Life Here After { Time March } [ Prolouge to the next chapter ]
The beasts who had escaped from the lab had managed to strip the armory of its weapons and armors. Bred to use them they adapted and started to use guerilla tactics to slowly take on the human soldiers loyal to the Freedom States.. Fighting on two fronts the Freedom States called a truce with the Aeons of Humanity and both forces came down on the beasts, decimating the army while scattering the rest of the creatures in the Freedom States ranks, and those outside of their control, to the wind.
Many escaped and sought shelter in the ruined cities and forests of Russia and the surrounding lands. Those that managed to survive formed societies and learned to live in a way they weren't made for, with the help of books, technologies and other technologic advances that they picked from the ruined husks that were once cities. Over the next three years small skirmishes between the Aeons and the Freedom States would begin to pick up. The stop to their war came when the leaders of the Freedom States were assassinated by beast soldiers who had been brainwashed by Aeons of Humanity.
Without leaders the Freedom States dissolved. Uncertain what to do the remainder of the military forces surrendered to the Aeons of Humanity. Those who didn't join the ranks of the Aeons were publicly executed with the brainwashed beasts. With the Freedom States out of the way the Aeons turned their attention towards the beasts. Once again war ravaged the land.
Another year would pass before the war would come to a standstill. The beasts used the time to continue to spread throughout the territory that once belonged to the freedom states. Unable to land any sizable forces on Russian territory the Aeons resorted to sea and air attacks were they could continually pound the forces that held them back.
The beasts not involved in the war continued to populate and forge societies. In a effort to stop their growth the Aeons resorted to chemical attacks. They created a weapon that would sterilize the beasts. Once used the females who came into contact with the chemical had the possibility of becoming sterile. Male beasts on the other hand suffered greatly. Those who came into contact came down with a severe illness that often meant death.
With the death of a large percentage of the male population the societies that the beasts had made became female dominate. The few males who managed to live through the chemical attacks were valued highly. Females began to fill the ranks of the military and soon cloning became a common practice. Distinction between pure bloods, half breeds and copies were made and a caste was developed by all the beast societies that remained. Only certain females were allowed to breed with a male and that was only after the female was physically and mentally tested. If you weren't physically or mentally strong you were branded to a caste and had a high probability of never having children.
A year after the chemical attacks no human dared step on beast territory for fear of becoming sterile or dying themselves. Planning to let the beasts die with time the Aeons of Humanity watched and waited while they began to start development of technologies that were lost before the wars and might give them the ability to strike the creatures from afar.
