As Joel woke up he rubbed Rena's stomach before taking a shower and dressing. He watched Rena sleep soundly before making breakfast and eating leaving Rena's breakfast at the head of his bed on top of the file cabinet he had set there. Suddenly he grabbed his katana and moved outside practicing his stances and attacks. As he practiced a Myotismon appeared. Joel ignored it until he started heading for Rena. He seemingly disappeared and reappeared in front of the Myotismon his katana drawn and in a perfect defensive stance.

"Where do you think you're going?" Joel demanded of the Myotismon. The Myotismon frowned, how dare this bag of flesh and bones impede him in destroying that Renamon he thought. The Myotismon didn't even seem to realize how bad his situation was until he felt the katana at his neck. How did this waste of flesh and bones do that he just couldn't understand how this human was so fast.

"Answer me or I will destroy you." Joel answered as he pressed the blade of his katana into the Myotismon's neck. As the Myotismon summoned up energy for one of his attacks Joel reared back, side stepped and jumped up pressing the button on his katana forcing it to change into a zanbato and brang it down in a motion to cleave the Myotismon in half. The Myotismon shifted and Joel's blade dug into the ground, Joel brought the blade back up as the Myotismon attacked, the blade blocking its attack before Joel disappeared bringing his blade into the back of the Myotismon stopping it from moving. Joel jumped back brought the blade to bear and jumped.

As Joel came down he cried out "Iron Paw Death Strike." As the blade flashed through the Myotismon and creating a hole where the blade impacted on the ground. As the Myotismon started to disappear Joel captured his code in his D-arc. He pressed the button on his zanbato to make it revert back into the katana and sheathed it as he walked back inside.

Joel grabbed the device to hold Digimon code and transferred the code over to it from his D-arc. He checked on Rena and watched her wake and ate the meal he had prepared for her. "Have a nice sleep dear?" Rena blushed as she looked around and finally noticed him with sheen of sweat on his skin.

"Joel why are you sweating did you just practice?" she asked watching his body language and hoping that was the answer. But she slowly understood from his body language that there had been a battle, or one very heavy training workout. Joel grabbed a towel and wiped off the sweat as he changed clothes.

"A Myotismon decided to come by." He answered Rena, while watching her. Rena grabbed him and checked him over before kissing and hugging him. Rena wondered how in the world could he defeat an ultimate level Digimon just by himself before she noticed his eyes they had changed, She tested his vision by moving fast and slow his eyes always tracking her movements almost like a foxes. She noticed the katana by his side and saw it had changed as well, it now had a button on the handle and it was now black.

"Joel what happened to the sword, and how did you defeat an ultimate level Digimon?" Rena asked rubbing her belly and watching for any clues from his body. Rena slowly purred as Joel rubbed her belly and kissed her.

"I defeated him with a technique I just made, it worked flawlessly and has a hell of a punch if you need proof look out the window. And the katana can also turn into a zanbato now by pushing that button." He said as Rena looked out the window, catching sight of the hole in the ground. The would be hole looked more like a crater from a small comet. Rena was amazed what else could her mate do she wondered.

"Ready to see what drifting is dear?" Joel asked as he gently pushed her out of the room, he gathered the plate and put it in the sink and rinsed it as she groomed herself. Rena nodded as he walked over to her and kissed her before going out to the car, Rena followed him out and got into the passenger side and buckled up as he checked over the car. Joel climbed into the drivers seat and turned on the car, he pulled out the computer and selected the normal driving profile before pulling out of the parking space and driving up to the gate. Joel drove out to a big abandoned lot with lots of space before turning to the computer and selecting the drifting profile.

Joel turned to Rena. "Hold onto something." He said before smiling. He gunned the engine racing through the gears before pulling the e-brake shifting down and turning into the corner, they felt the back of the car sliding before Joel slammed the e-brake down and hit the gas pulling out of the corner he gunned the engine shifting up again before coming up on another corner he pulled the e-brake and shifted down while sliding through the turn and hit the gas as he pulled out of the corner. As they pulled out of the drift they saw a 90° turn, Joel smiled as he pulled the e-brake and feinted shifting the weight into the turn and released the e-brake racing the engine, as they slid through the turn a small smile appeared on Rena's face. Joel hit the brakes and pulled out onto the street heading for someplace to eat.

"That was drifting Rena. And now where going to eat." He replied to her curious look. As Joel pulled into the restaurant he saw the two cars he wanted most not to see right now. As Joel and Rena walked in the two people he didn't want to speak to catch sight of him. As Joel and Rena were shown to their seats, the two people he didn't want to talk to came over.

"Well look who it is, its Joel and a Renamon. So whom did you pay to let you borrow their Renamon?" The female asked. While the male looked at him almost smiling at the way his girlfriend was about to humiliate Joel.

Joel looked over to her. "No one Tamalyn, so wipe that god damn smirk of you're face Bitch." He spat before grabbing his D-arc.

The Man now pissed off beyond belief tried punching him only to find air and an empty chair before feeling fingers jab into him as he collapsed. Rena stood up preparing to attack while showing her belly off, telling everyone she was pregnant.

"So Kevin how does it fell to know you're no longer superior to me. And you, Tamalyn how does it feel to know his live is in my hands as well as you cant do anything to save him." Joel spat while pointing at her. He watched Rena carefully as he kept his foot on Kevin's back.

"You're not Joel, he would never be able to do this." Tamalyn screeched as she watched Joel grind his foot into Kevin's back

"Wrong Bitch, you hurt me and take up with him. So what makes you think I wouldn't be able to do this, you never saw me in a fight, you never saw me when I was mad, so shut the fuck up Bitch!" He roared as ground his foot into Kevin's back. He watched as Rena realize what he was talking about.

Joel relaxed his foot and moved it off his now new enemy. "Take you're fuck toy and yourself and get the hell out of my sight bitch! I came here to eat and be with my mate. So get out!" He roared as he sat Rena back down rubbing her shoulders as there food was served, the waiter watching Joel cautiously. The people around them erupted in applause all of them knowing what Tamalyn had done to Joel, All of them were caring thoughts something along the lines of, he's moved on, and So he finally told her and him off good for him.

As Joel and Rena ate they looked back at the day and couldn't help but smile. Joel had faced his fears and even publicly admitted Rena was his mate. Rena couldn't be happier then at that moment, she rubbed her growing belly as she smiled to herself. Joel couldn't help but wonder why they had to show up at that time.

As they got into the car, the restaurant owner yelled out to them to come back at any time and that they were always welcome here. Rena and Joel smiled at that declaration and waved to the owner as they drove off. Joel watched the traffic before pulling up to a stoplight just before the ramp leading to home he looked over and smiled, Kevin was sitting there in his CRX and wanted to race. Joel smirked as he revved the engine; Kevin smirked as he thought the race would be easy. Joel smiled toggling a few switches and setting the profile on the computer to drag. As soon as the light turned green they launched their cars the CRX starting to pull ahead before the sound of a LS6 engine with a turbo greeted anyone who was watching ears as the Rx-7 pulled ahead and took off like a bat out of hell. Joel smiled as he flipped his running lights on and raced down the highway heading towards and emergence.

After the Digimon was beaten and captured the two lovers finally returned home. As Rena and Joel climbed into bed they smiled and kissed each other. Rena pulled Joel in close to her and fell asleep. Joel held Rena close and rubbed her back as he smiled letting sleep claim him as well.
