The world we observed was shifting every day. The balance of power was in the fate of a few. It was also a more simple time. Less action was being taken. They seemed to be more focused on breaking the system. Veemon, Patamon and I watched on.

Patamon asked, "What's going on?"

I said, "They are trying to overcome darkness. After all it's more than just some phrase it's the entire system that's come over us."

Patamon asked, "System?"

I said, "It's highly advanced. Only so few know how to manipulate properly. It's why Gatomon chose to go back. She knows how to fight the system from the inside. What makes it interesting is that need practically needs somewhat on the other side to function. Having Scourge take on that role is most interesting indeed."

Patamon asked, "Was I in it?"

I said, "Ever since you joined Scourge. There is a reason you're both here now. I find it ironic that you were chosen."

Patamon asked, "Why's that?"

I said, "If you think about it; it's like Kade is Patamon two-point-o and Yill is Veemon two-point-o. There is something else you should know. Gatomon has only ever been with you two. Gatomon and her sister made a lot of switches. She is the one that was with Gomamon way back when. Gatomon sister is the one who gave birth to Kiff. That's why Kiff is so brutal."

Patamon asked, "What about Impmon?"

I said, "Scourge, BlackGatomon, Gatomon and Impmon had devised a plan to get back to the digital world. No one side knows with the expectation of Wizardmon. If they can get Reemon to unlock the gate than his usefulness will run its course, with Reemon gone there will have to be a new dark figure. Their needs to be a balance until we can figure a way to destroy the digital world, and I can't say for certain if that will fix everything. There is still plenty of darkness here there too deal with. There will come a time when Gatomon and Impmon will be revealed."

Patamon asked, "Did I love her?"

I asked, "Her?"

Patamon said, "LadyElecmon."

I said, "You're asking me. Well I've watched it go down and still find nothing new. What happened changed when you had returned briefly? She loves you; that is without question. Gatomon never stops amazing me; she truly knows how to work around ever road block ahead of her. You fought to be with her to have Kade. I'll admit you really did screw up when you left him alone. At least Veemon was with Yill."

Veemon said, "Maybe you should stop asking so many questions."

Patamon growled, "This is none of your business."

Veemon said, "I was with her too once. I had those feelings for her same as you did. The fact is that I finally got over it. I moved on in my bisexual relation shifted to males for a bit. I noticed that I was doing that same thing with Shoutmon. And now I see it what I really am. Tikal showed me that when I returned. We didn't love her. We were obligated to mate with her. To have both our sons take over our legacies. It was fate that brought us here."

I said, "Here is where balance is needed as well. One of you must reach for darkness one more time."

Patamon said, "Allow me."

Veemon asked, "Just who are you trying to impress here."

Patamon asked, "What?"

Veemon said, "You're not used to it like I am. I've been living in darkness my whole life. It took me until that visit with Tikal to finally realize it. I let Reemon control me and sink further in. I had nothing to gain in that world anymore. I was being selfish until the end. I wanted love. In the end I never realized that I was trying to say goodbye to a world that I no longer belonged to. I was just built that way. I'm never going to want to stop having sex. Even know that urge is going to get me. But at least I've finally conquered my darkness; I found my focus. But I'm ready to step back in just like Gatomon always does. I don't hesitate and I can go in alone."

I said, "Than its settled Veemon you will sink back in."

Patamon asked, "Is that why Gatomon kept calling me selfish? It's because I never wanted to leave where I was. I did everything for myself and ignored the first who legitimately cared for me. I was so blind by the light. I was a guardian of my own free will. I blocked myself from being free. I think I do..."

I said, "No you don't."

Patamon asked, "What is it now?"

I said, "We both know at this very point that Gatomon and Impmon isn't a real thing. It's just that they work so well together that Reemon would believe it. You still want Gatomon. I think you'll get her."

Patamon asked, "What about LadyElecmon?"

I said, "Fate has its way of finding balance."

Patamon asked, "Do you know what's going to happen?"

I said, "Everything is lining up pretty smoothly. I have to admit that there were a lot of curve balls. If we attack the digital world we will have two options in the end."

Patamon asked, "And those would be?"

I said, "Survive that attack of creatures and survive that assault or go back in time and change everything forever."

Patamon asked, "Change everything?"

I said, "Wizardmon is working on a way to bring us back to the beginning. We will take out Reemon even before he starts messing everything up. We wouldn't know if it would be done until we felt a shift in our present time. The teams of Scourge and BlackGatomon and Gatomon and Impmon are going to be written here. However before any of that is done we must satisfy Reemon's wish. He is a direct link to other worlds right now. That is why they will fight. Only one team will 'win'"

Veemon said, "Sounds like a lot of complications just to fix this."

I said, "We've made it through worse. However there are several growing problems that can affect this. Those demons have finally appeared here. Them and now another group; I fear that this is only the beginning of a brutal world war."

Patamon said, "Everything has been building up since day one. That's why our having Wizardmon also create the time flux. While there fighting someone else is going to go in a fight Reemon and try to finish and change this."

I said, "Now you're catching on."

Patamon asked, "We can go back anytime can't we?"

I said, "You can only spend brief periods back there before having to return.

Patamon just disappeared. He returned to Gatomon.

Gatomon was with Impmon and she looked to see him.

Patamon said, "I'm sorry."

Gatomon said, "I actual thought it would take longer for you to get back here. There's no need to apologize."

Patamon said, "I needed to say that I really do love you."

Impmon crossed his hands, "Shut it. You'll totally blow our cover."

Gatomon said, "Don't let your big mouth keep spoiling everything. Were under the fire enough as it is?"

Patamon asked, "I'm sorry, but if Impmon doesn't love you than whom does he love?"

Impmon said, "I'll give you a hint. She was absorbed by the project. We had to cut that from him so I went all crazy. You're really slow at this aren't you?"

Gatomon said, "He still hasn't changed much."

Patamon said, "I think it will work out in the end. I'm actually glad I ended up here. The creator told me that fate was playing favors. I felt bad for LadyElecmon.

Gatomon slapped her head, "Good grief. We've been playing this game long enough. She is a good friend of mine. I was the one who brought her in to try to leave you on the outside. I didn't want you to get involved at first but you were just too persistent. She was really professional about keeping her real love life a secret. If you really must know she's with another one of our inside operatives Bearmon."

Patamon asked, "Wasn't Bearmon with Spyro?"

Gatomon said, "Spyro found a love life a long time ago with Rogue. Spyro was just good a keeping everything hushed up."

Patamon asked, "Ok, then one final question than I'm gone. If everyone was fated to be with somebody than whom was Veemon supposed to be with."

Gatomon said, "That is simple. He was supposed to be with Stitch."

Patamon finally realized, "Its Monodramon pulling the strings."

Gatomon asked, "What?"

Patamon said, "He made Reemon in the first place. Monodramon also lead him to mess up Veemon's relationship. That's why Wizardmon wants to go back and change it. I got too tell the creator."

Patamon returned to us and said, "It was all Monodramon's plan. He set us up from day one."

I said, "You really think Monodramon is evil. His case is very similar to Gatomon's. He was willing to step into darkness when no one else would. He might have created Reemon and yes that might be our biggest problem but he's not evil."

Patamon asked, "Why are you giving this creature a pass?"

I said, "Because I gave you plenty too. The biggest one being that you left your son alone. He hasn't shown his face around most parts. The darkness came close to swallowing him whole. He can barely stand the various things he's done. He's even closer to Darkness then Gatomon is. Thing is now darkness is so much easier to fall into. There's not a single creature down there that lives without darkness in their hearts. Darkness itself is like a creature that grabs hold of you. Once you're inside it seems like there in no escape. For most there is none, than there is you; you walked so blindly grasping the light. Whenever you were in the darkness you refused to believe it. You found a way to cast the darkness out even when it surrounded you."

Patamon said, "I couldn't help it..."

I said, "You felt justified. That is the one quality I know for a fact you and Gatomon share. She knew no matter what she did she believed in her heart was justified."

Patamon asked, "Even killing me?"

I said, "You're actions made her believe. You always pushed in opposite directions. Perhaps it was inevitable. If he wasn't you it would be her."

Patamon asked, "How so?"

I said, "This might be the part that gets you. That love triangle war you had with Veemon wasn't just some misshape. It was designed by humans. They thought that the game would be more interesting if they added some human emotion. The earlier model was set for it to be without question Veemon and Gatomon. However Veemon remained asleep. So they brought the original Patamon to fill that gap. When the earlier model's creator made the original Veemon wake up is where the feud began. They wanted their original relationship to be intact. The newer models who preferred Gatomon with Patamon would not just allow it. So they turned into a literal love triangle. The manifestation you guys had brought over most of those qualities over. Here's where it get both complicated and dangerous. There was a failsafe designed in the original that made it that if Gatomon and her partner died than any other world they were a part of would be destroyed. If none of you died it would have the same effect. So we need to take out two members of partner without taking out Gatomon. The humans would still have some version of an update ever from our world. They needed to see her with someone hence why she is with Impmon. To put it simply I told Gatomon to kill you to safe everyone else."

Patamon asked, "Does everyone have a messed up past like mine?"

I said, "First off you should consider yourself lucky. You're not as bad of as someone like Agumon was. Some creatures choose to fill themselves in such messes like LadyElecmon. I mean she was one of the newest creatures made before coming here."

Veemon said, "That must make Shoutmon lucky too."

I said, "No creature has perfect luck. Shoutmon is pretty close to it though. He pretty much got sent right her without changing too much."

Veemon asked, "What about you?"

I said, "I'm a very complex creature. My manifestation literally drew in the divide between you and Stitch, or I should say Reemon. Not even I could put myself into this world without problems. In a weird sort of way Reemon is like my father. And Reemon well he's just some misshape that Monodramon made. Were all connected one way or another."

Veemon randomly asked, "Why do we never say goodbye, or say I love you and mean it?"

I said, "It was my twisted complex. A few years back there was this girl I loved. I never found it in mean to say it. Nor did I ever even have the chance at saying goodbye. It hurt me badly but made me figure out that at least I have the capability of loving but I'm not sure if I'll ever find it."

I said, "Saying her real name like saying mine is forbidden. So I gave her a name that fit mine. Her other name was Gato_Angel. She truly was my love. Now it seems like a forbidden and my life is in a downward spiral. That's why this world was designed so that darkness would over power light. But light never stops fighting even if it's in a losing battle."

Patamon gave me a concerned look, "Wait a minute; are you saying that that's what Gatomon, Impmon, Scourge and BlackGatomon are heading into."

I said, "Yeah and if the four of them die at once with no hero to take their place this world will collapse which is why we need the balance."

Patamon asked, "So this is your fault?"

I said, "Almost, but there is nothing I can do to stop it now. The world is in motion and I can't stop that. We just have to know that those four are best bet at hope. If there were any four that are still there now that can turn that tides than it's them."

Patamon asked, "What's the point. Darkness will always return."

I said, "That might be true but never before have the deck been so stacked against heroes. It's four against thousands. And in the way is the darkness that is here."

Veemon said, "Those four aren't just tough but there crafty too. And there not the only ones we can count on. There are others who step between dark and light so much that it's hard to tell. Were gonna pull on no matter what."

I said, "It's just like you to never give up hope. We'll see how this plays out. The war is an about to break out. And things are going get real intense."

The sky was dimming on a new rivalry that started from a misshapen but forced event. Standing across the open plans of Iceland where Scourge and BlackGatomon and on the other side was Gatomon and Impmon.

Scourge said, "It's a shame it had to come to this."

Impmon yelled, "You left me in some fucking desert to die out alone. It's was kind of suspected this would happen."

BlackGatomon said, "It was nothing personal. We figured you'd be alright."

Gatomon said, "You just love playing the abandonment game. You think it doesn't hurt us but it does."

Scourge said, "Coming from the cat that left Patamon to dry up."

Gatomon said, "He was under you're wing. At least I never left Veemon without him being prepared."

BlackGatomon said, "So I left him. He's gay."

Gatomon said, "Correction he was bisexual but from what I understand he's dead too."

Scourge said, "Figures the blue dragon wouldn't hold. He was a hot mess far worse than Patamon ever was."

Gatomon said, "Don't you even dare compare the two. There nothing alike. Veemon was honest even when he was being idiotic. Patamon was blind and lied to my face."

Scourge said, "He's misguided."

Gatomon said, "So is Kiff. But I guess he wasn't my problem to begin with seeing that it was BlackGatomon who gave birth to him."

Scourge looked at BlackGatomon and she said, "In the end our love brought us a kid. So he's a little dark cause we left him alone."

Scourge said, "Kiff is fine now. He doesn't even know that I'm his father."

Gatomon turned to the side, "He does now."

Scourge and BlackGatomon looked on as Kiff, Yill and Natalya made their appearance at first trying to find a new target. But then Kiff was torn from the inside from the news he overheard.

Gatomon said, "Sorry you had to hear that. I guess all the secrets are out then?"

Scourge said, "It's become clear as crystal. The thing is that Reemon still our target and you're in our way."

Gatomon said, "My target is to kill anyone even thinking about trying to kill him. He's the gateway."

Scourge said, "We destroy him everything returns."

Gatomon said, "We need him to get to the other worlds first."

From the fourth side Monodramon made his long return after long seclusion. He had returned with Tails.

Gatomon asked, "What's the verdict?"

Monodramon said, "I'm afraid what you're both trying to do is a really bad idea. I'm taking back my operation and my project. The demons that had come here are now under my control. And it seems that there are other guests coming soon. This world needs to rapidly pace itself for the new future ahead. Things are about to turn one hundred and eighty degrees. All I can promise for sure is that it will all go down soon. Immortal will fall just like every other faction has. There is a new era upon us."

Gatomon asked, "Are you fucking crazy."

Monodramon said, "I've finally saw the light. They are coming and a new world order will be born. Come Kiff, Yill and Natalya we have much too discuss."

Without a question the three of the joined he and Tails and Tails said, "If you thought things were unpleasant now than you're in for the ride of your life."

They all left.

Scourge said, "Well damn that was a blockbuster. Almost ruined my focus, we came here to settle things and now we have other issues."

Gatomon said, "I don't care what Monodramon wants. I have my mission and I'm going to complete it no matter what."

BlackGatomon asked, "Even if that means going through me?"

Gatomon said, "You might have been my better before but I've become much tougher."

BlackGatomon said, "We'll see about that."

They both rushed in their claws colliding. Each taking a drastically long dash in opposite directions; when they came head to head again it was like fighting a clone. They matched up in strength and speed so far.

Scourge said, "I guess that leaves you and me."

Impmon said, "I guess so. I hope you like you're battles hot."

Scourge said, "Through the fire and flames baby."

They rushed in too.

A whole brigade of demons had made their way into the city including Zatch. The wondered this new world for the first time. Others too where warned of coming. For now it was just a mess of demons. Monodramon made his come back and now was on a new path. He brought them to Kade's old hideout. He was there expecting Monodramon to return. Monodramon had returned with the others and they all sat down.

Monodramon said, "This really has gotten out of hand. Everyone here is the youth of this world. All of you have no prior manifestation to deal with or overcome. You've all been free from the system since birth. All your past our short and have had little turmoil. Kade, Kiff, Yill, and Natalya the four of you have a gift. You all have a chance to live a normal life.

Kiff said, "Screw normal. We learned to live in this chaos. And were going to fight what we have to survive."

Monodromon said, "You should at least hear from everyone else..."

Yill said, "There's nothing no sexual driving than violence."

Natalya said, "I don't see why we should try to change it."

Kade said, "No matter what we did it wouldn't change anything."

Monodramon said, "The past is a remarkable tool. Sometimes things do change." Entering in came SeaBearmon and Gazamon and Angel.

Kade stood up and said, "Those guys..."

Monodramon said, "Back when you were Wings you lived with SeaBearmon. This was part of you memory. Back when Patamon left you. I brought them back. We can change the past in our own glory."

Kiff said, "This doesn't change much. As far I can tell these are just three worthless bodies that should have remained memories."

Kade yelled, "Take that back."

Kiff said, "I've practically killed you once I could easily do it again."

Monodramon said, "That is enough. There are staying with us."

S.B (SeaBearmon) said, "Shit talk about tension."

Gazamon said, "If we going to change things we might as well start now."

Angel said, "Let's go."

Reemon appeared, he opened the portal to the past and they all entered in.

The world had never been so quite. All the darkness that surrounded them seemed to just fade away. Our entire world went back to the dawn of time. Returning in it were outlaws of the future. The world was so much brighter. There was so much that felt false to them. Buildings had looked to be in contact with life living inside. All of it had returned to the sanctuary that it once was. Humans cheerfully lived life moving around so ignorantly blind that creatures moved among them.

Kiff said, "Clearly this is hell."

Monodramon said, "The curiosity of most creatures is what would happen if Veemon really end up with Gatomon to begin with if it would fix things. If it doesn't work we can always come back as long as we have Reemon." They moved out wasting no more time keeping hiding from every other living presence. The made their way to the mansion Monodramon lead them to where Veemon's slumber chamber. They woke him up before way before the past Reemon was getting to leave to mess everything up. Monodramon just carried him with Kiff. Veemon eyes fluttered. He awoke fully and squirmed they carried him to Gatomon's place. Monodramon said, "We have to hurry. He could be already crying his eyes out."

The forced Veemon in and barged in to Gatomon's place. Gatomon came in on and asked, "What the hell is going on?"

Monodramon said, "There's not much time to explain. But if you don't fornicate with Veemon the future will be destroyed."

They let Veemon down and asked, "What wait happened? I felt like I was living another life and now I'm here."

Monodramon said, "Veemon if you don't mate with Gatomon you will die in the future."

Gatomon said, "Excuse me but I'm not just going to mate to him."

Monodramon said, "If you don't you're future husband will die and you will be evil. In fact you will be the one to kill you're husband, we're from the future so you'll just have to trust me."

Veemon blushed, "I'll do it."

Gatomon pushed him on the bed, "You're just lucky I'm in a sexual mood."

Monodramon left them to finish. Yill asked, "If they do it this early won't that make me older than Kiff?"

Kiff said, "Maybe you won't be born at all. And that was what he was willing to risk. There's even a greater chance I'll fade away into nothingness."

Yill hugged his brother and cried, "No don't leave me."

Monodramon said, "I said we could always go back if anything went wrong."

With Reemon they went back to present time. Nothing seemed too had changed much.

Monodramon said, "Could it be that no matter what we did that the outcome would be the same."

They looked around to start to see some rather clear changes. It was like everyone had switched sides. In this version Scourge had never lost ruling power.

Yill cried, "Where's mother."

Monodramon said, "Oh fuck."

Kiff said, "She's dead this time. Scourge most had never learned to trust her and just finished her off."

Zatch came up to them looking ready to fight. Monodramon said, "I think we made things worse."

S.B said, "No shit."

A figure in the distance on top of a high building hopped down and drove his sword into Zatch and came toward them.

Monodramon said, "You've got to kidding me."

Trigger said, "Well it's good to see you again. Tell me what have to done to make this madness occur."

Monodramon said, "We have to see how Veemon turned out."

Trigger said, "Impmon killed him. Then he had his way with some human child. I image you went back and changed something around."

Monodramon asked, "How on the hell are you here?"

Trigger said, "With the world's leader dead someone had to step up. She was supposed to save us all."

Kiff said, "Maybe we shouldn't go around messing with time travel."

Monodramon said, "There is only one more thing I want to check out before we let it return."

They traveled back in time once more. This time they woke up Veemon but made him get with Stitch instead of Reemon.

They came back to the present. Monodramon looked back to see Reemon was the only other creature with him.

Monodramon said, "This is bullshit."

Reemon said, "I suppose I did everyone a favor."

The earth was a wasteland. This was the worst one they had seen so far. It was ever creature for themselves. They ran into Patamon who was alive in this version.

Patamon stopped and pulled out a spear.

Monodramon said, "Wait stop; were not you're not you enemy."

Patamon said, "I've heard that one before. Now get ready to die."

Monodramon asked, "Where Veemon damn it?"

Patamon said, "The blue dragon is a ghost. He came here and left and never came back."

Monodramon asked, "Where's Gatomon?"

Patamon said, "I killed her."

Reemon said, "Holy shit now there's a shocker."

Patamon asked, "Any other names you going to toss around?"

Monodramon asked, "How about Scourge?"

Patamon started trembling and said, "He is a god. Don't you ever try to say his name again. He could kill us all if he wanted to."

Monodramon said, "This is hopeless."

Reemon said, "You can try killing Veemon in the past."

Patamon asked, "The past?"

Monodramon said, "We are from the future. Well a different future anyway."

Patamon asked, "And you could change this?"

Monodramon said, "We could."

Patamon asked, "Could I come with you."

Monodramon said, "I don't see why not."

They went back to their present to regain everyone else and try again.

Kiff said, "What's he doing here."

Monodramon said, "He's from another future one you weren't apart of which was even worse."

They went back again this time ending the life of Veemon.

This time only Yill was gone.

Kiff asked, "Yill?"

Monodramon said, "Its ok we can get back as soon as we figure out how this time turns out. It's clear that Gatomon never mated with Veemon but still mated with Scourge."

Agumon came toward them and yelled, "Escaped prisoners."

They were grabbed before they could escape. They were brought to King Scourge and Queen Gatomon.

King Scourge said, "So you don't kneel before you're king. Such treachery is usually not tolerated but since it's only Monodramon and his friends I could make in exception."

Monodramon asked, "You know me?"

Scourge said, "You once helped me conquer lands with me and Impmon. But you both felt like you could do better on your own lands. So, how's ruling other parts of the world anyway?"

Monodramon said, "You have me confused. I'm from the future. We came here to see the result in the early death of Veemon."

Queen Gatomon looked at Patamon and asked, "What are you doing here?"

Patamon asked, "You again?"

Queen Gatomon asked, "Are you trying to treat me like another commoner. I am you're queen."

Patamon said, "I killed you."

King Scourge said, "This is getting rather annoying. You either shut your mouth or I will kill you all."

Monodramon quickly said, "Just release us so we can go back to ruling our country."

King Scourge said, "Very well."

Reemon quickly made a portal; Agumon was pulled in from the vortex and was carried back to the normal time.

Kiff said while hugging the returning Yill, "I think that's enough of going back."

Monodramon said, "I could go back one more time and stop myself from creating Reemon."

Reemon said, "If I don't exist..."

Wizardmon teleported next to them and said, "Trust me the result will still be bad. Believe it or not the time we live in now is the best were going to get it at. I already looked without Reemon there would be no Veemon's awakening. The war would escalade the same way it does every other time. But without Veemon to turn over anyone; everyone is lured to evil. Creatures destroy the very world they were put on. If you did it you wouldn't be able to go back. You'd die in deep space."

Monodramon said, "So my original theory was right. We need to keep Reemon safe from harm and not to be used as some teleportation device."

Patamon disappeared as time was working on fixing itself. Agumon quickly followed.

Monodramon said, "Thank god those two are gone."

Yill said, "Time travel is scary."

Kiff said, "Will the others ever stop?"

Monodramon said, "There is a war in any version we play out. If they get the chance they will want to see it for themselves. Explaining that will be nearly impossible, since we broke away from both sides."

Yill asked, "So were not 'good guys' or 'bad guys.'"

Monodramon said, "This is how my entire life has been since such a young age. And now you are all here with me. This is about the hardest job there is. Being in-between at all times."

Meanwhile Gatomon and her sister where matched in combat for now several minutes. Scourge had been the better but Impmon wasn't that allowing Scourge to get the upper hand. In the heavens we were watching this all go down.

Patamon asked, "So that's what Monodramon has been up to?"

I said, "He sure knows how to cut things close. He's knows just as well the others that it's his job."

Patamon asked, "Is this just a huge smoke screen?"

I said, "There needs to be balance. They all know that and have known made there mark. The other world will be colliding with us sooner or later and we have to have our balance or they will end up joining them. They have to keep it up until they arrive. Only when the other worlds are gone will we be able to return to a life of peace."
