I orinally wanted to post chapters separately, but none of them meet the 8K character minimum, so I'll more than likely double-post them until I reach the longer chapters. Apologies ahead of time. =^_^=

Tauron's Adventures

Chapter I

He walked down a narrow, beaten path through the woods. He paid now attention to what was going on around him, just on where he was going. He happened to pass an elderly man on the path. In a deep voice, he asked, "Sir, do you happen to know where this path leads?"

"Why yes I do," replied the old man. "It leads to the village in which I live, Qirnock. Just keep on walking for oh, say about two to three more kilometers, and you'll be there."

"Thank you, and here, for your troubles..." He reaches into a small pouch on the right side of his waist, and the pulls out some 35 Gold which he then gives to the man. After that, he headed on his way again.

The man had a slightly bewildered look on his face, which soon turned to delight. He then called back to the mysterious man, "You're welcome! And beware of the fiends that roam the area!"

^Tch!," he said under his breath. "The fiends here are much too weak to pose any challenge for me." He continued walked, and soon enough, he reached the small village of Qirnock. As he walked on the cobblestone path through the village, he paid no attention to the people who stared and pointed at him. Why they were ogling him didn't surprise him one bit either. It was because of his appearance.

He was more or less a creature rather than a human. He had a human's stature, bipedal, but was built like a dog. His entire body was covered in a fur that was a radiant crimson red. He had a dog's hindquarters, a dog's face, dog's ears, and a dog's tail. His upper body was that of a human's, but more muscular. His hands resembled a human's as well, though he possessed claws. His eyes were completely black, except his iris† was red. His overall muscular structure was phenomenal, almost equal to that of the gods. His height was a nice 6'6", and his weight was around 200 lbs. His attire was also a bit odd. He wore loose-fitting black leather pants, and had three unusually small pouches strapped to his waist. One was on his left, with a large handle of some sort protruding from it. The other two were on his right side. He wore a red shawl over the left side of his chest, and the ends were fastened at his right hip. You could make out the end of a large scar across his chest. He wore a pair of shades as well. When he spoke, he possessed a deep voice that had a raspy growl to it.

He walked through the town to what he assumed the central building of the village. On the wall, he noticed a bulletin:

**"HELP WANTED!

All volunteers, preferably wanderers and adventurers, report inside for more detailed information"**

"Hmm, it's about time I found some work," he said. "All of this wandering without any work has become quite the bore." With that, he headed up the steps and into the building.

As he entered the building, he was greeted by an armored man. "Halt! What business do you have here?"

He got a disgusted look on his face. "Tch, I'm here to volunteer my services regarding your post."

"Oh, sorry, I apologize," the armored man replied. He then motioned to a man seated a table. "That's who you need to talk to concerning the post."

"Thanks." He then walks over to the table, and then says, "Excuse me, human. I am here to volunteer my services."

"Human? Who you callin' hum... Oh," he replied as he looked up and noticed the creature looming over him. "Uh ... yeah, we have been looking for help lately. We have a particularly dangerous fiend running around and eating our livestock, but most importantly, it is eating our familiars."

"And let me guess you want me to kill it, right?," he replied.

"Well, we highly doubt you would be able to KILL it, but if you can at least manage to run it out of the area, then we would more than happily reward you with 20,000 Gold Pieces. BUT, if you manage to kill it, which we highly doubt, then we will willingly pay you TRIPLE the reward," said the man.

"Consider it done," he said with a boasting tone.

"We HAVE, however, managed to find its nest, which is deep within the eastern part of the forest."

"Good. At least it saves me SOME work. Well then, I'm off, and I guarantee that I will return with the creature's head," he said.

"Sir, for all intending purposes, we need to know your name, that way we will know who to congratulate if you were to complete the task," said the man, slightly stood up and bent over the table.

He walked to the door, and slightly turned his name back towards the man. "The name's Tauron." With that, he left the building. After stepping outside, he said to himself, "Hmmm, I need to lighten the load a little." H then headed on his way to the town's weapon shop.

The weapon smith heard his door open, and hastily stood up and said, "Welcome, traveler, what can I do for you today?"

"Yes, do you buy weapons?," Tauron replied.

"Of course, of course! What do you have?," he said.

"These...," said Tauron. He then reached to his right side and unfastened a small, light brown pouch, and then opened it, and dumped its contents on the floor of the shop. Among these were common weapons, rare weapons, and some shields and protective gear. It was quite the collection of items, to say the least.

The metal smith's eyes went wide with disbelief, wondering how it was possible to fit that many weapons into such a tiny space.

"How much can you give me for these?," he inquired.

"Let's see here..." The man inspected every piece, and stood up and said, "Hmmm, I can give you about 5OO thousand Gold pieces for all that."

"Good, I'll take it. Just put it in here." He opened up another pouch and waited patiently as the man put his payment into the pouch. After then, he took both pouches and fastened them both back to his right hip. "Good day to you, sir," he said as he calmly waved to the man and walked out of the shop.

He approached the edge of the forest, and began to make his way to where the man had claimed its nest would be. After about 2 hours of walking around and searching, he finally cam upon a clearing, and found the creature gorging itself on familiars and livestock.

"Heh," he said under his breath. "Now's the time where I have fun, heh heh heh ..." He then reached to his left hip where his other pouch was, and grabbed a hold of the handle that was sticking out of it. He then slowly removed the handle, revealing a sword of phenomenal proportions. His sword was on a grand scale of 9 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 3 inches thick. With his sword in hand, he then raced towards the creature from behind, jumped up into the air, and prepared to make battle. "HAAAAA!!!"

Tauron's Adventures

Chapter II

"HAAAAAA!!!!," he cried as he came down upon the beast, swinging his sword. Unsurprisingly, the beast easily dodged his attack and turned around, and swung at Tauron with one of its huge fists. The fist made contact, and then the beast roared as Tauron went flying through trees due to the force of the punch. "Ugh! Oh! Ah! Ow! Ughn!," he grunted as he went through tree after tree. He then used his powers and stopped himself in midair. "Hmm, I guess he does make up for his size," he said, floating there.

The creature was odd looking, in that it had no defined body, torso, or neck. Basically a giant ball with short, stocky legs, a face, and huge, obviously powerful arms.

"Well, just sitting here won't get the job done, that's for sure," he said as he grasped his sword again. He then flew over to the creature, sword in hand, and prepared to swing at it. "GRRAAAAHHH!!!"

~~~Back in Town~~~
Unbeknownst to Tauron, an old friend of his was nearby, in Quirnok, Nina. She walked into town, and was met by the same bewildered expressions as Tauron was. She was of the same species as Tauron was, Anthro*. She was a leopardess, and a very beautiful one at that. She was sleek, and wore a beautiful blue dress with yellow trim. She carried a staff, and had the most beautiful brown hair that cascaded down her back. It stopped about midway there.
She could faintly hear some of the people talking. She heard one person say, "Look! It's another one. Just like that one guy that came in earlier today."
"What? Someone else like me is here? But ... who?," she thought to herself. "Could it be? No... it couldn't. But nothing's impossible." She headed towards the same building where Tauron went and volunteered. She noticed the sign and figured that she might as well try it out. She was running short on Gold anyways. She walks inside and goes to the man at the table and says, "Excuse me, I would like to volunteer for the job you had advertised out front."
"Oh, sorry, ma'am, but we gave that job to a man of your ... species earlier."
"Well, where'd he go?," she inquired.
"To the eastern area of the forest," he replied. "That's where he's supposedly going to try and slay the beast."
"Thank you, then," Nina said. Then she headed out the door and over to the forest. After she reached the forest, she heard noises of a battle going on in the distance. "That's where that guy is!," she exclaimed, and with that, she sprinted in the direction of the noise. After a while, a somewhat exhausted Nina reached the area where the battle was taking place.
"GRRRR...," an infuriated Tauron growled at the beast. He uncovered an area of his shoulder where he is badly bruised and cut.
"Oh, my!," said Nina. "He's hurt!"
Tauron grows angry and positions his sword in front of him. "Darn you! WHY WON'T YOU DIE!??!?!," he cried out, and ran up, and began to slash violently at the beast, his every blow being blocked almost effortlessly by the beast. Each time his sword clashed with the creature, it made a thunderous sound, and small shockwaves of power were being seen everywhere.
"That ... person ...," said Nina. "He seems ... so familiar....."
"Screw this bloody thing!," he said, and he hurled his sword off into the distance, causing it to stick into a tree. "Come one! Mono el mono! I'll use my FISTS to stop you!"
Nina gasped. "Is he CRAZY? Trying to fight that monster with his bare fists?" She sat down in a leafy area and watched the battle from afar.
"Come on! Put 'em up!," said Tauron. "Take your best shot!" He coaxed the creature into hitting him by giving it an open shot. The creature swung at him, and Tauron put up a hand in an attempt to stop the attack. He stopped it, but the forced made him slide back, his back paws digging into the ground. "Tsk, tsk, tsk...... nonono. That's not a punch, my friend. THIS is a punch!" As he said that, he ducked under the monster's other arm and punched it as hard as he could in the gut. The creature roared in pain, but afterwards saw the opportunity, and grabbed a hold of Tauron in a bear hug, and began to squeeze with immense power. "AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!," Tauron cried out in pain.
"Oh dear!," Nina covered her mouth in a surprised manner. "I think he's in trouble!"
"Oh no.......you....don't!," Tauron said. With that, he began to growl under his breath, and a faint white glow began to surround his body. He began to wiggle around a little bit in the monster's grasp, and the white aura grew larger. His subtle growl eventually grew to a loud roar, and then his aura pushed the creature back with tremendous force, and he just stayed there, hovering just above the ground, glowing and growling quietly. "You've been a bad boy," he says while shaking his finger at the monster. "Now it's time for your whoopin'." He floats up into the air, and then he lets out a loud roar, and he begins to transform. He grows to be almost four times his original size, and his fur becomes a shiny silver. His eyes become entirely black, and he finishes the transformation his hands take on a more doglike form. He calmly floats back down to the ground, and then looks up at the creature, and puts a sarcastic smirk on his face.
"Wait a second," said Nina. "That couldn't be... I only know one person who can transform like that, but that couldn't really be him, could it? I couldn't be Tauron... Or is it?"
"You done gone and pissed me off, boy," he said with a sarcastic tone. "And I doubt you'll like me now. Time to finish this pointless fight." With that, he temporarily disappeared, and reappeared right in front of the monster, and crouched down slightly, and gently tapped the creature in the stomach, and it doubled over in pain. He then rushed quickly behind the monster and kicked it in the back, sending it going face-first into the ground. He then reached down and grabbed a hold of the monster's left arm, and picked him up with such force, that he ripped the creature's arm off. "Awww, did that hurt?," he said sarcastically. "Oh well, it will all be over soon." He then picked up the monster, and threw him up into the air. He quickly made pursuit and caught up, and then kicked him back towards the ground with tremendous force. He then watched as the creature hit the ground creating a small crater from the force of the impact.
His body began to gain a black aura now, and he held his hands out in front of him, and a large archaic ring formed in front of him, with 7 symbols. He then called out seven elements, ad each one took its spot on the archaic ring. "Earth! Fire! Wind! Water! Ice! Thunder! Holy! Come together! ARCHAIC BLAST!" He then moves his arm around in a circle, and then thrust his arm forward, sending all seven elements at the creature. The resulting blast destroyed the creature, and he floated down to see if any remains were there. "Dang it all!," he said as he slowly transformed back to normal. "Now I can't get that triple reward. Guess I'll have to settle for a mere 20,000." He walks over to a lone tree and pulls his sword out of it, and then sheaths it back into that small pouch on his left hip.
"Amazing! That MIGHT be Tauron...but the Tauron I know is much smaller, not as buff, or as tall," said Nina. "Oh, crap! He's coming this way! Can't let him see me." She quickly sprints off back to town.
~~~Back in Town, in the town courthouse~~~

"Here, I have defeated the creature, and since I have no proof, I will accept the 20,000 Gold," said Tauron to the man.

"Very well, here you go," replied the man. He then motion for a guard to come over with the money, and Tauron calmly scooped it out of the bag into his pouch.

"Good day," called Tauron as he left. As he exited the building, he bumped into Nina, knocking her down. He then helped her up. His eyes grew wide in surprise. "N-Nina?"

"Tauron?," she replied. She looked just as surprised as him, as they both stared at each other in bewilderment.
