As a beginning word, this story is entirely my own creation. The Doctor, Tardis, and all other relations to Doctor who are copyright BBC. No copyright infringement is intended. This story revolves around the tenth incarnation of the Doctor (David Tennant). Just cause he's the sexiest doctor of all time! Just in case you were wondering. These events take place just after "The Waters of Mars". *allons y (al-ons-E) means lets go in French*

Doctor Who In "The Gift of Anubis"

The Doctor walked around the Tardis control deck dreaming about adventures past. As he flipped the switch that triggered the time warp, he closed his eyes and remember the companions he's had over the past few years. Martha, Jack, Mickey, Jackie, Donna, and Rose... ah Rose, he thought, I wonder if she and the other me are married yet. Oh well she's better off with him. His look changed from happy to solemn as his thoughts drifted back to what Ood Sigma said that day on Oodsphere when he and Donna were still together. "Your song is ending soon as well," the doctor said out loud, "what ever could he have meant?" All of a sudden, the Tardis started shaking erratically. All of the sensors were going wild with readings and the doctor was recovering his balance to view the screen to find out what was going on! The screen flashed brightly as he saw that the Tardis was pulled through a rift in time and space, as well as going back, back, back in time. "1990, 1970, 1910, 800, 300, 50, what? What the bugger is going on?!" (Doctor who theme starts)

Sparks flashed and the walls started to collapse as the Doctor tried to regain control of his out-of-control ship. "Behave!" He shouted as he took the mallet from the many tools from the utility hook hanging from the console and pounded on the extrapolator. Then, without warning, the Tardis landed with a loud BANG, and all was dark . The doctor tried to get his bearings and pulled himself up with a grunt. "Well, that was fun! Must do that more often." He walked through the debris on the floor over to the computer screen, but saw it was fried. lovely, he thought. Now I'll have to get a new one. Not a big deal, but he never liked broken equipment. "Alright old girl, let's see where you have taken me and why!" And he grabbed his overcoat and made sure he had everything he needed before he walked over to the doors of his beloved Tardis. "Sonic Screwdriver? Check. Glasses? Check. Key? Check! " and with a snap of his fingers, the doors opened with a flash of light. The Doctor stepped through and found that he was in ancient Egypt! "Oh lovely! Been awhile since I was here!" ,he said with glee, "I wonder if Cleopatra is still around, or has she died yet?" In the distance he could see the sphinx still being completed, but the sphinx looked like a jackal. "That's not right. The sphinx shouldn't look like that! Must have gotten pulled through to a different dimension. You there!" He shouted at a young boy passing by, "Where is this place, lad?" The boy looked at him funny and said, "What do you mean sir?" Good, the translation circuit is still working, Doctor thought, at least that's not broken." Who's in charge around here?" ,He asked. "Why pharaoh Hamenthotep of course. He oversees the construction of the sphinx himself! He is such a loving pharaoh to his people. There he is there, on that platform." The doctor looked and saw the man the boy was pointing. The man standing on the platform was covered in jewels from head to toe. A sword made of gold hung from his belt, his hand grasping it. The headdress had the form of a jackal on the tip. And the eye of Isis was tattooed on both of his eyes. Now this man was compensating for something!, the doctor thought. "Thanks, young man." He said and patted the boy on the shoulder and walked toward the pharaoh. There were guards standing in front of the ramp, both carrying large spears. He walked toward the ramp, intent on speaking to the pharaoh. Knowing that there would be a conflict, he pulled out the leather wallet that contained the psychic paper. The guards saw the Doctor coming and immediately cut off his path. "No one may approach the pharaoh without okaying it with the steward." , the one on the left said. "Oh, alright then you don't mind me going back and telling the steward of how you both kept the pharaoh's new chief stone inspector" (holding up the psychic paper) "from speaking to said pharaoh about the new shipment of stones coming in.", he said starting to walk away. "Wait! Forgive me I didn't know you were coming today. Come with me. I'll inform Lord Hamenthotep of your arrival" ,the one on the left said. With a smile on his face, the Doctor followed him up the ramp.

Pharaoh Hamenthotep surveyed the land before him, watching the slaves working on the giant tribute to there god. "My lord?" The pharaoh turned to see one of his royal guard kneeling before him. "Yes, what is it?" "The royal stone inspector is here, sire." The royal guard replied. The Doctor peeked put from behind the wall and walked forward and kneeled before the pharaoh. "Pharaoh Hamenthotep. It is my pleasure." He said. The pharaoh cocked an eyebrow and motioned to the guard to leave. "I have heard many excuses to speak to me in my time, sir, but royal stone inspector? That is creative thinking. " The pharaoh said with a chuckle. "So who are you? "The royal stone inspector. As I said." The Doctor said holding up the psychic paper. "Do you take me for a fool? That paper is blank, and you are lying. Now, care to try again?" The pharaoh asked, a hand on his sword. With a puzzled look on his face, the Doctor said, "oh well, worth a try. I'm The Doctor. And I'm...I'm not really sure what I'm doing here actually. I just...sort of... washed up here." "A doctor? Well, this is certainly a surprise. The last doctor we had died of a disease he was trying to cure." Pharaoh said. " Walking to the table by the ledge, the pharaoh poured a drink for he and his unique visitor. The doctor took the drink and walked to the ledge and stood next to the pharaoh. All the people down below were working quickly. His eyes scanned the horizon and the land before him watching the activity below. One man up on the statue looked drunk. Then he tripped and fell to the land below. "Ooh, that's got to hurt!" The Doctor said, wincing. Pharaoh turned to the wall near the ramp and took out a small belt of supplies. "It happens." He said fastening the belt tightly around his belt. "If you really are a doctor, as you say you are, then follow me and let's see if we can help that man." "Very well!" The Doctor agreed, "Allons Y! " A few minutes later, the Doctor and Hamenthotep arrived at the man who fell from the scaffold above. The man was unconscious from the fall. The Doctor put on the glasses he pulled from his pocket and kneeled by the unconscious worker. "Well Doctor, what do you think?" Pharaoh asked. The Doctor picked up the man's wrist and checked for a heartbeat. His pulse was normal. "Ungh" With a surprised look, the Doctor asked "Hello! Are you alright? Took a right fall you did." "Yes I'm fine I.. Agh!" The worker grasped his stomach. The Doctor helped him to keep his balance and said, "Oh I was afraid of that. Looks like you broke a rib or two. What's your name?" "Auran sir." The worker replied, wincing in pain. "Well, Auran, you're lucky to be alive after a fall like that. Pharaoh, this man will be unable to work for at least a couple of weeks." Pharaoh beckoned to a couple of men standing with a carrying cloth, "Very well. Carriers! Take this man back to his home and put him to bed for rest." The carriers raced over and picked the man up very carefully and carried him away. Taking off his glasses, the Doctor had a solemn look on his face. Seeing this, Pharaoh asked him, "You are troubled Doctor. What is it?" "That man fell over 200 feet. He should be dead. And all he walks away with is a few broken ribs?", he said, "Something is very wrong here." "Now you see our plight, Doctor. Come with me. I wish to show you something"

After walking what seemed like hours, the Doctor asked, "Blimey, are we there yet?! You should at least have a horse and carriage!" "Yes Doctor we are here. Welcome to my royal palace! " He replied. The palace was very large and ordained with images of the Egyptian gods on the walls. On the rooftops, the Doctor could see archers on the rooftops of the palace as well as guards patrolling the walls and doors. "Well at least you don't have to worry about intruders, eh?" The Doctor said. "Indeed." said the pharaoh. Walking through the large golden doors, the Doctor was amazed at what he saw. The individuals inside the walls were covered in fur as well with the likeness of an animal for a head. To the left he saw a woman with a likeness of a wolf, to the right a man with the likeness of an eagle. A few children were playing and they all looked like cats! "This is exactly the kind of thing you can help us with, Doctor." Pharaoh said turning to face him. The pharaoh kneeled to pick up a little horse-child who was crying. " There there now little one. What is wrong?" "I can't find my mommy. Where is she?" The Child wailed. "She's over there. See?" The pharaoh pointed. "Thank you your majesty!" The child said, leaning over to hug the pharaoh. "Anytime Little one." "And what makes you think I can help you, pharaoh?" The Doctor asked. Pharaoh Laughed as he replied, "You really do take me for a fool don't you? Son of Gellifrey." The Doctor felt a Shock of dismay run through his stomach as he asked, "How the bloody hell do you know that?! " Pharaoh smiled and said, "Anubis foretold your arrival Doctor. That's why I didn't have you executed when I saw you step out of your...what was it called? Oh yes, Tardis." The Doctor, with a shocked look on his face, knew this was impossible. If he recalled correctly, Anubis was the Guardian of the dead, as well as the god that ushered souls to the afterlife in the event of death. The Doctor always believed that Gods were just myths and beliefs, but now he wasn't so sure. "Let's say I believe you. Where is he then?" The Doctor asked. "You wish to see her? I can take you to her." The pharaoh replied. The Doctor with a very puzzled look on his face said, "She? What do you mean She?." The Pharaoh replied confidently, " All will be explained in time. Follow me, Time Lord." "Oh joy, more following." He sneered under his breath and took off after the pharaoh.

Throughout the palace, there were animal people everywhere. In one room there was a lizard-looking teenage girl speaking with her mother about her marriage. In another, there was a parrot-woman giving birth to what looked like a ferret-morph baby. "When did all of this start?" The Doctor asked, trying to make sense of the situation. "Well it started when Nubia turned 18." The pharaoh replied without looking at the Doctor. "And who is Nubia, may I ask?" "Hm? Oh forgive me. Nubia is my daughter. She is named for our God Anubis. She turned 18 six months ago. She was the first to change. Ever since then, more and more people with animalities, which is what we call them, are showing up everywhere. They number to over 2000 now. And my palace is becoming full, so I do hope you can help us explain all this, Doctor, because my physicians and doctors, as well as our resident geniuses cannot." "But why lock them up here in the first place?" The Doctor asked. "Do not insult me, Doctor! These people are free to leave at any time. They just choose not to. I am not the kind of pharaoh who would imprison or destroy what he does not understand. The reason they choose not to leave, is because their fear will not let them. They are so scared society will make them outcasts, they stay where they believe is the only place they will be accepted: with their own kind. And in a way, I am glad they do not leave. If they do I fear it will..." "Cause a mass-panic." The Doctor finished. "Yes." the pharaoh replied and stopped at a door ordained with jewels and gold to turn to face the Doctor. "Doctor, beyond this door is my daughter's royal quarters. Ever since she changed, Nubia has not left this room, and no one but myself and her Teacher have ever been allowed inside. She is the only individual who has the form of what she is, and she is ashamed of that. One night I found her... she tried to kill herself." the pharaoh stopped to wipe his eyes, "forgive me. I just don't wish anything to happen to her." Putting a hand on the pharaoh's shoulder, The Doctor Smiled and said, "sounds like she could use a Doctor. I promise you, I'll do everything I can to help her. And I understand your feelings. I was a father once after all. Shall we?" Smiling back the pharaoh nodded and turned to the door and turned the latch to open the door. Inside there was a fountain/bath splashing water in the floor. A Egyptian guitar-looking instrument lay in the corner on the left side of the door. On the right was a wardrobe the recently had been tore open and all the clothes left on the floor. Okay, the Doctor thought, she must be a temperamental teenager. Must be careful! "One second, Doctor. I will find Nubia." Pharaoh said. Nodding, the Doctor pulled out the Sonic Screwdriver and started to do a scan for alien tech. By the south window, there were claw marks on the wall. "Blimey! That's nasty-looking. I wonder what she looks like." He muttered to himself. As he scanned by the bed, the sonic screwdriver began to beep madly. As he got closer, the light got brighter. "Hello! What have we here?" He said with a smile. He put the screwdriver away and put his glasses on again as he crouched to look underneath. He peered into the dark and tried to see. It looked like nothing, but then two golden eyes opened and peered up at him, growling. All the Doctor had time to say was "Oh Bugger." And then felt something hit him in the face, and it all went dark.

'DOCTOR!' The Doctor heard someone calling him. The voice was very faint, but he could tell the voice was that of a woman. The voice was also very familiar. "What?" ,he cried, "Where are you!" "DOCTOR!" He put his hands to his mouth and yelled, "Where are you!" "DOCTOR!" "I can't see you!" Then, a light shined through the dark and lit up a small spot in the distance, revealing a figure standing in the middle. Starting to run, The Doctor rushed to get to the figure, crying out "Hang on! I'm coming to get you! Just stay there!" "DOCTOR!" The voice was growing louder as he got closer. "DOCTOR!" After running for what seemed like forever, he finally stopped behind the woman, breathing heavily. "Now, what seems to be the trouble?" He wheezed. The blonde-headed woman, was sobbing, crying into her hands from what he could tell. The Doctor put a hand on her shoulder to try and calm her down, "Hey, it's alright. I'm The Doctor and I won't hurt you. I promise!" The woman slowly brought her face from her hands saying, "oh, but you already have hurt me, my dear Doctor." Turning around to face The Doctor, was Rose Tyler. The Doctor, pulling away, said, " Oh my God! Rose!" "Why did you abandon me Doctor? Why?" ,Rose cried. The Doctor was horrified by what she said, and replied with tears in his eyes, "Rose I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! I couldn't save you. I tried! Really I did!" Rose turned away and continued crying into her hands. "Rose, I..." , The Doctor stuttered, " I wish I could take it back but I can't!" Rose paid him no mind and continued to cry. Stepping in front of her, The Doctor put his arms around her and said, "Please tell me what I can do. Please!" Rose pulled her hands from her face, but didn't look at him. The Doctor stepped back and tried to get his courage back. "Rose, what do you want? Please tell me!" ,he begged, "I'll give anything to make it better!" He put his hand under her chin and raised her face to meet his, but the face that met his wasn't Rose's. It was the face of a Cyberman! "Anything? " ,the new CyberRose said in a cold, digital voice, "How about your life!" Then out of the darkness, all the companions the Doctor ever had, appeared all around him. Sarah Jane, Captain Jack, Mickey, Jackie and Martha, Donna, all of them! Every Companion he ever had, short term or long term, there they were. And they all had the face of a Cyberman. "No! No this can't happen!" ,The Doctor cried, "This isn't happening! Not happening! Wake up Doctor!" (hits himself in the head) "Wake uuuuuuuuup!" The Cyber Companions were upon him now, and the Doctor knew there was no escape. "I'm Sorry! I'm sorry! I'M SOORRRYYYY!"
