed, resuming the drying.

"As much as I'd like to oblige you and help you out...I don't feel I should. Not until we get to know each other better...if you want that is."

For the first time, I smiled at him, which seemed to surprise him. "You passed the test. I'd like that."

He stared at me in surprise. "You were...testing me?" At first he looked a little hurt, but then he smiled and chuckled to himself. "Oh wow...guess it's a good thing I like girls with wits." He put the stack of plates he'd dried off into the cupboard I indicated with my wing. "Not many girls would think to test a guy like that...but were you serious though?"

I felt my cheeks redden. "Yes...I was serious." For some reason I couldn't look him in the eye now...why?

"It's not really right for me to ask but have you...had prior experience then?"

"...Yes...have you?"

His ears flattened a bit. "Well...yeah..." He rubbed his neck. "Not often though."

We were silent for a while, neither one of us really knowing how to continue after that. We finished the dishes and went back upstairs to check on dad- er, the owner. Calin was silent, eyes closed as he felt for a pulse.

"The medicine seems to be working, his pulse is stronger. Won't know for another few hours for sure though, but a stronger pulse is good."

"You...can stay overnight to...look after him..."

His ears twitched. "Anne...are you...sure?"

"If it'll save him..."

He looked at the window and sighed, thinking it over, then shrugged. "All right. Thanks."

"I'll go get dinner."

"I'll help."

I turned to him, unable to resist a smile. "You've already helped a lot. My treat."

He cocked his head at me, then chuckled a bit. "Oh all right. Have it your way. If you can, make some chicken soup for him with plenty of neril herbs, that's probably the best food for him right now."

Not much point in outlining dinner, except for the fact that Calin asked for thirds. Apparently my cooking was the best he'd tasted in a long time...which made me blush so hard it felt like my face was melting. Was I...really that good? I went outside to fly for a while and clear my head, gliding in slow circles far above the mansion and watching the sun set. Already it was barely a sliver over the horizon, the sky a deep red fading into mauve and then to a deeper navy blue dotted with the brightest stars able to shine through the sun's waning light. I couldn't help thinking about how it felt to be a metaphor for my life. The old me was setting. Dad and Calin were somehow opening me up. But this metaphor then got me thinking. What was my night going to be like? Full of darkness and fear and strife? Or peaceful and calm and restful?

Maybe I think too much into things, but it nagged at me incessantly.

I went back inside to find Calin at the fireplace, staring idly at the ashes. He didn't stir when I put a few logs and some cardboard in and lit it with my firebreath, but he jumped a bit when I sat down in an adjacent chair, the joints squeaking. "Huh? Oh...hey Anne."

I just nodded to him and sat back in the chair, folding my wings over myself.

"I think your employer will survive, his fever's been dropping swiftly now that the medicine has had a chance to absorb into his bloodstream."

I nodded again, staring at the fire. The quiet was starting to bug me. "Want me to show you a room?"

"Hm?"

"A bedroom. For you to sleep."

"Nah...not right now. I just need to chill a bit. It's been a long day."

Again, I nodded, slowly getting up. "I'll be upstairs with him if you need me." He copied my silent nod, closing his eyes. He looked exhausted. Leaving him to his thoughts I went upstairs to dad, climbing onto the bed and giving his cheek a soft kiss.

"Hey you..." he whispered, a smile tugging at his mouth. "Who was that boy?"

I lay down beside him. "Calin. He's the boy who took me shopping."

"Mmm..." I think he would have nodded if he could. "He's a good guy. You're lucky to have met him."

"How so?"

Dad chuckled softly. "You have no experience with it Anne...but he feels good."

That just sounded WRONG. "Dad...ew."

He cracked an eye open at me. "Not that way you little pervert," he chastised with a joking grin. I couldn't help laughing a bit. "He has a warm aura around him. It means he has a good heart."

"Ah." I saw the sheets tent a bit at his crotch, which made me feel a little horny. "You up for some...relief?"

"I think so. Just...go slowly."

I pulled the covers back, revealing that he was totally naked underneath. His member was already partially exposed from its scaly white sheath. I couldn't resist taking it into my mouth and gently suckling on it, letting it erect against my tongue. His penis tasted so delicious I never wanted to let it go...

"Thought you were gonna ride instead."

I glanced up at him. "Nah, I'm more in the mood for a snack."

He smiled softly. "Feast away then."

In all honesty I wanted to straddle his lap and ride him all night long, but with Calin here the safest route would be some simple oral play. Licking his shaft all over, suckling on him and bobbing my head up and down his length, I could hear him groaning softly in pleasure, the sheets beside me shifting as his tail moved around. He started to leak pre all over my tongue, which I gladly gulped down, enjoying the sweet-salty flavor and creamy, smooth texture. Stroking his sheath with one hand I grabbed his shaft with the other and gently jerked him off, keeping my mouth around the head of his penis and giving it little loving kisses, sucking up the drops and squirts of pre-cum he gave me. Feeling horny myself, I pulled back just enough to slip my shirt off, sighing in relief as my breasts bounced free of the fabric and swayed freely in the air over his shaft before I squished them around his throbbing flesh.

"Mmm...Oh Anne...I can't last much...longer...your breasts are so soft..." he moaned, his legs tensing. Purring, I started stroking his length with my breasts, licking the tip of his penis every time it came into reach. It didn't take much more provocation to coax his knot to swell; taking it into my hands I gently rubbed and squeezed it, cupping my fingers around the back at the base to mimic tying. Dad's hips lurched off the bed and he growled loudly, shivering with each pulse as he filled my mouth with thick jets of his cum. No matter how many times I suck him off, he's always so delicious... He lifted his head a bit and smiled as he watched me slowly swallow that wonderful cream. "Get up here you," he chuckled. I crawled up onto the bed, straddling him. He reached up and hugged me close, burying his nose against my neck and breathing deeply. I hugged him right back, feeling very at ease in his arms. "Anne...I can never thank you enough for all you do for me." He pushed me back just a bit so he could look me in the eyes. "My little girl...I love you so much, every day it feels like my heart isn't nearly big enough to contain it all."

"Mine too daddy..." I whispered back, leaning in. He purred and kissed me deeply, his tongue wrapping around mine. We indulged in that kiss for a few minutes before he broke it with a smile, running a hand along my cheek down my chest to my breasts. Lifting one he took my nipple into his mouth; it felt so good the bed creaked as I shivered, stifling a moan as he delicately chewed and licked it and suckled upon it. "Dad...when will I start making milk?"

"Why, dear one?"

"Because I'd like to give you a snack in return sometimes," I replied unashamed of the idea. He smiled and kissed my breast, then turned to the other one.

"You won't start lactating until you're pregnant for the first time," he said, his tongue swirling around my areola. "I've never had breast milk before though, at least not past my infancy."

"Mom didn't let you?"

"She was too embarrassed, and her breasts were overly sensitive once she started producing milk."

"Too embarrassed? Around you?"

He laughed and teasingly nipped my teat, making me gasp. "You're a lot like her, Anne, but you're more bold and curious physically. She was very shy and introverted, and even with her sexual openness around me there were some things she wasn't comfortable with." He suddenly started coughing, then cleared his throat. He looked pained. "Ow...whatever the hell this is, I feel like shit..."

"I'll go get you some more soup," I replied, giving him another kiss before sliding off the bed and slipping my shirt back on.

"I'm not hungry. Just a glass of fizz water or something would be good." I nodded and headed out, turning to look at him just before I closed the door. He was already falling asleep, I guess my oral treat wore him out. Closing the door, I couldn't help rubbing my belly a bit, feeling strangely warm at the knowledge that the same semen that had made me and would probably get me pregnant someday was inside me. That warmth though was also one of a sudden strong desire. I wanted so badly to be pregnant...to have children...but as I headed down the stairs, those thoughts brought Calin to mind. I briefly saw, in my mind's eye, myself with Dad and Calin, with a few little hybrids that bore dad's white scales but Calin's hair and fur color. Shaking my head to clear out those thoughts didn't help at all.

Calin heard me sigh to myself as I headed past the den. "Anne? Everything okay?" I just nodded, heading into the kitchen. I heard him get up and stretch, then quietly pad after me, standing in the doorway leaning against the frame. "Is he okay up there?"

"Yeah...just need to get him some water."

He came up behind me and placed his hands on my shoulders gently, his voice a soft whisper. "Anne...I know we've pretty much just met...but if something's bugging you...anything at all, I'm here. I'll listen."

The sudden insanely strong urge to just spill everything to him welled up in my chest; I felt my body shudder and my breath catch. So many things I wanted to say, but couldn't...

I was silent as I took the water up to dad, pretty much leaving Calin there in the kitchen without a word. When I came back down I showed him the bedroom he could stay in. He was courteous and smiled at me despite my silence... I hoped he didn't think badly of me now.
