#2 of Amnesia Repost

The mew floated high above the human, and the small patch of beach and forest that he was confined to. Her mother had set up a barrier that would deter most pokemon, and keep the human inside. She had had to argue with her mother for twenty minutes to stop her from sending him back to the humans. In the end, she had to agree to watch him closely, but she had convinced her mother to allow him to stay.

Far below, the human was waking. He tried to resist, feeling comfortable asleep, but it was a fruitless struggle. As he woke up more, he began to wonder where he was, and his eyes shot open. He tried to search his memories, but found...nothing? He sat up slowly, wondering where all the injuries on his body had come from. He looked down to see his body covered in bandages that looked like clothes that had been ripped to shreds and tied hastily around wounds. The one wound he could see looked a week old and he wondered how he got it, as it looked like someone had nicked him with a drill. How he knew this was both a mystery to him and, he realized, completely irrelevant. What was important was that he find fresh water, food, and shelter.

About an hour later, he was gathering firewood, when he heard a menacing growl coming from the brush just outside his field of vision. Purely by reflex, he spun around, his body acting on its own to take a fighting stance. When he stopped, he had his right leg below his right shoulder; his left leg was out farther, with the toes pointing at the area the sound had emanated from, and both his knees were bent slightly; his left arm was over the knee, with the elbow bent at an obtuse angle, while his right was at an acute angle.

No sooner had his foot touched the ground then did he see a swift movement on the fringe of his vision. He spun around just in time to drop to the ground, narrowly avoiding a grey and black blur, which sailed over his head, and landed three meters away. When it spun around to face him, he saw what it was: a mightyanna! He was being attacked by a pokemon!

He barely had time to register this before it leapt at him again, teeth bared. This time, he vaulted over its back as it ran through where he had been a fraction of a second earlier, and pushed it to the ground. It slid to a stop and stood back up, before jumping at him again. This time, however, he was ready. He spun around and sent his heel into the side of the wolf's head, causing it to spin. He had no time to relax, however, as it used the spin to strengthen the iron tail attack it had been about to use, and he was hit dead in the chest by the full force of the attack. He was sent flying into a tree two meters away, stunned; he was surprised that he didn't hear the snap of a bone breaking. The pokemon used that to its advantage, and pinned him to the tree.

When he had the human pinned, it asked, "What's a HUMAN doing here?!" when it got no answer, it moved its fanged mouth in to rip his throat out.

When he heard the mightyanna speak, the human was too surprised to answer. He was sure that he must be hearing things; humans couldn't understand pokemon, that was just how it worked. But when the wolf began to move in for the kill, his body reacted again, and sent his fist flying into the side of its head. He thought for the instant before it hit that it was pointless, that it would just piss the pokemon off more. Then his fist made contact, and there was a flash of red-orange light, a loud bang, and the mightyanna's weight vanished. He looked at his hand to find it engulfed in a flame-like energy. Before he could panic, however, the energy vanished. He then followed the direction where his fist pointed with his gaze, and saw the wolf lying on its side five meters away. He approached slowly to find that the entire left side of its head was covered in burnt flesh, and the stench nearly made him vomit.

Despite the fact that it had nearly killed him, the human couldn't bring himself to walk away. About two meters from the injured pokemon there was an aloe plant of some kind. He ripped off one of the leaves and used a pair of stones to grind to a sort of pulpy juice, and dipped a bandage that he removed from his chest in it and wrapped the bandage around the pokemon's head, being careful not to cover its good eye or tie its muzzle together. When he was done, he stood up and grabbed the firewood before walking away.

The mew watched this whole exchange from the sky. She was actually about to fly in to break it up when the human finished it. She watched in fascination as he bandaged the mightyanna's wounds, and examined his mind for about an hour after that. In that time, she focused on his personality, and quickly grew to like him. He seemed to be very nice, and not at all like her mother had described humans to be.

He set up a camp later that night. It was really just a fire on the beach, but there wasn't much else he could do. He sat before the fire, watching the fish that he caught in a nearby stream cook on makeshift spits. By the time they were done, the sun had set, and he ate them in the light of the fire. Afterward, he ate some wild berries to try and wash the taste out, and it didn't work as well as he had hoped, just adding some more pleasant tastes to his mouth, but it was better than nothing.

He had just lain down on his side to go to sleep, when he felt a furry shape press against his back. His eyes snapped open and he rolled away from it, leaping to his feet. When he turned around to see it, he stopped, muscles slack in shock. Hovering not a meter away was a pokemon said to have been extinct for centuries: a mew. When it came towards him, however, he came back to himself. When it was just centimeters from his face, it threw its front paws out and yelled, "Boo!" and the human jumped, falling on his butt. At that point, he was next to the fire, and when he put his hand out to steady himself, it went into the embers, and he cried out in pain as he drew his hand back, but too late, he already had third degree burns.

Because he didn't know what mews ate, he began to slowly back away, pushing himself with his legs and his uninjured hand. When his back hit a tree, he closed his eyes; he didn't want to see the end if it came, and knew it would make little difference anyway. The end would come whether he was watching or not.

It wasn't long before he felt the little pink cat settle into his lap. When he felt its lips press against his, and its tongue slipped into his mouth through a jaw slackened by surprise, he thought, "Oh, great, it's tasting me." Then it began to try to engage his tongue in a dance of sorts, and he unintentionally slipped his tongue into its mouth and before long, they were full on kissing. The mew was doing so extremely passionately, and before long, her paw slipped somewhere that made the human very uncomfortable.

The human felt a paw press against his crotch, and his eyes snapped open for the second time. He cried out, "NO!" and pushed it away, only to instantly regret that action as pain flared from his hand. As he fell sideways to the ground and the edges of his vision went black, he noticed for the first time that the mew was a female. Then he blacked out.

A few hours later, somewhere else in the world...

A blonde woman in a red dress that came to just above her knees walked into a large room full of computers and high-tech equipment through a pair of stainless steel automatic doors. At once, one of the two men guarding the door turned to her and said, "Ma'am, we detected a power surge identical to the ones Luke Ikkitousen created."

"How long ago?" questioned the woman.

"Approximately four hours," replied the man.

He never saw the fist coming until he had a broken nose.

As the man bent over clutching his face, she turned to the other grunt and demanded, "And WHY didn't you contact me?"

"W-we didn't want to disturb you over a mere human teenager," he replied nervously.

"FOOL!" she screamed, "That 'mere human teenager' has power to rival legends!"

Another man called out from one of the communication stations. "On the plus side, I just got word that we've retrieved his weapons," he said, "Shall I have them brought in for examination?"

For the moment, she ignored the question. "Bring up the satellite feed on his location," she said, turning to the large screen in front of the room. When the feed came up, her eyes widened. The only thing displayed was a blank expanse of ocean. "Could it be?" she thought.

"Ma'am, what about those weapons?"

"I want them dropped in the next time you detect an energy surge." She walked away, knowing her orders would be obeyed. Besides, she had things to do.
