"This sucks! We haven't battled other teams yet or anything!! It's like one big, boring walk man...." Blaze moaned.

Kyurex stopped, and so did his comrades. They had reached the top of a hill, and shared a breath taking view over something they had never seen before.

The Umbreon was amazed. This is what they called a city. Kyurex figured the stone structures were what they called buildings, and really had to give it a thought how Pokemon were able to create such things.

"Wow...so much of these weird ruins..." May whispered, her eyes unable to close.

"So called Buildings, I remember Mr.Blugsdorn teaching us about this. If the route we took was correct, then this must be Altala, the fifth biggest city on the Second Island." Kyurex proudly said, enjoying the breeze that slightly hit against his face.

Kyurex smiled, he couldn't wait to find out more about Altala, and what differences there were between life in a city and life in a village. The fact that battles were also a common thing in cities also made him feel all hyped up. And this was the time before the Bronze Tournament, so going in a city as one of the participants made you destined to face opponents at one time or another.

Kyurex took one big breath and gave Altala one last glance, turning to his friends.

"Unfair!! No fair!!" Blaze shouted at the grinning Mightyena before him. He looked exhausted.

"You're just weak..." May quietly said. Blaze spat at the ground, hitting a patch of grass next to Kyurex.

"Racist..." The Houndoom whispered, walking next to Kyurex. May laughed.

"OK, guys, lets get going. And lets try to behave once we're in the city....okay Blaze?"

"Why do you always have to mention me man!!"

Kyurex, without giving it a second thought, started walking direction downhill. He knew it was the easiest and most efficient way to sparkle some motion in his team.

Kyurex looked around. The City was huge, and there were so much things to see at once. What caught his attention was that there were a lot of Machokes walking around, building or repairing, he couldn't tell, the different structures around him. He had also never been to such a public place, there were Pokemon everywhere, literally, and not only one kind, but seemingly all. May and Blaze kept close to the Umbreon. They stopped at some turning point.

"So, where to now?" May questioned Kyurex, who was lost in thought.

"To be honest, I'm not quite sure...I guess we need a place to stay at so that we have enough time to get some general info, and I mean, we definitely need a break." The Umbreon said. Blaze beamed with joy.

"Wooohoo!!"

Suddenly, some one from the mass of people passing by bumped into Blaze.

"What the-? Wait..." Blaze looked at the stranger, who also turned around. "Cage?"

"Blaze?"

"Cage man!! What're you doing here???"

"Hey!" Cage replied.

Kyurex also recognized the Pokemon. It was the Quilava he had met back when they where at Mount.Lessvin. Blaze put on a questioning face.

"I thought you had some business back at your place? And how the hell did you get here before us?"

The Quilava smiled, stepping aside to let the other bypassers walk by.

"Our village chieftain thought it would be best if some of us assembled some teams and also participated in the tournament, although we subscribed a bit late, it was still okay..." He explained. "And the issue with the other Pokemon has calmed down a bit, though its still a bother. I've heard Altala has experienced even more severe problems then our village."

May and Kyurex looked surprised. The Umbreon a step forward.

"What...like has it been attacked or what?"

The Quilava turned to face Kyurex.

"Yeah...something like that. I'll explain later. So, have you got yourselves checked in?" he asked. Blaze didn't understand.

"What does that mean?"

"Well, I'll be honest. We just came here and, we've actually never been to a city before." Kyurex interrupted.

"Oh...well, I could help you guys out. My team is busy watching the battles at the Battle Corner, so I've got time."

Kyurex, after hearing the word "Battle"-

"Battle corner?"

"Easy....easy....first things first."

"So...what's this place again?" Kyurex asked.

They stood in front of two guards, a Rhydon and a Hitmonlee to be exact. They seemed to be guarding a passage in the wall to a tropical like place. Kyurex could see some Pokemon walk around, chatting to each other.

"Its kind of like a forest for Pokemon who would like to stay for a day or two. Its surrounded by a wall, making it like a part of the city itself. Of course, you need some kind of permission to stay here, but your Bronze Tournament registration will help you out here. Lets go and check it out."

The Quilava proceeded to approach an Alakazam, who was sitting nearby. He seemed to be in deep meditation and didn't mind the sun at all. His eyes were also closed.

"Excuse me...I would like you do register this team here. They've come to stay for a short time."

Cage said, not being sure if the Alakazam had heard him. The psychic creature eventually opened his eyes. He looked at May, then Blaze, then Kyurex.

"Team 76. Yes, they may pass." the seemingly tired being closed his eyes again.

Kyurex was amazed. The Alakazam, just by looking, could tell which team they were.

"That's it. Now we've only got to find you guys a place that is still free."

"You see, there's a hole next to each cave and wooden hut. And there's also a stone either in the hole, or near it. If the stone is in the hole, then the place has already been taken. So we've just got to find you some place that is free, put the stone into the hole, and then you'll have to take it out once you leave. It's as simple as that."

"Convenient..." Kyurexs curiosity was at its maximum. Everything was different.

They all walked passed some trees, and hills full of caves, and there were also some kind of wooden structures everywhere which seemed to be made of branches. Cage referred to them as "Huts".

Most of the places were taken, but the deeper they went into the forest, the more places were free. May and Blaze also gazed in amazement. This was something they had never seen living in a village.

"And if somebody just, like, fills holes for fun?" May asked. Cage shook his head.

"I don't think someone would do that. I mean, sure, there are probably some kids around who would find it funny, but mostly the tourists here just respect the fact that they've got a place to stay at."

Blaze smirked, looking at May.

"Yeah, only Kyurex fills holes for fun. Know what I mean? Hahaha-"

"BLAZE!!!"

"Ahh!!" The Houndoom yelped, instantly looking for a place to hide.

Both May, and Kyurex, turned to face Blaze. Cage, not expecting it, also turned around in surprise. Kyurex, after giving the grinning Blaze a serious stare faced Cage.

"Ehem....sorry about that. So, where did you say you guys were staying?"

"Ey guys!! This looks awesome! I'm putting in the stone!"

Kyurex and Cage were only fast enough to witness the Houndoom push a stone with his paw.

"Blaze!! Ah MY GOD why...WHY ARE you so IGNORANT??!!!" May let out her rage. Blaze elegantly sat down, smirking.

"What? This is a nice place...who cares where we'll stay?"

Cage sighed, Kyurex looked at the ground. There was nothing unusual about the situation, he honestly had expected something like this coming. He took a look at the cave which Blaze had picked, and it wasn't really bad at all.

"No matter, it isn't bad here." Kyurex approached the Cave. Cage followed, and Blaze grinned at May.

"See? Told you."

The Mightyena ignored the Houndoom, following the other two. Blaze, a bit disappointed, also went inside.

"Well what do you know!! It's comfy and all. Awesomeness!! Now lets go and battle!" Blaze exclaimed.

All of them observed the place. The cave had some piles of leaves, about five, which Kyurex had not expected. He thought that they were lucky enough just getting a place to stay.

Cage sat down, and so did the others. Blaze jumped on the nearest bunch of leaves.

"Oh,,,nearly forgot. I should really go and check on my team. I think you won't have any problems finding out more by yourselves."

Blaze also got up.

"OH YEAH! Kyu, I'm going out for a walk...okay?" Thee Houndoom jumped in front of the Umbreon. Kyurex didn't hesitate to answer.

"Sure, no problem. Just, please...calm down." he answered. Blaze made a victorious kind of pose.

"And you?" he then asked. Kyurex knew that the Houndoom would bring that question.

"I'll take a rest...I need some time to settle down. You go on and have fun with Cage or something."

"May?"

"I'll also stay here..."

There was an awkward silence. Blaze smirked.

"Aahhh....."

"Blaze!" May tried to prevent the Houndooms speech, regardless of what he was going to say next, but Cage interrupted them.

"Let's go wise guy..." he said, walking to the exit. "See ya later guys."

"Till later. We'll maybe come and watch some battles with you." The Umbreon replied. Blaze followed Cage. Just before leaving the cave he gave his friend a last glance.

"Hehe...just leave at least one bed intact, okay?" he smiled, disappearing after Cage.

"Uhh...." Kyurex collapsed on his bed, letting out the stored air in his lungs. He was finally able to have a decent rest, not having to be worried about anything, because unlike before, he wasn't out sleeping in the open, where anybody, at anytime, could appear.

This city life made him curios, and he found it somewhat refreshing that everything was so different. He couldn't wait to go and watch the battles. Maybe he could even participate himself...plus there were so many new Pokemon that he had never seen before. It was all like a small dream come true.
