Natalie's Story Chapter 2 Part 3 (The Recovery Factor)
"Natalie are you still awake?" Her mother asked as she entered the room "Yes im still awake mom what is it?" Natalie asked while she rubbed her would be child. Only a couple of hours ago they had been attacked by AC Corps. The vixen had proven she was pregnant by going completly feral and tearing out two of the mens' throats with her claws protecting her unborn child. "You do know what caused that state of panic you were in don't you?" Nami asked her daughter as she sat next to her injured child. "Yes mom i do." The onxy black hybrid said in a rather dreamy voice as she wondered what her child would turn out to look like and act like. The door to her bedroom burst open as Jinx walked in and sat next to Nami. "Sorry to butt into the mother daughter conversation buut Vincent wants to know if he can come back in."
"Yes he's fine they need to talk anyway." Nami said running her hand through her daughters hair the way she always did when she was comforting her. Jinx left the room to go tell the black wolf that it was ok leaving the two to continue their conversation. "Ok sweetie the child is still okay you just have to take it easy." Her mother explained releiveing her daughter from the question at the front of her mind. "Vincent wants to take you fishing down at the lake since it would be low key enough i think you should go." Her mother explained the rest of what to do till she was recovered.
"Natalie are you ok?" Vincent asked when he entered the room laying down next to her. "Yes im fine sweetie. I also have somthing to tell you." The vixen said as her voice took on a tone of love. "Sure what is it?" Vicent asked noting the sly expression on his lovers' face. "You're going to be a father." The girl said as she nibbled his ear. the expression of suspision took on one of love at knowing what he had accomplished. "Really now? Guess the child will be beautiful just like it's mother." Her lover teased as he pulled her into a long passionate kiss. The white wolf looked at her watch "If you two are going fishing you better get moving ill come with you to point out the good spots." "Thanks mom." Natalie said after pulling away from her lover.
By the time they had walked from the entrance room everybody was with them holding a fishing pole and some drinks. "So much for a romantic fishing trip." She giggled into Vincents' ear. Vincent smiled. "It's a good bonding trip atleast." He chuckled as he nibbled her ear. Natalie always loved the way he treated her. It just never got old no matter how much he did it. "Here we are!" Nami said in pride at the land she had grown up in. and by lake she really meant it.
"Wow!" They all exclaimed at the sheer size of it. it was all theirs to fish from. no one to take their fish. Natalie was the first to be able to talk. "Whats in here?" The vixen said in awe. "Crappie, Flathead, Blue, and Channel Catfish, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, And about everything else. Except Gar!" Nami finished with finality. "Good i hate Gar." Vincent said as he opened his newly bought tacklebox and all the new gear with it. "Natalie sweetie come with me. we need bait." Her mother said grabbing a net and walking towards a pipe that ran from the nearby river. "What do yo- Holy Shit!" The vixen said in suprise at seeing all the minnows flitting in the water. "Fill the bucket about halfway then hand it over." Nami said as she untangled the net.
After they filled the bucket of water with minnows they carried it back and plopped it down next to the fishing gear. "Here we go the fish in here are gigantic so always keep a good hold on your rod." The wolf said as she hooked a minnow through the eyes and cast. "Why hook them like that?" Jinx asked in horror. "The minnow lasts longer and gets more bites." Nami said matter-of-factly as her bobber began to bounce in the water. "Oh take it you bastard..." Nami said waiting for the right moment. Suddenly the line went taut as the bobber went under. The always so calm wolf went into a fit of joy as she hooked the fish. "Bitch you're mine!" she mumbled in apparent joy as she reeled it towards the bank.
"Lucky!" Vincent said jealously as he cast out wanting a fish that would put up a good fight. they all followed the two examples and set about doing likewise. "Natalie set up the stringer and fish basket." Jason said handing her the two things as he himself cast out. "Yes all-mighty." The onxy black hybrid said as she staked the two to the ground. Natalie sat down next to her lover after she had finished and cast out. "Are we fishing for dinner?" She asked in hope. "Yep." Nami said as she pulled the large fish out of the water. "It seems i have a knack for Rainbow Trout right here." She said with a smirk as she put it onto the stringer.
They spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying one anothers company. Every one of them had caught atleast two fish and not a single one they caught was under three pounds. That night they fried the fish and ate heartily knowing that the life they had here was one of joy and doing whatever they felt like not having to go to work or anything else. this was their heaven.
