Emil and Tenebrae had finally came to where Aqua and she looked down to Tenebrae and said "Spiteful Tenebrae? What are you doing here?!" Tenebrae ignored her and said "Let's go." Aqua saw that she was being ignored and looked at him with a more angry look and said "If you think that you can get pass me-" Be fore she could finish, Emil grabbed his blade and said "Enough! Now move out of the way!" Aqua looked back at Emil and said "Oh yea or what?" Emil pushed his sword next to her, but she didn't flinch and blocked it with a ball of water the was big enough for the sword to not hit her body and she jumped back, Emil pulled his sword back and jumped, doing a back flip, and landed behind Aqua and use the back of his sword to hit her behind the back and she feel to the ground, now knocked out cold, Emil eyes turn back into blood red and he looked around to see that he had just defeated Aqua. He looked back at Tenebrae and said "What just happened?" Tenebrae looked up to Emil and said with a smile "You just defeated Aqua." Emil shook his head and looked behind him to see the door that Aqua was blocking and said "Well anyway, let's go." Tenebrae shook his head and said "I agree." They both went to the door and tried to open it, but it seemed to be sealed from the other side and Tenebrae looked around and said "I feel a draft. I think there's another way." Emil looked around and said "There's nothing here but this door and some moss." Tenebrae looked surprised and said "Use your sorcerer ring." Emil tilted his head and said "Sorcerer ring?" Tenebrae shook his head and pointed to Emil's index finger and said "It's right there." Emil looked at his paw and saw the Sorcerer's Ring and got surprised and said "What the- When did this come on?!" Emil looked at his whole body to see that he had different clothes and said "What happened to my other clothes?" Tenebrae looked back and said with a chuckle "Only the darkness knows." Emil had a worried look on his face and said "Come on if I don't have those clothes Aunt Flora's going to kill me!" Tenebrae looked back at him with a serious look and said "Now is not the time to think about this. We have to save Marta." Emil remembered and shook his head and said "Ok what do I have to do?" Tenebrae pointed to the moss and said "Point your ring at this moss." Emil shook his head and pointed the ring and got surprised when the moss had caught on fire and when it stopped there was a button.
Tenebrae went to the button and pressed it, a wall suddenly opened and Emil looked at the wall and said "There's a pathway let's go!" Tenebrae shook his head and they both went into the pathway. Once they went into the pathway they both looked around to see that there was more than one way and Tenebrae let out a sigh and said "It seems like where stuck now." Emil looked at the two pathways and said "Well I should go on the right side and you should go on the left." Tenebrae looked at him with and impressed look in his face and said "I'm really impressed, Emil. Ok I'll go on the left side." Emil blushed and looked away and Tenebrae just chuckled and ran to the left pathway while Emil ran to the right pathway. Emil looked around and saw that he was now trapped behind one monster and another in front, he let out a smile and said "Do you really think that you two could stop me with that?" The monster didn't hear him and they both charged at the same time and Emil jump, making them hit each other, he pulled out his sword and landed next to the monster and sliced the ground ,saying "Daemon fang! " His sword sent out a white flash come out of the ground and hit both of the monster and killed them on the spot and said ,putting his sword back, "That was to easy." Emil continued to walk while his eyes turned yellow again when he walked. Finally, Emil had came out of the pathway and heard clashing of swords again and looked up to see something he had never seen before. Marta was pushed to a wall, while a blue fox with two swords on his paw and a red coat was in a stance of one boot in front of the other and the two identical swords face upward, Emil looked at the blue fox with an angry expression and said "Is that you Lloyd!" Lloyd looked behind him to see Emil and said "Who are you?" Emil could feel his anger swelling up in him and said "My mother. . .My father. . .Everyone in Palmacasta. . .Why did you have to kill them!" Lloyd looked to the ground and said "Not Palmacasta again." Emil drew his sword and pointed his sword at Lloyd and said "What do you mean again?!" Emil charged at Lloyd and Lloyd jumped back to where a yellow like tear was standing and charged at Emil with both of his swords on each side. Emil did a spin and clashed his sword with one of Lloyd's swords and Lloyd use his other sword to try and slice Emil's chest, but Emil moved back and dodged the slice, Emil came back with his blade on the ground and said "Daemon Fang!" The white slashed hit the ground and Lloyd jumped up and landed back on the ground near the tear and sliced the ground with one of his swords and said "Daemon Fang!" He use his other sword and spun around and his other sword hit the ground again and said "Double Daemon Fang!" Emil looked at the two slashes and saw that one was blue and the other was red and he blocked him, putting his sword to the ground, the slashes hit the sword and pushed Emil back, making him hit the wall, his he looked back at Lloyd, who was walking up to the yellow tear and suddenly, he fell unconscious.
Once Emil had woken up he saw that both Tenebrae and Marta was right next to him and Lloyd was gone and he said, rubbing his head, "What happened?" Marta picked Emil up and said "It seems like Lloyd didn't kill us." Emil shook his head and Tenebrae looked at Marta and said "Marta! Lumin's Core is gone!" Marta looked at Tenebrae with a surprised look on her face and said "What really?" She looked at where the yellow tear was and said "Dang! where did it go?!" Emil looked at them and said "Lumin's Core? You mean the yellow tear that Lloyd took?" Marta looked at Emil and said "Are you sure?" Emil shook his head and said "Yea I'm positive." Tenebrae said "We need to find Lloyd and quick Marta!" Marta shook her head and said "Yea but first. . ." She looked back at Emil and gave him a smile while blushing and said "Thanks for saving me again, Emil." Emil blushed and looked away and said "I-It was nothing really. I was pretty much useless." Marta giggled and said "No you weren't . You became a Knight of Rataosk to save me right? So thanks for helping me." Emil looked back at Marta and said "Well, like I said, It was nothing." Tenebrae cleared his throat and said "Well anyway, we must go and catch up with Lloyd before it's too late." Marta shook her head and seemed annoyed with Tenebrae, but said "Your right. Hey, Emil, Can you help us out of here." Emil shook his head and said "Oh ok I'll help you." He looked around and asked "Um, Marta? Where is Richter?" Marta looked at him and said "Oh that's right! Once he saw Lloyd he fought with him but got badly injured and limped out of here to find Aqua." Emil shook his head and said "Oh, Ok." All of them continued to look. Finally Emil and Marta had seen another door at the other side and ran to it, but when they both touched it, it didn't opened. Marta let out a sigh and said "It seems like Lloyd locked us in." Emil looked around and saw a poster and pointed to it, saying "Hey look over there." Marta and Tenebrae looked at where Emil was pointing and walked over to it. The poster had a badly drawn picture of Lloyd that said "The Jewel Hunter, Lloyd." Marta looked repulsed when she saw the poster and said "Emil burn this poster. Now!" Emil hesitated but shook his head and pointed his ring at the poster and it burst into flames. Once the flames died down, they had seen a button and Tenebrae walked over to it and pressed it, making the door from the other side open. Marta, Emil, and Tenebrae saw the door open and Marta said "Good the door opened! Let's go!" Both Tenebrae and Emil shook their heads and they all walked out of the cave.
Finally all of them were out of the cave and back into the light where the birds chirped and the wind blew softly. Emil turned around to see that there was a lot of rocks next to the cave and said "What is this place?" Marta turned around and said "This was a place where the Chosen and her friends came to on there quest of world regeneration." Tenebrae closed his eyes for a second and open them back up and said "I can feel only a fain presence of Lumin's core. It seems like Lloyd had escaped from our grasped this time." Marta looked a the ground and said "Oh. It looks like we lost him then." She looked back at Emil and said "Well we should get to Luin." Emil shook his head and said "I agree." And so, all of them headed to Luin. Once near Luin, Tenebrae and Marta stops and Emil looked back and said "Um what's wrong?" Tenebrae looked at Emil and said "Come here Emil I want to tell you about Rataosk." Marta sat on the ground and said "Yea come one let's talk about him." Emil went to Marta and sat next to her and finally, Tenebrae sat down and said "Ok Emil, What do you know about the Giant Kharlan Tree?" Emil thought about it and sigh, saying "Actually I don't know anything about it." Tenebrae sighed and said "Well let me explain, Many years ago there was a giant tree that was named the Kharlan Tree but then suddenly, after some years, it withered and died. The world that grew strength from the Tree grew insane and tore the world apart until, The boy named Lloyd Irving and his friends went and planted a new tree so that the world could be one again. It all seemed fine, however, people still face problems with the climates changes. The spirit of the old tree, Rataosk, had still existed somewhere in slumber. And when Rataosk was slumbering the world was set into chaos." Emil shook his head and said "Ok I understand." Marta pulled her hair up and showed the glowing symbol on her forehead and said "This is Rataosk and he is-" But before she could say anything else, Emil said "T-The Daemon lord?!" Tenebrae let out a sigh and said "He is not the Daemon lord. He is the Lord of Monster and the Lord of the Centurions. He is a summon spirit of the Kharlan Tree. He is the one who called upon us, the Centurions to help him with the Mana in the world. But, since he is asleep, So are the Centurions except for me and Aqua and since the Centurions are asleep, the Mana in the world is off balance." Emil shook his head and said "Ok I understand." Tenebrae let out a soft smile and said "So now that we got the basics down, Let's head to Luin." Emil and Marta agreed and they all got up and went into Luin.
Once they were in Luin they looked round and finally, Marta said "We should go and see the Mayor to find out of Lloyd had stopped here." Emil shook his head and Tenebrae said "I'll go and ask if any has seen Lloyd." Marta and Emil shook their heads and they both walked away from Tenebrae. They were finally at the Mayors front door and were stopped by a wolf with gray fur and red eyes and looked taller then both Marta and Emil, having on a black and yellow long shirt and pants with golden claws on both of his paws. They were two other wolfs that were shorter than him but had the same clothes and fur on them. The taller Wolf said "There you are Marta!" Marta looked at them but with a displease face and he continued "Commander Brute would like you to come back to the Vanguards." Emil got surprised and said "Y-Your with the Vanguards?!" Marta didn't look at Emil but at the taller wolf and said "Sorry Hawk, But I'm not going back I'm not going back with the Vanguards." Hawk looked at her and snarled saying "Fine then well take you by force! Take her men!" The men saluted and the charged at both Marta and Emil and the battle began.
