The Legend of Spyro; Rising Dragon Chapter 1

It's been fifty years since the fall of the dark purple dragon, Malefor. His failure to destroy the great world was stopped by two young but powerful dragons. Spyro, the second purple dragon who's powers matched Malefor in every way was the hero to stop him. Cynder, the dark serpent of fear, formally controlled by Malefor only to be freed to help Spyro defeat him. The two joined forces to fight off the evil dragon. However, just as the world was falling apart, Spyro and Cynder used their powers to stop it from being destroyed and saved everything.

When the world had settled, the two dragons came back and were greeted as heroes. No longer did the animals of the planet live in fear of war or of Malefor. They all began to live in peace and begin rebuilding the fallen lands. Nearly all of Malefor's forces had fallen or run away to hide from the new rising cities and homes of the dragons. However, a few attempts to bring Malefor and the darkness back had been tried, Spyro, Cynder and many others have risen and fought back several more times to destroy the forces of evil. The forces all died and their were no more rising armies or dark plots to bring the darkness back.

Spyro and Cynder had also found their love for one another and became mates within years after their ending days of fighting. They had found peace within each other and although many argued for the pairing of the two, for the reasons of Cynder being the dark serpent. However, Spyro showed his trust and affection for Cynder by revealing that they had mated and admitted their love. The public was in shock but they knew that Spyro was a trusted dragon. Though it was a lie that they had mated, they did had thoughts and they had done. Within a decade, everyone accepted their love and found the couple to be a happy.

They had mated but it wasn't till that they grew larger that they had thoughts about hatchlings. The guardians had news that because of Cynder's connection to darkness and because of her rarity, there was little chance that she could conceive. They were both devastated but that didn't stop them from trying. They tried many times, including when Cynder was in her season but there was always something that got in between them much of the time. New troubles began and even though the war was over, the problems hadn't stopped. The rebuilding of Warfang, the repair of the temples, and those that seek either help from the two to find someone or personal revenge against Cynder.

The two realized that they would barely have time with each other but they stayed patient. It wouldn't be in till forty-two years after the war had they stopped and try it when Cynder became in season and they flew away to escape the problems for a bit.No one knew where they went nor did they try looking for them. Many realized that they had gone to a hidden place to spend their time alone for a bit.

A few weeks later, the two heroes returned only to tell everyone that they had managed to conceive a child. The guardians were shocked but happy for the two, only a few were and that is when they had their peace back at Warfang. They let the couples enjoy their time together and had watched slowly has Cynder's womb ad begun to grow. A few tests were taken to be sure and sure enough, Cynder was to have an egg. Only one egg do to the difficulty of the two but it was enough for them and it helped eased their problems.

The day Cynder laid her egg was the day peace seemed to finally come true. Warfang was built to its former glory, the temples were finished and nearly all the problems of the world were completed. The guardians and many others had seen this and thought of the mate ship between Cynder and Spyro to bring a peace sign. And so it did.

After two weeks, the egg, which was all black, had cracked open and Cynder and Spyro saw that with their time together, the managed to achieve the impossible. They achieved to have me, their daughter.

The day I was born, many thought of me to be a great sign of peace but only very little thought of me as an omen. I wasn't fully aware but I knew that my mother and father were the parents a hatchling could never have. They named me Aurora and that I looked almost exactly like my mother. I was actually had pitch black scales with dark purple under belly. I had shoulder marks like my mother, purple eyes like my father. I had a tail blade that was dagger shaped but spit in the middle so it seemed I had two. My wings were dark red and angled like my mother and had two horns on my head that were like my father's but dark silver. All in all, I was a nice looking dragon. They raised me so well and I grew up to be a fine daughter. When I was nearly a decade old, I was old enough to see the world and smart enough to understand it for it was.

However, it came to a great surprise by nearly everyone that I used several elements. In fact, all the elements that my parents had, I know possessed. I had fear, shadow, wind and poison from my mother. And I had electricity, fire, ice and earth from my father. I had one other element but something within me doesn't allow it to be reached, at least not yet. So when I had managed to know all of my elements and gain some control, I began trying them out. At first many stood away from me... for several reasons. One, I was both feared and respected, which worked well for me. I controlled two fearing elements and those who already feared my mother long ago, had fear in me. Hence, I soon got a nick name. The Beautiful Serpent or The Great Shadow. I thank my mother for that.

And soon I stand here looking over the city of Warfang on the highest point. My parents told me the story of their past's battles and their accomplishments. To them, I am their greatest accomplishment and the greatest creation. I am their daughter, Spyro and Cynder. I am a dragoness that has more power then most. I am feared and respected. I am Aurora.

I don't like to do that but I just have the sudden feeling of showing myself high and proud. I get that from my father. I just sit here now and look down as the citizens of Warfang run their daily lives now. Dragons are roaming the streets with other species like the moles, cheetahs and a few new comers.

My parents and I live on one of the few rooms close to the top of Warfang. Thing is, I often feel like a princess and am treated like royalty, which isn't so bad. I mean, I guess since my parents are idols or heroes of the world and peace makers and etc, they are now given higher respects as much as the guardians. The four or five since they now retired, only to be taken over by their younger family, are watching over Warfang. They go back to the temple in the forest to visit the old place but they remain here. Now being a supposed-royalty also means that I have my own companion like my father had before me. Sparx, was my father's companion since day one and now since he is old and had his family, Sparx's daughter, Tinker, now is my companion. I've met Sparx and my mother and father would often tell me he would make to many jokes, or do something that wasn't really smart and it was true. He sometimes acted like an idiot but he would always be there. Just like him, his daughter sticks by me and she is almost nothing like her father, neither are her other siblings. She knows humour and she is quite intelligent but refrains from making any kind of smart remark, which I am thankful though. She was assigned to be with me and I couldn't have been gladder to have her with me than anyone else.

She is currently being told and instructed on certain things by her father, which I, my mother and father knew it would only mean bad news. I can't blame him for trying to play the macho act and teach his daughter to be humorous or joke full all time. I am currently being instructed by the new guardians and my parents on my elements. It is hard enough that they make me learn them all at once but why? They think that I should be able to defend myself. But not only in elements but also in close combat, Using nothing but teeth, claws and tail-blade to fight an enemy. But who are my enemies? All the goblins and apes are either dead or hiding, because they are near the point of extinction. I mean, who is going to be my enemy? Unless I create an enemy but why would I do that? Everyone, well nearly everyone here loves or respects me. I have nothing to have a grudge or be angry at someone for not bowing down to me or calling me by my nicknames. I don't even like to be bowed; the nicknames I don't mind but still. It just makes my life more complicated, without having to be pampered like a hatchling or being instructed to use all my elements at once like an adult. Can't I just live my life without complications?

Even though I'm training with my parents I fell lonely without Tinker since we have been together since our birth and she is still with Sparx and will be there for the next week or so. As for my training, it is being supervised by my dad's Guardians Ignitus, the fire dragon; Volteer, the lightning dragon; Cyril, the ice dragon; and Terrador, the earth dragon, but I am actually being trained by the new Guardians of Fire, Ice, Earth, and lighting whose names are Lumadore, Ignitus's nephew, Altore, Voltree's son, Trigen, Terrador's younger cousin, Frost, Cyril's son, and my parents for my other elements and my fury, which is both of my parents furies combined.

Damn the sun is going down and I have curfew and I don't know why, mom and dad won't tell me neither will the Guardians. I think they just want me home so I don't get hurt or something like that. ...sigh... Well, might as well get going don't want to be late or mom will have a fit and ground me again, I hope I don't turn out like my mom, now that's a scary thought ...shutters...

Home sweet home "mom, I'm home!" there was no answer, so I guessed she wasn't home or she was out, I got my answer from Uncle Sparx and Tinker.

"Hi Uncle Sparx, hi Tinker, what are you doing here?" I asked them.

"Your parents asked if I could keep an eye on you while they visit my parents, so here we are," Sparx explained.

"Why didn't they tell me, I wanted to see grandma and grandpa too," I told Sparx.
