"Just what do you think you are doing?" The voice originated from behind me, nearly causing me to jump out of my fur.

"This is MY kill!" Said the voice again. I finally turned my head to view what was speaking and caught a glimpse of the thing. Only seeing a quick glimpse of it, I was not able to ascertain much about its form. Only from my knowledge of the area, and what lives in it, I knew that it was a wolf. Obviously a rather efficacious one, for being able to take down the Übergewicht Kaninchen is a great feat. One that, even with all my strength and cunning, I am not sure I could complete.

Soon after turning my head however, the nameless wolf scurried away from my prying eyes. I attempted to call after him; (even though I almost knew it would be fruitless.) this only made him slink away faster, blending in with the natural terrain of rock and tree.

Knowing that curiosity killed the cat (but not caring that much) I started to follow in the wolf's tracks; I then however realized that the king of all kills was lying just mere feet from my paws.

Realizing I had quite the dilemma on my paws (and not much time do decide.) I had to go with my gut instinct. I scrambled around the corpse, ripping branches from their moorings in trees to attempt to hide the body for later retrieval. I soon saw that simple branches were not enough to hide the massive form, so I grabbed dirt and leaves in my muzzle and cast them hastily over the mound, doing a sufficient job of hiding it from plain sight but, there was nothing that I could do for the smell.

Knowing my best hope was that no one would find the king of kills. I began the search for that certain wolf. "I have lost enough time already." I thought.

What most people don't realize is that moving silently and quickly through thick foliage, is not an easy task. That is, if you don't have four agile legs with sinewy muscles affixed to shock-resistant tendons adhered to robust bones. All of these things put together made foxes stand out among the forest community. That And other tid-bits of random fact were floating around in my brain as I mercilessly stalked the still nameless wolf.

Soon realizing that the wolf has too much of a head start on me, (And that I would be better off searching in the morning) I be looking around for a place to sleep for the night. After several dead ends, and even a close call with a bear, I finally found a suitable outcropping of rocks. With a majestic view of mountain tops and river valleys and to lull me to sleep, I was soon dreaming of chasing faceless wolves through the forest floor. Never quite being able to reach them...

So I hadn't originally planned on a sequel, but the little plot bunny kept nibbling on my tows every time I would leave it alone so, Vwala! Here is (or should I say there was) Part two. I would normally say chapter two but, I prefer to think of this as an, unintended continuation of the original.
