Hey to everyone out there look I know you all wanted another Lady of Luck but I am having a writers block on that series so I am doing this story. This is set in early Egypt just after the Shepherd King invasion.

Egypt's Blood

It had been two years since the Shepherd Kings had invaded Egypt and for all the Egyptian people it was hell, the Shepherd Kings had attacked using weaponry never before seen. The chariot, their most effective weapon on war had been devastating on the army. The people were in despair soon after the first attack the pharaoh had ridden out with his best men to chase off this invader thinking that the gods favoured him that day but it was not so.

An archer of the foul Shepherd King army, which also used bows never seen they had twice the range and power of our armies bows, had killed the pharaoh and the army had collapsed. On that day this very Egypt was doomed.

Thankfully the Gods now smile upon this very Egypt again they have granted us a new hope in the form of the son of Anubis, for all those here know that if we fail Egypt shall fall into an age of darkness such that has never been seen before.

"So for all those who are not willing to sacrifice themselves leave now and never return for if you do know that it shall be your death"

The blind man turned to face all those gathered in the temple of Anubis his eyes seem to bore into them, two of those gathered turned to leave and as they did two knives were sent tumbling through the air to slam into the back of their necks killing them instantly.

The killer was the old man, these words and this knowledge that you take this day will be your life and ours for if one of us is captured then we are all dead and so is the hope of Egypt. May the Gods bless us; the man moved aside and behind him stood a horse clad in the armour of the royal guard holding a small jackal child. It was a strange child rather than the grey of the usually jackal coat, its coat was pure white.

This is the hope of Egypt.

"Talmos for Sekhment's sake keep your hands bloody well still" shouted Medern at the teenage jackal.

"They are still" Talmos yelled in reply.

"Then fire and see where your arrow goes swine for brains" Medern said irritably .

Talmos loosed his arrow at the target and hit it in the outer ring "I told you" Medern scolded "You need to still your hands"

"Fine, Fine are we done with this I think you have proven I can't fire the Shepherd King bows" Talmos said

"We are done with these for today" Medern said offhandedly putting his bow down almost reverentially "Let's see how your swordplay is"

"You'll regret this" Talmos said eagerly pulling out his training swords "I have beaten you for years"

"Well let's just see if I can't change that" Medern laughed drawing his training sword.

The three blades clanged together in the training field, Talmos wielding his two short swords against Medern's long sword. To the idle observer they were equally matched to an expert Talmos had it all over Medern.

"You need to learn some new tricks old friend" Talmos said as he effortlessly block Medern's attack, Talmos knew every attack Medern would make and therefore any move a trained enemy would make.

Talmos was an excellent swordsman but he was also trained in diplomacy, tactics, strategy, the languages of the world, things taught to the royalty. His training in swordsmanship was from a book of warfare written by the armsmaster of the Egyptian army so if you had read the book you could tell what blow was going to come and how to win against a far superior enemy.

Which was what Talmos was doing, he knew the book back to front as did Medern but unlike Medern he changed his fighting style constantly from Egyptian to Hykyos (Shepherd King) to Assyrian to Syrian and more he was trained in the fighting styles of the civilized world which was primarily Egypt until the Shepherd Kings came.

Medern swung an overhead blow which turned out to be a majorly bad idea, Talmos crossed his blades over his head caught the sword and wrenched it out of Medern's grasp.

"You, my friend are dead" Talmos laughed putting his swords away.

"Good work my pupil" said the blind man coming into the training yard "Though the display makes me doubt the usefulness of having Medern as a bodyguard"

"Like you could see what happened old fool" Medern said jokingly.

"Let me guess you swung and overhead blow and he wrenched your sword out your grasp close to accurate" the old man replied

"Somehow I don't think I ever want to know how you can tell that kind of crap" Medern said with a shudder, the old man was blind but not naturally he had his eyes put out by the Shepherd Kings because he dared to plot rebellion.

"The God Thoth chose to bless me" the old man said simply.

"You say that every time and it doesn't make it true" Medern replied

The old man laughed "Well our day shall come soon enough and you'll see"

"Will you?" Medern asked slyly.

"Any time you feel like trying me out in training just ask" the old man said dangerously.

"I don't think so" Medern said slowly.

"Last time I royally trounced him" the old man boasted.

"And I'll be damned if I know how he did it" Medern complained.

"I would paid to have seen that" Talmos laughed.

"There is a lesson there Talmos no matter how vulnerable your enemy seems, he could still be extraordinarily lethal" the old man said

"He is right, the Syrian Mercenaries will often play dead and then spring up and create an almighty slaughter" Medern agreed

"Why don't we ally ourselves with?" Talmos asked

"They are a vassal nation but they refuse to help us" the old man said as if it explained everything.

"Why don't we just say we will treat you as an equal nation if you help us" Talmos continued "It makes sense"

"But they are inferior" the old man said

"But they are not conquered as we are so therefore we are inferior until we can strike back" Talmos said adamantly.

"He has point" Medern said "But if we do..."

"Look the reason we lost is because they have better weapons and better strategy focused around it if we learn that strategy we can beat them like I beat Medern" Talmos explained

"We know who to make their bows and we make them I say we steal some chariots make some of our own and take back what is ours" Talmos nearly shouted.

"And so it begins" the old man said then started laughing.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Talmos asked.

"You have been raised since your birth to lead Egypt back to glory and today you truly started on that path" the old man said then left the training area.

"He has to the strangest person on the face of Egypt" Talmos said tiredly.

"Quite possibly but hell with him let's go celebrate" Medern said joyfully, for those of you who are totally innocent, back then celebrate meant some fairly heavy drinking.

"Sounds like fun" Talmos said slyly.

"It should be as long as we can get out of here without the old man finding out" Medern said "Let's just scale the wall"

"Alright" Talmos said but not before strapping his two real swords to his back and toss Medern his sword.

The friends scaled the wall of the compound and slipped out unnoticed by the ever vigilant guards and the watchful eyes of the blind man.

"Well that was easy" Talmos laughed.

"I think it was to easy" Medern said slowly "We should leave before the old man realises"

"I agree he has a sense for things such as these" Talmos agreed.

The friends ran away laughing from the imposing compound towards the bright town and what promised to be a night neither would soon forget.

The old man sat in his room and laughed 'They won't forget this night' he thought as he sat back in his chair.

Medern and Talmos laughed jovially as they walked into the bar appearing nothing more than a couple of adventurers or mercenaries, the gods knew there was to much of both for anyone's good.

"We should have done this a long time" Talmos said breathlessly after he sculled a beer.

"Indeed my friend" Medern replied as he sipped his drink "Look to your left one of the serving girls is giving you looks"

Talmos quickly glanced to his left and caught the eye of the serving girl, a fox, who smiled widely and nodded towards the stairs "What do you think?" he asked Medern

"Go ahead I've got some business in the stables" Medern said with a laugh gesturing towards a busty horse.

Talmos got up slowly making a big show of stretching and heading towards the stairs, out of the corner of his eye he say the serving girl start towards him. Talmos smiled as he ascended the stairs this was going to fun even if he was still a virgin he had heard the soldiers talk and a few of the poets to.

Talmos turned the corner at the top of the stairs and waited for the girl, the girl rounded by the corner and was swept up in Talmos' embrace "Not here my brave hero, let's use a room" she whispered into his ear.

The serving girl walked swaying her hips seductively as she walked up to a door halfway down the hall; she unlocked it then stepped inside beckoning to Talmos. Talmos followed bemused and entered the room and gazed upon the serving girl.

She was totally naked and unfortunately not the only one in the room "Oh shit" Talmos breathed out as he drew his blades.

"So this is the hope of Egypt somehow I expected...more" said a vicious looking wolf.

"Trust me I am far more than you can handle" Talmos said a he wheeled his blades through the air in menacing circles.

"Unlikely when the Shepherd Kings order a killer they order me" the wolf said sanguinely.

"Right" Talmos said uncaringly "Are we going to fight or are we going to boast a little more?"

"Fine then die" the wolf snarled and leapt forwards swinging twin daggers, Talmos smiled this was going to be too easy

Talmos ducked under the first blow dropped his second sword and grabbed the wolf's left hand and slammed him into the wall, using his momentum continued his movement to slam his sword into the wolf's guts and into the wall impaling the wolf like a butterfly specimen.

"Now" Talmos said picking up his other blade and walked towards the bed "You are going to tell me who paid you"

"I swear I didn't know" the fox stuttered out.

Talmos breathed out frustrated "You realise it would be next to impossible for him to know the room you'd chose" he said darkly "So either you are lying and are about to join that scum or one of your friends betrayed you which means the guys who sent that shit will kill both you and your friend"

The fox blanched visibly "I swear" she choked out now crying.

Talmos gritted his teeth "One last question, why were you naked while he was in the room?"

"He came from the cupboard in the corner of the room I swear" the naked fox sobbed.

Talmos massaged his temples "Fine get dressed you're coming with me"

"W-why?" she stammered.

"Didn't you hear me? When the Shepherd Kings find out that their assassin is dead they will be very pissed and will torture your friend who will blame you and then they will kill you" Talmos said coldly

The fox swallowed noisily and began to get dressed "Oh by the way" Talmos added "If my friend has been harmed I will wreak hell on the tavern"

The fox was now dressed "We might need to run very fast can you do that?" Talmos asked more kindly

The fox nodded not trusting her voice "Good because I have a feeling that the assassin wasn't alone"

Talmos walked up to the assassin who's corpse was still pinned the wall and roughly removed his sword letting the body flop limply to the floor. Talmos cautiously opened the door and beckoned the fox to follow, they descended the stairs in silence and Talmos walked towards the stables the fox in tow.

In the stable Talmos could hear blades clanging but he could not see a bloody thing, he cursed mentally until he vision had adjusted to the darkness then jumped into the fray leaving the fox whimpering in a corner.

"Good to see you Medern" Talmos jested as he slammed the attacker into the wall.

"What took you so long?" Medern replied casually.

"Just taking care of the tab" Talmos replied "I decided to bring the girl with me"

"Whoa not going to happen" Medern said firmly.

"Yes it is going to happen, she will be killed if I leave her here" Talmos said with an edge on his voice "Where is the girl you where with?"

"You just knocked her out" Medern said offhandedly.

Talmos grimaced "That was annoying I bet" he said.

"You have no idea" Medern said darkly "It stands she isn't coming with us."

"I don't care what the old man, does he probably realises we are gone so what is the issue?" Talmos asked

Medern exhaled deeply "This is going to end badly."

"It should I reckon the old one planned this whole thing" Talmos said suddenly.

"Why would you think that?" Medern asked.

"Think about of all the times we have tried to get out but fucked up, we do something so simple even a child could think of and he doesn't notice, now that is bullshit" Talmos explained.

Medern considered that for a moment "Son of a bitch" he breathed out.

"Let's get out of here" Talmos sighed as he pulled the fox upright.

"What about the horse?" Medern asked.

"She was going to cut your balls off man do whatever you like" Talmos said negligently.

Medern thought for a second then smiled, Talmos left with the fox to wait outside. Medern emerged looking fairly satisfied "What'd you do?" Talmos asked.

"Tied her up and put word around there was a horny mare in the stables" Medern said with an evil laugh "She is not going to get off easy."

Talmos burst out laughing "Only you would think of that" he laughed and walked off with the fox following behind.

"What?" Medern asked.

"Never mind" Talmos gasped getting his laughter under control "So what's your name?" he asked the fox.

"Fenn" she said quietly.

"Well Fenn seeing as your hero over here decided to bring you just how the hell are we going to get you in?" Medern asked pointedly.

"How the hell do you think dumbass" Talmos replied "We go over the wall and I'll carry Fenn with me."

"If you are right the old man will be waiting" Medern said bluntly.

"Good that'll make things interesting" Talmos said sarcastically.

"Alright fine but I am going to take a running jump I reckon I can escape his notice bet you can't" Medern boasted.

"Bring it on" Talmos said darkly.

Medern speed off into the darkness "I swear when I need him he does that" Talmos said to no-one in particular.

"Really, he seems nice" Fenn noted.

"Okay look I just saved you I don't need you supporting him" Talmos said trying to sound serious but failing miserably.

"How did you two meet?" Fenn asked curiously.

"He is my trainer he has taught me how to fight in all sorts of combat" Talmos explained "Though he can still act like a child."

"Who's the old man?" Fenn continued.

"If I knew his name I call him by it but apparently no-one knows his name. He has taught me everything but combat though from what I've heard he can whip Medern in any form of combat" Talmos said.

"You certainly move in strange circles" Fenn replied.

Talmos shrugged "Sometimes but that's for later now we have to get over this wall without the guards seeing us" Talmos said as they approached the compound wall.

"Can you do that?" Fenn asked dubiously.

"Why would I bet against Medern if I thought I couldn't?" Talmos replied.

Talmos reached over to Fenn and slung her over his shoulder in a classic fireman hold and leapt onto the edge of the wall. He waited for a reaction hearing none he climbed over pulling Fenn after him and slid down the other side and caught Fenn as she fell.

"Told you" he whispered the dragged her towards the rooms.

Fenn was about to protest as they entered his room "If I put you in some else's room they may not be as kind as me" he warned.

"I wouldn't think of it" she replied and kissed him.

Talmos responded by crushing her against him pulling her deeper into the kiss and removing his clothes but leaving his swords within easy reach. Fenn stripped her clothes off within seconds leaving Talmos half-dressed still pulling at his clothes.

"Need some help" she murmured into his ear as she removed his pants and clutched at his groin.

"Of course I couldn't without you" Talmos replied thrusting into her paw.

"Such a big boy" Fenn remarked as she stroked his cock.

Talmos growled softly at her touch as desire flowed through his veins "I need you now" he growled.

Fenn smiled widely and flopped onto the bed "Take me then" she moaned in need.

"Gladly" replied Talmos and thrust in deeply.

Fenn gasped as Talmos' length slid in deep bumping against her cervix causing her to shudder with pleasure. Talmos moaned as he thrust into Fenn she was so tight and wet.

Talmos began humping Fenn rapidly making the bed creak with the strain, it wasn't particularly well put together and this new strain was pushing it's crappily made limits. Fenn moaned into Talmos' mouth as she kissed him although she had only had him for a few minutes she was about to cum, she had to keep him.

Talmos groaned he was afraid he was going to finish to soon and was determined to last at least as long as she did luckily he didn't have long to wait. Fenn shrieked in pleasure as she came around Talmos' cock driving his pleasure to new heights sending him over the edge spraying his jackal cum into her foxy depths.

The old man sat in his chair and took a long drink of his beer "Well he chose well didn't he" he said to Medern.

"What are you talking about?" Medern asked.

"That fox Talmos is breeding is the daughter of the last High Priestess of Horus" the old man explained.

"Did you have to send the assassins?" he asked.

"Yes or Talmos wouldn't have taken her" the old man said.

"Well we shall soon see if you chose right that day in the temple to name Talmos the hope of Egypt" Medern replied.

"Indeed we shall" the old man spoke.
