Chapter 4

Heart of the fallen

Rose is walking down the stairs from the quarters to the garden, its a big plan of grass and a great tree in the middle, she looks up towards the sky and thinks "Nothing of this seems real."

"Hey, Rose, are you coming?"

Rose turns her head and looks on Ralph with a smile and say.

"Im coming."

She runs after Ralph to a grand white building.

Inside the building there is a great hall decored with paintings of valor and heroes, there are three grand tables in the middle of the room, people sitts around them, talking and eating, some are singin.

She walks after Ralph, everyone starts to look at her, some of the boys start to whisper to eachother, Rose start to blush and walks after Ralph, they sit down on a bench and starts to eat.

But after 5 minutes someone yells.

"You are not welcome to enter this Holy domain soldiers, please leave."

Everyone looks to the entrance to see whats going on, four dark robed creatures are standing in the entrance and talking to the High Priest.

"We are here on strict orders, we cant leave untill our mission is completed." one of the creatures say with a mechanical voice.

"I dont care about your orders, even if they are from Ra herself."

The men draw their weapons.

"You...You...I have too see those orders."he say and look on the drawed sword with a terrifyed face.

The creature stirs at him and say.

"I shall give you my orders, Priest." he say with a smile.

Then he grabs the priest and stabbs him in the stomach with his blade. and then pull it out.

He looks on the others and then he say.

"Narkaj, seercha emke"

He say and the others pull down their hoods and the face of terror is showed, they start to point their fingers and tell them were to stand.

Untill one of them reaches Rose, he looks at her and then he yell.

"Over here, Commander."

"Hey leave her alone." Ralph say and attempts to push the crature aside.

But the creature push down Ralph on the floor and grabs Rose hand, then he drag her with him, Rose started to scream, the creature slaps Rose over the face and looks her in the eyes.

"Im gonna rip your heart if you scream one more ti..."

A bullet flies through his head and the head explode and Rose start to scream.

Then a voice scream, "This is Alpha leader, hostile is down, prepare for drop of now, I repeat Hostile is down, begin operation Fire smoke."

She turns her head and looks at the balcony and see a Lydrian soldier stand with a sniper, then she looks to the entrance and see a group of men enter, they yell "Get down, NOW!"

Everyone lies down on the floor while the group opens fire at the creatures, two people runs to Rose and say, "We have the objective secured, regroup at extraction point I repeat, regroup at extraction point."

She looks at them while they grab her arms and run out to the garden with her, she hear the creatures scream, while they fall down dead on the floor, she look at the soldier who holds her left arm and hear him say, "Control, do you copy, We regroup at Extraction point, we have her, do you copy!"

Then someone say. "Roger that Alpha 2, Delta 7 will pick you up."

She looks around, but she can't see anyone else except them, but then suddenly she hear a sound in the air.

"Look out, incoming Mortar!" a voice yells.

She looks up and see a falling mortar going straight ahead to them, the soldiers push her forward, she hit the ground with her back and she looks at the soldiers that save her.

She hears a sound and then a boom, she see how they explode when the mortar hits the ground, the blood stains all over her and she looks at the remains, she feel how the blood drip from her cheek and the wet robe, it smells iron, she wants to scream and run away to hide, but she can't, she is in a shock.

"There she is, take her!" A voice yells, she turns around and sees a group of Darkcasters runs towards her, she can't do anything, she starts to cry and bow her head.

The tears fall from her cheek, but just when they are about to kill her something happens, the Darkcaster falls dead on the ground and a man in a Lydrian commander armor run in front of her where he stops and open fire at the Darkcasters.

He kills two by a bullet through the head and one drops down on the ground, he walks towards the dropped Darkcaster and execute him with a bullet through the head, the blood stain on his armor while the head explode when the bullet hits the head.

"This is Red Pack leader, Hostile is down and objective secured, moving into next ammo drop of before Extraction." He say and walks towards Rose.

"Roger that Red Leader, coordinates are programming, stand by please."

He kneel down before Rose and deactivate his helmet, he is a black Wolfling, around 18, his hair are longer on the left side then the right and covers his red eyes, his voice is dark but warming.

"Are you alright?" He asks.

She nods and look down on his armor, the armor is black and got glowing red rig generators on the shoulders, chest, back, hands and foots, he is armed with a Laser Pulse rifle AA-61 class with laser sight and scope, none granedier and a Uner E-21 laser sight.

"Here, I help you up." He say.

Rose grabs his hand and he pull her up from the ground, then he say, "Here"

She looks down on his left hand, he's holding a Gun, she looks at with a surprised look.

"You know how to use this?" He asks.

"Yes" She say and take he gun and pull the loader back and reload it.

"Coordinates has been received now, your team will await you."

"Copy that Control, make the troops retreat, we have what we were after." He say and activate the helmet, he turn his head and look at Rose.

"I hope you be a good girl and follow now, no tricks, okay?"

She nods.

"Good, now lets move out." He say and they start to run through the destroyed garden into the chapel, The light from the sky has faded away, the monitor is destroyed, and shadows consume the lands, the darkness had awaken.
