Daily Tragedies

Staring down an empty hallway, walking down a lonely road, or maybe it's just lying alone in your bed thinking when you get the empty feeling. The sickening thought of, will I find my soul mate in life? Will I be stuck with growing old desperate, alone, and heartbroken, or should I take the chance of finding that someone that's right for me, the one person that can make my life something to live for? I've been told, just wait, the right person will come and sweep you right off of your feet. Bullshit, tell me one good story that this has happened to you and believe it when I see it. People can come and say everything they want about this and that, but when it comes down to it you're just like everyone else, just looking for the "perfect" person for them, good luck, and this was the mentality Tig had.

What was it like being a small tiger in an overly large high school? What about adding that this was no normal town, everything was run by the church; religion was the center of the community. How about being a small, gay tiger in an overly religious community? If you can imagine that you can get an idea of how Tig was treated throughout his years in Stockton. This simple town was that at best, simple. It's residents were mostly farmers, working day in day out on their own little patches of dirt trying to make a living, while Tig, well he dreamed of bigger things. With the god given gift of understanding that life isn't just going to be handed over to you he had his life planned out after school. Moving to The City, getting an apartment and getting that big wonderful job everyone wanted. But he knew that he had to work hard, and for the past few years before graduating he did just that, and earned himself a few scholarships to the college in The City. Wondering about his parents? Don't, they're just like every single other person in Stockton, dumb over worked farmers. Yeah, he loved them, but they didn't think he was going to amount to anything, or that he would even make it out of the little dirt patch Stockton was. Because, I mean, what could a gay tiger do, right?

3 Years After High School

"What the fuck Tig? What in your little mind would think that this is right?!" Cale screamed fiercely over at the tiger. "I...I..don't know..." sobbed out Tig, his ears pushed down against his soft white furred head. "I'm done! I'm fucking done! I told you if this ever happened again that I would leave, and look what happened! You know I don't lie about anything, let alone this shit!" The tears started to well up in in the otter's eyes. He stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him, leaving Tig sitting on the small twin bed, alone again. Staring down at the floor the tiger swished his tail into his lap, grabbing it with his paws and squeezing it softly, holding it like it was lost love. The tears poured from his eyes, soaking the fur under them and sliding down on to his tight black t-shirt, making noticeable wet spots. Finally lying down on to his bed he stayed there for hours, his tears subsided, but the pain did not.

Waking up the next morning around 10 A.M. he slipped out of his bed and walked to the bathroom in the door, flipping on the light and wincing as he was not accustomed to the bright light just yet. He leaned down over the sink, turning on the cold water and letting it run, just watching it splash against the bottom and swirling around the drain until I dropped into the dark pipe. A few minutes passed before he placed his white paws under the water, bringing some up to his face and muzzle, rubbing it into his matted fur softly. Still sniffling, he rubbed his now cold and wet nose before looking up into the mirror, noticing his eyes were red and swollen from the night of crying. He blinked and brought his paws up to rub them softly, hoping this was all just a dream, just a terrible, terrible dream. But it wasn't, sighing he would turn and slip off his black t-shirt, tossing it to the side. He then walked the short distance from the sink to the shower basin, hitting his head on the towel rack on the door. "God...why do these fucking bathrooms have to be so small?" He grumbled and sat down on the toilet seat, leaning over the edge of the tub and turning on the faucet to hot, again, placing his paw under it to feel the water slowly warm. As it reached the temperature the cat liked he let out a soft murr before dropping his sweat pants to the ground, along with his boxers. Looking himself up and down as he did this he was mildly pleased, working out must've done something. He then pulled the curtain aside from the shower and stepped in, shivering lightly as the water rushed over his fur, dampening it quickly. He brought his paws up to his chest, rubbing it lightly as the water continued to pour over him, turning around slowly he grabbed the shampoo and poured an excessive amount out and on to the rest of his body. Stepping out of the stream he quickly lathered up every part he could reach and stepped back into the water, rinsing off every last bubble that was on his small frame. Stepping out of the shower now he grabbed a towel and walked out of the bathroom. Looking up as he walked from the room his jaw dropped, "Hey Tig..."

There was his otter, or, used to be after last night, staring at him with his packed duffel bag hung over his shoulder. "I was hoping I could get in and get everything packed while you were in there. I know how long of showers you usually take" he chuckled slightly before hanging his head. Tig sighed and walked to his empty bed and sat, his tail laid still against it as he looked up at the silky, brown furred mammal in his room "I suppose I won't be seeing you anymore will I?" Cale shook his head lightly "You will, it's not like I can skip out on my classes for the rest of the semester, I'll still see you there." The tiger mumbled under his breath "Great..." The otter nodded and turned, placing his paw on the handle of the door "So, I guess I'll see you around then? Tig then lifted his head, noticing a slight change of tone in his ex's voice "Y-yeah" Turning completely, Cale walked out of the door and shut it lightly, leaving the tiger alone, again...

This was just a pre-story that I decided to do in a couple hours, I might add to it I might not, I am looking to see some reactions of people to the story and see if my writing isn't too terrible, thanks for reading if you do.
