1: A Brother Goes Missing; One Goes Searching

A think fog covered the land, like a blanket. The only sound: rain hitting the ground and the houses of Enyo. The houses were made of bricks and mud bricks, so the houses were red and tan. At one of these houses a coyote sat on the porch. He looked up at the grey sky, his left paw rested on a black saya of his katana. The sheath had three golden diamonds below the kurikata, each mad up of four samaller diamonds; the golden diamond was the symbol of Clan Pacifer.

Nathaniel was only seventeen years old. He had tan, dark brown fur; his eys, blue as Lake Enyeus. His mother, father, and every one in the town didn't know where he got his blond afro. That was his oddity; his hair was his oddity, and he loved it.

A red fox, about thirteen or fourteen years old, ran up to him screaming, "Nathaniel-san! Nathaniel-san! Come quick!"

Leaping up from the porch, the coyote met the young red fox in the middle of the walkway. "What is it? What's wrong? Lars, what's wrong?"

Lars started to cry, "It's Breido! He was kidnapped by a group of soldiers. They had the markings of Lycopolis soldiers." The look of horror o the fox was not disturbing to the coyote.

"Lars, stay here. Tell my dad that I am going after Breido."

Nathaniel walked up the pathway to a house with the adress: 24 South, Enyus Street. Rage burneded in his lake blue eyes. His hood of his black hoodie over his head mad Nathaniel look like Death. As he knocked on the door, it began to rain harder.

A grizly bear answered. "Nathaniel! Come on in."

Nathaniel just stood there in the rain. "Breido was kidnapped. I need my guns." Nathaniel owned a Walther P99 6mm bbgun and a real Walther P99 9mm handgun. He kept them at his friends house, due to his mother not wanting firearms in the house. The coyote stepped out of the rain and added, "My boddy armor, too, please, Jeremiah."

"Well you better come in."

Nathaniel's body armor looked like Samurai armor, though its basic from was body armor of the early twenty-first century. He had added the Pacifer Clan symbol to the helmet and a set of horns. To the kevlar vest he had added chain mail sleeves with kevlar plate mail. In the body armor he looked like an oni form Japanese fairy tales. Both guns were holstered on his right hip, his katana on his left. The body armor was black; over his face a tight fiting balck face mask made out of some type of silky fabric, only his blue eyes shown.

"Princeps habeat non alium finem, non aliam notionem, neque incipat ullam artem quin belli, ejarum rationum et ejarum disciplinarum, nam quod est unicam artem expectatum princepis. A prince must have no other purpose, no other notion, nor must take up any art but that of warfare, its philosophies and its disciplines, for that is the only art expected of a prince." Nathaniel was paraphrazing a quote he read in school form The Prince, by Niccolò Machiavelli; andhe was refering to The Art of War, by Sun-Tzu.

Jeremiah could tell that his friend could just be about to go on a one man quest to save his brother or beginning of a vendetta against his brother's death.

The coyote then quoted Sun-Tzu directly: "In general, the method for employing the military is this: Preserving ther [enemy's] state capital is best, destroying their state capital second-best. Preserving their army is best, destroying their army second-best....For this reason attaining one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the pinnacle of excellence. Subjugating the enemy's army without fighting is the true pinnacle of excellance."

From what the grizly bear had heared the coyote say, Jeremiah know that Nathaniel was a true warrior, a warrior who viewed all life as holy and a tresure.

Nathaniel waited for night to come, as he loaded twenty magazines for the handgun, each magazine held fifteen rounds a piece; for the hand gun there were three hundred rounds. He had fifteen magazines for the bbgun, each magazine had thirty rounds for the bbgun; total rounds for the bbgun were four hundred nad fifty. If any one was for a battle, it was Nathaniel.

"Don't worry, Breido, I'm coming. And I'll kill any SOB that gets in may way."

"Amen!" The voice was familar. It belonged to his cousin, Lila,a black wolf.

Nathaniel turned around and saw Lila standing with a coyote-rabbit hybrid, his boyfriend, Anubeus. Lila had kunai along her leg in black and purple, six per side; and a fencing foil at her left side. Anubeus was dressed similar to Nathaniel, though he had a bastard sword adn two Walther P99 9mm handgunds, fourty magazines and six hundred roudn for his guns.

Anubeus huged Nathaniel and said, "No te preocupes por tu hermano, mi coyote. No te preocupes, le encontraremos." Nathaniel knew what the coyote-rabbit had said: Don't worry about you brother, my coyote. Don't worry, we'll find him.
