SoulKeepers Chapter 5

Windy ran as fast as she could, hoping that she would make it in time to talk to montage about her little problem. Windy had a bad feeling that something was very wrong as she ran through a meadow which was covered with flowers. I hope nothing's wrong in SoulWorld. Because if there is.....were in trouble. Windy swallows hard as she runs faster not knowing she was heading straight for trouble that she was trying to avoid. As Windy approaches the SoulGate, Windy gets a horrid surprise. The SoulGate was covered in blood and bent in many places that it made Windy shiver in fear of what was behind the gate. Windy swallows hard trying not to throw up as she notices that there were no SoulGaurds around. SoulGaurds normally stayed at the SoulGate to let in SoulKeepers, SoulCatchers and also visitors if their worthy and holy.
Oh my god! What happened? Where is everyone? Maybe they were throwen out by the SoulThieves....maybe but for now I must push on._Windy carefully goes through the bent up SoulGate to get an even bigger surprise that was horrible to even hold back her nausea. All over the ground was nothing but bodies of SoulKeepers and SoulCatchers with souls here and there. Blood covered the ground as Windy couldn't hold back any longer and throws up all over the ground before her. _Oh god.....what have we done to deserve this?....ugh! I don't think I can take this any longer. Windy slowly breaths as she looks around at the bloodshed before looking at the SoulTemple to see that it was nothing but ashes. The tree leafs were all charcoal colored with the trunk an ashy white. Windy's body went rigid when she saw the state of SoulTemple.
Oh no! I hope montage is still....alive_Windy with her heart pounding against her chest runs inside the temple to find a horrible scene. On the left wall where Hell Gate was where the Demons and Minions flow all around freely as the shove the angels back into heaven's gate which seemed to be sealed off. Over at the high desk were the soul priests. All dead and lay there with their eyes gaping open. Windy recoils backward as she stares at them not seeing montage in the mess. _Ugh! So nasty but what happened? Why'd they die a horrible death? Did something go wrong when take on a sinful soul? Maybe but I have to leave its too dangerous at this point. Windy quickly heads out not wanting to cause any attention to herself. Once outside, Windy tries to make a plan when she hears a growling noise coming from her right. Slowly, she turns to see a nasty being gnawing on the neck of a SoulCatcher that happened to be a wolf.
The being looked like a cat but it's body showed nothing but muscles with no fur covering to keep its body safe from anything, making it more vulnerable to other animals. Its tail had a long blade on the end with spikes going up along the tail to its back. Its eyes were nothing but black empty sockets, to show that it could be blind. The cat-being looks up from its meal and gives a low growl before glaring at her with its ears laying flat against its head. Windy tried not to panic as she watched the cat slowly prowl forward with its tail lashing. Okay windy you need to concentrate here okay? Stay calm until it gets closer that's it-Whoa! Suddenly, three beings fly
from out of the sky and knock the cat-being over to the side. _ Demon? Angel? And who's that?_ Windy watches as Demon with another black Windragon that looked awfully like Ranshiin except he had long hair like Shiron and his vest was open. He also wore blue jeans as he bites the cat-being's neck making it howl in pain. Oh god I hope this ends soon.....we might create too much attention. As the being struggled Demon quickly grabs the neck with a loud snarls before snapping it making the cat not move anymore. "Nice work Brandon" "thanks Demon you know you haven't change one bit have you?" Demon laughs as Angel sighs in relief to see her sister's priest form was gone and saw also she was back to her adult form too.
The black Windragon now named Brandon walks over to Angel and kisses her gently making Windy wonder. Is she with him? That's shocking I thought she was with Blaze.....never mind I won't even worry about it. Windy shakes her head as she asks Brandon (who was still mouth locked with angel) of what that thing was. Brandon breaks his kiss with Angel before answering "that thing is called an "Uka" and Ukas love fresh dead things, especially after a battle like this. But if the place is nothing but if there are just bodies with no living things then I'm afraid they will mark it as their own home and live here for eons." Everyone gaps as they stare at Brandon like he was kidding but they knew he wasn't. "Are they all the same?" "No, Ukas can take on many forms of nature and well as you can see it has a nasty side affect." He nods to the dead Uka cat.
I still don't understand why did everyone die? This is soo bad! What are we going to do? I mean it's not like we could lure blood without his minions. Or can we? Hrmmm....._Demon thinks about what Jewel had told her not that long ago about seeing blood when he raided her village with his minions, that he had a red gem in shape of a heart on his chest. Demon smiles as she had a plan that could save not only their lives but also the world. "Guys I know how to get ride of blood but it will take some time to do some very sly planning." Windy looks baffled as Angel stares at Demon. "How?" Demon grins as she shows them a heart shaped red jewel that would rest in blood's chest. _What is it? Is it perhaps his heart? If so then we may have a chance of killing him. But the only problem is how do we lure him to where we can kill him? We would need bait but oh god don't tell me Demon's thinking of- "here's the plan, Windy will be the bait" Damn it! I knew she would say me "to lure him since he only wants her and then we'll kill him! Once and for all. Any questions?" Brandon lifts up his hand looking rather annoyed. "Yes?" "Can we leave here first? So as not to become oh I don't know Uka food?"
Demon nods as she quickly tells everyone to meet over at Atari village where it was safer to make plans for blood's death. "Rayne, windy and I will be a team. For Brandon and Angel you'll be a team. Now let's move before-" "before blood finds you?" everyone looks up in shock to see Doctor Jackal up in the tree grinning. Windy's eyes widen as she remembers him.
Windy's Memory
Windy remembers exactly what he said to her to make her feel better about not knowing if she could become a SoulKeeper. Doctor Jackal smiles before showing a tattoo of a black dog that looked Egyptian on his arm. Windy looks up in awe at the tattoo. "I got this tattoo when I well met a SoulThief that looked like a Jackal. I won after beating it and got this to show I had indeed slayed a SoulThief by myself."
End memory
Windy stares as the SoulDoctor holds out his arms to hug Windy. "What I don't get a hug?" Wendy smiles as she tries to go to him but Demon stops her as her eyes narrow. "Who are you? Your not Doctor Jackal, he died just two hours ago. I'm not dumb I felt his soul go to heaven where it needed to go." The man grins before howling at the sky as he turns into a devil like being also known as blood. Windy felt her blood boil as Demon growls at him. "Leave now or pay the price." Blood laughs as he glares at them. "And that would be? What death?" Demon growls as she steps forward not scared. "Fight me then, if you're not scared. If you win I'll give you my life but if I win I get yours." Blood grins at the thought. "Deal, now let's play."
Demon roars as she takes off onto the air and punches Blood in the face as he kicks her in the stomach. Ugh! He's strong but if I can just get that jewel. Demon throws another punch at Blood but he simply was just too quick for her. Damn! There just has to be a wa-aghhhhh! Blood punches Demon in her stomach making her cringe in pain. Blood jumps back as Demon throws a claw at him but misses. How long can Demon keep this up? Not that long, he seems to strong for her.......Come on Demon you can do this! We're all here for you....just try to kill him. Windy was worried for Demon's safety because of how much power Blood has, that's much bigger compared to Demon's. Angel watches Demon throw a hard breaking jaw punch at Blood causing him to stumble a bit. Oh Demon be careful please. I don't want to lose you like before! Oh god please give her strength to live....please Angel prayed for Demon hoping that she would make it through this. Seconds later Demon had blood dripping from her jaw as Blood had some nasty gashes as he roars. "NOW IT'S TIME TO END IT! HRAAGHHH!!!!" Blood flies at Demon as she does the same accelerating fast across the sky. Demon pulls her knife out and holds it out of sight so blood didn't see it. I hope what is about happen works.....because if not Angel a single tear drops down her face as she closes her eyes for brief moment thinking about her sister. Remember me....Rayne you too.....I love you all....good bye forever. Demon opens her eyes and snarls as she collides with Blood, Demon takes her knife and slams it into Blood's red crystal heart making a sickening loud crack.
Everyone on the ground stood in shock as they watch Demon smile in victory as the jewel breaks in instant causing Blood to watch in pure shock as Demon twists the knife making him roar in pain as Demon whispers in his ear. "It seems I win Blood, your mine know hraaahhhh!" Demon throws Blood toward the ground as everyone watches in astonishment. Once hitting the ground, Blood gets up gasping as he tries vainly to pick up his heart pieces and tries to put them back into his bleeding cavity to no avail. Suddenly the ground shakes making a fissure in the middle of the terrain. Blood's eyes widen as he tries vainly to fix his broken heart. "No please! I need some more time! Please I beg you!" The large Demon that looked like the devil comes out of the fissure and walks calmly over to blood. "No! Master please! I'm sooo close! Sir please no!" The Devil doesn't say anything as he stares at Blood with his yellow eyes before holding out a hand to him. Blood freaks out as he vainly tries to crawl away, seeing this angers the Devil so he grabs Blood's legs and takes him to the fissure. I did it....Blood's gone but ugh the wound....oh god help...I please.... Demon moans as she fell out of the sky and to the ground as Blood screams out in fear one last time before being taken into the fissure as it seals up like nothing had happened. Everyone gathers around to hear Demon breathing softly but they knew she was dying. With tears in her eyes, Angel holds Demon up on her chest as Demon lays a firm paw on her face. "Angel you take care okay?" Angel nods as she cries. "Yes I'm fine but don't leave please. I need you" Demon smiles as she looks at her sister. "Sweetie I have to leave okay? But don't worry I'll be back really I will. But for now I must go." Angel shakes her head as she chokes on her sobs. "No stay Demon please." Demon smiles as her eyes close before saying "take care of yourself." Demon lets the rest of her energy leave as her body goes limp in Angel's arms.
What's this? It's just like before but I can open my eyes now. But what's this light I see?......did I die or am I dreaming and I'm sleeping in SoulForest with angel next to me. Maybe......let's find out......_Demon slowly opens her eyes to find herself looking on the side lines with everyone around her body. _What the? What happened? Did I really die like I had feared? It has to be.....because Angel's crying like everyone else.....and that also must mean that Blood is truly gone.....I sacrificed my life for them.....and now their safe from harm....wow......but why am I crying? I should be happy for them.....but yet I'm not because I'll never see them again. "That's not true Demon." Demon turns around to see a beautiful blue wind fairy watch from a distance. The fairy had white silver like hair with robes that looked of a priestess with her legs covered by her gown. Demon startled stares at her. "Wha- what do you mean? And who are you?" The fairy smiles as she walks up to Demon. "Why I'm your mother Fiara, Demon and your father was montage who wishes to see you." Demon's eyes widen in pure shock as her father montage comes out of nowhere smiling to her.
Demon with tears in her eyes runs over and hugs both of her parents. "Mom! Dad! Oh my god!" Demon cries into their shoulders until she couldn't anymore. Fiara lays her hand on her daughter's head smiling. "Dear it's time you head back. Your body has recovered fully now." Demon looks at her mom Shocked. "R-really? But I won't be able to see you ever again." "Not true dear. Listen to me, you'll see us again when the time is right. Okay?" Demon nods as her parents begin to fade as they say one last thing to her. "Demon awaken." Demon opens her eyes to find she was in her bed at Atari Village and could hear a commotion downstairs. "Damn it Blaze! Sahara has the right if she wants you to be her mate or not." "Well I love her so there!" Demon hears Jewel scowl before she sits up to find Rayne fast asleep on her legs. Demon smiles as tears fall down her face as she pets him on his head until he wakes up. Rayne doesn't see Demon as he says something very sweet. "Oh demon you were so funny, fun, cute, brave and uh ah wonderful." Demon giggles making Rayne look at her surprised then extremely happy. "Demon is that really you?" Demon smiles as she kisses him deeply. Rayne kisses back not wanting this wonderful moment to end.
The epilogue...
2 years later...
Near Atari village where it was peaceful, was a small hut with small children running about. Demon walks out of the hut with her stomach round as if pregnant as a small Dragoness that looked just like her except her hair was pulled neatly back into a ponytail. "Mommy? Can we play tag?" "Of course Jessie but be careful kay?" Jessie nods as she runs off to play with some other kids as they run about playing tag. Demon laughs as she sits down in a chair with a grunt. Jewel come out holding a small baby in her arms that was wrap up in a blue blanket as she joins Demon to watch their kids play. "Isn't he cute? He looks just like his father." Demon nods as she looks down at jewel's newest child. His name was Rocky and he did look just like his dad but didn't have the cap like his dad, but had his mother's hair. "FLAME! THAT'S CHEATING!" both mothers lift their heads up to see a blaze dragon kid that looked like his father Blaze use his powers on Jessie who was it apparently.
"Flame no cheating please!" Flame glares at Demon before retorting. "You're not my Dad!" "No but I am and you listen to Demon!" Blaze walks out of the hut looking very angry. Flame quickly nods before going back to playing. Another small Dragon that looked like Brandon comes out looking very bashful with his hair tucked in a pony tail while watching his friends play when his Father (Brandon) and mother (Angel) comes out smiling before nodding to their son who looked up at them with wide eyes. "Go on Ashes you can do it. Just go easy on them kay?" Ashes smiles before running down the stone steps and to where the kids were playing. Blaze shakes his head as Rayne comes out smiling. "Hi love" He kisses Demon softly before sitting next to her. "So when are you and Rayne getting married?" Demon giggles as she looks at Jewel. "That's my secret." Jewel laughs too as the kids played and played until the sun went down. During that time All Demon was thinking in her head was how wonderful it was to raise a family without any danger, yes to Demon this was what a life for a retired SoulKeeper needed.
