Kyurex and May chatted on their way to watch some battles, asking some people for directions on the way. The Umbreon noticed that most of the civilians seemed to be down and somewhat sad, though he didn't really understand why. Nevertheless they happily explained them how to get to the Battle Corner.

"Kyu...that guy, did you see it?" May asked.

"Yeah..." Kyurex answered. They were both referring to a Raticate that he had just seen. He seemed to be severely wounded, and also limped while walking. There was something going on and Kyurex wanted to know what. For now he figured it was best to change the topic.

"You look gorgeous." He smiled. May was surprised and her eyes widened.

"Huh?"

"Oh...you don't like it when I say that? Well I'm sorry...I won't do it again."

"Kyu!!" May took it seriously, scared that he would really do what he said. The Umbreon couldn't help but chuckle.

"Kidding, just kidding..."

They continued walking. May was a little mad that Kyurex played with her like that.

"Babe..." Kyurex started.

"I'm not talking to you anymore..."

"What?? What did I-" Now Kyurex took it seriously.

"Kidding." May giggled. Now the Umbreon had lost. He smiled.

"Damn it."

It was close to be pitch dark outside, but that wasn't a problem at all. They followed the directions they were given, which pretty simple "Walk straight ahead down the street until you see a bunch of fires. There is the Battle Corner."

"Hehe...looks like someone's having fun over there..." May stated.

Kyurex looked in front of them. Indeed, it wasn't very visible but about 7 meters away two individuals seemed to be having some kind of cuddling session on the ground.

They came nearer. They had to bypass them.

And as they came nearer....Kyurex suddenly panicked. He had to get away somehow. Instantly.

The couple, after noticing May and Kyurex, stood up acting like nothing happened. One of them, after observing Kyurex, was surprised. Kyurex felt bad. Really, really bad....because:

"Kyu??"

It was Jessica, and Slade.

DAMN IT!! WHY!!?? WHY DO THESE THINGS HAPPEN TO ME? IS THERE SOME KIND OF UNKNOWN power or something that does this on purpose?

"Eh...em..." Kyurex gave his girlfriend a glance, noticing her mood change. May didn't say anything. He then shortly looked at Slade, who seemed to be kind of pissed. And then he looked at Jessica, who also noticed the sudden atmosphere get worse around them. He then remembered:

The incident.

"Eh, hi...how are you doing?"

Jessicas eyes widened.

"Me? I should be asking you how you're doing ! Have your wounds healed? The old man just took you awa-"

May looked suspicious. Did she miss something?

Kyurex panicked.

"AHHEM...woah, I seem to have a very soar throat today, * cough * god, I should really watch my health. Hehe,..." He interrupted the Ninetales, looking at May. Her face told him that he would have a LOT to explain.

DAMN IT!!

"Em Jess...I mean..." Kyurex knew it was a mistake calling her by that name, because that would mean they were kind of close. "Jessica, lets talk...another time, we're kind of in a hurry here."

"Oh...well, yeah, we should be going to." Jessica said, looking at the Luxray next to her. Slade and May seemed to be both kind of pissed.

"Well, see ya..." The Umbreon shortly bowed, and followed his girlfriend who had already started walking.

"See ya." The Ninetales replied.

The two left. Kyurex caught up with May.

"May, wait! May it's not what you think!" Kyurex knew this was just the beginning. He somehow really didn't have the will to argue.

The Mightyena completely ignored him at first, but then came to a sudden halt. Kyurex was happy that she at least stopped.

"Kyu...why is it that, every time we get really close, I notice that I can't trust you?" she asked, not sounding angry, but rather sad. She starred into the Umbreons eyes, making it hard for him to look into hers. He knew had completely lost, because she had a point, and there was probably nothing he could do to save himself, because he hadn't told her about the incident.

Kyurex used all the cells in his brain to think of some kind of answer that would be of use, but couldn't.

"Look, just give me two minutes, and I'll tell you everything...okay?" Kyurex gave up, it was best to tell the truth.

"About the "wounds" and the "old man" I presume."

"Yeah..." Kyurex was right to assume that May had absorbed everything Jessica had said. He sighed, not knowing where to start.

"Look, something like a week or two ago, when we first mated, I mean before that, early in the morning I went to train." He explained, remembering it at the same time. May listened, elegantly sitting before him. "Then...I stumbled upon a Slowking. The old man Jessica referred to...and he told me one of my friends was in trouble. He told me where, it was a place near us, so I went there and witnessed Jessica being attacked by two other Pokemon. I helped her out, I mean, I couldn't just let them beat her up, could I?" He took a deep breath. May carefully listened.

"And that's how you got your wounds?"

"Yeah..." Kyurex gulped. He couldn't tell her about Revan, or the kiss. It would probably result in something he'd rather not witness.

May was not finished.

"And then the old man took you away?"

"Well, I got hit rather hard on the head...the next thing I know I wake up back at our place where we were staying at." Kyurex explained. "And you remember the rest..."

"Wait. And why didn't you tell me anything?"

Kyurex thought about it.

"I...I honestly didn't want you to worry..." It wasn't exactly the truth, because at the time, he didn't actually remember anything about the occurrence. May tilted her head.

"You didn't want me to worry? Wait...wasn't it back then that I noticed that you have a strong scent of a female on you?" May looked at the ground. "I see where this is going..."

Oh damn! Even I forgot that....damn it, DAMN IT! What now?

Kyurex shook his head.

"May...no, it's DEFINITELY not what you think! I didn't do anything with Jess...I mean Jessica!!" Kyurex was too nervous. " I would definitely never cheat on you...And I don't intend to, honestly..." he tried to explain that he wasn't guilty, and he really wasn't, he never desired that situation with Jessica, but he had to save her.

Kyurex understood the concept. The more he tried to do the right thing, the more it backfired tenfold on him.

The Mightyena shook her head, and not sounding angry or anything, gave her boyfriend a short glance.

"I...I don't know, but right now, just...let me be. I don't want to argue...I just...give me some time Kyu." May stood up, and after a sigh continued to walk.

Kyurex....just stood there. What should he be feeling right now? May was out of sight. Should he have done something? Or...

"GOD DAMN!!"

He hit a stone, making it hit one of the nearby buildings. His anger, confusion...his emotions all came out. He suddenly felt some kind of power tense up his body for a short time, making his eyes go blank red.

He shook his head. This feeling was familiar.

"Weird..."

Kyurex looked at the glowing fire before him. This was definitely the place.

His mood was somewhat gloomy, and he definitely wasn't as hyped up to see the battles as he was before the arguments with May. But he also didn't want to just leave after coming all the way to watch some battles, more so leave alone.

In front of him was a middle sized stadium, a round one. The cheers of the crowd could be heard, and Kyurex could tell there were something like a hundred Pokemon in there. The faint voice of a Narrator could also be heard.

He figured May and Blaze were both already among the crowd. He approached the entrance, which was also guarded by a Machoke.

"You are?" the Pokemon asked, with his hands crossed. Kyurex didn't know what to say.

"I'm Kyurex. Part of Team 76."

He didn't know if he answered correctly, nevertheless the Machoke took one step to the side, letting the Umbreon pass.

Kyurex was amazed. He had never seen anything like this before.

"Now for our next match! Ultrogo from Cloud Village against Flera from Salveni Town!!"

The Narrator, who was a Machamp shouted using the maximum volume he could achieve.

Kyurex could see that in center stood two Pokemon, a Poliwhirl and a Sandslash to be more precise. Wanting to watch the battle, he desperately searched for a place to seat himself. The stadium was built kind of like 4 steps going up, in a circle, making four rows to sit on. The edges of the steps ended with small walls.

Damn it...so many Pokemon!!

He couldn't really see a place, so he just stood at the side waiting for the battle to begin. The crowd was shouting wildly, and it seemed like the majority consisted of old teens, meaning that most of them were probably participants of the Bronze tournament.

"Kyurex!! I knew you'd show up eventually..."

It was Cage. He was leaning himself against a wall on the edge, looking down at Kyurex from above. The Umbreon, after adapting a smile, replied.

"Hey!! Did May and Blaze show up?"

"Yeah."

Cage jumped down, positioning himself next to Kyurex.

"Begin!!"

The Narrator announced the start of the match. Cage, noticing that Kyurex was interested, smirked.

"Ey, do you have a minute?" Cage asked the Umbreon before he got to sucked in. Kyurex gave him a quick glance, eventually looking back at the match.

"What is it?" he asked, focused on the battlefield. It looked like the Sandslash made a good start with his Sand-Attack move , one of Kyurexs favorite moves.

"Just wanted to talk to you..."

The Umbreon hesitated to do so, but slowly turned to the Quilava.

"Eh...sure. Don't feel like watching the battle now anyway..." Kyurex said. It was true, the incident with May and the fact that his other friends might be a the Battle Corner made him feel uneasy. He wanted to watch a battle, yes, but he didn't need the constant whining and drama.

Cage smiled. Both of them left the stadium.

"Eh..." Kyurex sighed. Both of them walked through the city. It was dark and cool and much people were around, close to none. The most were asleep and the ones who were awake were at the Battle Corner anyway.

"What's the problem?" Cage asked, sounding interested. Kyurex shook his head a little as a response. There was so much behind the issue but he decided to keep it breath.

"I'll say it like this, someone is heavily misunderstanding me....but who cares." The Umbreon said, letting Cage hear the obvious fatigue in his voice. Somehow he made it clear that he was referring to his girlfriend, and Cage wasn't so dumb to not have noticed from before who Kyurexs girlfriend was.

"It'll pass, all those kind of problems pass...believe me..."

"Nah..."

They kept on walking acting a bit silent. Cage remembered something.

"By the way Kyurex-"

"Call me Kyu."

Cage smiled. It was somewhat friendly.

"Kyu...Do you already know which guild you'd like to join?"

The Umbreon gave his friend a puzzled expression. HE had no ideas what the Quilava was asking him.

"A what?" he asked. The Quilava made a face that was like "I understand".

"I guess you guys living in a village really do get the short end of the stick..." He thought for a while. Kyurex listened. "A hunters guild is like a group of Pokemon, with a guild chieftain, who help the society whenever something happens. They especially utilize in battling...but also do other tasks. And we, as former students, can attend one of these guilds." Cage explained. It was obvious that he was well informed.

"Hmm...so it's like a job?"

"Well let's say you're doing something officially and garner respect and fame for it. Better than having adventures or sitting at home if you ask me. Plus, the most important thing. You help the weak."

"And...these guilds, there are lots of them or what?"

"Yep. Quite a few. I'm surprised you've never heard of them...especially of the Neversieg Guild..."

"What's that?"

"That's the guild that holds the most devastatingly powerful Fire Pokemon. Geozard, the famous Camerupt, is probably one of the strongest from that guild. Naturally, I'd like to be part of Neversieg, well, I think it's obvious why..."

"Yeah..." Kyurex was interested to the maximum."And what's the most powerful and the most famous guild?"

Cage knew this question would come.

"It's hard to answer that but it is rumored that the Elfetier guild, on tie with the Voidaroid guild, are the two most famous guilds. They also have the most impressive members. I'm definitely sure you've heard of Thoreus, the Tyrannitar?"

Kyurex gave it a thought. Nope.

"Nope."

"What? What the hell did they teach you at your place? How to count stones?" Cage sighed. "Anyway he's a member of Voidaroid, and is probably the most strongest beast you'll ever meet in your life. At least on this island. He's participated in the Gold tournament, and won the 7th place."

"Woah...must be bad ass."

"Yeah..."

"And...what types do these two guilds have?" The Umbreon asked.

"They are both mixed. I think that's exactly what makes them so strong, they don't follow a guide line."

"Okay....and which one is better to pick?"

"Voidaroid. Elfetier is all too fishy. I've heard something about them using dark, forbidden energy and stuff, but that's all rumors."

"Then Voidaroid is the place I'm going to." Kyurex knew it sounded like he made a way too fast decision but he was already convinced.

"Hahaha....don't think it's something you can have just like that. I've heard their chieftain, Master Elko, recruits members only on rare occasions. And I mean damn, you've probably got to impress him beyond belief that he even looks your way."

"Hmm......"

"I can't wait to enter Neversieg, that is, if I make it, but I'll train nonstop to fulfill that goal. So I'm confident. The Bronze Tournament is the best place to show your skills. Nearly all of the guild chieftains are present there."

Cage sounded dedicated, like it was his primary goal. The Umbreon couldn't blame him, he kind of liked the idea, it sounded like being a Hunter meant experiencing a lot of action. Just what he needed.

Kyurex thought about it too. He had actually never considered thinking about his future, like what he was going to do after finishing the tournament. But this sounded like something he would most likely want to do. He was definitely not someone who was going to sit in a village and do nothing for the rest of his life.

"UNNNRGH!!!"

There was a loud cry.

"You heard that?" Kyurex asked, his ears perking up.

"Yep."

"Let's go."

They both ran into the direction the shout came from, behind some house. They eventually ran onto some kind of wide street and witnessed a fierce Pokemon battle.

A Magmortar versus a Persian.

"Woah...let's help-"

"Whom?" Cage interrupted Kyurexs idea. The Quilava was right. How the hell were they supposed to know whom to help. How were they even supposed to know that his wasn't just a usual street brawl?

They could only watch. The Persian rapidly tried to hit his enemy, but the Magmortar seemed to be too much. The fire Pokemon easily evaded the Persians attacks.

The cat Pokemon took some steps back.

"You're not going anywhere, intruder..." The Magmortar said, looking at his opponent. The Persians eyes were filled with fear. He spontaneously turned around, trying to run.

"Never..."

The place became bright, and the Magmortar released a raging flamethrower that erupted from his arm. The cat-like creature had no chance of evading it. He collapsed on impact with the fierce attack.

"AHH!! Guuh..."

Kyurex closed his eyes for a moment. HE could understand why the Persian lost conscious. The heat was probably unimaginable.

"What a blast..." Cage was surprised.

Kyurex nodded. "That had to hurt."

"You two!! Have you been sent from another guild? Why are you standing around doing nothing?" The Magmortar, after noticing the two newcomers, steadily approached them. "Guild Breathren has everything under control, your presence is unnecessary. I have already told my colleagues to guard the North, West, and the East gates. We do not need help!!" The fire Pokemon was convinced that Kyurex and Cage were some fellow hunters.

"No. We're only participants of the Bronze Tournament, and we were actually just walking around." Cage answered with confidence, not letting himself feel scared by the powerful Pokemons presence.

The red glowing beast was kind of relieved.

"Oh...sorry to bother you then. It would be best if you seek cover though, as you see the enemy has already managed to infiltrate the city."

Cage and Kyurex looked at each other, a bit confused. The Magmortar was all hyped up, probably from the battle he just had.

"The enemy?" Kyurex asked, but the fire Pokemon had already prepared himself to take off.

"Where are you going?" Cage asked.

"To the South Gate where the city guards are. All other gates are under control." He started running. Kyurex already wanted to follow, but Cage stopped him.

"Wait."

"What? Maybe they need help-"

"I know but....think about this. It doesn't make sense." Something seemed to have sparked Cages curiosity. The Magmortar was now out of sight.

Kyurexs ears perked up again.

"Why?"

"Well...the South gate is protected by city guards. I really don't think they would need any help at all with their numbers, most of them reside there anyway. Plus, if this guy was smart enough to get in, I'm sure he took another way."

"So from where did he come from then?" Kyurex looked at the knocked out Persian. But when he thought about what Cage said he did see some truth in it.

"I'm not quite sure..."

"Wait..." Kyurex gave it a thought. The Persian wanted to make a run for it at the end... "Isn't it logical to think that he would run into the direction he knew about?"

Cage was impressed. He hadn't thought of that one. Both noticed that "thinking" was one of their strong points.

"Yeah...he wouldn't just mindlessly run away into some place unknown to him. And if someone didn't stop him, that means they're probably having some kind of difficulties. Meaning..."

They both looked at the Persian and the path he was facing.

"East." Kyurex stated.

"Let's go."

"So that was some kind of hunter from some guild or what? Speak of the devil." Kyurex said. They both ran at a normal pace. Cage nodded.

"And a strong one at that. I'd say he's Class 3. That's the highest by the way."

"What, there are classes to? I really did miss something in school..." Kyurex said.

"Definitely." Cage agreed.

"Were these the kind of attacks you told me about earlier, or wanted to tell me about?"

"Yeah...Before you came the North Gate was closed because of these attacks, it was only opened recently. The Hunters weren't informed fast enough and that's why you can see people repairing buildings, it was quite heavy. I guess for maximum caution the gate will be closed again, and I'm almost sure these attacks have something to do with the attacks back at Mount.Lessvin. I'm willing to bet this is some kind of underground organization, retaliating or something. It wouldn't be the first time. Even the war of Freedom started like this."

Kyurex was amazed that Cage managed to speak and run.

"Haha...what a joke. That was thousands of years ago. It was a fight for ultimate power, that kind of thing doesn't exist in the present." He laughed, remembering the teachings Mr.Green gave him.

"But it's true...if you think about it, that war, like many others after it, started with small groups attacking random places. I'm sure it's never going to be something like a war, I just said it started like this."

"Well...maybe..."

They were now not too far away from the East Gate. The streets were as empty as ever. After take a turn around a small house they could finally notice something. There it was, both walls seemingly ended there, revealing a wide gap.

"I guess we were right." Kyurex said.

Even though it was still a remarkable distance away, the fire type attacks were clearly visible even from where Kyurex and Cage were. They came nearer.

There was a lot going on, but Kyurex still could tell who was battling against whom. There was a Combusken, a Magmar and a Macargo, fighting against a Graveler, Mr.Mime and a Magneton.

"Whom do we help now?" Kyurex asked. Cage thought.

"I'm pretty sure the guild our friend from before mentioned is type orientated. I can almost guarantee you that the fire types are the side we need to help. Besides, the position they're in shows that the non fire types probably came from the other side."

"Let's do it then..."

"Right."

They both darted of in different directions. Cage naturally ran to the Magneton, who was battling the Combusken. Kyurex ran to the Magmar who battling a Mr.Mime.

Both groups were surprised at first, and Kyurex knew that he had to use the time he got to try and attack the opponent.

  • - - - - Later

The opponents were overwhelmed with ease. It was 5 against 3 after all. The fire types made sure that the enemies they had just beaten couldn't escape. Of course they tried to defend themselves but it was of no use, they had already been beaten up badly.

"Ey...Kyu..." Cage nudged the Umbreon who was standing next to him. His volume was only loud enough for Kyurex to hear.

"Hmmm?" Kyurex turned to the Quilava. The others were still busy.

"What should we tell them who we are? They'll get suspicious on us...And we aren't guild members either.."

The Magmar, after finishing his duty and letting his friends do the rest, started to approach thee two. Kyurex thought.

"Leave this one to me." He whispered back just before the fire type reached them.

"Who are you two?" he directly asked, sounding kind of strict. No wonder with all the mess that was going on it was hard to trust strangers. Kyurex already knew what to say.

"We've been asked by the City Guards to check out this gate. We also had to stop an individual on the way here, do you know anything about this?"

"Oh...I guess that was our mistake."

"Any details?"

"Well it's rather simple actually. One of our troops, Mark, ran after the enemy on sight. We naturally followed...and left the gate open for a while. As soon as we came back it was too late...these guys here attacked us. We're sorry for letting something this stupid happen..."

"No worries. What's your friend, his kind?"

"Oh...eh, he's a Simisear. We're going after him, my boss will kill me if something happens with him."

"That's ok, we'll do that." Kyurex said. The other fire types were now also present. The Magmar didn't understand.

"I'm sure that we can-"

"And who will guard the gate?" Kyurex didn't let him finish. The Magmar saw the point. "Trust us. You keep the city safe, and we'll get your friend. Okay?"

Cage analyzed the Umbreons way of speaking. He was very persuasive, the way he picked his tone, his gestures, his movements. No wonder he seemed so convincing.

The Magmar shared a discussion with his other friends. They didn't have much of a choice, they had orders to protect the city, and they had to make sure nothing stupid happened like the incident that happened just before. After a while they looked back at Cage and Kyurex.

"Okay. We'll believe you. Just be careful, we don't know how many enemies are lurking out there."

Kyurex, after giving Cage a nod, walked past the gate. He turned his head to face the Magmar.

"Don't worry, we'll be back sooner than you know it."

They went deeper and deeper into the woods being unsuccessful in their mission. Their seemed to be no one around. Kyurex after standing on something sharp, tensed up his paw.

"Hmm...Any ideas on how we should search for him?" The Umbreon asked the Quilava who was beside him, also having some issues with the vegetation.

"Honestly - No."

"Damn...."

They kept on walking, looking literally everywhere. Kyurex sat down. He needed to find this Simisear, he promised he would. Cage sat down next to him.

"Phew...I can't believe they'd, just vanish like that, at least some kind of clue...or a sign would be helpful."

Kyurex and Cage both fell silent. They had to both think hard on this one. There were just no leads...

No sign....

Kyurex thought about it....

There was no sign....If there would only be a sign....

"Cage!! You're a genius!" Kyurex jumped up, sparked by a new idea. Ages eyes widened.

"What? What did I do?"

"A sign! You just have to make a sign!"

"Like what?"

Kyurex shook his head.

"For example shootin up a flamethrower into the air? If he's around and smart enough, he'll answer!"

Cage looked unsure about the idea. Wouldn't the enemy notice it too? The Umbreon on the other hand was sure it would work. He begged.

"Come on, lets give it a try!"

After hesitating for a moment, Cage got up.

"Well...I'm not sure if its a good idea but, better than nothing I guess..."

Kyurex was satisfied. He sat down while watching his friend point his muzzle at the sky.

Something started glowing and-

* FLASH *

A strong wave of fire penetrated the air, lighting up the small area around them. The Quilava gave it his all, managing to bring the fire to about six meters high. A flame also appeared on the fire types head and back, showing just how much strength he put into the attack. If anyone was close by they were bound to see it.

"Awesome...hopefully this will save us the search..."

They both waited, sitting there and looking at the sky around them. After some minutes Cages started to walk again.

"We failed-"

"Look!"

And indeed, not to far away there was a line of orange piercing the air. Kyurex gave Cage a wise look.

"You were saying?"

"Tell me boy, is the Princess in the city?" The Banette asked the Simisear, who was paralyzed. The ghost types voice sounded very hollow, and it was weird that you could hear him even though his mouth stayed shut.

The fire type weakly answered.

"I said this before and I'll say it again...I don't know, and if I would, I wouldn't tell you." he coughed. The Banette was enraged, he just couldn't make his prey talk.

"Why you little!!"

"Hey! Stop right there!!" Kyurex shouted, coming to a halt about two meters away. Cage stood next to him. The Umbreon looked at the Simisear, who seemed to be in a bad shape. The enemy, a Ghost type, wore a seemingly constant, evil smile. His eyes glowed with a fire like orange, while he himself levitated in the air next to his hostage.

"Well looky here...some friends came to help you out." The Banette smirked, giving Kyurex a glare. "Do you want to save him?"

Kyurex turned quickly to Cage.

"Take care of the Simisear, I have an advantage against this guy."

"Got it." Cage agreed. Kyurex took a step forward.

"You and me. One on one. Right now." The Umbreon calmly said, preparing himself. The Banette, after giving his enemy a grin, levitated to the side, standing three meters away from Kyurex. They both starred into each others eyes. Cage attended to the Simisear, who seemed to be in a bad shape.

"You will die." The Banette whispered. Kyurex didn't react in any manner.

"I know. But somehow I've got the feeling you won't live until that day."

It was rare for Kyurex to start, but he was confident. He dashed towards the Ghost type.

He jumped, opening his mouth.

The Banette was prepared. A loud sound erupted from its head, making Kyurex lose control and fall to the floor. He had never heard something this loud before, it made him feel all the bones in his body.

Screech.

Kyurex tried to rub his ears with his paws. It sounded like a thousand females screaming at the top of their voices.

"Arrgh....Damn it..." He felt like his ear drums were still vibrating, and he felt a shiver go through his body as he thought about the disturbing sound. "What a move."

Before he knew it some kind of force tried to take control over his body, and Kyurex thought his flesh was lighting fire.

Nightshade.

The Umbreon shook free. The move wasn't very effective against dark types, so he was kind of lucky. He used his speed to evade another incoming Nightshade that the opponent directly launched at him after the first one. Maybe it wasn't effective, but it wasn't exactly pleasant either. The Umbreon noticed the ghost type charging up an energy in front of its teeth. He knew this move.

So he did the same, aiming it at the evil creature.

Just as the Banette prepared to release, Kyurex let go of the dark energy.

Shadowball.

There was a powerful collision of the two attacks, which made the atmosphere around it all blurred. Though it was obvious which one of them was more fierce.

"Urrgh!!" The ghost Pokemon was overpowered.

The Umbreon didn't waste time. He had to attack now.

Bite.

But the Banette disappeared right before his eyes, making him land on the now empty land. He secured his balance just in time to not fall.

"Huh?" Kyurex looked around. His enemy was gone.

"Eh-!?" The Umbreon suddenly received a powerful blow on his chest seemingly out of nowhere. He should of known that the Banette could also use Faint Attack. The dark type fell backwards, and immediately got back up.

They again stood 3 meters away from each other. The Umbreons breathing accelerated, and his enemy smiled.

"You are powerful...too powerful. But don't think it's the last time we will meet, dark one."

And with that, he seemingly vaporized into the darkness. Silence took over, and only Kyurex breathing could be heard.

"Damn...that was my first time facing a ghost. And I'd say...I did pretty well!" He praised himself, approaching Cage who was looking after the Simisear. He only now noticed that the Pokemon was heavily wounded, enduring the pain.

"Good job...but we need to get our friend here to his teammates as fast as possible."

"Right...."

"Oh my god, guys!! It's Fegor!!" The Magmar waved to his comrades as soon as he saw Kyurex and Cage, with the Simisear on his back, approach the gate. All of them rushed to help almost immediately.

"What happened Fegor? You okay?" The Combusken asked, sounding desperate. Cage, after giving the Simisear into the Magmars arms, answered for him.

"He's got some serious wounds but nothing too problematic. I'd say a city healer could patch him up easily."

"I can't thank you enough strangers...we are in your debt." They bowed. Kyurex seemed concerned, taking a step forward.

"Were there any attacks while we were absent?"

The Combusken shook his head. "Strangely enough...no. It was all quiet."

Kyurex somehow felt better. He didn't like the thought of having a whole city in an uproar.

"Excuse us, but we need to report back to our team leader. Org, you stay here and guard the gate for a bit, okay?"

"Sure." The Macargo moved to his position, sliding across the grass. The others after bidding a farewell and another thanks hurried off. Cage and Kyurex, after resting for a bit, decided to head home, better said their homes for the time being.

"Well, that was one hell of a night. I'm going to sleep like a beast..." Cage yawned as soon as the two had to part ways. They had been chatting the whole way, and Kyurex found it quite depressing to go separate ways but had to admit that he was quite beat himself. They still had a lot to discuss but neither of them had the energy left. The fatigue took over.

"Yeah. It was fun too. I'm really impressed how you noticed that the Magmortar wasn't thinking correctly...without you I'd probably have ran off after him." Kyurex complimented Cage, who only shook his head in response.

"Nah...it was you in the end who had that bright idea to make a signal. I would have never thought of that one..."

"Hehe..." Both of them laughed for a while, remembering all the team work. It wasn't something the Umbreon could do with his team mates, and the same went for Cage too. The Quilava then turned to the right, starting to walk.

"I hope its not the last time we'll work together."

"Right back at ya! See ya!!" Kyurex called back, also starting to walk. There were probably a lot of Pokemon around who were trying to sleep, but he didn't care. Neither did Cage.

"See ya!"

And with that, Kyurex headed off to his cave.
