#1 of X-Fur Episodes

Yeah, here is my second official story. This time I'm gonna try to keep my writing interest up by writing only smaller episodes to a larger story. This episode is pre- x-furs and is kinda like a prologue to tell you about the main character, Sebastian, who is soon gonna join the x-furs. And yeah, you guessed right. This is pretty much like x-men, but with furs and different characters throughout the story. Tell me if you think I am copying too much or maybe too little :) Enjoy!

X-FURS

Episode 1 - The Nuclear Incident

Sebastian had yet again failed to get a permit from his parents, and on the day of the school tour his teacher was less than thrilled about the rising problems. Luckily, Sebastian's problem was a small one compared to the fighting huskies and the poor girl with the bruised arm, who stood too close to problem one.

"I knew you'd forget, Sebastian. That's why I called your father last night and got your parental consent. STOP FIGHTING KIDS!!! I'D HATE TO CANCEL TODAYS TRIP!" miss Portmann alarmed.

'Waow, I can't believe she was able to get hold of my dad' was all Sebastian could think of because Sebastian did not forget the permit. He simply hadn't been able to get it because of his busy, busy "parents". He'd gotten used to it though.

He got back to reality as the crowd of teenage furs instantly got quiet and freezed. Miss Portmann truly had some power that day. This trip was the highlight of the year, and everybody was excited. Some more than others. Being the head of the class Sebastian was overly excited about the outcome of his trip. He was planning on writing the best report for miss Portmann about the evolving nuclear power plants and their signifigance in the modern world. He grinned a little to himself, thinking about homework, and then frowned a second later when he realised the level of geekiness he'd just gotten to.

Apart from being the head of class, Sebastian was very popular considering he was everything he's friends were not. Smart, athletic, beautiful and rich. The rich part was however not something you'd guess from the looks of Sebastian. Beautiful is, though. He was a handsome thin snow leopard, with beautifully toned muscles and a pink nose that all the girls on the school thought was so cute. His behind was spectacular with the toned back and the perfectly round buttocks with the long soft tail starting at the end of his spine. Sebastian trained his tail as much as everything else. So far he could pick up a pencil and write his own name with it. Pretty impressive, but not as much as his pickpocketing tricks was. He'd never needed to use those tricks, but you never know when they might come in handy.

Sebastian, or Zap as his friends called him because he was extremely fast and had crazy reflexes, was just about 5 feet and 4 inches high, which is pretty normal hight for a 13 year old snow leopard, but pretty small compared to all other furs. That is irrelevant because he still jumped almost 5 feet and was the captain of the basket ball team, which probably is another explanation of his popularity.

The bus arrived at the nuclear power plant a little past 9 a.m. and all the furs stormed out the school bus and gathered around miss Portmann for the short briefing. Next to her was a turtle with a boring lab coat, wearing boring glasses and holding a boring clipboard in his scaly hands. He looked peculiar... and boring.

"Aaaalright, kids, this here is Dr. Fornheimerr and he has agreed to take you around the nuclear facility today as a gift to the school. And what's more interesting, he is gonna take you all into the cooling tower as a special tour today. Enjoy kids!"

The turtle looked like he was powering up before finally focusing on the kids and slowly spoke with a monotone voice.

"Nuclear energy facilities generate carbon-free electricity in over 30 countries around the world. A nuclear energy provides clean and safe energy 24 hours a day. Let us walk inside to see how it works."

Sebastian was already ignoring the turtles speech because he already knew way more than what he might tell school kids.

"The water inside the turbine is being heated by nuclear energy.........." he continued, but Sebastian was trailing along in the back looking on his own. They were now walking inside the massive cooling tower and their feet was just meters above the cold water basin. In the blue water was old uranium rods and used up coltrol rods just waiting for their chance to become nuclear waste in a few years when they've used up the last of their energy.

"Hey Zap, I dare you to cross that warning sign over there!" Jeff said descreetly pointing at the metal staircase leading almost all the way down to the cold water. Jeff was a fearless husky, who often got in trouble. Sebastian always noticed Jeff because he was wearing tight shirts to show off his abdominals and pectorials. That fine torso was not something Sebastian could turn down. Luckily Sebastian is a lot more fearless than Jeff so walking down the dusty staircase was no match for his bold actions.

The old staircase, however, wasn't a match for his low bodymass, and a few steps down the metal started bending and he was soon holding on to the steps with his hands and the staircase was now vertical in the air. A lot of the girls started screaming, the teacher was telling Sebastian to come up from there and the turtle just panicked.

Sebastian clawed himself to the metal and started pulling himself up slowly. Jeff ran out to the edge and tried reaching out for Sebastian, but they couldn't reach each other.

"Hold on Sebastian!!!" Jeff cried out. Sebastian looked Jeff into the eyes as the staircase lost touch of the bridge and dove into the ice cold water with Sebastians paw stuck to the metal frame. Jeff screamed as he saw his friend dissappear.

As Sebastian got dragged into the blue water he started shaking feverish. His body was in shock and he couldn't move a muscle. He was about 10 feet down, when suddenly large poles emerged from deep down. It was the old control rods and the used up uranium rods. The staircase hit the bottom of the blue pool and was inches from a uranium rod.

'I'm gone. I'm dead for sure.' he thought to himself. He felt the uranium pierce his skin and he felt his insides melt slowly and pain shot through him. The pain caused him to loose his breath and he started drowning slowly in the dark blue water. Everything turned white. He was gone.

But then he wasn't -
