4 months after an incident on a nuclear power plant, the world was still in shock. Not so much because an accident had happened at a nuclear power plant, where you'd think security is sky high. Not so much because it was a child that was the cause and victim of the accident. No, it was because this certain child didn't die from it...
Sebastian woke up in the hospital bed feeling perfect. 'I must be dreaming cuz' I'm blue!' he thought, laughing a little at his weird dream. He looked around in the clinical white room. So sterile, so clean, so boring. The bed made a squeeky sound as he sat up, trying to reach the nursing alarm. No luck. 'I guess this bed wasn't made for small folks.' He stood up realising he was wearing one of those tacky hospital gowns. White with small green dots that started playing with your head if you looked too long. He stood on the bed and could now reach the button at ease. Not five seconds went before a blond canine crashed through the door.
"Oh my god, you're awake!" she sounded like she was having a stroke, but then she put her head out the door and screamed in the hallway. A few minutes later the once big empty patient room now seemed too small because of all the doctors and nurses in there.
"Ho-how do you feel, young man?" a friendly looking doctor asked.
"Good. I think?" Sebastian answered doubtfully.
'With all these doctors around, there have to be something very wrong with me.' he thought over and over.
"Sebastian!" a voice yelled from the door behind all the doctors. The owner of the female voice pushed herself through the crowd.
"I can't believe you're awake!" It was his mother. At least he was quite sure, but the little time he'd ever spend with his parents made it difficult to recognize them every time. He was sure, though. His mother gave him a tight hug which he returned heartfully. Being here freaked Sebastian out a lot. He hated to be sick. His mother was a beautiful husky with dark grey hair and stunning green eyes. Sebastian was a snow leopard like his father, but he had his mother's green eyes.
Sebastians dad was standing right behind his mother. Being so calm of nature it was understandable that he hadn't screamed the same way his mother had. He gave a big smile to Sebastian when their eyes met and soon they hugged as well.
All the doctors had left the room by now, except one; Doctor J. Pharnecol who appeared to be the doctor in charge of Sebastian. The dear doctor was an owl with extremely large glasses with the same thickness glass as aquarium tanks had. He cleared his throat before interrupting the family reunion.
"Hmm hmm, I'm sorry to interrupt you, Mr. Traveille, but I have to ask your son some medical questions." he said as polite as possible.
"Of course, Doctor Pharnecol." his father said and took a few steps back.
"Sooo, Sebastian, do you remember anything at all from the accident?"
It took Sebastian a great while to answer this question. Memories flashed before his eyes. The boring turtle, the husky Jeff, the staircase and... he gasped, trying be breathe, but the thought of drowning in the water next to the piercing blue uranium rods was unbearable. The doctor looked a bit shocked from Sebastians sudden breathing problems. He fetched the oxygen mask, but Sebastian seemed to cope before he could put it on him.
"I was in the water. Drowning." He said slowly. "Yes, you were. You were actually in that water for 44 minutes, before they could get you up from there."
"44 minutes!?" Sebastian said surprised. "Why was I down there so long? Why am I alive?"
"They had to get cranes so that they could remove the staircase and get you up." the doctor said, but then hesitated
"But we do not now how you survived. You were dead when you came up, but the brain activity was more than fine. So we restarted your heart with a defibrillator, which by the way fried the defibrillator, but since then you've been fine. No life support at all, but you have been in a coma for 4 months now."
Sebastian seemed to struggle to understand it all.
"4 months?" he then responded slowly with a dead look in his eyes. 'But 4 months. That's a really long time.' he thought whilst trying to swallow the big lump in his throat.
"I'm afraid that's not even the weirdest part, Sebastian..." The doctor looked at his parents that nodded to the doctor.
"When we got you to the hospital, your fur had changed color to blue and... you were emitting small blue sparks from your hands and sometimes even your whole body!" The doctor said with a puzzled look in his eyes, looking at Sebastian as if he might know more.
"Sparks? Like thunder?" Sebastian was beginning to think this might be a dream after all.
Or maybe someone was playing a prank on him. He started rubbing the blue fur on his left arm. It sure didn't look fake and his parents was definitely too busy to play a stupid prank on him.
"The doctors don't know if anything is wrong with you, Sebastian, but they said that in spite of your color and your unexplainable sparks, you should be able to go back to school as soon as you feel good again." his mother said with a comforting voice.
Sebastian looked up on her with a smile.
"I feel perfect, actually. It's weird, but I think I'd like to go back to school tomorrow." he said, trying to sound as normal as he could, but ended up overdoing it and sounded a bit stupid. His parents looked at each other and smiled, then looked at Doctor Pharnecol.
"I guess if he feels fine, there should be no problem. But I would like to run a few more tests and then of course he needs to come by once every week to have new tests run."
After the few tests they drove home together. Sebastian couldn't remember the last time they'd all been together like this. It was nice, but he knew it wouldn't stay like this forever. He was fine with it, but he still enjoyed this rare momemt.
During dinner his mother started sounding like a real worried mother.
"Sebastian, if you feel just the slightest discomfort at school, I want you to call me immedaitely!"
It came as a big shock for Sebastian, but also for his father. They looked at each other and then grinned.
"Of course, mom!" Sebastian said smiling to her.
Sebastian went to bed shortly after dinner because he was feeling kind of sleepy. 'So weird! 4 months of sleep and I can't even stay up till 11 p.m.' he thought laughing a little.
As he went to brush his teeth he noticed his blue fur. 'I wonder what the others are gonna say to this. They probably already know.' He took of his shirt and trousers and checked out his body. He didn't seem to
have lost muscle in those 4 months, actually he think he might have gained a little. 'Weird.' He pulled down his boxers and examined his blue sheath. He saw the pink tip stick out and was relieved to see his cock wasn't blue. As he went further down, he nearly got toothpaste in his nose when he started laughing. 'HAHAHA! Blue balls! I think those nurses have treated them badly!' He pulled ud his boxers, spit and drank some water before heading into bed.
"Ahh, you're so funny, Sebastian" he said to himself before he turned of the light and fell asleep with his soft blue tail in his hands.
This was episode two. It should have involved his first day of school, but it got a bit long, so that will have to wait till episode three :) The next chapter should be arriving within the next couple of days, and will invovle the awaited x-furs ^__^ Stay tuned!
