Another experiment that has arrived within my mind. I'm currently having writer's block and thus my mind is making up stories that might or might not become a series. I'm just having another story that can have potential but not much a future to say for the least.

The story is mild, cause I don't have any idea for this but my brain is telling me something... maybe in the end of the story.

The Hand and Arrow

"How boring..." Said a black form in the darkness as his red glowing eyes look from side to side, viewing nothing but the endless void that is space and the multiple universes, dimensions and existences.

"My lord, is there something troubling you?" Said a much lighter voice than the first as the form stands beside the first.

"The worlds are quite lovely this time of year, but the many other worlds continue to be arrogant and oblivious about the universe and those beyond their reach." The first form said as he looks on, looking at planet by planet, world by world.

"Then, shall we teach those arrogant worlds my lord?" The second form asked looking at what the other was looking.

"Not all of them." The first said as he looked at one of the planets. "Like this for example, the planet - what humans call - Earth." The first explained as he looks on the blue and green planet.

"What about them, my lord?" asked the second as he viewed the planet.

"They are currently busy fighting amongst themselves that they could not achieve their full potential" The first said as he signs with disappointment.

"And what do you plan, my lord?"

"Though they are against each other, only one power, a human at that, can change everything for the better." The first said as he looks at his subordinate. "Is there any other worlds compatible with this one?"

The second soon started to look, moving from views or worlds, and even alternations in dimensions until, "Only 3 are compatible with "EARTH"." The second explained as he waited for any other instructions.

"Elaborate them to me." The first commended.

"The first is the parallel of this world, though it does follow an evolutionary state similar to the humans' idea of evolution, the animals had taken dominance and are in a state similar to the other parallel. The only drawback is that they have achieved technological advancement but are quite missing a few that humans have invented while a few that humans have no need for. But there seems to be half-feral that still exists among this parallel. I believe the human would call this a "Furry" parallel..." The second explained the first.

"Intriguing, a parallel world... to this one... But I must hear what the other is." The first stated, signaling the second to start.

"The second is a world just as similar to "Earth" and its parallel, the only difference is that both human and animal kinds, furries in most humans' interest, have achieved complete coexistence and evolution while on par or above the technological feat of "Earth"." The second explained as he looks at his lord.

"Hm..." the first looked on as he saw the two compatible worlds but moved back to the parallel. "I know that the last of all selection are dead worlds or oblivion... Let's take the parallel so that we wouldn't cause any error and existence flux." The first explained as he started to storm in his mind.

"But my lord, what do you plan to do?" The second, not sure what to say as he looks on the blue planet like the first.

"I need a human... one that can change this world... by seeing the parallel." The first elaborated as he somehow views the world quite closely. "And I seem to have found that human." He said some as he extended a hand and a model of the human he pointed out materialized from a plume of black smoke. This human was a proportionate size to the real one. His eyes were a faint yellow, his hair a shade of black and his body is built just as ordinary as the average human.

The second looks on as his lighter red eyes look and observe the human. "My lord, he is but a human journalist, nothing more and nothing less. He will not fare well in the world of furries." He responded as he looks quite unimpressed with the first's choice.

"But this journalist has connections that can support his claims. I'm sure he'll get evidence, definite evidence. He might even have a parallel that can help him." The first said as he withdraws his hand, the small model of the human disappearing in a puff of black smoke.

"Are you sure my lord?" The second questioned as he looks on.

"I will, these beings believed in many gods in time, in history and the past, But I know we can change that and find them a path of unification and peaceful harmony." The first said as his black form stood firm and solid as he looks on.

The second taking aback by his lord's actions just stares at the planet as his lord's plan starts to move but only one problem, "Won't the gods of old and now be on to us?" The second's voice strains with worry as he feared what to happen to them.

"I know, but I must, these "Humans" are the only beings that will achieve more in the future if they start to realize that they were meant for more." The first said with benediction and confidence in his voice.

"Whatever you say my lord, your work shall move as you wish." The second added as the two stare on and on not flinching as their view on the world and that certain human they plan on moving shall turn the tides of destiny and the future.

The clock is ticking; the destiny is placed on one human, a human that will make that change, as long as he survives long enough. His works, his discovery, his own decisions will define where the arrow of destiny shall point. Chaos, never ending conflicts, the null, straining peace or harmony, these are the choices that the arrow will point. As of now, it points to never ending conflicts as the world has not found a common ground among their kind. NO one can say what this human can do. If only we knew what he was doing now?

*RING!* *RING!* *RING!* "Darn blasted clock!" A man said from under the covers of his bed as one of his hands lazily sneak out, trying to hammer the alarm clock and its annoying noise. Attempt one, two and finally three the ringing sound stopped as he rouses from his bed, his black hair messed and ruffled, his face showing sleep than wake as he flaps his eyelids some, turning his head and stretching an arm or so as he wakes his body. This human was Oliver Pete Z. Scoops, a Journalist of the "Truth and Trade" Newspaper. He specializes on big scoops or extraordinary scoops. He was a black haired, yellow eyed human, a good 5 foot 9 inched height and just the normal build, with a few muscles but nothing major.

He removes his heavy body from the bed as he padded his way to his bathroom. Though he was a journalist, not all scoops gain a large enough paycheck. He had to go for an apartment building and avoid most of the things he wanted. He scratched the back of his head as he looks himself into the mirror.

"Darn blasted day, I get great enough scoops and it makes such great headline and what do I get? Just a 10% increase on my salary for 3 Days of fame..." He groaned and growl ad he splashes himself some water at his face. His latest scoop was an ongoing Mafia family that has operated under the radar of the Police recognition back in Europe. Though it was such a large smuggling this only increased the other and warring mafia groups to be more silent.

"Just another day..." He told himself as he looks at himself in the mirror. "The only new thing I've seen is this my dream..." He said as he tries to remember it as close as he can.

~~~~~~~~
He was standing at nowhere, the endless blackness somewhat appealing but a voice started to speak as he looks from everywhere until he saw two large red eyes stare at him. "Human, you are the herald, the wielder and the Arrow of destiny." Said his deep voice as he looks on, not answering as such most of his dreams. "You shall be the one fueling and guiding this arrow."
The form said as his sights moved by himself as he looks behind him only to find a bright white arrow. The point as sharp as it is while the wide triangular point was that curled into itself. There he could read words arranged in an imaginative semi-circular shape written in colors quite differently.
In Black and in fire, the word "CHAOS" is written, he could feel faint, weak and terror as he stares at the words. The next, beside Chaos was "Never Ending Conflict" colored in bloody red while it still is dripping right onto Chaos as if it will fuel Chaos. The arrow was pointing at it but leans closer to the gray and dull words, "Null" right at the middle and top of it. The next, going back lower, just as high as "Never Ending Conflict" was "Straining Peace" a lining of flowers designing the word "Peace" while knives align as designs for "Straining".
And last but not the least, "HARMONY". This one shone the most, its golden color, bright back light design, the feathery wings on the beginning and end of the word while a choir of angels sang from now where. It felt so warming, so peaceful and somewhat giving strength as he read it and basked at the word.
"You hold the key and the responsibility of your world, human." The same deep voice said to him as he regains his sight at the red eyes. "You may think you are weak and not that worth it but I know you. You have friends in high places, great influence and even your own ability. You are the only one who can guide that arrow of destiny. Don't waste this opportunity, adnwe just might meet again."
~~~~~~~~~~~

His dreams ended there as he awoke. He splashes water at his face once more as he tries to understand the dream that he had. "I'm not sure how that happened but it sounded important." Oliver told himself as he got dressed and looks at his clock, noting him that he had about an hour or so till work would pull him in.

Though the idea of an hour before time was great, it was only the dream that made him speculate things. "Might as well get there early as I hear what Mr. Pat would want to say to me." Oliver said as he gets himself dressed and out of his door.

____________

"OLIVER!" Shouted Mr. Pat at the journalist as he flinched some "Yes, Mr. Pat?" He said quite weakly as he tries to respond only to stare at his boss. "Your scoop only made so much press but we need something more, something that can change our own newspaper to take the 1st most read paper!" Mr. Pat said. This fat and quite annoying looking human was Oliver's boss. He was the best and the most hard pushing man you could expect as he bangs his fist on his desk, staring back at Oliver.

"Well, a scoop like my latest or something of a higher caliber mean I need to be out of the country more... sir." Oliver said quite meekly since his boss has the power to practically fire him. "So you think you can get a bigger scoop out of AMERICA?!" Mr. Pat said as he shouts in the enclosed office as he leans back on his and started to light his cigar, thinking. "Yes sir." Oliver replied quite lowly.

Though it seemed like an eternity for Oliver to be inside his boss' office, Mr. Pat soon slid a small envelope on his desk where it was soon closer to Oliver. Taking this as a sign, he took it and looked at it. There he saw the words as he looks back at Mr. Pat. "I heard from some of our sources that there is some good enough news that America needs to hear." He said quite soundly as Oliver looks over at the words.

"You have got to be kidding me...?!" He said as he looks at his boss with eyes of surprise and quite profound worry.

Ok, my mind is having thoughts for this. Do the audience want to see the main character be whisked into the parallel world through...

A) The Bermuda triangle

B) A random temporal rift

C) An undiscovered portal

You can tell me what you wish... I'm just going to let my brain take this and he'll do the rest while I take my writer's block somewhere... Comment, Vote and whatever, I'm not picky.
