Reality Check

by Sanada

***

A click. A slam and the phone was back in the receiver. His voice had been like ice, cold and unsympathetic, or so the vulpine thought. He blinked, tears streaking down from his hazel eyes onto his fur. A black socked paw moved up to brush the tears away while a sniffle echoed in his ebony nose. It stung, much more than he thought was possible. He knew they had shared their fair share of problems over the last few months, yet the fox just knew that everything would work out in the end; everything would turn out perfect.

That's when reality slapped him in the face with a heavy paw. Rios Monroe looked down at the silver and black covered phone with a haunted look in his eyes. A push of a button and he could be talking to him again, would be able to try and make up with him; say he was sorry. The fox shook his head in dismay. No, there was no point. T.J was the one who had wanted to break up. Even the way he had been acting the last few weeks should have been sign enough that something was going to happen. Yet he turned a blind eye to it, tried to convince himself that the wolf and him would pull through this. Rios reached for the phone doubtfully.

The receiver felt cold in his paws, the plastic cover glinting in the light shed by his room's only bed-side lamp. His fingers ran along the numbers softly, tracing in a pattern which would dial to T.J's apartment. He could do it. It was as simple as hitting re-dial. Rios' muzzle crumpled into a look of utter sadness as the realization of what had just happened descended upon his shoulders. T.J was gone, had broken up with him finally. Tears streaked down the red fox's face as he flopped onto his bed, burying his face in the pillow to muffle his wails of sadness.

What did he do wrong? Where did he screw up to cause T.J to leave him? Sure, the wolf had said the usual lines, 'it's not you, it's me' and 'I need to find myself before I can really commit to anything'. Rios knew it was all bullshit. The wolf was never emotional enough to say things like that. It still stung greatly however, even if the words were blatant lies or not. The only comfort he had to cling to now was the feathery softness of his pillows and the warmth of his blankets. The fox's tail hung limply between his legs; the soft, blazing red fur with a milky-white tip seemed almost lacklustre in the dimly lit apartment room.

He wished T.J was here, to hug him and hold him. To make everything all better. Yet the wolf was gone and he wouldn't ever feel his strong touch again along his fur. The lupine would never scratch him between the ears like he always loved to do or wouldn't play with his tail whenever the two felt particularly randy. He was alone now, with no one to cling to for support. At least until his room-mate got home from work anyway.

The light breeze from his ceiling fan caressed his back gently, tickling his fur and sending shivers down his spine. It was all of little consolation to the tearful canine. His head was turned to the side, ears pressed flat and the fur of his face matted with salty condensation. He just let the clear drops slip from the tip of his nose onto the bedspread; not caring in the slightest. All Rios wanted to do was to curl up and die, figuratively of course. His heart ached and his head pounded. A paw clenched into a fist as he sniffled, slamming it into the pillow before him.

"Why did it have to end like this?!" Rios cried, his voice choked with anger and sorrow. Angry that he had let his relationship with T.J and himself end like this. Surely, there could have been something that he could have done to prevent it and so, the fox silently beat himself up over the fact. He led himself to believe that it was his fault the wolf had abandoned him. "If only I had seen it coming sooner...I could have done something..."

With a defeated and utterly miserable sigh, Rios kicked his legs over the side of the bed, sitting up. His ears still remained firmly planted against his head while his tail never even tried to move in the slightest. His crying had stopped, at least only partially as tears continued to slowly drip down onto his bare chest fur; his soft, white underbelly quickly absorbing the liquid. Mournfully, his eyes drifted over to the picture sitting on his desk of T.J and himself just four months previous. A black paw clasped the edge of the gilded frame and brought it over. T.J was a handsome wolf, with short cropped hair and a body most other furs would have loved to have. Big, finely muscled yet not freakishly huge. The lupine's soft grey and white fur seemed a perfect contrast to Rios' fiery red. He had one big paw wrapped around the shorter fur's side while the other shielded those golden yellow eyes of his from the stinging rays of the sun. Even the way T.J's ears seemed to perpetually face forward and never once seemed flat on his head was an allure the smaller fox couldn't resist; of confidence and strength.

It was gone though. Every last detail. Rios barely registered that his paws were shaking from the extreme force he was exerting on the edges of the frame. The fur of his chest rose and fell with each ragged breath as a fresh wave of sobs overwhelmed him. It was over; T.J didn't love him and he must have done something to screw it up. New tears dripped from his muzzle, splashing onto the glass casing of the picture.

Rios clenched his eyes shut as he trembled all over. His paws shook so bad that the picture slipped from his grip to shatter on the floor with a crash. Glass scattered everywhere and it only caused Rios to break down a little more. The fox slumped to the floor, his paws carefully picking up the pieces of the broken frame. A whine escaped his muzzle as one of the sharper pieces cut into his soft paw pads easily, causing the vulpine to lose his hold on the shard as a thin trickle of blood dotted his finger. He brought the aching digit to his lips, sucking on it gingerly as his other paw swept up the remaining pieces and tossed them into the garbage pail beside his desk. The picture remained on the floor.

A quick motion sent the frame and photograph skittering across the floor to slam into the wall with a dull thud. He couldn't bear to even look at T.J's smiling face, his soft fur, those strong paws, bushy tail and warm eyes...

With an anguished scream of sorrowful rage, Rios just buried his face in his paws, blood mixing in with his vibrant fur. He stayed that way for what seemed like hours when in reality, only several minutes had passed. He cried; letting out all of his anger and frustration in a flood of tears until none streaked down his fur any longer. His body shuddered violently from the sobs to the point it almost started to hurt; his lungs and chest aching.

A knock on the door broke Rios from his pitiful trance, causing the fox to look up at the dark portal with bloodshot eyes. Marcus was back from work apparently, a little earlier than expected.

"Hey, Rios? You alright in there? I heard something fall and then a scream," came the relaxed but rough voice of his roomie. The tall cat leaned up against the wall beside his door. His beige furred tail brushed up against the wall as he listened for a response, whiskers twitching now and then. The sounds of sniffles resonated from somewhere inside the room. The fox was crying obviously, but over what? "I'm gonna come in, alright?"

Marcus' paw quickly turned the knob of the door and stepped into the room. Light from the hallway filtered into the darkness and his eyes took a second to adjust before he spotted Rios sitting on the floor with his knees pulled up close to his chest. Bloodshot eyes stared back at him and the big cat could see that his fur was matted from countless tears. A cursory glance to the floor brought the broken picture frame into sight; the glass shattered and broken. A slight tear had formed in the center of the photograph of T.J and Rios.

"Christ Rios, are you alright?" Marcus asked, though the cougar made no move to enter the room. Small bits of glass glinted in the penetrating light from the hallway; shards that the fox had still yet to scoop into his paws. He could see the tears rimming Rios' eyes, the distraught look etched on his slim muzzle. Something had happened and the big cat could hazard a guess as to what. Once more his eyes drifted to the picture lying on the floor.

"Rios, you okay?" came the question again. Marcus' deep voice dripped with concern but the fox hardly registered it. He never said anything, merely shook his head in dismay. With a sigh, Marcus padded into the room, picking up the broken picture on the floor. Yellow eyes scanned over familiar details, Rios' small bed; with the blankets and pillows thoroughly ruffled. The lightly stained dresser which doubled as a desk. Rios' computer sat atop the wooden unit, humming lightly. The only light in the room aside from the hallway came from his nightstand. The luminance would flicker now and then, a sign that the bulb was nearing its final watts of power.

He placed the picture on top of the desk before crouching down beside the fox, placing a comforting paw on his bare shoulder. Rios just looked at him, almost pleadingly. His lips moved to say something but he stopped at the last second, dropping his gaze to the floor.

"Come on, let's get you off the floor at least," Marcus said, grabbing hold of the vulpine's paw and easily pulling him to his feet. Rios made no move to resist. He just didn't have it in him to argue or fight back. He just let Marcus lead him into the living room before plopping down onto the couch. A lump had formed in his throat and he knew he was on the verge of tears again but he tried to fight it back. Marcus didn't need to see him cry, even though the cougar had seen it a few times before. The cat just sat beside him, holding his paw comfortingly.

That simple gesture alone set him off and Rios collapsed in his arms. At least this time he had someone to hold onto.

"Mark...I'm sorry," the fox cried softly. "I didn't want you to see me like this."

"Calm down Rios, it's alright. Really. I've seen you cry before, it's nothing new bud," came the relaxed reply. Marcus even snickered slightly. His mirth never wore off on the fox however as the canine buried his muzzle in the cat's black tee. "What happened though? I've never seen you like this before man..."

"It...T.J and I...him...we. God Mark, I'm not gonna see him again!"

"Why?"

"We...broke up. He...he said he wasn't ready for commitment. Fuck Mark, it hurt so god damn much..."

The fox's body continued to shudder as he cried, clinging onto Marcus' shirt. The cougar just let him hold on as hard as he wanted. He'd seen break-ups before, had gone through many himself so he knew just how to handle situations like this. A soft paw stroked down Rios' back gently, soothingly. The fox just had to let it all out before it would get any better.

"I know Rios. Just let it out buddy, I'm here for ya," the cat replied softly as the fox hugged him tight. It pained him to see his best friend and room mate like this. The two had known each other since high school and had been the best of friends; always there for each other whenever they needed it. Whenever money was tight, or when they got a bad mark in school. During break-ups and when the two had experimented a bit a few years ago with each other. It hurt him deeply, yet for now there was little he could do.

Time drifted by slowly as the minutes slipped away. Rios had stopped crying and had changed positions, laying across the cougar's lap instead as the feline ran his paws through his fur like he always did whenever he was upset. Few words had been exchanged between them but it didn't matter. Marcus knew that Rios would speak when he was ready. Rios had his head in his lap, facing away from him. He could barely make out the fox's expression, a mix of sad passiveness. The fur on his face was matted terribly from countless tears and his angular ears still remained firmly planted on his head. Marcus just sighed to himself, letting his paw pads run along the fox's body slowly. At one time, the two had tried dating each other but it quickly ended; mutually however. They were friends, not lovers. It still made it no less easy for him.

"Hey...Mark?" Rios asked after a time. He turned his head to look at the big feline and offered him a feeble smile. Marcus could tell that it was forced but he had to commend his friend for putting on such a brave look in face of the recent break-up.

"Yeah bud?"

"Thanks...I don't know what I'd do without you. I mean...you're always there for me."

"That's what friends are for man. We've know each other for a long time Rios, I'm not just gonna let my best buddy sit there on his own without some support."

"I know...thanks Mark."

"No sweat. So uh...you mind if I ask what caused all this though? You and T.J seemed to be doing pretty good there for awhile. I never would have guessed he would break it off with you."

"Me neither...he said he wasn't ready to commit and that he needed to find himself or some other shit. I loved him though, and I thought...felt like he loved me back. Mark, it felt like I got stabbed in the fucking back by him. Even the way he said it, it was almost like he was putting the blame on me! I never did anything!"

"I know Rios, I believe ya. Y'think he was just looking for a way out?" Mark asked, scratching his head with a blunted claw. Rios just shook his head as he pushed himself off the cat. The fox clasped his paws together and leaned forward, letting his gaze rest on the floor.

"I don't know. Maybe. I mean, I noticed we were drifting apart awhile ago but I never thought much of it. I figured it would all just work itself out at some point. God that was stupid of me..."

"Hey, don't beat yourself up over it. I never noticed him slipping away to be honest, I mean come on, you guys were pretty much attached at the hip."

"Yeah but...it seemed like, whenever he wanted to spend any time together, we had to fool around at least once. Hell, even twice. That's when I really noticed us starting to drift apart."

"You think he was using you for sex?"

"Maybe...I dunno," Rios said with a frustrated sigh. The fox planted his head on his paws, looking thoroughly miserable. "I guess so, but I never said no when I could have. I could have tried patching it together to make it something more than just sex. I didn't though..."

"I'm not sure it would have helped Rios. If T.J was just after your tail, well...I dunno if he would have stuck around until he found someone else to screw around with."

"I guess, but it still hurts the same."

"I'm sure it does bud," Marcus said with a soft smile. The big cat wrapped an arm around the smaller fur, pulling him into a hug. Rios smiled weakly up at him, his mood brightening just a bit. "You'll just need to get through this, and you know you can always come to me when you need help with anything."

"I know...thanks Mark. You really are too good to me, y'know?"

"Anything for my best buddy!"

Rios just sighed and leaned back against the couch, clasping his paws behind his head. A twitch of his nose and his ears lifted from his fur, though they never swivelled completely around. He was still hurting a great deal and Marcus knew it would still be some time before he completely got over being dumped. It had been a long while since Rios had known that feeling and admittedly; it had been for Marcus as well. The cougar was enjoying being single, free from the baggage and emotional problems that always came with relationships. Rios on the other paw craved to have someone to cling to; to snuggle and hold, and to make love to and that was something Marcus just couldn't provide. They were friends and the only time they had shared each other's bodies, it had been somewhat awkward. Though that incident had occurred a few years ago, during the last year of high school.

The fox's tail brushed against his leg gently. At least it had decided to move instead of hiding in shame finally. A paw ran through the furry appendage and Rios giggled a bit at the delicate touch. Marcus just beamed back, glad that his friend seemed to be in at least somewhat better spirits.

Minutes turned to an hour and then that hour to two and they still remained on the couch, sharing hushed words, old stories and thoughts. Much like best friends usually did when their greatest bud in the world was down.

"Do you think he'll take me back?" Rios asked, his muzzle tilted up at the taller feline. Mark shrugged, not really having an answer.

"Dunno man. Do you really want him back though? From what it sounds like, T.J is more of a jerk than he let on. If he comes back, he just might hurt you again, use you. I don't wanna see that happen to my chum."

"I guess you're right...this is probably for the best. Without him here, I suppose I'm free to do whatever I want with my time now and not worry about keeping him entertained. I mean, my tail hole could use a bit of a break," Rios said with a soft laugh. The cougar just gave him a quizzical look.

"That often huh?"

"Yeah...one, two times a day. Whenever he slept over, he'd want it as many times as he could get. He's got a sex-drive I couldn't really keep up with surprisingly."

Mark laughed and Rios joined him. He had no idea that T.J was such a nymphomaniac but if what the vulpine said was true, then there could be no other word to describe the big wolf. Often times he could hear them banging the bed against his wall and soft growls and whimpers of delight slip from under the door crack. More than once the cat had to tell them to shut up. However, just the thought of T.J using Rios purely for sex made his claws extend just a bit and his fur stand on end from anger. At least he wouldn't be around anymore.

Silence hung between the two friends. With everything out there and known, there was little left to say about the matter. Rios was still pretty down, of that Marcus did not doubt. There had to be something that he could do to cheer up his friend. Something that would take T.J off his mind and give him something else to think about for awhile. The cougar drummed a beige-furred finger against his muzzle; whiskers twitching as he thought. Maybe they should go out somewhere, get something to eat or go to a club or bar. That sounded like a pretty good idea, the two of them could grab a bite and then swing over to the clubs. Maybe pay a visit to Sutherlan and his crew.

"You feel like going out for a bit? Take your mind off T.J for awhile?" Marcus asked swinging an arm around the vulpine's shoulders. Rios' fur tickled his underarm and he smiled wide at his friend. The fox blinked and looked at the digital clock by the television.

9:47.

"It's kind of late, isn't it?" Rios asked, tilting his to the side in a sly smirk. Marcus noticed that his tail flicked back and forth slightly. The prospect seemed to please Rios. The big cat just shrugged his shoulders.

"Does it matter? I'm not working tomorrow and I know you aren't either. Come on, let's hit the club. We haven't seen Sutherlan and the gang for awhile now. It'll be good to just get out and hang like we used to before T.J came along."

"I guess so. It would be kinda nice to have a couple drinks right now, maybe do a bit of dancing too."

"Check out some new guys to bring back here?" roared Mark in laughter. Rios just frowned at him, but the visage didn't last as he burst into a peal of his own giggles. He knew that Marcus was only kidding around with him. After all, he did just break up with T.J, finding a new guy was the least of his concerns right now.

"We'll see," came the expected reply. Mark just slapped his friend lightly on the shoulder and got up from his comfortable spot on the couch. The big cat stretched as a yawn escaped his fanged muzzle and the sounds of a few bones cracking made Rios wince as Marcus straightened up. The fox sighed, in part relief and sadness. Marcus was right though. Maybe the two of them should go out for a bit. After all, it had been at least two months since the cougar and him had ever done something together as T.J had occupied almost all of his time before hand.

Even just thinking about the wolf made his heart skip a beat and his black-tipped, pierced ears droop. It was nothing the pleasantly intoxicating effects a few drinks couldn't cure, as well as the up-beat, spirit lifting gyrations the vulpine could pull off on the dance floor. It would be nice to get out and just loosen up and cut loose, free from the responsibilities of a one-sided relationship.

Rios smirked slyly up at Marcus before sashaying back to his room. Mark just grinned as he watched his friend disappear before a gut-wrenching yelp raked his ears. With a protective growl, the cat was over the couch and across the hall in a matter of seconds. Claws clacked and skittered across the wooden floor as he dashed towards Rios' room before sticking his head inside to see what was wrong.

"Rios! You okay?!" he cried out. Rios was on his bed, holding a foot tenderly. The way his form shuddered lightly caused Mark to assume that he was crying once more. Yet there were no tears or sobs. Indeed, the vulpine was laughing quietly to himself. Tiny dots of red were splattered on his foot pads and a quick glance to the floor told him everything he needed to know.

"Forgot there was still some glass on the floor," he explained while giving Marcus a pained smirk. The iron-like smell of blood wafted about the room as Rios hefted his paw into the air to show him the dots of blood pooling on the bottom of his foot. Carefully, a paw extracted a small shard for the pads but the fox just gritted away the pain.

"Doesn't that hurt?" asked Marcus. He rubbed the back of his head nervously. Rios just gave him an incredulous look, as if the question was utterly ridiculous.

"Yeah, it does," Rios chuckled back while brushing the few remaining shards away. "Damn, want to get me a bandage or something? They should be in the cabinet."

"Bathroom?"

"Yeah, thanks Mark."

"No problem bud."

Quickly, the cougar padded away; leaving Rios alone in his poorly lit bedroom. The fox looked down at his foot and sighed in dismay. Dancing was potentially out of the question tonight with his paw in this condition. The cuts weren't deep but the number of them made it painful to put pressure on as he easily found out when trying to stand. He just fell back onto the bed with a groan, one hand running through the vibrant fur of his tail. It would just take some time to heal, that's all.

Marcus was back in moments with the gauze needed to wrap his injured foot paw up. The cougar double checked to make sure all of the glass on the floor was gone before kneeling in front of his friend.

"Hold your foot out," he instructed and Rios did as he was told. Marcus was already wrapping the material around it, tight enough so it wouldn't unravel. When he was finished, he clasped it all together with two specifically designed pins and helped Rios to his feet. "You going to be alright walking?"

Rios winced at the pain but shrugged it off, giving Marcus a quick nod.

"I'll be okay, just got to be a little careful is all. It's nothing some stiff drinks won't take care of," he remarked lightly before shambling over to the closet. The doors creaked open loudly on the old track that held them in place as a pair of black paws began rummaging through the many different shirts and pants, in search of something particular. Something fitting for a night at the bar. Marcus just watched, letting his eyes drift across his friend's smaller form before disappearing into the hallway. Rios just figured he was going to find an outfit of his own.

A pair of fox paws rummaged amongst the many different kinds of clothing, from basic solid colour t-shirts; to pants, skin tight and comfortably baggy. Truly, it was the closet of a fur who enjoyed his clothing a great deal. A paw clasped around the hangers of a dark brown tee and a pair of faded black jeans with white streaks sewn into the top. A quick motion and the outfit cascaded without grace onto the bedspread while Rios quickly shut the pale metal doors with a heavy screech.

With a moderately content, if still somewhat pained sigh, Rios pulled the tee off of the hanger and slipped it over his slender form. The material fit snugly though comfortably. The shirt was tight enough that his nipples poked out at the material just a little. A good choice for the delicate, fragile fox he felt he was currently. In a few moments, the vulpine was dressed and ready to go.

Marcus was back shortly after, dressed for a night on the town; or to pick up a date. The ebon-shaded dress shirt he wore fit perfectly with just a single button undone at the top and bottom. Once before, the cougar had explained that it helped to show off his chiselled, well-defined physique. Rios couldn't argue that as his eyes drifted to the tiniest hint of the cat's abs displayed teasingly. A pair of simple blue jeans with just the smallest hint of earth tones blended in with the material wrapped around his strong legs nicely.

Rios couldn't help but blush. He hadn't seen Marcus done up like this for quite some time. Too long, he reasoned with a pleasant smirk. Marcus caught the blush.

"What?" he asked with a bit of a smile, showing the slightest hint of fang. A motion that sent a very enjoyable tingle surging down the vulpine's spine. Rios noticed how Marcus' tail was swishing about happily, a sign he was glad to see after the grave events that had transpired a bit ago. It amazed Rios that he had rebounded so quickly himself. He just assumed it was the prospect of hanging out with his best friend that made him feel this way. It had been a very long time since they had spent any time together. Rios just smiled up at him, not saying anything. He simply got up and moved towards the door, despite the slight pain afflicting his foot paw. The fox just shrugged it off stoically, as best as he could.

"Nothing," Rios responded with a slight grin. Marcus just shook his head and followed after him towards the front door. He could see Rios still hobbling slightly but the fox did his best to appear otherwise. The cougar just grabbed his shoes by the door, slipping them on his foot paws.

"You ready to go?" Rios asked while putting on a pair of worn dress shoes; scuff marks covering the dark leather.

"Yup, think I'm ready. I've got my wallet, my cell...yeah I'm good," Marcus said while double checking the pockets of his jeans.

"Right-o, shall we then?"

The fox extended a paw towards Marcus, who gladly hooked the extended appendage in his own arm, offering a friendly grin to his best friend. Rios did like-wise as the door swung open into an empty hallway. In moments, the two were on the street in front of their apartment, waving down a cab chartered for downtown.

***

"Here you are boys, that'll be $14.80," the cabby said with a paw extended. Rios had already slipped out of the taxi while Marcus slid fifteen dollars into the gruff looking husky's paw. The canine gave Marcus a curt nod as the cougar stepped onto the sidewalk. The bright yellow cab pulled away shortly after, leaving the two friends standing in front of the busy club.

Sutherlan's was packed tonight, perhaps more so than it had been for a long while. Marcus groaned aloud at the sight of the line before them. It would be at least a twenty minute wait until the last person was up at the front. Rios let out a low whistle, ears drooping just a smidge.

"That's quite a line...," he muttered. Marcus just clapped him on the shoulder reassuringly.

"Yeah, but I think I just found us a way inside. Look over there," the big cat replied happily, stabbing a finger towards the front door. A heavy set badger dressed in a navy blue, nearly black suit stood by the heavy doorway scrutinizing every fur that passed by flashing their I.D. His black eyes would narrow into slits at practically everyone. The ebon and ivory fur covering his body seemed to stand on end in a threatening manner, but both Marcus and Rios knew it was all just an act. Nick, the bouncer would always act like this when he worked, scaring most of the younger patrons away. Rios had to admit, he made a good guard, keeping out the under-aged.

However, in reality Nick was very friendly and even rather tame as far as bouncers went. Though it all changed at work; with the exception of friends however. The burly fur would be more than willing to just let them slip by without even batting an eye and forcing the two to wait in line. Already Marcus was moving towards the front of the line with Rios close on his heels, grinning despite the pain in his foot paw. Rios could already make out the heavy beats and flashing lights flickering in the windows, an alluring display of luminance that caused the vulpine's slender body to crave the dance floor. T.J seemed so far away in his mind already.

The building itself was fairly non-descript, with walls made out of brick and a neon red sign with the name 'Sutherlan's' written in tubular lights. A squat two story building, it really didn't seem like there was much room, especially considering the amount of people outside and no doubt there was at least two or three times that number within yet the building was much bigger on the inside. It was the most popular night club in town, catering to all crowds; though Rios knew at least half of the patrons were like Marcus and himself. It was the only gay bar in town and thus attracted the right sort of eye candy to further distract the fox from those depressing thoughts.

More than a few muzzles turned up in a scowl as Marcus moved up beside Nick, Rios at his side. The badger finished checking the diminutive mole's I.D before handing it back to the squat little fur, who dashed inside quickly, making a beeline for the bar. The next fur in line moved to show her I.D but Nick held up a dark paw, motioning to wait for a second before glancing at the two to his side.

"Well if it ain't Mark and Rios! Damn, where the hell you two been? Haven't seen you guys for weeks," Nick said, flashing a grin as he grabbed the vixen's card and glanced over it quickly before sending the girl inside with a nod. Marcus crossed his tan furred arms over his chest, matching the badger's smile with one of his own. Rios just scanned his vision over the crowd, noting how furious some of them seemed to look at their forced entry up to the front of the line.

"Been busy with work bud," Marcus explained. He wrapped an arm around Rios' slender waist and pulled the fox forward, who yelped slightly in surprise. "Figured I'd take the kit here out for a few drinks, he's been feeling down today."

"That right? What's got your tail in a knot Rios?" Nick asked casually while keeping the line moving. The fur up at the front growled slightly at the two for cutting ahead but Nick's furious scowl sent them scurrying inside with their tail between their legs. "Sorry 'bout that, I really shouldn't have let you guys cut in like that but whatever. So yeah, what's up Rios?"

"Oh...nothing really. Just...T.J and I...he dumped me earlier tonight," Rios replied sullenly. His gaze fell to the hard concrete sidewalk but he willed himself not to cry. He had already done that enough tonight. Now was the time to put T.J behind him for a little while, have some fun and loosen up. Rios looked back up at Nick, shrugging slightly. The badger's stout muzzle was painted with a frown but Rios did his best to put on a disarming smile, easing the bouncer.

"Damn, that sucks bud. I hope it all works out for you. T.J could be a bit of a prick if I recall," Nick replied, placing a friendly paw on the fox's shoulder while looking over another potential patron's I.D.

"I'll be fine, thanks Nick. A few drinks and some time on the floor should fix me up hopefully. I just need to get him out of my head for a bit; calm down and cool off y'know?"

"Yup. Now, you boys going inside or what? No need to hang out here all night with me. Checkin' I.Ds really isn't much fun. Go on, get inside and grab some brews. Sutherlan's tending tonight so get something strong," Nick laughed, ushering the two inside quickly so that the mob didn't get anymore upset. Not that it mattered; as he could deny any of them if he wanted. Not that he would. Rios was already heading towards the bar, Marcus following after him, giving Nick a pat on the shoulder as he moved by. In response, the badger smacked his ass playfully before returning back to work.

Already furs had started shoving plastic paper in his face again.

Rios' damper mood was quickly dispelled when he stepped inside the club. He hadn't been to Sutherlan's for quite awhile now and already a big smile splayed across his muzzle. The dance floor called to him, lithe body already bouncing to the beats of Madonna's 'Vogue' but first things first, a trip to the bar was in order. He wasn't nearly inebriated enough to start gyrating his body on the floor.

Furs of all kind moved around him, from other foxes, wolves, bears, and elk. He even thought he spotted a hippo way off in the back; a rare sight indeed. Yet 'Sutherlan's' attracted furs of all kinds, most of which were gay. After all, it was the only bar of its' kind in town which catered to that crowd in particular. It took a few moments for his earthy brown eyes to adjust to the multi-coloured flashes of light and the hazy darkness that followed but it was a feeling he quickly became familiar with once again. Rios sighed happily; he had missed coming to this place when he had begun dating T.J.

A paw grasped his shoulder lightly and he smiled up at Marcus, the big cat giving him a toothy grin as his whiskers twitched excitedly. Like Rios, the cougar hadn't been out for a night like this in a long time and it was long overdue. The sheer noise from the music and the multitude of other furs made it difficult to hear the cat over the heavy din, but Rios thought he heard something about the bar. His suspicion turned into truth as Marcus started weaving between the bodies towards the back, where Sutherlan was already serving up some drinks. Rios just grinned following after his friend.

Unlike the rest of the club, the bar itself seemed relatively empty. The lupine barkeep, Sutherlan Parker saw them coming and slid down a pair of shots as they took a seat. The wolf just offered them a nod and a wink as he moved down the line. Marcus just shook his head while Rios grinned at the burly wolf's clairvoyance. Despite his rough and tumble appearance, Sutherlan, the owner of the club knew exactly what his customers wanted and always seemed to have a sixth sense for when to expect things.

Rios peered down the row to the others sitting with them. There were only six of them at the counter but each had a shot glass curled in their paws. Rios was about to ask what the occasion was when the wolf spoke up before him.

"Alright boys, time to try my special brew. Whipped it up a few hours ago and I wanna see what you all think," he said gruffly, crossing those tree trunk-like arms of his across his broad chest. Marcus sniffed at the small glass and recoiled from the heavy scent of pure alcohol.

"What is it?" he asked. Sutherlan just laughed at the big cat's scrunched face.

"I call it the 'Nut Buster'. 1 part vodka, 2 parts sour puss, 1 part gin and 1 part vanilla coke."

"That's some kinda combination," Rios snickered. The wolf just tossed him a disarming smirk before motioning to the shot glasses. Rios couldn't help but stare dubiously at the murky liquid before him. The smell alone burned his nose; no doubt it would sear an alcohol-drenched hole in his throat as well.

"Bottoms up!" Marcus called out and the six of them grabbed their glasses and knocked the stuff back in one fell swoop. It tasted just like it smelt. Marcus forced himself to swallow, his throat burning from the acrid taste of alcohol, the strange combination of flavours lingering on his tongue. He wasn't the only one to flinch heavily. Everyone else seemed to have similar sentiments.

"It's an acquired taste," Sutherlan explained when they had finished; moving down the line and collecting the glasses. The wolf couldn't suppress his inane grin, just seeing their expressions had been priceless. At least no one had spit the stuff back up all over the counter. "So what do you gents really want?"

"Moosehead," Marcus muttered, his muzzle still scrunched in disgust. The taste wasn't going away, lingering on his tongue and in his throat. Rios decided to go with a simple glass of red wine just to be safe and hopefully get rid of the burning on his own lips.

Sutherlan brought the drinks and everyone else shoved their money in the lupine's face, who collected it casually before tossing it all into the register near the back. He was back in a moment, leaning on the counter in front of the two friends, offering them a wicked grin. A curious look flashed across his grey and white furred face, looking at Rios.

"What? Is there something on my face?" he asked, smiling at the burly wolf. Sutherlan reached up and flicked the piercing in his ear lightly. "Oh that? I got it a few weeks ago. T.J seemed to really...never mind."

Rios found his gaze drifting low again. Everything seemed to just keep coming back to the wolf who broke his heart. He had been the one to suggest getting the piercing, and caught in the wiles of love for him, Rios had done as he wanted; submitted to the tiny suggestions the wolf had planted inside of him. Just like all the times he had let T.J take him, even when he wasn't in the mood. He felt used, hurt; as if he were nothing more than a sex toy for the wolf to play with.

The wine glass moved to his lips and the fox took a large sip, gulping the dark red liquid down eagerly. Marcus just grinned at him, not knowing in the slightest that the pained thoughts had once again taken over the fox's mind; if for but a moment. Rios caught the friendly look and forced a smile of his own onto his muzzle.

"Looks good," Sutherlan replied. The wolf knew not to press it any further than that. At the fox's own mention of T.J, he had seemed to quickly fall into a darker mood for a moment. He simply flicked the jingling piece of metal on Rios' black tipped ear once more before turning to Marcus, who was fighting with the bottle cap on his beer. Sutherlan sighed; grabbing the bottle from the cougar's paws and with a quick twist and flex of muscle, took the metal off easily. "There you go cat," he snickered, handing the deep green bottle to Marcus, who quickly stuck the tip in his muzzle.

"Someone's eager," Rios laughed lightly, taking another sip from his wine glass. Marcus just beamed at him, though his over-enthusiastic actions had caused the foaming head of the beer to begin spilling out of the top, all over his paws.

"Shit!"

Marcus did the only thing he could think of; stuck the top of the bottle back in his muzzle. His cheeks flushed slightly in embarrassment as not only did Rios and Sutherlan burst into a peal of laughter, but so did some of the other furs at the counter. Marcus simply shrugged it all off good naturedly and waited until the head died down, though most of the fermented foam had spilled down his throat already.

One pair of eyes did not join in with the friendly mirth though. At the far end of the bar, closest to the dance floor; a lone tiger sat. The feline's fit, striped body seemed to resonate an aura of confidence, of sheer strength and dominance. The big cat watched the cougar's display with an amused expression, yet his eyes kept falling to the joker's friend.

The scent was strong, of cologne or some kind of deodorant, but it caused his whiskers to twitch all the same; pleasantly. His muzzle curled into a smile, fangs glinting in the hazy light as he watched that vulpine tail curl and swish about once more. Just moments ago, that same appendage seemed almost completely lifeless and he just knew that something had caused the fox's mood to dampen.

At least it was only temporary. Sullen foxes were always much less fun. Even the outfit he wore seemed to add a hint of playfulness; casual but not preppy. The brown t-shirt he wore clung to his lithe body perfectly, while the pants themselves left little to the imagination. Though it hardly mattered; all foxes seemed to have an ability to make anything at all look good.

Grinning, the striped feline brought his own bottle of beer to pursed lips, but his yellow, almost golden irises never seemed to look away from the fox for long.

The lynx pressed himself up against the cool wooden barrier, grinding his hips forward through the moderately sized hole drilled through the wall. A shallow gasp escaped his heavily furred muzzle, a single paw reaching up to pull on the fuzz that framed his face while bucking his hips forward. The sound of suckling and slurping was barely audible, as the walls of the stall reached right up to the ceiling but they were there, and damn that guy was good.

Just the way those lips slid and slurped along the feline's cock sent shivers down his spine, making his short, black-tipped tail curl with delight. Whoever was on the other side of the wall had done this numerous times before; he hadn't felt a muzzle this good in a long while. It was all he could do to not just unload in that snout right now, but the drive to prolong such a wonderful feeling dominated his mind. He wanted this to last awhile longer, to edge himself to the very last. Satisfaction comes first and by stemming the want to explode inside that mouth, it would be much more intense and ultimately, more satisfying.

"Fuck...," he said with a slight growl, placing both of his silvery-brown paws up against the wall of the small bathroom stall. That tongue was driving him insane, the way it would curl and slither around the supple flesh of his member, taunting; teasing it. Now and then, the mysterious fur would pull off of it completely, and smear the wet piece of meat across his lips and muzzle. The rough feeling of coarse fur felt great before his cock was eagerly engulfed again by those lips.

The fur on the other side was clearly drunk and even a bit sloppy sometimes but it was what he liked. Sloppy, messy, and very wet. If he listened carefully enough, the lynx could hear the sound of paw pads smacking against slick flesh and content moans of gratification; though the latter came mostly from himself. The fur on the opposite side of the wall was jerking himself off furiously, but it only served to turn the cat on even more.

Keep this up and I'm gonna blow pretty quick, he thought to himself while bucking into the glory hole and subsequently, the other fur's muzzle. Looking down, the lynx could barely make out the form of his lust-filled partner; or at least, his lower half. One paw, covered in grey and white fur slide along preseed coated flesh, a bulbous piece of meat resting atop the opening of the fur's sheath. Canine. That idea was reinforced by the sheer amount of liquid sputtering from his glans, spilling over fur and flesh alike. What little he could see of his chest and legs he liked; muscled and large, but not huge. Just knowing that this large canine, probably a wolf of some kind was blowing him made his imagination work overtime. It wasn't often the rugged cat got his cock sucked by dominant beings; but when he did, it seemed almost better, as if he were the one in charge.

It went on for several moments longer; the wolf continuing to paw at his own sex, eager paw pads stroking along his shaft as that fine, muscled jaw worked along the cock in his muzzle. Foot steps would echo around them but no one cared. More than likely, furs were possibly engaging in the same kind of activity in stalls beside them. So it was without any care that the lynx groaned aloud, thrusting his hips forward into the hole, fully in the throes of his climax. Cum sputtered from his pulsing, quivering shaft; spilling down the wolf's throat, who swallowed with barely a thought. Indeed, the heavy tang of seminal fluid was a taste he had come to like, rolling the pearly white spunk across his tongue before eagerly gulping it down until the lynx was completely drained.

Yet he still hadn't gotten off. He looked down at his own member, aching for release but the feline cock slipped from his muzzle with a wet pop, disappearing back into its' own respective stall. The canine watched, ears twitching as the sound of a pair of pants being pulled up drifted through the hole, followed closely by a belt buckle latching itself shut. The stall door opened and the lynx was gone. He growled looking down at his precum soaked cock in a drunken haze. He wanted to get off, but not like this. He wanted a partner, someone he could breed; someone to fuck. With a slurred grunt, the lupine pulled his worn jeans back up, stuffing his cock back into his underpants and zipped up the fly. He needed a play-thing, someone who would be more than willing to satiate his desires.

T.J grumbled as he pushed the stall door open, stumbling into the bathroom proper, golden hued eyes long turned into a blood-shot red from a half dozen bottles of beer. The few furs in the bathroom looked at the drunken wolf curiously, but T.J just waved them away with an angry paw. With a bit of effort, he stumbled towards the door leading back out into the club, tail already swishing about in eager anticipation, though the hackles of his fur remained raised just a little in inebriated defense while hungry eyes scanned the throng of furs milling about.

One in particular seemed to stand out from the rest, a certain fox the wolf knew very well. He would put out for sure. Hell, the little bottom was probably eager to apologize and get back together with him! T.J's grin widened considerably as he readjusted his still aching hard-on, stumbling his way over to Rios, who sat with that cougar friend of his at the bar. The subby little fox was more than likely dieing to see him again. Maybe he had come looking for him, and that meant he would be an easy lay.

Ex or not, one tail hole was as good as any other.

Rios sipped the dark red liquid slowly, swirling it about in his wine glass before taking another. The fox's ears twitched now and again, catching snippets of Marcus' conversations with Sutherlan; usually about the latest sports scores and football teams. Regular old jock talk.

Sutherlan would nod now and then in response but would otherwise not say too much, instead just letting Marcus carry most of the conversation as he continued to serve the furs coming up for drinks. Rios couldn't help but sigh a little at his friend's sheer enthusiasm, though the bottle in his paws was more than a little responsible for that. Mark usually wasn't this talkative.

Eventually, his thoughts started wandering again, drifting back to the wolf that had abandoned him. A frown slipped across his muzzle as he recalled that fateful conversation that had ended it all earlier tonight, had put a stop to the charade that he had been living. He knew now that T.J didn't really love him, but a small part of him hoped to God that the wolf would come back, say he was sorry and the two could go on loving each other like before.

No, it won't ever be like it was before, Rios growled to himself quietly. T.J knew full well what he was doing, knew exactly how much this would hurt him and the wolf probably didn't care. He just wanted to fuck and Rios didn't put out enough. None of this was his fault, as much as he wanted to blame himself for it. T.J had done this all of his own accord, there was nothing he could have done to prevent the sex-driven lupine from changing his mind.

Rios clenched the wine glass tightly, knuckles blanching under the black fur of his paws. He was angry and upset, but mostly angry. No one even noticed the fox fuming under his fur but perhaps it was for the best. Rios glanced over to his friends beside him; he didn't want to lash out at them blindly. After all, Marcus was only trying to help him take his mind off of T.J.

With a disappointed sigh, Rios shifted on the bar stool, looking the other way instead, glancing at the tiger further down the length of the counter.

He had long realized that the big, muscled cat had been staring at him, probably for quite sometime now too. It was almost a little flattering, especially so when he had ordered a fresh glass of wine, having Sutherlan deliver and explain who it was from to him. Afterwards, the vulpine mouthed a quick 'thank you', to which his large friend merely winked back.

He was being hit on. Rios had no doubt about that. While it was a bit flattering to having someone chasing after him like this, he didn't know if he was ready just yet. After all, he had just broken up with T.J today.

Rios took another sip of from the glass, looking over the big jungle cat with more than a little curiosity in his eyes. Not bad, he had to admit to himself, smiling to himself as he drank. The predatory feline was built and obviously took good care of himself with such a glossy coat of orange and black striped fur. The green of his eyes seemed to stand out as well, despite the dim lighting of the club. It was as if he was almost beckoning him over, what with how his whiskers twitched and his tail curled and flicked.

A blush crept up to his face when he realized that he had been caught looking at him so intently, the tiger grinning at him broadly. More than a few fangs showed themselves, the pearly white teeth sparkling immaculately. Rios quickly turned away sheepishly, embarrassed at having been caught staring so blatantly. After a moment, he hazarded another glance and the cat was still looking at him, but it was the fur behind him that caused Rios' blood to freeze and a look of surprise to sweep across his face.

T.J was walking towards him, though the wolf swaggered and swayed heavily. Rios immediately pegged him as being drunk off his ass and the lupine's blood-shot red eyes only added to that thought. Yet he was heading right for him!

Shit, Rios cursed to himself, looking away. His mind raced, wondering just what to do. T.J was probably coming to bother him, maybe laugh at how he had been dumped and probably tell him all about some new little bottom he was dominating. T.J was like that, always ego-centric and always polishing his new trophy-like playmates.

He only cared about himself.

He was going to be here soon though and he quickly slipped off the bar stool, though not un-noticed. A firm yet reassuring paw gripped his shoulder lightly. Marcus gave him a friendly, if somewhat inebriated smile, his other paw still gripped around his beer bottle. A tiny drizzle of foam lingered on his upper lip but he quickly wiped it away.

Rios just forced a smile onto his muzzle and nodded towards the dance floor.

"You gonna go?" Marcus asked while taking a sip. The cougar grinned, completely oblivious to the obvious tension masked under Rios' fur.

"Yeah...you mind?" he replied, still tense. He needed to get away and fast. T.J was almost here and he didn't want Marcus to see him arguing with the wolf. No one really needed to see the conflict that was most certainly going to arise.

"Nah, go ahead buddy," Marcus grinned, clapping the smaller fox on the shoulder before returning to his drink, and to Sutherlan whom was now leaning against the counter across from him. Rios was quickly gone from his mind, having vanished into the crowd, though the cat thought he saw a familiar looking canine following after him. The thoughts were gone almost as soon as they had come, his mind focusing back onto the burly lupine before him. He was completely aware of the looks that Sutherlan had started shooting him and he couldn't help but play along.

Maybe he wouldn't be going home tonight alone, if at all.

***

He was looking for an escape.

Rios' breath was ragged as he dodged and weaved between the furs on the dance floor, his form being illuminated by the brilliant flashes of the strobe lights hanging from the ceiling. His eyes looked in the direction of T.J, who was still following after him and his heart thundered against his chest heavily; in both fear and anger.

What the hell does he want from me?!

The thought swirled in Rios' mind as he pushed his way through the throng of grinding, bumping bodies on the smooth, recently polished floor. His foot paw was aching again, more so after it had been stepped on a half dozen times by oblivious dancers. No one even bothered to apologize; too caught up in their own little, music-filled world or too drunk to give a shit.

Nothing was presenting itself to him. He couldn't even see a fire exit through the mesh of bodies. Rios winced and threw an arm over his eyes as the strobe flashed again directly in his face, temporarily blinding the frightful fox.

_Fuck, I can't see anything,_his mind screamed and he tried to stumble forward a few steps but the aggressive movements of the furs to his side spun the vulpine around, pushing him right into T.J's waiting arms.

"Hey there foxie," the big wolf said, his words slurred from the numbing effects of alcohol. T.J's powerful paws immediately grasped his rump, squeezing it hard and causing the fox to jump slightly. "I thought I saw you."

"W-what do you want?! Haven't you caused me enough grief already?" Rios barked back, though his voice was weak and feeble as T.J looked down upon him. What was that in the wolf's eyes?

Pity?

Yeah right, Rios grumbled to himself. The wolf didn't have pity for anyone but himself. Didn't care about anything or anyone but himself in the slightest. Rios mustered his courage and pushed away from the bigger canine, glaring at him angrily.

"Just leave me alone T.J."

"Aww, come on man," the wolf said grinning, wrapping an arm around Rios' waist and pulling him back again. "I know you miss me and so I thought I'd come talk to ya...maybe, y'know...," his voice trailed off and he winked at the fox. Rios' jaw dropped at the words and his fear was replaced by anger almost immediately.

So that was it. He was nothing more than just a sex object to T.J. Even after they had broken up, the wolf still wanted to fuck him. There was nothing else too it; no love, no feeling. He just wanted the carnal satisfaction of breeding him again. Hell, the stupid fuck probably got off on the fact that they weren't together anymore.

Rios' muzzle turned up in a scowl and his ears flattened against his crimson fur. "That's it?! You come back and harass me only to get a fucking piece of ass?! What the hell is the matter with you T.J? I don't want to have anything to do with you anymore, so just leave me the fuck alone."

T.J was too drunk for the words to really sink into his thick skull, Rios could tell just from the wolf's stupid grin that didn't even leave his muzzle. That's when he caught the scent. Rios sniffed lightly again to make sure and he snarled at the bigger fur angrily. T.J's muzzle, though it looked clean, stunk of sex and cum. So, not only did he just want to fuck him, the wolf probably hadn't even gotten off yet from his last encounter and saw him as an easy target in his grief-stricken state.

No. He wouldn't do it. He wouldn't subject himself to the loveless relationship again just so T.J could have a piece of ass.

"Come on Rios...you know you want to," T.J said stupidly, a grey and white paw slipping down Rios' pants, pushing past the tight confines of his belt. With his strength, T.J pulled the fox close and forced his muzzle against his in a kiss.

Rios' mind raced and he did the only thing he could do. His paw shot up and smacked the drunken wolf across the face as hard as he could. T.J stared at him in shock and disbelief and the delay alone was enough to allow Rios to slip out of the lupine's grasp and back away a few steps. Tears rimmed the fox's eyes but the scowl never left his muzzle. A quick glance to either side told him that a few of the club-goers had stopped to watch the commotion, though none of them made any move to do anything.

T.J raised a paw to his cheek and looked at the furious little fox in front of him. His other paw balled into a fist, muscles cording beneath thick fur and he growled fiercely at his attacker.

"You little shit," he spat angrily, taking a step forward. "What the fuck did you do that for?!"

"I said no T.J. Just leave me the fuck alone already. Keep your fucking paws to yourself; I'm not just some kind of toy you can fuck whenever you please. I'm really starting to think that you breaking up with me was the best thing that's happened in a long time. Look, it's just not going to happen, I'm not here for your damn entertainment so stay the hell away from me. It's over between us!"

"You're fucking nothin' without me Rios, so be a good little bitch and get the fuck over here!"

"Excuse me?!"

"Yeah that's right. You had a great catch right here and you blew it. I'm offering you a second chance here fox and you're gonna lose it again just like you did before. If you don't want me goin' around to my friends and tellin' them how much of a little bitch you are, then come here already. You know I can make it so you can't get fuckin' laid again!" T.J snarled. The wolf's hackles were raised now and both of his paws had balled into fists. His yellow eyes were rimmed with seething anger, almost hate. He didn't like the fact that Rios had suddenly developed a backbone.

"You can say what you want to your 'boyfriends' T.J, I don't care anymore. Now just leave me alone for Christ sake or I'll go get Nick to toss your ass out on the street."

By now most of the people around them had stopped what they were doing and stood watching. Neither Rios nor T.J cared, too focused on themselves. Neither of them saw the burly looking tiger coming towards them, the same one that had been making eyes at the fox earlier. The big cat pushed his way through the crowd until he could clearly see what was going on.

The wolf stood a fair bit taller than the vulpine but the red furred canine didn't look like he was backing down in the slightest. That was until the wolf grabbed his earrings and pulled him close again, causing the smaller fur to shout out in pain. That was all he needed to see and he waved over to Sutherlan to send a bouncer straight away. The bartending wolf just nodded and pulled a small hand-held radio out from under the counter.

It was his turn now.

"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing?!" he growled, pushing himself between the two furious canines. The cat's tail flicked about calmly and his powerful paws pushed the two of them away from each other.

"Stay out of this!" T.J barked back but the tiger was un-moving. Instead, he just looked over to Rios and winked at him. The fox just gave him a confused look.

"You alright love?" the jungle cat asked, placing a firm yet comforting arm on his shoulder. Rios quickly understood what the bigger fur was trying to do.

"Y-yeah, thanks, but my ex here won't leave me alone," he explained, pointing a finger towards T.J. The lupine just stood there fuming.

"So I see," replied his protector before leaning down and pecking the fox on the cheek. "I'm Kale by the way," he whispered into his metal-pierced ear as he stood up straight again and fixed the angry wolf with a scowl.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing to my boyfriend here?! Do you normally go around picking fights with your ex or what?" he shouted, taking a step towards him. In comparison, Kale was even bigger than T.J, the tiger's big muscles hidden under a layer of short, striped fur. He crossed those powerful arms across his chest and waited for his answer.

"You?! Goin' out with him? How is that possibly considering I just broke up with 'em this morning? You been fucking cheating on me Rios?!" the wolf started towards him again but Kale's big paws easily pushed the drunken canine back and he continued to back peddle even further as the tiger stalked after him.

"Listen here you fucking dog. Stay the hell away from him, or I'll knock those teeth right out of your fucking head. Nick's already on his way so you better get your drunk-ass, cum-stinkin' face out of here before he shows up--"

"Too late, I'm already here Kale," came Nick's voice from behind the startled T.J. The big badger put a heavy paw on the wolf's shoulder and spun him around to look him straight in the eyes. "What the hell is the matter with you T.J?! I thought you had more sense than to start picking fights in Sutherlan's place. You know I gotta ask you to leave now."

"What!? It was that fucking little fox-slut that caused it all."

"Bullshit, I saw you following him right from the bathroom to here. You started this whole thing, that right Rios?" Kale said, looking over at the fox with a small grin. Rios nodded, coming up beside Kale.

"It's true Nick. He's been bothering me for awhile now. He won't leave me the hell alone."

Nick just nodded and grabbed T.J's arm, already beginning to pull 'em away. "Sorry bud, but you need to sober up and go home. Though I'd think about finding a new bar for awhile. Sutherlan doesn't take too kindly to fights so I wouldn't come back for a bit."

"This is complete bullshit!" T.J growled, struggling to break out of Nick's strong grasp, though he was failing miserably. "Nick man, come on! You can't do this!"

"You bet your ass I can T.J, now get out!" Nick said furiously, quickly losing his temper. T.J just growled angrily, shooting Rios a look of utter rage.

"Fuck you Rios. I hope that tiger gives you AIDS or some sh--," the word was cut off as Nick back-handed him.

"T.J, just shut the fuck up. You aren't helping anyone by saying shit like that."

The wolf mumbled a few more things but no one but Nick could hear them as the big badger dragged the stumbling wolf away towards the door. Soon enough, everyone went back to their own designs; dancing, drinking, club-stuff.

With the threat of his ex gone, Rios breathed a sigh of relief, a paw rubbing his ear tenderly. T.J had yanked on his earring pretty hard and it almost felt like he was bleeding, but nothing was there. Just the pain of his black-tipped ear. Rios forced a smile onto his muzzle, looking up at his rescuer. Kale was pretty tall, just a bit bigger than T.J and his ebon dress-shirt clung to his short fur almost like a second skin, showing off the predatory cat's muscular body. His similarly coloured pants did likewise and Rios' couldn't help but linger at Kale's crotch for longer than a second, the tight dress pants clinging to everything and leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination. Kale just grinned down at him, looking as if nothing had happened at all. Rios just shook his head and smiled back; genuinely.

"Thanks a lot for the save there. He wouldn't leave me alone," Rios explained, still nursing his sore ear. Kale placed a friendly paw on his shoulder and gave him an affectionate squeeze, the feeling sending a delightful tingle up the vulpine's spine.

"No worries hot stuff. Dealing with shit like that is nothing new for me. You okay though? He was pretty pissed," Kale said with a grin, flashing a hint of pearly white fang to the fox, who blushed slighty underneath his fur. There was something about the tiger that set him completely at ease, but he just couldn't put a paw on it.

"Yeah...I'm alright. Just, fuck he pissed me off so much. I mean, we just broke up this morning and then he starts dragging shit up again..."

"I take it he wasn't the best boyfriend huh and hey, while we're here; how about a dance?"

Rios smirked lightly up at him and nodded. His tail started wagging about once again and his ears swivelled back into a normal, upright position. "Of course, I think I owe you at least that much...Kale was it?"

"Yeah, and you're Rios?"

"Rios Monroe...pleasure to meet you and hey, thanks for the wine earlier," replied the smaller vulpine. Already the tension started to leave his body as he listened for the beat before following along with it, Kale doing the same.

"No problem, thought you could have used a bit more to drink. I'll buy you another after if you like."

"That would be great...but I feel bad though. I barely know you yet you've done so much for me. I owe you one."

"Nah, don't worry about it; just glad to be of help," Kale replied, wrapping a firm arm around Rios' waist and pulling him close. The movement shocked the fox for a moment but unlike T.J, the feeling of being so close to the cat was relaxing, almost comforting.

Besides, most of the people on the dance floor had their own partners, so it was only fitting that he should have one. Not to mention that Kale was quite a catch as far as looks went. When the music began to slow just a little, Rios had no problem resting his head against the tiger's broad chest, smelling that raw male scent deeply. Despite the cologne Kale was wearing, his natural feline smell clung to him heavily and sent a delighted shiver rolling down the length of Rios' body.

It was intoxicating.

They became one with the crowd, twisting, turning, and stepping with the flow of the music. Rios found his paws wandering playfully; just like in days past before he met T.J. He felt free, a great weight lifted from his shoulders. He was free to do the things he wanted, with whom he wanted and not have to worry about relationships. Yet he didn't know if he was really ready to do anything just yet. After all, he had just met Kale; was it right for him to play like he was?

His answer came in the jungle cat's own paws, one clasped with his own and the other stroking down his back to the base of his tail; even daring to playfully grab his ass once or twice in the process. No, Kale seemed to be enjoying it just as much as he was.

Their motions were in synch and Rios spun around so that his back was to the tiger, who eagerly wrapped those powerful, almost tree-trunk like arms around his slim chest, the feeling of Kale's dress shirt tickling his exposed fur. It was so soft, like silk or some other fine cloth. They exchanged few words, letting their bodies dictate their wants and feelings. Kale was pressed up against his back and he could feel the tiger's sheath against his rear very clearly. His own tail was brushing against his legs playfully, almost teasing him yet the feline fur was going far beyond simple teasing.

Rios yipped lightly as he felt Kale's muzzle nip lightly at his ear; yet not hard enough to cause pain. The feeling of having his ear in his muzzle was one Rios found himself eagerly enjoying and he pressed his rump instinctively against Kale's crotch; coaxing him along. The vulpine's heart pounded in his chest and he wondered once more if this was really the right thing to do.

The tiger's musky scent sent those thoughts spiralling away into the darkness of his mind; letting carnal instincts take over instead. This was his night, to get T.J out of his mind and body; to let loose and have fun. Kale seemed to be a willing playmate anyway; the way his paws were roaming all over his body didn't hide that fact at all. Rios inhaled sharply as the soft pads of Kale's paws slipped under his shirt, rustling the white of his chest before moving up and teasing a nipple playfully.

Kale was the embodiment of his species. Strong willed, fiercely dominant and predatory to the extreme. Everything he had been doing was to get at Rios; the looks, the wine, the protection he gave from T.J. Yet the fox didn't mind. In fact, he felt rather flattered that the tiger thought of him that way, but was it really any different than how T.J thought of him? Was he just being used again?

Rios didn't even want to think about it. Kale might be using him yes, but why wasn't he stopping him? It was like there was something compelling the vulpine to not stop anything from happening. Maybe it was just how secure he felt around the tiger; Kale certainly seemed to be a charismatic charmer.

The seductive dance ended and they both stood facing each other, Rios panting slightly. Kale grinned at him and wrapped a warm arm around the fox's shoulder, guiding him over to an empty table to the side. Rios just let himself be led, slipping into the cushioned booth comfortable. Kale mentioned going to grab a couple drinks and slipped into the crowd again, leaving the fox alone to his thoughts. Rios just hoped the cat hadn't abandoned him.

His worries were unfounded; as Kale emerged a few moments later with two glass of wine, handing one to Rios before taking a seat across from him.

"Figured you could use another drink," Kale said, grinning broadly. The tiger's whiskers twitched a little and Rios couldn't help but giggle at the motion.

"Thanks Kale," came the reply before he took a sip. It was a different type of red this time, dryer and much stronger, but still good. "I really feel like I owe you though, after all that you've done. Really...you've turned a shitty night for me completely around."

"No worries foxie, glad to help. I guess your ex will just have to use his hand tonight huh?" Kale chuckled, winking at the vulpine slyly. Rios joined in on the mirth, nodding. "So, why was he like that anyway? Was he always like that?"

"Honestly, when we first started going out, everything was fine. T.J was a great person but a few months ago, he started drifting away from me. It was almost like he was looking for an escape. During that time, the only reason he ever came to me was for sex, like I was some kind of object to be played with whenever he wanted. It just makes me so fucking mad...y'know?"

Kale nodded, patting the fox's paw reassuringly. "Easy there, I didn't really mean to pry Rios."

"No, it's...alright. Probably helps to get this off my chest anyway," he said, taking another sip from the dark glass while a paw moved up to tend to his sensitive ear once again. He could still feel where T.J had yanked on his earring.

"Still sore?"

"Yeah, a little bit. I seem to be in for a world of pain tonight. I stepped on some glass earlier today at my place; cut my paws a little bit but nothing serious. My friend Marcus helped me out."

"The cougar?"

"Yeah...how'd you know?" Rios asked, tilting his head just a bit to the side. The motion made Kale smirk. Rios looked very cute when he did that.

"Saw you come in earlier with him. You probably know I've been watching you for sometime now huh?"

"Yeah, I've noticed the looks. No worries though, it's actually kind of flattering. A bit more so now that T.J is out of the picture."

"Well that's good; I wouldn't want you to feel completely uncomfortable or anything."

"Not at all."

It went on for nearly an hour and a half; the two of them exchanging stories of past boyfriends and interests. All the while the wine never seemed to stop flowing. Kale had to run up to the bar once or twice more to refill the glasses and soon enough, Rios was beginning to get a fairly good buzz going. The lithe vulpine couldn't wipe the smile from his fuzzy orange muzzle even if he wanted to.

The second time Kale had come back with fresh drinks; the tiger had seated himself beside him, wrapping a strong paw around his shoulders as they talked. Kale never seemed to speak much of himself, more interested in the fox. The most Rios had pulled out of him was that Kale was 28 or 29, he couldn't remember exactly and that he worked for an accounting firm downtown.

At least that explained why he was able to afford going up and buying drinks so often.

It had to be at least midnight, perhaps even one in the morning when Marcus came up to the table, explaining that he was going to be spending the night here with Sutherlan. Happily inebriated and with a sexy tiger leaning up beside him, Rios just grinned and nodded. He'd just catch a cab back anyway. Besides, it probably worked out for the best like this. Both Marcus and himself were far too drunk to drive.

Mark was gone than, back to the bar and back to the burly wolf that was waiting for him. Sutherlan would be closing up soon; probably in another hour or two at the most. It didn't matter; he had already had a great time tonight anyway, even with the earlier trouble with T.J.

A slight tickle at his side brought his attention back to Kale, who was slowly stroking his side with that strong paw of his, the pads of which tickling his fur. Even the tiger's tail had begun brushing up against his leg playfully, as if hinting at something. Rios smirked to himself; Kale didn't seem like the one to tease. He seemed more like the one to just go in and take what he wanted. Even so, the fox couldn't help but place a paw on the tiger's leg as he finished off the last of his wine while breathing in Kale's masculine, musky scent.

Kale's paw was under his belt then and resting just over his underwear. Rios didn't even flinch, he just let his own paw wander where he pleased, slipping under the big cat's dress shirt and through his short fur.

"Someone's getting a little frisky," Kale whispered into his ear, nibbling on it a little like before. The feeling sent shivers coursing through his body and Rios inhaled sharply at the sensations; the corners of his muzzle turned up in a smile.

"Kind of hard not too when you've got a paw in my pants and you're biting my ear like that...," Rios whispered quietly. "I'm...not sure if I should be doing this just yet though. I mean I--"

"Just broke up with that wolf today, I know. It's up to you Rios, though I really wouldn't mind some company tonight if you wanted. Your friend is staying here and I could grab us a cab back to my place...maybe we could, get to know each other a little better eh?" Kale snickered as he nipped at the metal laced through the vulpine ear in front of him, the monotone tips disappearing into his muzzle completely.

His body tensed up at the feeling again and he found himself leaning up against Kale's chest, the tiger wrapping both arms around him while he toyed with his ear. Maybe he should go with Kale tonight; there really wasn't any reason not too. Marcus was spending the night with Sutherlan and he knew what that meant, so what was preventing him from having a good time of his own. At least it wasn't with T.J and now that the wolf was out of the picture, he was free to do what he wanted. Kale clearly wanted him to stay with him, if only because he knew Rios would probably put out, but did he himself want to put out? Was this just going to be nothing more than a one-night stand?

Rios shook the thoughts away and looked up at Kale, his eyes locking with the tiger's own golden pools. The fox smirked lightly a finger scratching him under his muzzle and making Kale grin.

"Alright, I'll stay with you. When do you want to go?"

"After I finish my drink, is that alright with you?"

"That's fine," Rios said, smiling coyly up at the tiger, an arm wrapped around the feline's own. The two just sat there talking for a bit longer until Kale had finished his glass. Afterwards, Rios followed him outside of the club and said a quick goodnight and thank you to Nick before chasing after Kale, whom had already flagged down a cab.

Nick just watched them go, a grin plastered across his muzzle. Rios seemed to have already gotten over T.J.

***

Rios' suspicions about Kale had been correct. Everything he had thought about the tiger; how he was dominant, strong, even predatory had proven right. The vulpine had come to this conclusion during the ride back to Kale's apartment on 23rd street, where the big cat had practically started undressing him right in the cab itself.

Oddly enough, the cabby didn't seem to mind; or at least didn't say anything when Kale shoved his paw right into Rios' pants and started feeling him up. The tiger knew just what to do too and soon enough, the pink tip of Rios' growing erection had slipped past the protective layer of clothing, exposed to the cool night air flowing in through the open windows.

It was a scene the fox had never played before, right in the middle of a taxi heading towards someone else's apartment. The sound of his zipper being undone shook the fox from his momentary shock and he watched as Kale quickly engulfed his cock into his broad, whiskered muzzle. Rios eyed the taxi driver, in both fear and embarrassment but the old sheep dog didn't seem to be paying them any attention. Kale had probably bribed him to keep his mouth shut or was going to give him one hell of a tip in the end.

Kale was good, the tiger's warm, wet muzzle slid along his thin shaft masterfully, if a little sloppy. A healthy coat of saliva covered the supple pink flesh and Kale kept licking and sucking away, heavy slurping sounds escaping between his muzzle lips now and then. Rios' body tensed up and the fox dug his black socked paws into the tiger's shoulder fur, his face contorted in a grimace of pleasure.

Any second now he was going to blow right in Kale's muzzle but then the taxi stopped. They had arrived at the apartment. With the vehicle idling, Kale pulled away from Rios' spit-soaked sex and dug around in his wallet for the cab fare.

"Thanks bud, keep the change," Kale grinned, handing the mutt a crisp, fifty dollar bill.

"Thank you sir!" came the rather shocked reply and Rios couldn't help but grin at the short exchange as both Kale and him slipped out of the yellow chequered taxi.

The fox quickly fastened his pants back up and moved up beside Kale. The tiger only winked at him, wrapping a paw around his shoulder as he led him into the apartment building. Though from the looks of it, the place housed full sized condos instead of singular, 1 or 2 bedroom flats. Rios let out a low whistle.

"Not bad for an apartment complex eh?"

"Yeah...what floor are you on?"

"Tenth, I'll give you a tour of my place. From the bed at least," Kale chuckled, leading the smaller fur towards the front door. Rios just shook his head, his earrings jingling slightly. What had he gotten himself into?

The fox couldn't help but smile as a shiver rolled through his body. Kale was holding him close and a quick glance downward told him that the tiger sported a package that matched his body, big and more than likely thick. A blush crept its' way onto his face, his cheeks flushing under the fur as he eyed his own cock; still rock hard.

Though that would be taken care of soon enough. It only took a few minutes and a quick ride up the elevator before Kale was sliding his keys into the lock. A quick turn of the wrist, a few creaks of metal and the heavy portal swung open to reveal a home fit for a tiger. A rich tiger at that.

The place was fully furnished, a cushiony and inviting living area straight down the hallway, complete with a massive plasma television and stereo system. The kitchen was off to the left, perfectly immaculate and pristine. The cupboards were filled with delicate looking china and at least a dozen wine glasses. Kale liked his wine apparently, and Rios couldn't help but grin at the thought.

"The bathroom is over there but it really isn't anything special. Upstairs is the bedroom and my study," explained the tiger while kicking off his shoes. Rios did likewise but he couldn't keep his eyes off Kale for long. There was just something about him that held his attention fully. Maybe it was the way his striped tail flicked back and forth, relaxed and almost a little seductive.

Rios was so caught up in his thoughts that he couldn't help but yip in surprise as Kale roughly pushed him up against the wall, pressing his muzzle against the fox's own in a deep kiss; a strong, burly arm wrapping itself around his waist while the other quickly undid Rios' pants once again. The tiger practically tore the material right off, Rios' pants and underwear pooling around his footpaws; leaving him standing half naked with a tiger kissing him deeply.

With the initial shock worn off, Rios just let Kale kiss him, parting his lips slightly so that the tiger's probing tongue could slip into his muzzle. With every breath he could smell Kale's musky, masculine scent. It was intoxicating and Rios' found his own paws gripping Kale's shoulders tightly, grabbing at his striped fur.

Kale had begun grinding his hips forward, into Rios' own crotch and the fox could easily feel his cock through the material of his pants. A paw drifted lower, trailing down Kale's muscular chest; stopping once to play with his nipple before trailing down the lines of his abs, all through his shirt. That barrier was gone though; Kale tossing it to the ground quickly along with Rios' clothing. With that out of the way, the vulpine paw hovered over Kale's belt buckle and the tiger's strong paw grabbed Rios' wrist, roughly shoving the appendage into his pants without undoing them.

Rios just blinked at the sudden, unexpected movement, but he went along with it anyway. Kale's lips had moved away from his own and started nibbling on his ear again, suckling at the chiming metal shaking about at the tip while an orange and black tail caressed the bare fur of his legs eagerly. Rios' hard on hadn't faded at all since the taxi.

Then it all stopped. Kale backed away and beckoned him forward with a paw, starting down the hall towards the staircase leading up to his bedroom. Rios followed after him, a slight blush creeping onto his face while a paw played with his own ear, the one Kale had been biting gently. He could still feel the big cat's saliva on the black tipped fur.

Nice place, Rios thought to himself with a grin, taking in the sights of Kale's apartment. The tiger had really made quite a place for himself and he wondered just how much he made per pay check. Probably way more than I'll ever see.

Bare paws chased after the sounds of footfalls on the stairway; a single lamp illuminating the passage up to the second floor of the condo. The small passage ended at the bedroom which was just as stunning as the rest of the place. Another large screen T.V, a window over-looking the best view of the city Rios had ever seen; complete with balcony. The bed itself was covered in a fine, silk-like cover that almost seemed to shiver in what little light was shed through the open window from the moon. Kale hadn't even bothered to turn a light on. The tiger simple flopped onto the mattress, having already removed the rest of his clothing.

The shallow light made him look even more irresistible and Rios found himself blushing again.

"So, you going to join me foxie?" Kale asked, beckoning him over with a paw, his smile displaying ivory fangs that stood out in the dark.

"Well, that's what I'm here for I guess," Rios replied with a smirk before slipping his shirt off. His earrings jingled slightly as the thin material brushed his ears and exposed him completely. With that out of the way, the fox sauntered over to the mammoth bed and slipped on beside his partner. He had barely gotten settled before Kale rolled over on top of him. The tiger planted a paw on either side of his head and grinned down at him while his cock rubbed against Rios' own.

"You ready for some fun then?" Kale asked, leaning forward and kissing Rios' on the lips lightly before moving lower and doing the same to his neck, then his chest. Kale continued to plant kisses all over his fur, one paw rubbing Rios' white-furred sheath and balls playfully while the other gripped the fox's paw in his own.

He could feel Kale's raw strength just by the way he held his paw. It was both comforting and a little kinky to be held like this. With Kale sitting on him as such, he could barely move and one of his own arms were trapped underneath the tiger's thick legs. Rios smirked lightly as the cat continued to play with him like this, grinding his hips forward a little so that his thick, pink cock rubbed against his belly fur; smearing preseed over it.

"Ready as I'll ever be I guess," Rios said, tilting his head just a little while his tail wagged back and forth beneath the imposing tiger. Kale just beamed at the words and moved up a bit, putting his cock right up against Rios' muzzle. The paw holding the fox's own released its grip, and placed itself on the back of his head. Rios complied obediently; muzzle lips parting to allow Kale entrance. The salty tang of precum graced his tongue as the tiger's sex slid into his muzzle a little forcefully, more so with Kale forcing him down on it. Rios was just thankful he didn't have much of a gag reflex anymore.

Kale humped into his maw slowly, the wet ring of Rios' lips and tongue sliding along his length and leaving a thin coating of saliva. Kale gave a toothy grin to him and idly tried to remember when the last time he had been deep throated was. With a mental shrug, Kale kept pushing in hard, forcing the fox below him to take everything he had, right to his crotch fur.

He would gag now and then but it wasn't overly difficult to do. Kale was fairly big and moderately thick but T.J had been bigger and done the same. The tiger was a nice change from the domineering wolf though, if only by appearances. The way Kale moved and acted thus far placed him in the same sexual mindset as his ex. Rios just closed his eyes and focused on breathing in through his nose, just letting Kale fuck his muzzle like it was his ass, pounding and thrusting. He could feel the tiger's fuzzy sac slap up against his chin now and then but it hardly bothered him. One of his own paws had finally found a hold on his own cock and begun pawing away at it.

"Damn man, your muzzle feels so good," Kale muttered as he continued to force Rios down on his cock. He watched as the pink of his sex would constantly vanish within his mouth and reappearing before starting the process all over again. Rios was hardly doing anything, just letting Kale fuck his muzzle and that was exactly what the tiger wanted. No complaints, no whining. Just an eager, willing partner to get off with.

Still, he couldn't help but feel a little bad for the vulpine, with him having just broken up with his boyfriend.

Kale just shook the unpleasant thoughts away. Rios knew exactly what he was getting into. With a dull growl, Kale continued to thrust into his waiting maw, Rios' now familiar tongue tracing along his length when it could, tickling and teasing the supple flesh as precum lubed his throat.

It went on for several moments longer before Kale finally pulled out of his mouth and slipped off of the fox's body and bed entirely, heading towards his dresser. Rios watched him curiously, a paw rubbing his sore jaw tenderly. Kale had really done a good job of fucking his mouth and he was a little surprised that the tiger hadn't climaxed from doing it so furiously.

Probably saving it for later, Rios grinned to himself.

Kale was back then, with a small plastic package in his paw and a bottle of lubricant. Rios couldn't read the name on the bottle with the half-light filtering in through the window but the rabbit on the front looked familiar all the same, from when he and T.J had been dating. The smaller item needed no explaining, more so when Kale ripped the thing open and produced the condom that was waiting inside.

Rios couldn't help but snicker lightly at the vibrant, electric blue colour of the lubed latex. Kale looked down at it the source of the fox's mirth and grinned.

"Sorry, only colour I got left."

"No worries, blue kind of suits you anyway," Rios said sitting up and taking the rubber from Kale's paw before placing it over the jungle cat's member, slowly pushing it downward with just a little difficulty. "Might want to look for a bigger variety though."

"That's what they all say," Kale replied with a roar of laughter, pushing Rios on his back with a single paw before climbing back up onto the bed with him. The vulpine grinned, irises twinkling in the moonlight and Kale couldn't help but release a purr of desire.

I certainly know how to pick 'em, he thought to himself while reaching for the bottle of lube on the nightstand. Rios looked rather sultry and definitely sexy lying on his back like that, tail swaying from side to side and brushing against his leg now and then playfully. The way the blue-white moonlight illuminated his lithe body made the fox look like he was something out of a fairy tale. Kale just smiled, cracking the cap open with a sharp pop and squeezing a bit of the cool gel-like substance onto his member before smearing some on Rios' now exposed tail hole, the fox having lifted his legs up a bit.

"Come on, put your head on the pillows or something so you don't hurt your back too much," Kale instructed while sinking a single finger into Rios' body. The vulpine groaned slightly before giving a nod to the tiger and readjusting himself on the bed, while Kale continued to finger-fuck his ass. "That's a good foxie."

"Feeling kind of tight, it's been a few days since I last did anything," Rios said, wincing just a little bit. If he was getting minor pains just from having Kale's finger there, then his cock would be even worse.

"Don't worry," Kale replied, leaning forward and kissing Rios on the neck before moving up a bit and nibbling on the clinking metal in his ear. "I'll be careful with you."

Kale smirked and pecked Rios on the lips again before helping the fox lift his rump up in the air, holding his tail down with one paw. With Rios' legs resting on his shoulders, he had a good look at the puckered hole which he was going to be pounding into furiously. A second finger slid inside now and the fox gasped. He was going to need some more lube.

Kale applied it gingerly, sinking his digits into Rios' tail hole and putting some on the inside. He was right, Rios was tight as hell but with a fair amount of lube he would be alright.

Satisfied, Kale adjusted himself once more, pressing the tip of his latex covered sex against his tail hole before applying a bit of force. Rios' body tensed and Kale stroked a paw down the length of the fox's chest, trying to keep him at ease as he pressed his cock inside.

The head slipped in with minor effort and Rios groaned aloud as Kale continued to push forward. Kale grunted as he continued to slowly ease the rest of his cock inside the lubed up passage, tight walls of muscle clamping down around the invasive appendage like a vice. Rios whimpered slightly but despite the pressure and pain, he just continued to let Kale move forward, let the tiger slip the rest of his sex inside of him.

"O-oh...fuck," Rios muttered quietly, clenching his eyes shut. His ears flattened against his head and he bared his fangs but Kale's gentle strokes along his fur made everything seem alright. Eventually, the forceful movements stopped and Kale began to withdraw from his depths, his shaft slipping free with a slight slurp from the lubrication. "God...damn...".

"You alright Rios?" Kale asked, waiting for the fox's words before continuing. All he did was nod and that was everything Kale needed to see. He placed his shaft back up against the hole once more and started to do it all over again, pushing slowly inside and giving his partner time to adjust to having his insides expanded by the tiger's cock.

The thrusts were slow and steady at first, Kale giving time for him to grow used to being stretched so, but eventually, Rios' whimpers of pain had turned into moans and groans of pleasure. That's when Kale began to pick up the pace; steady thrusts being replaced by powerful, deep movements. This was what he really wanted to do. To fuck Rios deep, hard and fast. It seemed like that's what the vulpine beneath him wanted as well. The slight smile etched on his muzzle told him so.

Probably using this as some way to get rid of all that tension between him and his ex, Kale reasoned to himself. It probably wasn't far off from the truth.

"Fuck...God that feels good," Rios said quietly in between shallow breaths for air. He hadn't been fucked like this in a long while, and T.J wasn't this aggressive in his motions but Kale was doing what his species did best. He was being dominant, feral, everything a strong tiger should be. Rios was his toy, and he knew that nothing was going to come of this, to submit to Kale like he had always done for T.J. Kale wouldn't be going out with him; he wasn't the kind of person to be tied down. Their mating was simply for the enjoyment of each other's bodies Rios knew.

There would be no intense intimacy, no feelings of love. It was simply fucking, plain and simple. It was exactly what the fox needed.

"Christ, you're so fuckin' tight...," Kale said with a grin, sweating dripping from his fur as he continued to pound into Rios' worn tail hole. They had been going at it at this pace for several long, moments. Every thrust, every motion of his pelvis sent his entire length into Rios' depths, filling him with his sex and pressing his crotch fur right up against the vulpine's rear. His sac had even started to slap against Rios' fur with each drive.

Rios never said anything. He simply wrapped a paw around his stiff cock, stroking along the precum-soaked flesh as Kale continued to fuck him deep and hard. He could smell Kale's musky odour, of sweat and masculinity. Strong and arousing. When Kale leaned forward a bit, his throbbing shaft impaling itself inside Rios', the fox buried his muzzle in the tiger's shortly cropped neck fur, breathing deep his scent as Kale nibbled on his ear playfully.

The scent; of being fucked hard by the powerful cat, surrounded by his muscled body and strength; it was all too much for him. Rios moaned aloud, nuzzling into Kale's neck as he shot his load all over his fur. His initial climax splattered against Kale's chest fur, the gooey white sticking on his ivory underbelly while the rest sputtered out onto the fox's own chest and paw. Rios groaned as his cock pulsed in his paw, cum sticking to his paw pads and fur. A content smile flashed over his muzzle before he lay back, bringing his paw up to his lips and licking it clean while Kale continued to work him over.

"Nice shot...," the tiger chuckled, thrusting in hard and fast; hilting himself with every push. Rios just grinned and continued to moan lightly. "I'll be joining you soon I think."

The minutes slipped by as Kale continued to fuck him hard before finally, a stirring in his loins and a familiar feeling in his member caused the tiger to bury himself deep inside Rios, leaning forward and kissing him deeply as he came hard inside the fox. Though the condom stopped anything from actually touching the flesh. His quivering shaft spat ropes of thick tiger seed inside before finally slowing to a trickle and stopping completely.

Kale grinned down at Rios, who smiled back shyly as the tiger withdrew from him and pulled the cum filled latex from his cock and slipped off the bed to toss it in the garbage. Rios watched him move, the way Kale strode about confidently; as if nothing could ever harm him. It made the fox wish this was going to be something more than just a fling. Yet he knew otherwise.

Rios hid his frown well as Kale slipped back onto the bed, adjusting the blankets so that the two of them could slip underneath. The big cat wrapped his arms around the smaller canine, pulling him close and Rios couldn't help but feel safe within those powerful arms; if just for a little while.

"Damn foxie...that was pretty good. Sorry if I hurt you a bit at the start there," Kale said, kissing him on the cheek. Rios blushed a little and buried his muzzle into Kale's neck fur again.

"No worries, I'm fine. It just took a little...getting used to."

"You were pretty tight," Kale said with a roar of laughter and Rios only blushed harder. "Thanks for tonight though Rios, it was fun."

"Yeah...it was."

Kale smiled at him lightly and hugged him tight before rolling over and lying on his back. "Try and get some sleep alright?"

"Sure. Thanks Kale."

"No problem."

In moments, Kale was sound asleep and Rios found himself awake; though tired. He couldn't shake the feeling of what he had just done out of his mind. He wasn't much for one night stands and he knew that this entire situation meant almost nothing; a reminder that T.J was gone and Kale wasn't interested in him as far as relationships went. He just knew it. Still, it did help him to forget the wolf, if only for a little while. Hell, Kale had even defended him against T.J and that only made him almost forget about him completely.

Who knew; maybe in the morning everything would be alright.

_Yeah...in the morning it'll be okay,_Rios thought to himself and rolled over onto his side, eyelids heavy with sleep. All he wanted to do was to just dream his dreams, knowing that he didn't need T.J and none of this had been his fault.

***

His head ached and the brightness shining in through the window didn't help any either. Rios yawned heavily, a paw covering his mouth as he stretched on the bed, the silk sheets tickling his fur as he woke himself up slowly.

There was a clock on the nightstand beside him, as well as a bottle of lubricant and an opened condom package. He knew what two of those items had been used for, though the memory was a little hazy.

Damn that sun light was really fucking bright.

Rios rolled over onto his back, after seeing that it was half past noon. He threw a paw over his eyes and groaned, regretting having drunk so much last night before he had gone back to Kale's place.

Kale!

That's right, he went to that tiger's place last night and that's where he was now. Rios rolled over, expecting to see the big cat still snoring beside him.

He was gone.

Rios blinked, his jaw dropping slightly and he sat up straight, the sheets pooling around his waist. A quick glance around the room told him that the tiger wasn't there and it didn't sound like anyone was downstairs. There was something though. All of his clothing had been folded into a neat little pile on one of the chairs in the corner of the room with a small envelope sitting on top of them. Curious, Rios dragged himself out of bed, still groggy and hung over but he fought against the dizziness and snatched up the letter and his clothes before plunking himself down on the bed again, looking at the sealed envelope with distrustful eyes.

"Did he write this?" Rios asked allowed, tearing it open carefully and pulling out the small piece of paper inside.

Rios,

Hope you slept in well enough; sorry I didn't wake you up. I had to take off early for work and I didn't want to disturb you. You looked pretty peaceful snoring away there so I figured I'd just leave you alone. I won't be back until much later tonight. So, I figured I'd write you this instead. Last night was great, hadn't been with someone like you in a long time but you have to understand. I know you just broke up with your boyfriend and might have used me as some kind of rebound but I'm not really interested in any sort of relationship; not yet anyway. I just wanted to tell you that, in case you got the wrong idea or something.

Anyway, I need to get going or I'll be late for work. If you need to, feel free to grab a shower or something before you take off. Who knows, maybe I'll see you at Sutherlan's again sometime; I'm there pretty often on the weekends.

Kale

Rios sighed, fighting back the tears rimming his eyes. So it was just as he thought it was. Nothing more than a one night stand that wasn't going to lead anywhere other than the bedroom a single time. Kale seemed to express some interest in him, but not enough to even leave a number with which Rios could call him back.

He did the only thing he felt he could do right now. Rios pushed his fears away and got dressed. He knew full well what he was getting into last night. He knew this wasn't going to lead anywhere. Kale was exactly as he described himself, a rebound to help him get over T.J. An object. Much like he himself had been used as by the tiger last night.

They used each other for their own gains.

The fox slipped down the stairway quietly, his face impassive. He just wanted to go home right now. Hopefully Marcus would be there, he could really use his best friend to cheer him up some more.

"No!" Rios barked, angry at himself for being upset like this. "There's nothing to be upset about, I knew what this was about and I went along with it. That's it."

The fox looked down at his paws and clenched them into fists before taking a deep, steadying breath. It was time to let go; to move on and put everything behind him. Rios slipped his shoes on quickly and left the apartment quietly. A quick elevator ride to the ground floor and he was on the street, shielding himself from the blinding rays of the sun.

The sky was a warm, comforting blue with fluffy white clouds drifting around as people went about their daily business. Kale lived in a relatively busy part of town and so it didn't take long for the fox to find and flag down a cab which would take him back home.

He wanted to tell Marcus all about last night and about how much better he was feeling. No bothersome wolf constantly hounding him for sex, no troubled relationship issues. Rios was single again and could choose to do as he pleased.

Rios rolled down the window of the yellow cab and draped an arm outside, letting the wind rustle his fur as it sped off towards Marcus' and his own apartment. A smile slowly crept upon his muzzle and a paw idly played with his earrings as it sped off down the street.

It was the way he liked it.
