"Finally lessons are over and I can go to sleep." the door to my room, if you could call it that it was more like a monastic cell, creaked loudly as I opened it. My room is about 12 ft by 12 ft by 12 ft it has a small bed in the left hand corner a dresser to the right and a small desk in the left corner toward the door and on my bed sat a therian. "What the heck why is there a therian in the city let alone on my bed" I thought. I tried to speak but nothing came out of my mouth and it spoke first. "Hello young Renny my name is Nathaniel and it is a pleasure to meet you, we have much to talk about" it added at the end very menacingly, then laughed as I turned white "sorry about that I just love to scare you humans you turn the most interesting shades of white, now to business, as I have said my name is Nathaniel please do try to remember it I do not like being called "the fox" ok?" it asked. All I could do was mutter something about it not supposed to being here again it laughed a laugh that seemed to echo across the world happy but scary none the less. "Now as I said we have a lot to talk about firstly how much do you know of the deviation?" it asked. This time I actually said something. "I know what they teach, the deviation was the day when several million people changed into six more races the therians, the fey, the elves, the elementals, the shape shifters, and the vampires. The deviation was caused by god he turned all those who were evil into these lesser races and all of there children would be evil and corrupt." I replied remember the words they had drilled into us as children. "Ah so you got the popey version or to be more clear the version the pope and there minions want you to hear. You see the deviation was not in fact an act of god but an act of his angels. There were six of them and each created one of the races you just mentioned. They did this to try to help humans understand diversity unfortunately there experiment backfired it caused even more prejudice. The other races as you put it are not corrupt and evil, they are just like you they have a choice. Now on to the next part have you heard of the Seven?" "Yes" I mumbled. "Good" he replied "do you know what they are" "yes" I mumbled again "they are a group of Seven one of each race each very powerful who bound themselves together and are trying get equality for all but they also are like terrorists they destroy buildings and I heard that one of there members is able to control the blizzards and snow, freezing the guards in his tracks as he walked into the popes private quarters to talk to her." "Good and bad" he said almost to himself "well you know what we are trying to do but you... are you ok. Renny you look like your about to be ill" as soon as he had said we I know he was one of them and that scared the hell out of me, to be sitting across from one of the most powerful people in a hundred mile radius probably larger and I had turned deathly white. Weirdly enough he actually sounded sincere as he asked if I was ok. "Y...your one of... one of them the Seven?" I finally asked. "Yes I am one of the Seven sorry that that scared you so much if I had know it would distress you I wouldn't have said it, well unfortunately I need to leave the mages have finally sensed me and they are coming here to capture me and I'd rather that not happen have a good nights sleep Renny I'll talk to you later.

I left the boys room in a flurry of snow, a fun little magic trick I learned way back when, and appeared outside of the mage academy. As soon as I appeared the guards started to converge on me, sooner then expected just like the mages the new pope must be training them better, "halt therian scum" one of the guards yelled at me, he looked to be a captain or maybe higher up not high enough to recognize me on sight it appeared though this could be great fun "me? Whatever could I have done to anger the guards" I replied sarcastically though very politely. "You very know well what you did, therians are forbidden from being inside the city" he replied angrily. "So angry young man, whatever could make you so mad at me you don't even know who I am, but I'm sure if you did you would probably hate my guts, would you like to know who I am." I asked. "you're a therian that's all I need to know" he replied coming toward me, his sword drawn " now come with me quietly and you'll be alive when they send you back outside the city". "My name and title young man" I said completely ignoring his anger and sword "is Nathaniel one of the Seven, bringer of the blizzards are you sure you want to come after me, even with a sword." He, like Renny, turned pure white at mention of me being in the Seven, such interesting shades they can change into. Humans are so fun to scare. He spoke a couple of short words pointed his finger at me and flame shot out "crap he's a mage I just had to anger the mage guard didn't I, I couldn't just anger the normal one nooo I had to make the one with magic angry at me." The flame hit me and covered me in burning fires melting me into a puddle of water. Woops sorry that wasn't me it was a copy made of ice. I was already about half way to the sanctuary. About a minute later I stopped right in front of a huge canyon and stepped off the edge appearing inside of a small room with a door to the right. I walked out of the room into a bigger one the walls were much higher and made of stone, the floor again stone had a pit in the middle with a fire in it outlining the symbol of the Seven the same on I had on the inside of both my wrists. After I sat in front of the fire to warm up a little, Lilith walked in, dressed in the most flamboyant dress id ever seen her wear. Her hair up in a ponytail, her face and skin were a light shade of grey and she blood red eyes. She always made me feel like an urchin I had on a loose tunic, wristbands with a fox motif on them, and cloth trousers yet she always could make me feel like I was wearing rags. "How is my sister, queen of the damned" I asked. "Tired Nathaniel very very tired and annoyed you promised to read a bedtime story to greythorne, she has waited for you an hour." She replied. "I'm sorry I truly am I'll go make it up to her with a story with... um really good... um theatrics". "For your sake they better be the best theatrics ever or your niece will kill you and drink your blood". She said. "Nah she wouldn't do that I have horrible tasting blood you know that". I replied, then got up and left before she could say anything else and went to give greythorne her bedtime story.

As soon as the fox therian had left two mages burst through my door wielding flaming staffs, they made sure I was ok and left to sweep the grounds to makes sure he wasn't there. A couple of minutes later one of the higher up mages came into my room and asked if was ok. "Kinda, it was just really scary to be that close to a therian and then to find out he was one of the Seven it was terrifying." I replied. " now I need to know what did he talk to you about" he asked "was there a reason he came to you specifically to you" "I don't know why he came to me" I replied " and he asked me about history he was about to correct something when he left because of the guards." "Ok if you need anyone to talk to I will be in my office ok Renny?" he asked. "Yes sir if I need something or remember something I will tell you" I replied. "Good now follow the guard right here" he indicated one of the guards to the right "he will take you to a new room for you to sleep in so you can relax that he will not find you." I followed the guard to the new room and went to sleep. The next day I had classes as normal but for some reason they were shorter and we got to go out into the city with our spare time. When I got outside I realized why the classes were shorter it was (unspecified holiday) the day when the god king of old banished the lesser races into the outlands. I went to one of the small restaurants to get some food. After I had sat down and had started to eat it began to get cold becoming colder with each passing moment and the people began to slow down. All of the sudden everything went from slow to stopped, nothing moved. The birds in the air didn't flap, the river didn't flow and the fires didn't flicker. A voice called out from the alley next to me. "As I have said Renny we have much to talk about and I will not let something as insignificant as time stop me from talking to you again".

After I had gotten greythorne to sleep I went about my usual routine of the putting the symbol of the Seven everywhere I could reach the night before (unspecified holiday) to scare the living daylights of everyone who saw them, Childish yes but fun as heck. I only did this about 3 hours before the sun started to rise and I had to get back to the sanctuary. As I walked in Elias was sitting next to the fire reading a random book. Elias was the elf of the group tall thin and always wearing robes and of course reading. He looked up from it and said "so how many did you put up tonight" about 200" I replied. "Nice" he said "any plans for the day now that the night has been spent" he asked. "Actually I need to go find the cold spell for time freezing do you know where the Book of Ice is" I asked. "Actually yes it's on the top shelf of the rightmost bookcase in the room of records" he replied. "Thanks Elias enjoys your book". I said as I walked toward one of the doors. It took me about 30 minutes to get to the room because of how big the sanctuary is. From what I remember it is 6 miles long I know it's big for a base but it used to be something else. When I finally got the spell memorized and could do it correctly I headed to the city in an invisibility spell "I love magic". When I got into the city I walked around for a while watching peoples reactions to the signs and there festivals. Later in the day I found what I was looking for Renny just sitting there alone at a table at a restaurant. I traced the runes I need in the air said the words required and the spell worked. After I let him be confused for a second I walked out of the alley and spoke to him.

As soon as I heard the voice I knew it was that therian. I turned to see him walking toward me his eyes were glowing a dark blue, flickering in and out of sight almost like a mirage. "what do you want therian" I yelled trying to be brave" "ah so brave my young friend yesterday you cringed every time I moved now you yell at me" he said "and as I have just said I was not done talking to you lets take a seat shall we wouldn't want to food to be wasted" it said indicating the seat I had been in eating before. "Now a question do you know why most people are afraid of the Seven?" It asked. "Yes your evil and powerful that makes people scared of you" I replied confidently. "Nope they fear us because of the battle of the rishe plains." He replied. "What's that the battle of the rishe plains I've never heard of it?" I asked. "The battle of the rishe plains was the idea of the old god king about four hundred years ago." It replied "It was supposed to be simple they wanted to destroy our sanctuary and they thought they had enough men to accomplish this feat. They had over ten thousand men. We reduced them to about 1/100 of that number in around twenty minutes and killed the god king. Afterwards since we had used a lot of our power up we went into a slumber for 350 years to regain our power. Lilith, queen of the vampires watched over us as we slept for she herself did not have to and that is why you humans fear us. Because we killed over 9000 men and the god king of old in a ten minute period." Oh my god how could they be this powerful no living entity should have been able to do that. I thought as he finished. "What do you want with me" I asked. "Well it's actually quite simple as you know the Seven is comprised of Seven members one of each race" he replied. "Yes of course everyone knows that." I said. "Well the symbol of the Seven usually grants immortality to those who wear it, but for some reason it does no do this for humans and the present human wishes to die soon so we must go looking for a replacement each of us in our own way." It replied. I was shocked not only that the Seven were immortal everyone just thought that they replaced the older members with younger members of the race but also because he had just asked me to join them. "Why me" I asked. "That simple" it replied "you are of the bloodline of that has always been the human member. You are the closest we can have to a younger version of the present member." "Wait you mean one of my family members is one of the Seven" I asked astonished. "How could I have not known?" "Because he has hidden it very well and I will not tell you who it is. Also I need to go you have learned enough for the moment see you tomorrow Renny." He said as he got up from the chair. All of the sudden the flickers that had been present the entire conversation began to have less time between the periods of invisibility and those periods also began to grow longer until he was gone. 30 or so seconds later everything stared back up again although slowly as if it was thawing itself out. I also felt a lot warmer than I had. Tomorrow great is he going to visit me everyday. I walked back to the academy but before I reached it three guys dragged me into the alley threw me against the wall and threatened to kill me if I didn't give them all the money I had. I was about to shoot lightning at them when a feminine voice from down the alley yelled "Leave him he is under the protection of the Seven". They all just laughed at the women standing in fancy dress at the end of the alley. Two of them walked toward her knives in hand saying that for interrupting them she would be raped, as they grabbed for her instead of resisting she actually leaned in like she was giving them a hug. She then bit his neck hard and blood began to drip down his neck. After he fell, the other backed away but he was to slow he also was bitten and fell to the ground. Before the last thug could get away she went from where she was at one end of the alley to right in front of him as he ran 20 meters away and caught him by the neck twisted her hand and snapped his neck. She went over to me and asked "are you ok Renny, my name is Lilith another member of the Seven my brother asked me to make sure you got home safe." "I'm fine but you're a vampire aren't you." I asked. "yes I am in fact I am the queen of the vampires now enough questions go scoot up to your school you'll be safe and sound there which will make my job much easier. Have a nice night and goodbye." She said as she disappeared into the shadow. I ran as fast as I could back to my room in the academy, shut the door and put every ward I could think of on it so no one could get in while I tried to sleep.

After I was done talking to Renny I went out of the city and into the outlands, toward the dwellings of the therians. The lands outside of the capitol city is surrounded by the domains of the other five races, vampires lived inside the city for they were hard to spot, there are other cities and towns around the capitol but the farther away they are the more tolerant they are of the other races. In fact I had to walk thru one called Balthmar a small town on the road to the dwelling I was looking for. In this town most people know and like me, mostly the kids because every time I come thru I give them toys made of ice that will never melt. Today very few of the kids came to get toys I went over to a group of the adults to ask if anything had happened. They said there had been a papal decree that anyone associating with a therian was to be killed. I left them lest they be accused of said crime and left the village before any guard or inquisitor noticed me. It took two hours to reach the settlement of therians. There I got a much warmer welcome. Shouts of welcome, hugs from friends, the giving of frozen toys to children and orbs that would take away the heat to the adults for the summer months. After I had done this a small raccoon therian came up to me and asked "is it true that you got into the mage academy without them knowing?" "Yes tyreal I did" I said to the young therian, he always loved it when I came I would tell him stories and give him little magic trinkets I had found on my travels. He always heard when I did things that would be considered great. "So did you have a good trip to the shape shifters territory?" I asked him. "Yes it was so much fun to see them they would change into the most fun things one of the children kept changing into different versions of me" he said excitedly. "Good I'm glad you had a good time, and here is your trinket for the week. It's a cloak of phase shifting it'll let you walk thru wall and turn invisible added to the other things I've given you, you can pretend to be a ghost and scare your aunt with haunting noises." I said as I handed him a pure black silk cloak that was just his size. "Cool, thank you, how did you get it in my size I'm tiny." He asked putting it on. "I am Nathaniel member of the Seven getting a cloak that can change its size is far within my range of abilities" I replied "now I need to go, have a nice week ok?" after he left and went to no doubt cause mischief I went on to the rishe canyon. It used to be the rishe plains but the there was the battle and now there is a gouge in the ground. When I got there I walked off the edge into the sanctuary and went to Talisian the elemental of our group for I needed a great favor. When I walked into his room I was blow back a little by the heat of the flame part of his room. His room was divided into four parts one of flame one of water one of air and one of stone. I was scarcely able to get onto the stone part before the fire hit me again. "Hey Talisian I need a favor I'm willing to trade a frozen nova for it". "Wow" a voice said seemingly from everywhere "a frozen nova you must need a really big favor."

"They have gotten far, this Seven, I must do something about that don't you agree simile" I asked the small child walking next to me in the gloom of the city night. "Yes we should shouldn't we" the child spoke in a demonic voice its mouth no always synchronized with the words. "Do you always have to get little girls it makes me think you're a pedophile". I asked it. "Of course I don't" it replied "but a little girl is so much more unsuspecting so what do you want to do about this Seven." "The same thing I did to its predecessor". I said back to the child thing. "I will take each of them and kill them slowly draining their soul away from them, corrupting them until they are my slaves just you like you simile, do you remember the Seven's predecessor simile? They were so easy to kill but I saved you for last and did this process to you, now the once powerful simile wearer of a thousands faces is mine". "I remember I always have I hate you with every iota of my being but I must fulfill your wishes" it replied "now where were we, ah yes we were about to go murdering correct?" "Yes then off to plan their death just as yours was." I replied.

After a night if fitful if any sleep I snuck out during a period between classes to go see an old friend of mine. Unfortunately almost the moment I got down the steps a voice called to me "Renny is it really a good thing to skip school, your parents paid a lot for it" it said. I turned around ready to make an excuse when I found myself facing a person, no a thing made of ¼ of each element its right arm was fire left water, right leg earth and left was air. I was struck speechless this was an elemental not only that but an elemental with no focus, those were the most dangerous for they could use any of the four and their connections. "I know it's a lot to see and as you have probably guessed, at least I hope you have already guessed I am a member of the Seven. Nathaniel asked me to take you on a journey to help you understand our way of thinking to break you of the popes hold. He would have done this himself but he had to go see a friend of his." He held out his hand to me "come young Renny we must leave soon if we are to arrive late." It said. "Arrive late, how can we leave soon and arrive late and what are we going to" I asked my tongue finally untied. "as to how we can arrive late time is mutable at least to me so if I want to bring you late we must hurry for the temporal disturbance is only here for so long, as for where we are going we are going to the time of deviation so you can see why we do what we do." It said "now grab my hand or when this happens you will be flung out of time, by the way I am not a "thing" my name is Talisian." "Fine" I said as I grabbed his hand, almost the moment I did it was like we were in the middle of a maelstrom things flew past incredibly fast and then it all fell still and I felt like I was still spinning. "Breath young Renny or your going to throw up" it said holding me up so I didn't fall onto the red grass, wait that isn't red grass its bloody grass. "Where are we" I asked still gasping from the journey. "The same place we were, it is not where we are that you must worry about but when we are".

After I had convinced Talisian to go show Renny what he needed to see I went over to Lilith and told her I would be gone for a bit. "Nathan we are all used to your disappearing acts by now you don't have to tell us anymore" she replied. "Nathan? You haven't called me that in over four hundred years. Does that mean I can call you lily also as to why I am telling you I feel like something bad is about to happen." I said. "No you may not call me lily and have fun with whatever your doing. Also has it healed yet" she asked "no not yet I told you I've tried everything and you don't have to worry I'll be fine lily." I replied "one don't call me lily and two you're my older brother I'm allowed to worry about you now go before I decide to hurt you for calling me lily." She said shooing me out. As I walked out into the night it felt good to be in the darkness and cold. I always loved the cold even before I knew what I could do. As for the darkness I loved it too. I was heading toward the therian dwelling I usually only visited once a week or so but I felt drawn here tonight. When I was about a mile away I started to smell smoke could the place be on fire, hope not. However as I got closer I saw the red glow of fire and heard the screams of the dying. I raced into the village to see it covered in flames soldiers killing at random all the therians present. For the first couple seconds I was shocked but than the anger came to me, a cold anger one that could freeze the sun. I began to wade into the battle freezing and shattering every soldier I could find. Somewhere in that time I had picked up a sword and had now began to slice them into pieces. This only lasted about ten minutes after all but one were dead I froze him up to his head and left to go see the wounded and try to help. Out of the 189 therians living here only 57 had survived. As I moved among the dead I saw a familiar face "Tyreal no you can't be dead, why?" I asked I went back to the frozen man "who sent you" I yelled at him digging my claws into his face my eyes burning an intense dark blue "tell me now or I swear to whatever god is up there I will give you to the vampires to be drained bit by bit for the rest of your existence which I can lengthen to hundreds of years so TALK" he talked in a small voice a voice of someone terrified of what they saw "the pope, she sent us she said that they were friends of the Seven". I left him told the people to do what they wanted to do to him and turned toward the city "where are you going Nathaniel" one of the therians asked "to the bloody pope to kill her and anyone else I can reach. I left immediately for the city moving with blinding speed all the while a storm cloud raced behind me, covering the land in blizzard. As I reached the city gates I noticed the ground under me had began to freeze just from me touching it. The guards tried to stop me from entering but I just waved my hand and sent them thru the great oaken doors killing them both and allowing me entry. I had similar experiences with other guards but instead of throwing them I just froze them solid freezing them so deep that even their blood was ice. It took me five minutes to reach the palace of the pope. This time instead of throwing people thru the door I just took out a silver sword sheathed at my back hidden until now "azurewrath" I whispered to the blade it immediately burned a deep blue. All I did was make one small slice in the air. The door in front of me went flying backwards into the hall more guards gathered there. I went thru them like a hot knife thru butter all lay dead at my feet in seconds. I walked thru the palace killing any guard stupid enough to try to stop me. As I walked everything frosted over behind me, all water near me froze and the guards' swords turned brittle. When I got to the popes office I knocked down the doors with the sword. Inside were three mages of fire denoted as such by their red robes. They began to yell incantations but with a wave of my hand they were thrown thru the window and dropped down 5 stories to the ground. The pope stared at me completely calm. "why have you killed my guards Nathaniel rush" she asked calmly "because I can hardly kill you with them in the way" I said while staring at here with glowing blue eyes, the only light in the room other than azurewrath. "And why would you want to kill me Nathaniel" she asked completely sincerely. "You know why, you sent a squad of soldiers to kill a settlement of therians." I screamed shaking the building with the magic boiling in me waiting to be released just as it had been over four hundred years ago. "They killed defenseless children. You gave them the order therefore you are responsible and I will do all in my power to make sure you suffer before I kill you." "The killing of therians, children or not is hardly a reason to kill me" she replied still calm. "The killing of any is evil" I yelled "unless in protection or retribution of another. And you killed them just because they knew me and for that you will die." "Then do it Nathaniel, kill me torture me try it if you can." She replied. "Gladly" I said drawing every bit of power I could manage pulling power directly from the Seven drawing power from the life in the plants for miles around and directed them at the pope. There was a huge flash and what sounded like the ice of a glacier cracking followed by the sound of an avalanche. When the flash was over I saw a hole going thru 5 stories of the building and at least 500 meters down into the ground where the pope was. "wow all that power, such use it could have" a voice said behind me, but before I could turn there was a sharp pain above my head and then everything faded to black and in the background I heard laughing.

I was walking into the main room when it happened, the fire that marked our power flared up to the ceiling and fell to a small flame, at the same time I felt my brothers power calling to the plants and animals for miles draining them of there life force for something. Then I truly felt it, a release of power bigger then had been released for hundreds of years. "Oh my god" I said to myself then went running to find nicadaemus the shape shifter of us "nica did you feel that" I asked "yes I did what has he done" he asked "I don't know but I know it was big and I can feel his burning wrath at someone, whoever he did this too he hates them so much he would throw them to the nether beasts, we need to find him if he's used that much power people are bound to notice and he is going to be powerless for at least a week after that, and we need to get him back here." I replied. "Agreed we'll get Elias and we will go get him." With that we found Elias told him what happened and left to the city.

After the affects of the time travel had worn off I looked around. We seemed to be in a small clearing with trees surrounding us. Also surrounding us were dead bodies of all races. "Where... sorry when are we" I asked. "We are about 78 days after the deviation." Talisian replied. "As for where we are this is one of the few places that are not fighting right now." "Why are we here" I asked "what possible reason could there be to bring me here." "Simple I am showing you the cruelty of the humans to the other races." He answered. "Why are you showing me this"? I asked. "Because you need to see it" he answered again "now follow me." He then started walking thru the trees. When we broke thru to the other side I could see a village in the distance. He was walking toward it quite quickly as he was walking he began to change in form going from a swirl of elements to a human. "How did you do that" I asked. "Later I will tell you" he replied "for now look into this town what do you see." I saw no one it was completely empty and most of the buildings were in ruins. "This used to be the home village of Nathaniel. He and Lilith were alive long before we were they have been alive since the beginning me and the others were born about 500 years from now. He has never told us how he lived that long before the rune of the Seven. I have brought you here so you can see why he formed the Seven and why we need you to join it." As we walked thru the town I noticed a small movement to our right "wait who's that" I asked "that would be Nathaniel and Lilith don't worry they can't see us and we cannot affect this time." He replied "they are hiding from the humans who still remain." "Why are they hiding? I thought they were very powerful" I asked a little confused. "Not right now. Right now they are children about 14 and 9 years old. Did you think that they were always as powerful as they are now in our time?" He said "now let's get going there is more to see then just them what you need to see is why Nathanial is doing what he is doing." "What do you mean, what is he doing." I asked. "Right now in our time he is trying to kill the pope" he answered. "Kill the pope he's insane she has so many people protecting her not even all Seven of you could get in" I replied bewildered. "He is going to kill her. Nathanial is usually very calm and care-free but some things set him off and when that happens it is best to just stay out of his way. Because whatever he is after is going to be killed she slaughtered a settlement of therians where one of the people Nathanial cared very deeply was. He died in the attack and Nathanial saw him. At this point he has already breached the inner sanctum so yes he is going to kill her. Now on to the present situation that man right there" he said indicating a man shifting thru the chaos "is their father and about 2 hours ago he tried to kill them" "what, why would he try to kill his own children" I asked. "Because they are lesser races and deserve to die, isn't that what you thought to back before we met." He answered with another question. "It was different back then. I thought they were evil but after Lilith saved me it kinda threw my world view. Now I don't know what to think" I replied. While we were talking the man finally found them. He tried to drag Lilith out but when he did Nathanial's claws unsheathed and he slashed at his face tearing out at least one of his eyes, grabbed Lilith and ran away. "As I have said if you attack that which Nathanial protects he will act violently. This is what the deviation caused humans trying to kill their children because they thought they were evil and vice versa." He said after the spectacle. "Why do you call him Nathanial why not Nathan? " I asked "because he asked us to you see his father was named Nathanial also and his mother would always differentiate them by calling the father Nathan and he hates to be reminded of his father. If I remember correctly after he had gained some power he came back to talk to his father. It ended almost the same way except an eye was not all that was lost by his father." He replied. "He killed his father" I asked. "No he took away his mortality so that he would have to walk this world for the rest of time forever barren never being able to have children." He answered "now you have seen that which you needed and it is time to go back to our time" he said as he held out his hand to me. I took it and the swirl of colors and space happened again bringing us to the present. We arrived at night right were we had left. Just as we did there was a huge explosion coming from the popes office "that would be Nathanial we should get you out of here" Talisian said as he picked me up and started to fly up "what are you doing, where are you taking Me." I asked I hated heights to be honest. "one taking you to someplace safe, two I am taking you to the sanctuary of the Seven then I am coming back to get Nathanial." He answered as we gathered speed, the countryside beneath us look blurry as we passed it. Finally we landed next to a canyon. "I need you to trust me Renny." He said "to get in you must step off the canyon wall into the abyss." "WHAT are you insane that'll kill me." I yelled, my voice echoing off the canyon. "Trust me Renny just step that's all it takes here watch me" he said as he stepped off the cliff and disappeared. Unsure if I should do it I followed appearing in a huge room with a floor with a carving of the Seven's symbol, fire burning in the carved pieces.

"Thank you pope for letting me use you as bait" I said to the middle aged women in front of me. "Why your welcome, thank you for removing Nathanial from the playing field" she replied "but I don't know how long you will keep him as such". "I have had much experience with people like Nathanial" I replied as I picked up Nathanial, we had tied him up with mage ropes shadowed cloth for a blindfold and at least three very powerful binding runes traced into the knots of the rope. "I should be able to not only keep him off the playing field on the Seven's side I might even be able to get him on ours" "now that would be impressive" she replied stepping out of my way as I headed for the door "have a good night and good luck". I stepped out of her office and walked out of the palace quickly for the spells would wear off soon and I would no longer look human. Without the spells I normally looked quite spectacular. I am a demon but unlike most demons I had to take the form of one of the lesser races when I entered the mortal world. I chose the form of a dark grayish looking wolf therian with dragon wings usually I would wear gothic attire with a wide brimmed hat with a razor on the edge. After I had gotten out of the city I tore off the spells and flew to my haven, an active volcano (cliché sure but it reminds me of home) once inside I found simile sleeping as a cat on the floor next to one of the lava tubes. After I set Nathanial down on a bed in one of the other rooms and had locked, spelled, blocked, and put a rune of backlash (any spell or magic used against the door would be turned against the caster) on the door I went to my room, a dark depressing place. very little in the way of decorations save one, a small magic drawing of my brother Arma and me standing together watching a village burn to the ground it was made over 200 years ago. I walked in took off must of my cloths laid down in my bed and began to think of the tortures in store for the fox in the other room.

The first thing I noticed after waking up to pitch black darkness and silence was a slight rumbling and that I was tied up. I have been in much worse, wait no these are mage proof rope and runed. Wow someone really wants me to stay still ok so I can't see, I can't move, I think I can hear assuming there is no sound other wise I'm deaf too. Let's try astral projection. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh" I yelled "damn that really really hurt ok no astral projection either. Ok lets think no moving no seeing no projecting no hearing and lets see if I can still use my magic" I could feel the temperature drop quite quickly "ok I can still use magic but not on the ropes or to see or move. Well with nothing to do lets try to send a flare of cold hopefully whoever caught me didn't think of that." With that I began to create a blizzard one that would cover the sky for miles hopefully one of the Seven or our allies would see it. A couple seconds after I had done that I heard a door slam and a string of curses (some of which I didn't even know of, got to remember those for later.) coming toward me. Then there was silence and the charge of magic being taken down. The door opened and someone walked in, I could hear them breathing I don't think I've ever heard someone breath with such hatred I know it's an odd way to describe breathing but I could hear the hatred in it. "well it looks like I'm going to have to torture you tonight instead of tomorrow hope whatever magic you did was worth it." A voice said the same one that had talked before I had been knocked unconscious. Torture wow never had that before hope he isn't good at it nope can't hope that he probably is this is going to hurt so much. Well at least I can hope that one of my allies have seen the blizzard.

As me and the rest of our little group made our way into the capitol city we found it in total chaos. Apparently something very very big had happened at the pope's palace. We made our way thru the crowds; it was actually very easy mostly because of what we looked like we hadn't bothered with hiding spells and we looked as we were an elf a vampire and a shape shifter. We went to the palace and found over half of it was gone "that was most likely what Nathanial did" nicadaemus said from behind me. "Yes I'm sure that was him but where is he now" I asked "if they had captured him everyone would be where he is so someone else must have gotten to him first." "Good point" Elias pointed out "whoever captured him didn't advertise it." "Lets go find him then" I replied "first lets talk to the pope she should know especially because she is most likely the person who made Nathan so mad". We walked up to the stairs in the front of the palace. We were almost immediately stopped by guards who after seeing what we were dropped away like shadows. We made our way up to the pope's office or at least what was left of it and found a young acolyte picking up around the gaping hole in the building. "Young man" I said as I walked in "where is the pope". He almost died of fright. I could hear his heart speed up until it was fit to burst. "She's in the library" he said almost at once trying I guess to appease us so we wouldn't eat him, not that we would have done so but our reputation precedes us. As we walked into the library the pope turned to see us and went snow white. "My god, this was much faster then I thought you would respond and even then I thought you might just send a minion but not come here in force. How many of you are actually members of the Seven. All of you" she said as we all stared at her. "yes young women we are all members of the Seven and we came in force not only because it is a member of the Seven you have captured but also my brother" I replied "now tell me where he is or I will walk out of this palace gather every vampire in a mile radius and descend upon this place and destroy it". The silence stretched on and on. No one made a move. Then with surprising speed for one of her age the pope grabbed a staff from the wall wreathed it in holy fire and advanced on us.

After we had gotten in we were greeted by a small glowing figure with dragonfly wings. It spoke very quickly and in a language I didn't understand to Talisian. "Ah that's quite strange and quite bad" he said to himself then turned tome "it seems that Nathanial has been captured by some one". "How do you know he has been captured?" I asked. "Simple a huge blizzard has appeared over an active volcano a blizzard that was conjured by very powerful magic. Magic that happens to belong to Nathanial. He is not one to create that powerful of a magical construct without some serious need so he must be in trouble. So me Tim here and you are going to go find him." He replied "now go into the room on your right down the hall it holds very old and powerful mage staffs one of fire should be in there somewhere." I did as I was told and walked into the room. The second I had passed the threshold I could feel the power. It was intoxicating so much power all the things I could do with it no I need to get a fire staff and leave. I selected the weakest one but even that one was extremely powerful compared to most staffs. As I walked back into the main room I found Talisian wearing armor made of some sort of energy and Timothy wearing armor made of leaves at least I think they are leaves. "Now let's go Renny" he said as he turned but stopped as he looked at me, the staff had put a type of magical armor around me. "You look so much like your grandfather when he was younger." We walked into the center of the fire symbol Talisian said some words and we left the sanctuary behind. As we had left I felt a feeling of belonging leave me. When we landed (closest thing to what actually happened. It felt like we had fallen.) We found ourselves standing in front of a volcano surrounded by a blizzard. It was actually quite a sight to behold to see such power of ice and fire so close to each other. As we advanced toward it a small shape started to run toward us. As it got closer it looked like a small child. I first thought that the child was frightened or lost. All of that thought disappeared as the child's form blurred and twisted and standing in its place was a huge dragon.

I had just finished torturing Nathanial leaving him blooded and bruised; it's what he deserved for waking me up 5 mins after I went to sleep when I heard simile roaring outside as a dragon. I left the room where I kept Nathanial walked down to the ledge where I had flown in and saw a fury of elements attacking the dragon, All four of the elements attacking different places at the same time. I also saw two others standing in the background. One I recognized as Timothy the fey member of the Seven. The other was new to this. I could tell he was human but other than that I had no clue who he was or what he could do. I jumped down into the battle. Almost immediately Timothy went after me attacking with the plants around him as a suit making him my size and quite strong. Soon after the human child started to use a staff to shoot lightning at simile and it actually did damage to him. Simile recoiled from the lightning and elemental barrage changed into the wind and zipped off leaving me without help, typical of the lesser races to run at the thought of losing Soon after the other people began to fight me Timothy in close range the other two at long range. I dispatched Timothy very quickly, just a small fire spell to burn the wood off and a quick punch which given his tiny size most likely knocked him out. Next I turned my attention to the elemental Talisian. He proved to be harder to hurt but luckily I had worn the rings my brother had given me and they let me control elements so I fought fir with fire and so on until I had taken him down too. Lastly I turned toward the small child flinging bolts of lightning at me with the staff. I took my hat off of my head and threw it at him. It cut the staff into two equal parts. He stared at me completely fearful. I advanced slowly toward him but before I got to close I heard a rustle behind me but before I could turn to see what had caused it I felt piercing pain run thru my back and then around my spine and heart. "Tell me where my brother is right now or I swear to any god up there I will rip your spine and heart out thru your back" a feminine but very cruel sounding voice snarled at me. "Your dear brother is disposed at the moment" I replied completely confident that she wouldn't o it no women could be that heartless. I felt a tug and then a rip and then nothing at all as the world faded to black."I warned you" the voice said distantly.

We were all shocked for a couple of seconds. Who would have thought the old lady had it in her. Elias stepped forward to fight her but I pushed him back and said "it's my brother we're looking for first off so I will take care of her. Second go try to find him I can handle her. Both of them having seen m fight before left and went looking for Nathanial. I ran straight at her teeth claws and hidden daggers out. She reacted quite (yes I know I use this word a lot deal with it) quickly. Dodging me and almost hitting me as I passed. As we both turned to face each other I threw one of the knives sinking it right into her shoulder, dang my aim is off I was trying for the head. She grabbed the knife yanked it out and threw it to the ground then she swung the staff straight for my head. She missed by an inch and spun around with the momentum of the swing as not to be unbalanced by missing. I threw my other knife but this time she caught it with the staff. It melted almost immediately. We circled each other for a couple of seconds before she made the first move. This time she tried to stab me with the flame which had shaped itself as a spearhead. I dodged it and grabbed her neck twisted my hand and snapped her neck. A couple of seconds after I had drained every last drop of blood from her a dragon came crashing thru the wall. "What the heck, really I kill the pope now I have to kill a dragon great." I yelled after it showed up. Its form shifted and blurred until it took on the form of simile (FP Lover). "Oh my god it's been so long what are you doing here. I thought you were dead." I asked. "As you can see I am not dead. Nathanial just let everyone think that so I could go and watch for any people we should watch for. It was also because I had had enough of the constant fighting and sneaking. I just wanted to drift so I did until I found a demon named Geddon (Kayuubi) he thought I was still a member of the Seven and he blamed Nathanial for his brothers death he tried to corrupt me. I let him think I did and I tried to slow him down but I couldn't. He just kept coming toward him. He took him out to the venrasus volcano." He replied very quickly "he is fighting the others right now so go I get the ones you brought with you." I left as fast as I could, which is very fast since I'm a vampire. I reached the volcano in under a minute. As I reached it I saw someone about to kill Renny. I went up behind him and before he could turn sunk my hands into his back grabbing his spine and heart squeezing them. I then gave him the choice of telling me where Nathanial was or I would kill him. He unfortunately did not listen so I ripped out his spine and heart. I went up to Renny and asked him where Nathan was. He told me inside of the volcano. I told him to wait here and take care of Tim and Talisian until the others got here. I walked into the cave that had been the demons hideout. I sent out my senses for Nathanial and found him almost immediately. I ran into the room where he was and found him bound, gagged, bruised, burned, bloodied, and missing a piece of his ear. "Nathanial, Nathanial listen to me. Wake up please wake up" I pleaded as I untied him and held him close to me. "You're safe I have you and you have to wake up." I could see him crack open ne of his eyes, weirdly neither of them had been touched. He tried to say something but all that came out was a small whine one you would hear from a dog after it was hurt. I picked him up and walked out of the cave to find the demon standing up holding Renny in one arm and a sword pointed at his throat in the other. He was standing in front of the others and had yet to notice me so I put Nathanial down very slowly and reached into his belt grabbed the small stick in it. "Azurewrath" I breathed the stick turned into a pure silver sword wreathed in azure flames. "Hey asshole." I screamed at the demon "drop the boy and fight me". "Fine" he replied letting go of Renny. "One condition I win I get to keep Nathanial, you win and I will leave you forever". "If I win you wont be alive you bastard" I yelled back. The others picked up Renny and stood back. Geddon (aka the demon and ??? for those of you not paying attention) pulled at a sword also and we stood ready to fight when everything just stopped. None of us could move. "If anyone will be fighting for Nathanial it will be me" a voice said from behind me. The person walked up in front of me and I saw Nathanial completely healed. "So same rules, right? Ready." The demon shook his head yes "good then lets begin." He replied taking the sword from me. "I will explain everything after this I promise but abide by the deal ok?" he whispered as he took it from me. "Fine" I replied "but it better be one hell of an explanation and you better win." He stood back up, walked in front of Geddon whispered a word and the sword burned even brighter and they began.

He began the torture by picking me up and tying me to a chair on this chair where many runes and symbols of weakness and harm, they would most likely make me unable to fight back great. After he had me tied down he went over to the side of the room took a tray brought it over to us set it down on nothing but still stood in the air when he let go and pick a small needle off of it. "This, Nathanial is something called a bone needle. You place it into the bone of the person you want to do harm to and it melts into the bone burning it from the inside out." he said as he took the needle and had it pointed at my forearm. "This first one will go as you have guessed into your sword arm so if you do escape you will find this arm useless." He pushed it into my arm until it hit my bone. At first it hurt very little but then as it sunk into my arm it started to burn worse then anything I had felt before. I tried to move or scream but found I couldn't, I couldn't do anything I must have misread one of the runes. The weakness rune might have (omg 10,000 words) been a paralysis rune. Whatever had happened I screamed silently in my head as he placed the next one into my left arm and then into each of my legs. The pain from each of them kept coming never stopping. "Next we will use something called a bruise bandage" he said picking up small pads of cloth. "When these touch your skin they will immediately cause enough force to hit you that it will bruise hence the name bruise bandage." He applied them up and down my torso and limbs until almost my entire body was bruised and sore. Next he took another small medal device from the table. He said something but I was in to much pain to hear him right. He then took the device and brought it up to my right ear and pressed a button. It ripped a small hole thru my ear again I tried to scream or do something to make it stop but I couldn't do anything. He then took a small dagger on it I saw runes for blood loss, any cut made by this blade would not clot or heal for a very long time. He ran it up and down my arms and back. I barely noticed but each of these cuts formed more runes of pain and paralysis. He took something else off the table but stopped before using it. He put it down took a strip of cloth and tied it around my eyes. I prepared for a bruise but it didn't come, it must have been just a blindfold. I waited there for a while for more pain or something but nothing came. After what seemed one or two hours I heard someone breaking the door down "wow I can actually hear again yay for now." Soon a smooth hand pulled off the blindfold; as soon as my eyes adjusted to the light I could see it was Lilith. I almost cried but I still couldn't move. She untied me and helped my off the chair until I was lying down while she held me saying something, I still couldn't hear what she said my hearing must not be all the way back to normal. I tried to say something but the pain came back worse then before and all I could manage was a whine. She picked me up and took me out of the room and out of the heat of the volcano; I could feel the cold of the blizzard at the outreaches of my senses. As we walked out of the cave I saw the demon holding Renny about to kill him. Lilith set me down and took out azurewrath and screamed something at him. A couple of seconds and replies later they were about to fight, I tried to move but nothing happened. She couldn't fight him she would lose I could feel the power he had and she couldn't hope to kill him, not without invoking the dark side of her and she might not come back from that. All of the sudden everything stopped, I found I could move too."Nathanial my child it has been a long time." A voice said from behind me, I turned to see a being with wings wreathed in light. "I wish I could help you more but all I can do is heal you now good luck." With that the being was gone and I felt time start to move very slowly back up to speed. I walked over to Lilith took the sword and challenged geddon myself.

After Lilith had killed the Geddon I set to picking up timothy and Talisian from their respective holes in the ground. Soon Elias and Nicadaemus showed up they helped me to get the others up and Elias healed them. We were about to go after Lilith when we saw Geddon get up from the ground, the holes in his back healing very quickly. "Ow that hurt a lot" he said as he turned toward us. "Now where was I. O yes I was about to kill you young human." He grabbed me before any of us could do anything and held a knife to my throat about to slice it when Lilith yelled at him from behind holding Nathanial's sword. (Yes I know its short but I am tired and can't write that much tonight).

Geddon made the first move. He threw up his right hand and the ground beneath me exploded as the rock was ripped upward. As I was disoriented he tried to lop my head off with his sword missing by millimeters. Well cross that he did hit me he cut off a bit of my hair. We circled each other a few more seconds before we attacked again. This time I got in the first strike. My sword hit his midstroke, the flames of both our swords mixing throwing off power as lightning bolts. Mine of course freezing everything they touched and his turning it into dust. We held like this for a couple of seconds before finally he used one of his rings to create a jet stream to fling me backwards. As I went flying back I saw him running toward me so I froze the dew on the grass creating almost a floor of ice spikes. He took five steps before realizing he was carving up his feet, and then he created a heat with his ring of fire to burn off the dew, instantly vaporizing it. Luckily it took him some time to do this completely and I was up on my feet before he started to run toward me again. As he was running he began to flap his wings. Soon he was more flying then running. He continued this until he was flying instead of running. He was about to reach me when I jumped straight in the air to dodge him. He turned and tried to attack where I would have fallen but I didn't fall to both his and my surprise. "Nice trick Nathanial. Learn it recently? He asked. "Actually yes, in fact I just realized I could do it." I replied. He flew into the air heading straight towards me his eyes burning a quite hateful dark red. I barely had time to learn how to control the flight when he rammed into me knocking the wind out of my lungs. I managed however to threw him off me and fly much higher so I could take advantage of the colder air. Instead of charging again however he just started to throw great big balls of fire at me. At first most of them missed but soon they got terrifyingly close. Finally one hit me knocking me out of the sky and setting me on fire. Falling was fine but the on fire thing, that hurt a lot it took me most of the fall to put it out. As I landed he was on me very quickly attacking with his flaming sword. He kept this up until finally giving up I started to use attacks that would hurt the world around me. "Burn with me" I whispered as I stabbed my sword point first into the ground. At first nothing happened but then the fire on azurewrath began to spin until it eventually was like a miniature tornado. After that three things happened at once. First the fire from azurewrath exploded outward burning everything in its path. Second Renny created a shield to protect the others and finally Geddon wrapped his wings around himself to protect himself from most of the blast. A couple of seconds later I tore azurewrath out of the ground, its azure colored flame had died down to just a bluish glow coming out of the sword. I looked around for Geddon but could not find him on the charred grass or the sky. Finally I gave up looking for him and started to walk over to the others. Apparently that was a very bad mistake for as soon as I had gotten close the ground began to shake and warp. Soon after Geddon cam bursting from the ground looking very good for someone who should have been fried thru to his bones. "That actually hurt Nathanial. It finally looks like your trying." He said as he brushed off the dirt. He then thru something pointed at me. I began to move to dodge it but realized that right behind me was Lilith and if was to dodge it it would hit her. So I grabbed it instead. However instead of being solid like I thought it would be, it was squishy. I looked very closely and found that it was a snake made of living metal. I froze it as soon as I had realized this making the metal brittle enough to shatter when I dropped it onto the ground. "Geddon I'll give you a last warning. Stop this and I wont have to kill you." I said calmly as I could. "Fine Nathanial on one condition I get to tell them about my brother arma and why you killed him." He replied. "Fine as long as you don't kill anyone else I will let you tell them." I said very reluctantly.

After everyone had settled down and Nathanial had finished convincing the others to hear me I began. "To begin this story let us start with who exactly I am. You already know my name but what you don't know is I am part of the five arch demons. I am destruction and my brother arma was death. About 700 years ago the original Seven came up against us." "700 years ago? The Seven has only existed for 550 years." Elias put in. "that was a lie told to you by your esteemed college Nathanial. As I was saying we met them as we were destroying one of the settlements under their protection. They showed up surprisingly quick. A fight broke out in the end only three were left of the Seven, the others had been killed. Nathanial, Lilith, and simile were the last left. Nathanial at this point after seeing the others dead had gone into a rage. The ground, the water, the walls, the sky, and even the flames started to freeze. He attacked faster then my brother could react grabbing him, holding his sword to his throat and asked me to give him a reason not to kill him. I tried to plead with him but he said it wasn't good enough so he killed my brother and was about to do the same to me when Lilith stopped him. He tried to get past her but she wouldn't let him go. She yelled at me to flee and never return. I did but I stayed close to where they were and soon got my opportunity to get back at them so I corrupted simile. What happened later I learned from varies people. Apparently Nathanial erased the memory of almost the entire world of the first Seven and then left to find a place to live. From what I could get he did well. He found a boyfriend and they lived happily for a number of years until 540 years ago when the pope came to power using the bible as reason for killing the other races. She then used her power in the church to eventually become ruler of the capitol city. Soon after she had gotten the power she used it, sending her armies to kill every lesser race she could find. It happened one day that a group of soldiers found the place that Nathanial and his boyfriend lived. They destroyed most of the town before Nathanial could react but when he did react it was almost as bad as when he had attacked us. He slew most of the guards where they stood but missed one. That one killed Nathanial's boyfriend before he could stop him. That is why Nathanial called the Seven back together using descendants of the first Seven to form the new one. You see he is using you to destroy the church for revenge. Not for equality or rights but for anger and hatred. What's even worse is that other than Nathanial and Lilith none of you are immortal. He takes others like you molds them into your shape and transfers your minds into the new bodies before you die. This does not however transfer your soul as well so in essence he is cloning you and using you for his purpose." I finished and waited for either Nathanial to flee or the others to attack and/or yell at him.
