#15 of Two Worlds (Finished)

His heart felt cold. No, his entire blood flow felt cold.

         ?...

His heart felt cold. No, his entire blood flow felt cold.

How could this have happened? His own comrade laying there on the table in a state of unconsciousness, looking so helpless and defeated that it burned to even watch him lie there like this. The snake had been removed from his wrist and the scar had almost healed virtually on its own, possibly a side effect from the snake's venom. He coughed, trying to clear his throat which felt as if something was trying to tear its way out, something like a sob. But he refused to bring himself to that low, he was a warrior and warrior's stayed strong.

"There's nothing we can do." Said the Doctor slowly, replacing the snake back into the glass jar and putting it back to where it was originally. The Lizard was shaking, though he couldn't tell why.

"Will he be able to wake up?" His voice was strong to his surprise. He usually could never accomplish that.

"To be honest, My Lord," The Doctor looked him in the eyes long and hard, he was still shaking, "I do not know."

The room felt cold enough to give him a chill up his spine as he got out of bed, but he ignored it as he stood in his boxer briefs, looking around to notice anything different about his bedroom. Anything that never belonged or was never there before; like a person, or a tail... Like_Demetrius_. The one his heart wanted, no, burned for. His scent wasn't lingering but Kevin still smelt it, the sweet scent of grass and fresh air mixed together to make Kevin feel like he was in a meadow. But there was no scent. There was no meadow.

There was no Demetrius.

He walked toward his closet full of clothes, walking in and registering the room quietly as he set for the jeans adjacent from the door, slipping on a dark blue pair and grabbing a black shirt to go under is powder blue hoodie. School was today and he truly never wanted to go. His mind was set to Demetrius too much for him to pay attention in his classes. It could not have been all a dream, Kevin refused to believe that he dreamt the whole thing over one night. It just wasn't possible, it all felt so real!

Demetrius Crawford is not imaginary! The City of Angels, Arella, is not made up! Everything Kevin dreamt was real! Kevin was sure of it.

Or maybe I'm going crazy. Maybe this was a dream... He hated to give that thought but... his gut feelings were usually right.

"Kevin?"

Kevin turned, his heart punching his lungs and making him feel like he couldn't breathe. "Demetrius?"

"Who's he?" Derik stood at his closet door, his face curious but not alarmed by the slight reaction.

Kevin's lungs took a breath in to force out a sigh, it wasn't Demetrius, "No one..." is voice was harsh and disappointing, But very clear.

"Alright," Derik replied slowly, "It's time to leave, so..." His voice trailed off.

Kevin only nodded and headed out of his closet, having the feeling that he will never see Demetrius again.

"Alright, take your books off of your desk and take out a pencil or pen."

Great, Kevin though, I get back to school and there's a math test I forgot to study for. Damn it! The teacher came around slowly, inspecting each desk before handing the thick pile of papers to the student's desks. Kevin wanted to shoot himself right now and get it his life over with, thinking if he thought about Demetrius he would be able to actually be with him while he was dead. But with now gun around, Kevin sighed and looked up as the teacher slapped the test onto his desk. The equations laid out were feeling as if they were blurry, what the heck is this stuff?

Kevin just dropped his head onto his desk, groaning loudly as his eyes squeezed shut. Get me out of her! I don't want to be here! I want to go to Arella! I hate it here!

"Now is that the way you do your tests around here?"

Kevin stopped thinking and immediately opened his eyes, the soft voice next to his ear forced him to sit up in his seat and look dead center in those familiar glacier blue eyes, "Demetrius...!"

The Husky smirked, looking smug and innocent while his eyes just focused on Kevin's, he looked happier than he did in his dream, "Hey there," his voice was soft and warm, as if his voice was wrapping him in a warm blanket, "How you feelin'?"

Kevin's eyes burned from having his eyes wide and open too long, tears were threatening to take over his emotions quickly but it wasn't enough to keep him from shaking violently. The one he loved was here, sitting in front of him with his head resting on his palm, just staring into Kevin's eyes as if it was Demetrius' first crush. The tall husky wore nothing over his chest-no surprise there considering he usually has his shirt off when he isn't wearing his armour-but he was wearing those baggy samurai pants again, just like the last time he first met Demetrius in his world. His glacier blue eyes were chilling to look into but Kevin felt as if they were now warm water soaking his body, he was so...so...Beautiful! His fur was shining from the sun coming in from the window, just beaming golden bars of light and reflecting off him easily as metal. No one could forget this image. Everyone would just stare at him forever and never look away. Like the class.

Shit! The Class! Kevin choked and looked around him, expecting to find a dozen eyes just gleaming fear into the human like Husky before Kevin, expecting some girl in the class to scream for her life and be the first to run for the door. But they weren't even looking at him, not even taking so much as a glance at him or the giant human like dog sitting in front of Kevin's desk. They were just doing their test, minding their own business. Kevin felt ignored, but yet he also felt confused. The teacher wasn't even looking at them; she just sat in her desk and marked her work. All Kevin could hear was the wind outside and the occasional tick tock from the clock.

"You look like you're going to besick there," His expression switched to concerned, his ears dropping to the sides and looking less innocent. Reaching his hand out to touch Kevin's forehead, Demetrius frowned, "You're getting pretty hot. You may be getting a fever."

Kevin didn't listen. That touch felt so good that it made Kevin lean into it and close his eyes, sighing out his relief of Demetrius not leaving him. He didn't feel crazy, he was real, "I missed you... I thought you left me." Kevin said with a soft voice, trying to smile but only regretting it when his head felt like it was twisting the world around him.

Demetrius waited a few seconds before responding, "I missed you, too." He said, removing his hand and making Kevin open his eyes. The world around him was twirling, "Kevin... Did you mean what you said?"

Kevin was confused, "Say what?" He asked, trying to focus a little more before closing his eyes to keep from throwing up.

"...About hating me." He replied slowly, but his voice sounded sad now.

"No!" Kevin moved his hand to touch Demetrius, but missed, "I love you...!"

Demetrius took a while to answer, his breathing got harder now as Kevin felt the threatening burn back in his eyes. He wasn't going to cry, not now, "Why do I find that hard to believe." Kevin couldn't get out a word before Demetrius put a finger to his mouth, again, Kevin leaned into the touch, "We'll talk later...First you have to wake up..."

"What?" Kevin opened his eyes and-

Woke up to find himself sleeping on his desk, hearing the weather outside the window change from sunny to hard, pouring rain splashing into the window glass. The test on Kevin's desk wasn't touched but it had a few equations done for him to at least get a passing mark, he must have dosed off after giving up on the impossible questions.

It was all a dream, again. Nothing in that dream was real but why did it feel like it all was? Kevin couldn't understand why this was happening to him, it was as if his own sanity was playing tricks to get revenge on him. But revenge for what? What did Kevin do to deserve these dreams of actually feeling love and actually feeling ones lovely touch and caress that it lead to the loss of his own virginity. Well, Kevin must not actually be a virgin now if it was all a dream.

Damn it...

Kevin looked out the window and watched the rain hitting the snow outside, pounding little holes into it and immediately freezing into ice. By the looks of it the wind must have picked up, too. Forcing out a deep sigh, Kevin knew at the end of the day he was going to have to walk through that.

The room suddenly spun and Kevin was almost about to throw up. Kevin wasn't feeling well but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. But out of curiosity, he brought his hand to his forehead.

It was warm...

"His body is becoming too warm; we have to remove some fabric immediately." The Doctor removed the boy's pants and shirt, leaving him only in boxer briefs. The Warrior next to the Doctor only stared at the boy's body before looking over at his comrade on the other table; his body was the same way: still and blank.

"Is he getting a fever?" The Warrior asked but kept his eyes on his comrade, not wanting to look at the boy's half naked body; it felt like he was violating his space way too much.

"Yes, though it must be from the amount of blood he has lost." The doctor looked at the wound on his stomach, seeing little blots of blood leaking through the bandaging, "He needs to be properly treated. He is still losing blood."

"I know," replied the Warrior. "Is he in a coma, too?"

The Doctor took a minute to examine the boy and looked up at the Warrior, "I'm afraid so." He sighed and rubbed his neck, the tension in the room was affecting him deeply, "Though aside from that, if we don't stop the bleeding now then the fever will grow worse. And you know what could happen next."

The Warrior nodded and finally looked at the boy, taking in the image of his body before staring into the bandage, "He will die."

The Warrior cleared his throat and looked at the wall in front of him. Someone did this to the boy, and that someone was an Assassin.

There was only one Assassin the Warrior could think of though...

The rain punched Kevin a thousand times as he made his way home. Although he could have taken the bus to school but he felt that walking in the rain would be better for his current mood. Kevin was miserable enough that his eyes were burning too much now to cry but that wasn't going to happen. Kevin cried too much now and it was time to take it like he should. If he did dream this whole thing, then he stupid enough to even think it was real. Demetrius was a dog to Kevin, and in this world, humans dating animals was just plain wrong. Period.

Demetrius was just a figment of imagination, a dream character that never existed. He wasn't there in his life; never ever had he had to even think about dating until that dream. He blamed Demetrius. This was his entire fault.

The rain grew harder, and with his hood over his head Kevin still felt the pelting of rain smacking his head. Kevin felt like he deserved it though.

"This is all your fault!"

Kevin looked up with wet, squinted eyes and was greeted with a hard punch to the face. The impact was powerful enough to toss him four feet back and roll to a stop, the wet pavement scratching his face and tearing his cheek to bleed down his neck. The world around him started to spin again as he opened his eyes to try and focus on everything around him, to make sure his surroundings were clear enough to look up to see his attacker.

He was grabbed and hoisted up to get on his feet, the blood from his cheek dripping onto his coat but quickly removed by the rain. Kevin felt lips on his own for a few seconds before feeling another heavy punch to his face, "I loved you! I protected you with my life! And this is what I get in return!?"

The voice was familiar to Kevin, but everything blurred too much for him to even make out the character in front of his face. "W...What..."

He never got the chance to finish as his lips were occupied by the same lips again. As the person pulled back from the kiss, Kevin heard sadness in their voice. It also sounder like they were crying, "Because of you, I'm stuck here!"

Kevin's eyes finally came into focus and looked into the eyes of his attacker, they were glacier blue eyes and enraged with such anger that Kevin read murder in bother of them. As he took in everything around him, Kevin finally focused on the person.

"Demetrius..." He said in a whisper, trying to make his voice clear but failed.

He was crying for sure now, and Kevin knew that they were there behind the rain, "If I never met you..." He took a moment to catch his breath before continuing, "I never would be in this situation!"

Kevin couldn't help it now as he began to cry, the burning in his eyes were too much now, "Demetrius, I'm...."

"You're what?!" He demanded, shaking the Human roughly, "Sorry?"

Kevin couldn't answer as another blow to the face forced him to stop, but afterward his lips were pressed to the Husky's once again.

"I hate you, Kevin! I hate that I love you so much that it burns my heart! Why can't I stop thinking about you? You're always in my mind! I HATE YOU!"

Kevin never heard him scream so high before. "...Sorry..."

Demetrius became too angry now. Sorry wasn't enough to make up for what he's been through. As the rain around them splashed hard into the ground, all Kevin felt was another blow the face. After that, everything went blurry.

Hitting the ground hard, Kevin felt his face become numb. The world that was once focused was now blurry from the rain.

"I hate you..." Demetrius fell next to Kevin's side and began to sob.

All Kevin heard before he closed his eyes was the rain, and the cry of a warrior.
