The Costume: PART I [needs editing]
Kira may have looked like a regular 18 year old, but he was anything but. He didn't like to communicate with other people but he did enjoy going to parties and was quite popular. He graduated from college at the age of 17 and he was currently living alone, his parents died when he was 13 but he was smart enough and was able to live without going to an orphanage because his parents left him enough money to buy an apartment of his own after their death and he did. He worked at a store in town that sold various video games and video game accessories. He is about 5 feet and 9 inches tall and is quite thin. His hair is black and was quite long; it sometimes went in front of his sapphire blue eyes. He practiced multiple different types of Martial Arts in his spare time, which wasn't a lot anymore it was getting close to Christmas and he had to work extra hours because of it. Every one of his friends knew he liked Pokemon but they didn't care much. He had a strange attachment to the wind, he loved the freedom it had and wished to have that kind of freedom someday. Kira was lying down on his bed playing Pokemon Diamond on Wifi trying to find someone strong enough to battle him, it was hard he usually gave everyone he played against an advantage by letting them use 6 Pokemon, while he only used his Lucario but he always won anyways. While he was looking for someone to battle his cellphone rang, he went and picked it up to answer. "Hello?" he said. "Hey Kira, we are having a costume party next Sunday are you in?" It was his friend Greg. "You know I am Greg, I just need to find a costume first." Kira replied to his friend. "Cool, I'll see you there then, maybe you will finally find a girlfriend." His friend said excited. "Wait, you know I don't want to have girlfriend right now!" Kira yelled, but it was too late Greg already hanged up. "Well, I need to find a costume might as well get started." He said to himself. He opened the phone book and found an ad for a costume shop. The ad said "The Second Identity, the best thing to being born in the form is being in one of our costumes!" "It is just across the street from my work I'll go there now and go to work after." Kira said to himself. Kira walked down to the parking lot and got in his car and started it up. He drove to work. He parked close to his job and walked the rest of the way. When he got to his work he crossed the street and looked at the building it looked old, the only thing he could see that showed him that it was the right place was the sign in the window saying "The Second Identity". When he got in he was amazed by the costumes the he could see. "Oh a customer, how can I help you?" It was an old man; Kira thought it must be the owner. "Yes please, I'm looking for a costume for a party." Kira replied. "Look around, if you don't see anything you want you can make a special order if you want." The old man said with a grin on his face. Kira started looking through the selection of costumes, they felt so real but he was having trouble finding a costume he liked. Kira turned around and asked the old man "Could you make me a Lucario costume but instead of the regular colour fur a Lucario has could the fur be white instead, please?" "Of course I can, if I start now, I could finish it by next Saturday at noon, you can pick it up anytime after that" the old man said. "Thank you, ahhhh... sorry I don't even know you name" Kira said a little embarrassed. "It is Drethan" Drethan replied with a smile on his face. "Okay, thanks Drethan, I'll come back then." Kira said with a big smile on his face. Kira ran out the door. "Another person for one of my experiments" Drethan said with a grin. It was next Saturday and Kira just got out of his car to go get his costume. "Good thing I don't have work today" He said to himself with a large smile on his face. He walked inside the store. "Ahhhh the young man that ordered the White Lucario costume, it is in the back wait here and I'll go get it" Drethan said as he walked into the back room. Drethan came back with the costume in hand, Kira looked it over it was incredible. Kira handed Drethan, his credit card. "If I ever need another costume, I should come back here" Kira said with a big smile on his face. Drethan folded up the costume and put it in a box. He handed the box to Kira with his credit card. Kira ran out the door again in excitement. "Too bad no one that ever bought one of my special costumes ever needed a new costume" Drethan said with a sigh. Kira got in his car and put the box containing the costume on the seat next to him. Inside the box, the costume was taking in everything around it especially Kira and his wish. The costume knew that Kira wanted to be able to be a Lucario and that he wanted to see what Lucarios could see. He also wanted to be able to be closer to the wind and nature. When Kira got to the parking lot to where his apartment was he immediately picked up the box containing the costume and got out of his car. When he got into his apartment he went straight to his bedroom and got undressed except for his shorts. He toke the costume out of the box and looked it over, it was completely white except for the spikes in the chest and hands which were silver, the mask around the eye holes was still black like a regular Lucario's was, he felt the tail it was stuffed with something that he thought must have been cotton, the fur on the costume felt like it was real fur. For a moment he wondered how it would fit, the costume looked around 4 feet tall like a regular Lucario was. "Well I don't know if it will fit until I try it on" Kira said to himself trying to find a seam. After a minute or two he found the seam on the back of the costume, he unzipped the costume and stuck his left leg in the costume, the inside felt soft like the outside was, but the legging felt loose on his leg. He then stuck his other leg in the costume, it felt loose as well. Just then Kira could feel the costume getting tighter on his legs. He didn't understand what was happening to him, he was starting to get frightened. "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you." An unknown voice told him. Kira looked around franticly trying to find the source of the voice. "Who are you?" Kira said starting to get really scared. "I'm your costume." The voice echoed, it sounded like a male voice but with a hint of kindness in it. "You're my costume but how is this possible?" He said still afraid. "I was made to change you into the form you wished for, this wouldn't be possible if you didn't want it" The costume replied. Kira was starting to calm down now, "You are making me into the form I wished for?" "Let us continue talking after this is over, it may hurt a bit though" The costume replied. Just then Kira could feel the floor under his feet, he had paws now. The costume began to travel up Kira's back it was starting to engulf him. The costume was now all over his body, he was having trouble breathing. The costume formed around him, and then he could feel his face changing to fit the costume's mask. His mouth and nose fused and started to grow into his new muzzle, he gasped for air, and he could breathe again. Then he could feel something growing in his mouth it was his new canine like fangs. His ears then traveled up to the top of his head and then started to grow longer and more pointed like. His eyes started to change colour from their regular sapphire blue colour, he went over to the mirror, his eyes were coloured ruby red now. This mask of the costume was now his head. His body began to burn the body of the costume began melting onto his; in a few seconds the burning stopped the body of the costume was now his. He could feel the costume's arms melting onto his now, he didn't like the sensation but he knew he couldn't stop it either. His fingers merged into 3 fingers and he now had paws. He felt all over his body just to make sure it wasn't a dream. He then felt a growing pain in his tailbone, it was growing into his new tail, and it stopped at about 2 feet. "Is it over now?" Kira thought. "Not yet" The costume replied. Jus then Kira could see himself shrinking in the mirror in front of him; he was now about 4 feet tall, the same size as a Lucario. He then felt a pushing feeling in his mind; it was his new Lucario instincts. "Now it is over" The costume said. Kira looked around the room; everything was much more vibrant now. His new body felt completely natural to him, like he had been a Lucario his whole life. He went over to his window and looked out it. Every person he seen was glowing. "Why is everyone glowing?" He asked the costume. "That's their aura, every living being has one, depending on the colour of the aura, it determines whether they are good or bad, a blue aura means they are good, while a red aura means they are bad." The costume replied. "I really am a Lucario" Kira said jumping for joy. He opened his window and stood on the ledge. He could feel a lot more sensations than before. He jumped straight up and grabbed onto the ledge of the roof. He pulled himself up onto the roof with a single motion. Kira looked around in awe. It was a beautiful view of the city. Kira started jumping from roof to roof looking at the people below. He landed on a roof and decided to rest for a bit. "Liking your new body I see." Kira looked up; it was Drethan the old man that sold him the costume. He could see no aura coming from him. Kira tried to talk but found out he couldn't. "Oh, I guess you can't talk don't worry just try to use your mind to speak instead." Drethan told him. "Why do this?" Kira said using his mind. "It is for research" Drethan replied. "What kind of research?" Kira asked. "I am researching the power of wishes and desires, your wish to become a Lucario was strong enough for me to use for some of my research so I made you one of my special costumes" Drethan replied with a smirk on his face. "What exactly are you anyway?" He asked. "I'm a wizard." Drethan replied. "It is your turn to answer my question, do you like your new body?" "Yes, but why didn't you ask me if I wanted to do this." Kira asked surprised by the old man's answer to his last question. "Would you, have believed me if, I told you?" Drethan said. "I guess I wouldn't of." Kira answered puzzled by the turn of events. "That is exactly why I didn't tell you." Drethan said with a hint of anger in his voice. "I have to go now, enjoy your new body." "Wait, will I ever be able to take this costume off?" Kira asked. "Yes, when the costume decides to let you go, but you don't have to if you don't want to" Drethan answered then disappeared, as it started snowing. "Do you really want to take me off, Kira?" The costume asked, sounding startled at what Kira said. "I don't know, I want to be a Lucario but I'm not sure if I want to leave my human life behind yet." Kira replied, uncertain of what to do. "Would you like to know what it is like when you are not wearing me then, to help you decide?" the Costume said, sounding kind of depressed. "What do you mean?" He replied, curious about what the costume meant. "I mean, what it is like when I don't have the energy to live" The costume answered. "Sure, if it will help me decide easier, I'm up for it" Kira said knowing it would be best to listen to what his costume had to say. "Okay, well first, I don't have any feelings and it doesn't feel like I am alive when you don't have me on." The costume paused for second to let Kira absorb all this. "This world is just too beautiful not to live in, don't you think, Kira?" "Yes, I completely agree, but I have friends what will they think if I suddenly disappear?" Kira replied. "I am not sure about that, but maybe Drethan will make it like you never actually existed." The costume said with a dramatic pause. "I don't know how he makes it so no one makes a big panic over when someone disappears." "Okay, I will it over more carefully now, I'll let you know tomorrow morning, let's get going I need to test this body out some more." Kira said with a toothy grin on his face. He ran and jumped to another roof. A few hours passed, and Kira was getting bored of just jumping from roof to roof. "Well, what do you want to do now, Kira?" The costume asked. Kira looked at the sky it was almost sundown, "Let's go home and get some rest" "Do we have to let's go somewhere else please." The costume said, almost begging. "Okay, I guess we will find somewhere else to sleep tonight." Kira replied with a sigh. "Yippee, let's go to the forests in the mountains then!" The Costume said, very happy with what Kira said. "How are we going to get there, that is pretty far away" Kira said surprised with where the Costume wanted to go. "With your old body yes, but with this body it should only take around an hour or two." The Costume replied. Just then, the Costume toke control of his body and started running towards the mountains northeast of the city. "What are you doing?" Kira asked, with surprise at what just happened. He didn't get an answer the costume was silent. After awhile of running Kira was at the mountains, he could finally control his movements again. He looked around in awe from the top of the mountains it was a breath taking sight to see, even more so with his new eyes. "Wow, the view is beautiful from here, but what just happened?" Kira said in awe, to the Costume. "I should have mentioned I could control your movements, sorry about that" The Costume replied. "That would have been a good thing to mention at the start you know." Kira said, sounding very irritated. "Yes, I'm sorry I should have done that." The costume replied, sounding sorry for his actions. "It's ok, as long as you start warning me when you do that." Kira replied, with a hint of kindness in his mental voice. "Thanks, I should also tell you I can read your mind then." The costume said, relieved. "There is such thing as privacy but whatever; I don't really care right now." Kira said. Just then their stomach growled with hunger. "I guess we are getting hungry." Kira said holding his stomach with his paws. "Yes, it would appear so." The costume replied. "What do Lucarios eat anyway?" Kira said curiously. "Let me take control and we will find out." The costume said calmly. With that the costume toke control of his body again and jumped straight down into the forest below. They looked around trying to find something that appeals to them both, but to no success in the surrounding area. They started to run straight looking around for something to eat. They stopped in front of a lake; they could see dim auras coming off each of the fish in the water. "Well, I guess this will have to do, Kira." The costume said still in control. "I guess so" Kira replied. With wolf-like instincts they crept close to the water and with a single swift movement they jumped forward and grabbed a fish and each of their paws. "I guess we are going to have to eat these raw." Kira sighed. "I guess so, but we may like it you never know." The costume replied. "I don't like sushi which is raw fish, so what makes you so sure I will" He said, irritated. "That was your old body remember this one may have different tastes in food." The costume replied, starting to get nervous that he may become just a costume again. "Why are you nervous about becoming just a costume again, you are right I may like it in this body." Kira replied trying to comfort the costume. "How did you know what I was thinking?" The costume said startled. "We share the same mind now; there are no secrets between us." Kira answered. "I guess your right." The costume said. "WELL THEN LET'S EAT!" Kira said, loudly with his mental voice. He figured out that he could control the volume of his voice. They started to dig into the fish. After about ten minutes they were done eating. "Good fish, I guess I do like raw fish now." Kira said, satisfied. He now had control of his body again, he lay down on the ground and looked straight up at the stars above, and it was breath taking with his enhanced vision. "The stars are beautiful aren't they?" It was the costume. "Yes, they are." Kira replied. "We should find a place to rest for the night it's getting late." He added, starting to get up. "Yes, we really should find a place to sleep for the night." The costume said enjoying the moment since Kira's mind was as far away from becoming human again as possible at the moment. "So, do you want to look or should I?" Kira asked. "I think you should it's your turn to find someplace to sleep, I found a place to get food." The costume replied. "Okay then, let's get going then." Kira declared, as he started to run to the mountains hoping to find a cave. It didn't take much time to find a cave to sleep in; it was easy to see in the darkness of the night with his new eyes. "Will this cave do?" Kira asked his costume. "Yes it will, we really shouldn't be picky right now, it's getting late and we should get some sleep." The costume replied. As they walked into the cave, it was spacious and wasn't very damp either, an excellent place to stay the night or spend the rest of their life in if Kira decided to stay a Lucario. They yawned, then found a wall at the far end of the cave and fell fast asleep. When they woke up the sun has risen but it was close to it, Kira walked over to the cave's edge and watched the sunrise, it was breath taking to say the least. "Well I've decided on what I'm going to do." Kira said mentally. "What's that then?" The costume said still kind of drowsy. "Today, I'm going to back to the city for some supplies and then I'm coming back here to start my new life as a Lucario." Kira stated, sounding happy. "That's great news, Kira!" The costume said, excited that he wouldn't be token off ever again. Kira got up and jumped straight up the mountain and began running straight towards the city, his new life, just around the corner.
Kira went ontop of the mountain and his eyes widend "wow what a veaw". "Yes Kira it is vary pritty." The costume said in a happy tone. "Well theres the city" Kira said looking down at the city below. "Well lets start this new life" said the costume in a calm voice. A hour passed and then they made it back to the apartment and it was dark. "so hears your home" the costume said tired. "we need rest" "agreed" said Kira tired. then then made it to the therd floor and Kira stoped. "what was that?" Kira said as he passed by one of the rooms. "i dont know try to see what it is then Kira looked in and saw a man in a tux and fedora. "oh no" said the costume as he looks at the man. "is aura is red" said Kira as he sees the man turn away from them showing his back to them. the costume looked at him closely and he pased for a second. "i know who he is and knows what he works for" said the costume in a smart voice. "what dose he work for?" said Kira wondering what the mans doing. "i think he works for the mafia" said the costume in a suspishise voice. then Kira felt his Lucario instinks kick in "hes robing the plase and i think we are going to stop him" said Kira with a angry voice.
then Kira opened the door silently and sudnly looked at the man with there backs still turned to them. "you know you can wall cling" said the costume in a quiet voice so they dont get notest. then Kira sudnly took out his new claws and jumped to the wall and he wall clinged. then the man turns around but dosnt see them over his head. the man sruged and continues filling the bag in his hand with mouny. "that thend ok Kira im not usly vilont but this calls for it" the costume said in a angry tone. then Kira let go of the wall and tackels he man. the man fell to the ground "ohh what was that" the man said as he rubs his head. then he turned his head and saw a Lucario there with his claws out and he started crawling back. "i think you scared him but good job" said the costume in a proud tone "thanks" said Kira and he starts walking to the man. "who do you work for!" said Kira walking to the man. "whats it to you creep" said the man with an italian acsent. Kira grabed the mans hand "tell me now!" said Kira rising the man off the ground. "you are stronger to i forgot to tell you that also" the costume added to Kira. then the man yelped "ok, ok i will tell you i work for the mafia." then the man pulls out a gun but Kira grabed the gun and distroyed it "you are not geting away like that." Kira said with is teeth baring. then he drops him and wall clings then he sees the cops come and sees the man "oh crap copers" said the man as they put cuffs on him. "your spending a long time in jail" said one of the officers. "good job" the costume added in a happy voice. then he gets off the wall and the cops leave with the man from the mafia. "bye creep" Kira said happy.
they leave the room and then Kira stops and sees another Lucario but his fur was black where the blue is and red where the gray is. "hey he has the same Lucario costume but a different color." then the Lucario turns around and looks at Kira. "well, well, well small world" said the Lucario in a dark voice. Kira jumped back in suprize "what tipe of Lucario are you?" asked Kira at the misterios Lucario. "I am a Dark Lucario i say that mafia guy infact there was two men i got rid of the first one." "he is a dark i can sence it" the costume added with a woryed tone. the Dark Lucario contunues its way down the hall. "wait i didnt get your name" "my name is Brian." Brian said with a sturn look in his eye "whats the problum?" said Kira. "its nothing i jest need rest ok". then Brians costume speacks but its a female voice "ok dark lets get moving" said Brians costume and then he leaves and closes the door to his room "huh well we will get him tomorow when hes not tired that Dark one" "i dont know i say a mix of blue and red in his aura" Kira added to the costume "ya thats dark aura you cant realy see his true one because dark aura blocks it" the costume added.
