#14 of Tora

Well, I'm a bit late on the update. I had a couple projects for school to take care of and that was a LOT of work. It took nearly two weeks to finish both of them. So it was pretty much "business before pleasure" for me lately. Anyway, I'm got nothing else to say so I'll let you start reading. Just to remind you all once again, I still feel that votes and comments are welcome and appreciated. On a side note, does anyone here play Brawl? I'm itching to fight and I'm tired of fighting good people online who CAN kick my butt, but not being able to fight them again. (or at least KNOW that I'm fighting them again. So if you're interested, does anyone want to play?

A loud blaring noise awoke him from his sleep. He instinctively reached out and turned the alarm off. It was only a couple minutes later it blasted more loud music in his ears. Now, fully awake, he slams his hand down on the clock once more and made sure he didn't hit the 'snooze' button.

"Argh, what the hell? 6:15am? Why did I set my alarm so damn early?" he groaned. It took him a minute, but he remembered that he was in a pokémon center and had something to do that required him to be up early. Not really excited about getting up this early, he got out of bed anyway and stretched his back, making a few relieving popping sounds. The room wasn't really all that great. There was a single queen sized bed, a small desk in front of the window, a TV directly in front of the bed, and two doors leading to either the bathroom of the hallway. He decided against taking a shower for now and got dressed in some blue jeans, a white shirt with green stripes, and his black jacket. He left the room and made his way downstairs into the main lobby of the center.

Like most pokémon centers, this one was open all day like a regular hospital with different people behind the front desk. A young woman with long, brown hair was at the front typing on her computer doing who knows what. Since it was so early in the morning, there wasn't anybody around and she looked extremely bored. When he approached the desk, it took her a moment to realize he was standing there.

"Can I help you, sir?" she asked without any enthusiasm, not that he could blame her.

"Yeah, I want to pick up my pokémon. Are they ready yet?" he asked.

"What's your name?"

"Chad Summers," he replied.

"Wait here for a moment." She got up from her chair and went through the double doors that lead to where they kept and healed pokémon. She came back a couple minutes later with a small tray holding four pokéballs. "Here you are. They're fully healed and completely healthy," the woman said a bit more excited now that she was doing something. Chad took the balls of the tray and clamped them onto his belt.

"Thanks, I'll be back later," he said with a sigh. He turned to leave, but was stopped by the woman.

"Wait, you have a call waiting for you."

"A call?"_he asked himself. _"Who the hell is calling me this early in the morning... and how the fuck do they know I'm here?" "Who is it?" The woman looked a bit nervous when he asked that.

"Well... I'm not really sure how to say this but-"

"Never mind, I know who it is." Chad said before she could finish. He made his way to the videophones along the wall near the little sitting area. He picked up the receiver and pressed a button that was lit up, indicating that someone was put on hold. Instantly, a dragonite with large green eyes appeared onscreen holding a picture of him with "Have you seen this trainer?" written in crude writing. It was the dragons' way of getting the nurses to get him whenever it called. He could see the green coloring on the inside of the large, orange wings as they expanded for a moment before coming to rest again. A small horn sat in the middle of its head, between two of its long yellow antennae. Although its face and body was orange, the underbelly all the way to near the end of the tail was yellow.

"I see your handwriting has gotten better. How the hell did you know where I was?"

"I asked them ," she responded with spite on the last word. "You haven't called for almost three weeks and I thought something happened to you."

"Is that why you called? By the way, how did you know I'd be up this early?" The glare she gave him was enough of an answer. "Right, look, I gotta go, so unless you have anything else you'd like to say I'm hanging up. I'll see you later."

"I want to see them," she said flatly. The statement caught him a little off guard, but he almost knew she'd ask that after all the time that had passed since their last talk.

"Can we do this later? I seriously gotta-"

"No. I want to see my children." Chad made a face that was between irritation and panic.

"You can see him later when I come back from-"

"Wait, him? What do you mean 'him'?! Where's Lani? Isn't she with you too?" She asked in a slightly panicked voice. Chad didn't answer right away, trying to think of a way out of it. Apparently he took too long to answer. "Where... Is... Lani?" She spoke each word with rising anger and panic, getting closer to screen. Chad still didn't answer her and it only made her more worried. "WHERE IS SHE?!!"

"I gave her to some kid in Viridian, alright!" The dragonite's eyes went wide in shock.

"You... You did what?" Chad sighed and composed himself.

"I gave her to some kid with a raichu in Viridian City while I was passing by. Look, Miu, can we talk about this later? I'll call you as soon as I get back." Miu, the dragonite, didn't respond. She just stared at him for the longest time not saying anything. "Miu, are you listen-" He stopped when he heard a loud crack and some static on the phone. Then, the receiver that was in the dragons' paw suddenly snapped in half, leaving it dangling by the wires inside. Her shocked expression suddenly turned to one of rage and with the same paw the destroyed phone was in, smashed the screen on her side.

The transmission ended and Chad was staring at a blank screen with the words "Connection failed" flashing over and over. He put the receiver back on the hook and sighed. He looked over to the front desk to see the woman staring at him.

"The hell you lookin' at?!" he shouted. The woman jumped at his outburst and quickly went back to typing on her computer. Chad turned and walked out the center into the streets of Cerulean City. It was still mostly dark out. The cool air whipped through his hair as he walked the empty streets, but that was the only thing that was empty. His mind was buzzing with dozens of scenarios of what might happen the next time he sees Miu. A dragon, he can deal with it. A pissed off dragon who's the mother of the child you gave away, plus the fact that he neglected to tell her means that he's in for one hell of a day. He looked at his watch. "6:50 am... I'm not gonna make it in time." He stopped in the middle of a crosswalk, feeling his anger boil over. "FUCK!!!"

*****8*****

Chad stood in front of an old looking building. He was in an older part of the city where there were mostly apartment complexes. This one was sitting across the street from one of those apartments and used to serve as sort of a recreational building. The hardwood floors would creak almost everywhere you stepped and the wallpaper was old and lost most of color it had however many years ago. The building looked well into its years and now the only thing it was good for was taking up space, or so he thought at first anyway. He stepped up to the front door and knocked three times. A few moments later, a little slide about eye level opened up and a pair of eyes were staring at him.

"What do you what?" The voice was male and he sounded a bit raspy.

"You know what I'm here for. Is that old man still in there?" Chad replied, not in the mood for any games.

"You best watch that mouth of yours. You don't want to upset the boss again do ya?"

"Just open the damn door!" The little slide shut and a couple locks were heard being turned before the door open, revealing an older heavy set man. He looked as if he hadn't shaved in a while and smelt awfully strong of alcohol. He wore a slightly torn shirt with a few stains on them and some old pair of jeans to go with it and the worn brown shoes. His brown hair was unkempt and his eyes were bloodshot.

"Second floor, room 211. You know where to go," he said.

Chad moved passed the man and made his way up the stairs, each stair creaking under his weight. He turned right as soon as he reached the top and saw the one door in the world that pissed him off more than accidentally being served cold noodles; room 211. He opened the door and walked in trying to be as calm as he can possibly be. There were three men and one pokémon in the room. The two men standing on either side of an office desk were the typical overly muscular bodyguard that hung on every word their client tells them. Both had a got head in height on Chad and they both had on shirts that were a size too small to show off their muscles. It was some sort of intimidation thing that only worked on those who were self-conscious about their own bodies or on those who weren't used to seeing people that built. Then again, who was?

The pokémon was standing loyally next to its master, just as tall as the body guards. Its body was mostly covered in red feathers, save for the yellow ones that started just below the knees that went all the way down its feet. The torso and head were covered in beige feathers that extended all the way down its back, making it look like it had long hair and a sleeveless jacket. Its face was that of a bird and it had some sort of v-shaped crest that looks like it's an extension from its beak. It had three fingers on each hand that looked similar to talons and what looked to be grey wristbands. He could feel some of the heat emitting from the creature from the door and was still wondering how those three could stand that close to it. All in all, Chad wouldn't want to meet this blaziken alone in a dark alley.

"You're late," said the man sitting at the desk. His name was Lou Clifton. He was a pudgy man, short and balding too, but he carried himself with pride. He wore a navy pinstripe suit with a white shirt and red tie. The watch on his wrist was gold and it looked pretty expensive. There was no kindness in his facial expression, only a cold stare that he developed over the years from running one of the biggest underground organizations in Kanto, one that Chad was all too willing to return. Lou was the head boss of an organization called Sin and there was only one objective: money. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do to put a decent sized stack of money in his pocket. He owned numerous nightclubs, all of which were popular and thriving, but that wasn't where all the money came from. That was only a small portion. He had other means of getting green that suited him better.

"What's your point, old man?" he grunted. "I'm here, aren't I?"

"Ever heard of punctuality? It does make a difference in whether or not you keep your job." he spoke deeply and clearly, making sure he got his message across. Chad merely shrugged and made his way over to the older man.

"What do you want now? It better not be a waste of my time." Lou smiled at this.

"I assure you boy, I don't waste other people's time like you." He opened one his desk drawers and pulled out a large yellow envelope. He handed it over to Chad, who snatched it from him. Chad opened the envelope and took out a single piece of paper. As he read what was on it, his anger was on the rise.

"Fuck that!" he shouted as he stood up suddenly and slammed the paper on the desk. "I'm not doing that shit!!" The blaziken and the bodyguard moved to do something, but Lou raised his hand to stop them.

"As long as you're alive, you'll do as I say, boy. Then again, we could do things the hard way and let my blaziken have his way with another one of your beloved pokémon." Chad glanced over to the fire bird and saw a smirk on its face. Knowing that he lost the argument, he snatched the paper back up and stormed out the room.

"Fucking sons of bitches..."

"Alright, girls, we're done with morning exercises." Chris said as he wiped the sweat off his face. Tora and Lani were sitting on the grass just as tired as he was.

"Finally, I can't wait to take a bath and get clean." Lani said a little out of breath.

"Me either. I feel so sticky." Tora added. They were in the southern outskirts of the city. It was early in the morning, almost eight o'clock to be exact. The sun was mostly up, but still had a little ways to go before it fully rises. There was a light fog around them due to last night's rain and the air felt a little muggy, yet smelled somewhat fresh at the same time. The field they're in had a few scorched areas due to some intense electrical attacks, while some areas were thick with scattered mud from water attacks. A couple small boulders were reduced to baseball-sized rocks or smaller. All in all, it was quite a mess.

It's been about two weeks since the incident in Viridian forest. Since then, Chris and Tora have taken their training up a notch. Instead of doing their normal routine, Chris had Tora sparring with Lani after they warmed up from practicing their moves on the nearby boulders. It all started one morning when Tora would wake up early in the morning before anyone else and goes outside to practice her moves. She'd spend about an hour training nonstop where they are now. She swore to herself that she'd get stronger to protect Chris from danger. She wasn't going to let anyone or anything threaten to take his life again, not while she was around and still breathing. It wasn't until the fourth morning she came back did she get caught by him. After she explained why she was getting up so early, Chris decided that they might as well do it together. Lani was up for some training, since she was feeling kind of lazy for not getting any in recently. Not only that, but she wanted to be stronger for her brother. He was always protecting her from some of the harsher training her previous trainer put them through. She wanted to stand up for herself and not have to rely on him anymore. After all, he wasn't there anymore and she'd have to grow up some until she saw him again.

Chris wanted to get stronger too, physically and as a trainer. He felt a little out of shape and realized that the world was a lot more dangerous than he originally thought, even though he knew how dangerous it was. If he intended to venture out into it, he needed to be ready for it. Other than going out training his body, he learned how to wash his own clothes and is learning how to cook quick meals when their on the road between cities. He's also picked up a couple books from the library on pokémon care and general information on pokémon to refresh his memory. These things were essential when one wanted to be a trainer and he wanted to be the best, or at least one of the best. Everyone had their own reasons for the training and they were going to see it to the end. The trio started their walk back home with little aches all over their bodies.

"Oh, man. I'm so gonna feel this the rest of the day," Chris said as he rubbed his lower back.

"Well, that's you get for trying to somersault over a bed of rocks," Tora said with a small giggle. "Want me to kiss it to make it feel better?"

"If you kiss a little lower, I might feel a whole lot better," he said before taking off in a run laughing. It took her a second to figure out what he meant by that.

"Oh, someone hasn't learned that he can't outrun me, especially after a comment like that." Tora took off after him, leaving Lani to play catch up.

By the time they snuck back into the house, it was about half-passed seven. They headed straight to bathroom to wash off the morning's dirt and sweat. Marcus and Angela were still sleeping, still oblivious to their morning routine, and won't be up for while. Their time in the tub was relaxing. Chris could actually sit naked in the tub without having to worry about Lani trying anything funny. The first time he did it felt a little awkward, but after the third time, it went rather smoothly. Once they finished, the trio headed downstairs to chill while their muscles recovered. There wasn't anything on television this early in the morning, so they settled for playing board games until the adults woke up. It was Lani's first time playing any kind of board game, which made it all the more surprising that she kept winning the entire time. At first they thought it was beginners luck, but it soon became apparent that she was just unstoppable. They played Life, Checkers, Monopoly, Poffin Land, Chu Trap, even Reversi. Chris and Tora used their best strategies to try and beat her, but all their plans backfired on them with her simple, yet brilliant counter moves.

It was such a relief to Chris and Tora that Lani had adjusted somewhat to life here. Compared to the first few days she was there, the dragon had taken on a completely different attitude. She was more relaxed, she laughed, and best of all, wasn't completely sex-driven. It was almost like she was being a kid again, even though she still had her moments when her habits came back. Even though her foul language was something she was raised around and just rolled off the tongue, they couldn't really blame her for having to work on keeping that in check. Besides, swearing on a daily basis lowers your vocabulary, or at least that's what they were told. Soon enough, Marcus and Angela were up and eventually fixed breakfast, with the help of the rising chief Chris. The breakfast was no longer a battlefield for the dragon and chu, much to the relief of everyone else. Marcus was a bit surprised at how fast Lani seemed to adjust to her new life and congratulated him and Tora for it. After breakfast, there was the usual cleaning up after and everyone went about doing their own thing.

"So what do you guys want to do now?" Chris asked tossing a ball to Tora. They were in his room casually tossing a tennis ball to each other as they tried to think of something to do for the day.

"I don't know. With all the training we've been doing it's kind of boring doing anything else." Tora replied. She tossed the ball to Lani, who caught it with her tail.

"What about a game of tag?" the dragon suggested.

"Nah, Chris still can't outrun me and you'd have no problem tagging either of us."

"Oh, I know a game! Let's play Predator."

"What's that?"

"It's a game my brother and I played sometimes with some of the other pokémon. It's kind of like hide 'n' seek, except that everyone is 'it'. You could say that we're... hunting each other."

"Hunting each other?" Lani nodded. Tora thought about it and it seemed like fun to be 'hunting' instead of just finding those not 'it' before they got to base. She asked Chris if he wanted to play and he agreed to, not seeing anything else to do. With that decided the trio went outside and made their way to the Viridian Forest.

*****8*****

"Okay, I'll give each of us five minutes to go hide. We go in separately so we don't know where the other players are. After that, we'll try to find each other within the fifteen-minute time limit. Whoever can take down the other players by the time fifteen minutes is up is the winner. Since we have an odd number of people, we'll have to settle a tie with a battle. Got it?" Lani explained. "Wait, what if one of us is tied with Chris?" Tora asked. "Uh... I'll think of something special for him, nothing too painful." Tora looked at her feeling a bit uneasy, but relayed the instructions to Chris. "Okay... Now get going!" Chris took off into the forest as fast as he could to make the best use of his time.

Once Chris' five minutes were up, Tora ran as fast as she could to find a suitable hiding place until she felt safe enough to start looking for either Chris or Lani. Even though five minutes seemed like a lot of time, she already used two of them to put some distance from the dragon. She'll have to make sure that she doesn't leave any clues as to wear she is, like broken branches, paw prints, her scent, etc. A clean getaway is what she wanted. She passed some thick bushes, but thought that those places were too obvious, so she looked for a tree that hide her as well as support her weight. Keeping the time in mind, she found one that looked large enough and climbed as quickly as she could. She came to a rest on the first branch up and took this time to catch her breath.

"She'll never find me up here,"_she thought. Tora briefly thought about how Chris was doing, but quickly reminded herself that she needed to stay vigilant in case Lani were to come by. If she had it right, her five minutes were up and the dragon should be looking for them now. A few minutes came and went slowly for the chu as boredom was started to creep up on her. _"Good grief, where is she?" She was sneaking through bushes, constantly on the lookout for anything pink, but it got a little dull at having to look over her shoulder almost every second. Tora was wondering if she's doing too good a job at avoiding the dragon. It seemed almost too easy if she avoided detection this long. She dropped her guard a little and started to relax a bit more to enjoy her surroundings, not fearing detection any longer. It didn't seem like Lani was coming anytime soon... Or so she thought.

"Hehehe, this is too easy,"_Lani thought. She had already found Chris hiding in a tree about three minutes into the hunt. It wasn't very hard since he left a trail of bushes with the tips of their branches broken off and couldn't sit still on his tree branch. She had been stalking Tora for about five minutes. Since the chu had a heightened sense of hearing, the dragon took her time in luring the mouse into a false sense of security. It was a trick her brother taught her when they went hunting for prey that was stronger than they were. She kept her body low to the ground, making very little to no noise, just as she was taught. Her presence was completely hidden as she blended in with her environment. Her focus was solely on her target, studying the mouse's movements. When the time was right, she would launch out and pin Tora down, earning her win. _"Perfect," she thought as Tora stopped moving with her back to the dragon. Lani got ready to make her attack, but stopped when something appeared out the corner of her eye. "No... way..."

Tora stopped walking and looked around for Lani.

"Okay, I know I'm not that hard to find."

"Especially when you talk to yourself out loud," someone said behind her, making her jump. She quickly turned around to hit whoever was behind her with her tail for scaring her like that, but another tail blocked her attack. "Whoa, that was close. It's good thing I keep my tail nice and strong," Aaron said as he released the raichu's tail. The psychic cat floated in the air in frontof the young chu. Tora sighed and calmed down.

"Jeez, you scared the crap out of me. Do you ever get tired of that?"

"Mmm, nope. It's still fun to scare you sometimes," he replied playfully as he did a back flip in the air. "What're you doing out here anyway? Who's trying to find you?"

"I'm playing a game and I have to avoid being found by Lani."

"Lani? Is she a pink dratini?"

"Yeah, how did you know?" Tora asked, surprised that he would even know who she talking about.

"She's right in those bushes over there. She's been following you for a few minutes now." Tora looked around and saw the dratini barely visible under the foliage. Having been found out, Lani slowly slithered out in the open, still in awe at seeing the legendary mew in front of her.Aaron flew over to the young dragon and introduced himself. "I'm Aaron by the way. So, your name is Lani?"

"Y-y-yes, sir," the young dragon stuttered.

"That's a nice name and there's no need to call me 'sir'. Just call me by my name." Lani simply nodded. "I've never seen a pink dratini before. You look really nice." Aaron looked over to Tora and was thrilled at seeing her after such a long absence.

"So, Smiles, what are you so happy about?" Tora asked with a grin.

"Smiles?"Aaron brought a paw up to his face and, sure enough, found himself grinning ear-to-ear. He tried to force it down, but it just wouldn't stay.

"I have no idea. Maybe it's because I'm really glad to see you after such a long time," he said, giving up on trying to get rid of it. "Anyway, you look... different." Tora raised a brow at his comment.

"Different how?"

"I don't know. I guess... healthier. Your fur's a little brighter since the last time I saw you and I actually see the muscles in your legs have gotten stronger too.I think you slimmed down a little and there's this... sort of glow about you that makes you look really... cute." Tora was finding it hard to keep from feeling flustered by his noticing of her, as made apparent by her reddening face.

"Uh... thanks. I've been training a lot lately, so that's probably why," she said. She was completely caught off guard by his compliments.Lani took in everything that was happening and was even more amazed than she was before.

"Is... Is he hitting on her?" The dragon pondered on this thought while they were talking and came to the conclusion that it was completely absurd. It was downright ludicrous. A raichu and the legendary Mew, the 'mother' of all pokémon, getting together? "No way," she thought. Yet, the more she listened to them talk and watched their body language, the more she came to realize that Aaron was checking her out. Stunned by this new revelation, she just sat as they talked away, completely forgetting why she was there in the first place.

"So," Aaron said. "What are your plans for the rest of the day?" Tora thought about it and suddenly remembered that she was in the middle of playing a game.

"Oh, Lani! Sorry, I forgot we were still playing."

"I-It's okay," she said, now remembering their game. "I would've won anyway. You guys are terrible at this game. It was a little harder to find you, but it was still easy."

"Aww, and I thought I was doing a good job," she said with a little pout. "But, now that the game's over," now turning to Aaron. "We don't really have anything else to do for the day. This was just something to do."

"Well, since you guys have nothing to do, you wanna take me up on my offer to see the lake guardians?" the psychic asked. "They're kind of... Anxious to see you."

"They know about me?"

"Of course. I tell them everything that's going on in my life... Well, almost everything. Some things you only need to tell to certain individuals." He sighed a little at the last part, thinking back to when Azelf and Mesprite found out that he was hanging around a girl.

"Wait, we can see the Lake Guardians in Sinnoh?!" Lani exclaimed, clearly getting excited about meeting more legendaries. It was already quite something to just to see one legendary in one lifetime, but to meet four in one day was as rare as someone winning the Pokémon League ten times with just one pokémon. She's only been to Sinnoh once and heard about them from all over. She learned about them in more detail in Celestic town, where they have a vast library containing information on the legendaries. There were also stories on how Sinnoh was formed and the beginning of space and time. All those stories fascinated her and she's always wanted to meet them, but that was when she was barely a year old. It seemed like only a dream when she finally had to leave that region, but now that dream was turning into a reality. Tora and Aaron grinned as they watched the dragon get worked up.

"It looks like someone really wants to go," Tora said with a giggle.

"Looks that way," Aaron added. "Well, now that that's decided, the only thing left is tell Chris our plans." Aaron teleported them to the edge of the forest to where Chris was waiting patiently for their return, not expecting a third member to be with them. After the initial excitement, he was informed of what they wanted to do for the day and was more than happy to join them. Who would pass up the chance to see legendary pokémon? A fool, that's who.

In time it took to count to one, the group was standing in the middle of a large cave. Thankfully, the sunlight from outside was bright enough to see most of where they were. It was very spacious and there were a few deep pools of water scattered about the cave. It was a lot colder compared to where they were and it showed when Chris suddenly shivered due the chills he got. Tora took the sudden drop in temperature better, but she still had to warm herself up some. Lani, clearly the most excited one of the group, wasn't too concerned about the weather and looked around frantically for any of the Lake Guardians.

"Where are they?" she asked, finding that no one else was there.

"I have to go get them." Aaron replied. "Since they're sleeping again, they don't have a very good grasp on how much time passes by. We're at Lake Acuity right now, where Uxie is, so she'll keep you company until I get Mesprite and Azelf. Sit tight."

Aaron flew into the chilly air outside and hovered about the water's surface. "How should I wake her up this time?" he asked himself. Several ideas crossed his mind, each more hilarious than the last, but he decided on an old favorite. "Hey, Uxie!!" A huge explosion of water erupted from the lake. It would have drenched the pink cat had he not prepared a psychic barrier beforehand. Moments later, the yellow-headed psychic, Uxie, emerged from the lake looking upset. "Hiya," Aaron said cheerfully, completely ignoring her mood.

"Don't you 'hiya' me! Why do you... Have to do that?!" Uxie said holding back the urge to shoot a psybeam at him.

"It's still fun to do that. Anyway, I need you to do something for me."

"Really? Is it so important that you needed to wake me up? Couldn't you have found someone else?"

"I think you'll like this. I brought the girl I told you about and her trainer, plus a pink dratini, who's a really big fan yours."

"A pink dratini?"

"Is that really all you got from what I told you?" Aaron asked with a sigh.

"No, it just stood out from the other things," Uxie said. "But you brought your girlfriend here? Does this mean you two are together now?" Aaron looked away sheepishly.

"Well... No. She doesn't know how I feel yet..." At this, Uxie smacked him over the head with her tail.

"What have you been doing all this time?! Why doesn't she know?!"

"I haven't seen her in a few weeks because I-"

"A few weeks?! How are you supposed to get the girl you like if you don't talk to her?!" she scolded.

"Sorry. I went visit my parents and meet my childhood friend again. Time just... Sort of flew by while we were catching up and stuff..." Aaron was still rubbing the spot she hit him. Uxie sighed.

"Come on, Aaron. You need to get your head in the game. Love is something that you need to work for. You have to show her that you have the potential to be the male of her life, the one she can turn to when the world fails her, the one who's shoulder she can cry on, the lover above all others, the-"

"Alright, I get it!" Aaron shouted, cutting her off before she got stuck in a loop. "All I have to do is show her what I'm made of and she'll eventually start to like me. I can do that."

"Just don't be too forward with your feelings; you'll make her uncomfortable. Remember when you got excited and accidently poked her with your willy?" Aaron groaned as he thought back to that incident. "You don't want that to happen again. Take your time. Remember; good things come to those who wait." Uxie stated.

"That sounds familiar... But, back to why I woke you up, I need you to entertain them or something until I come back with Azelf and Mesprite."

"Sure. Try to convince those two to behave before you come back."

"I'll try," he sighed. With that said, Aaron left the yellow-haired psychic to round up the other lake guardians.Meanwhile, there was a discussionon the same topic going on inside the island cave.

"He's not my boyfriend!" Tora shouted for the umpteenth time. Apparently Lani had confronted Tora about what shethinks is going on between her and the pink psychic. Chris had tuned them out, deciding that, after a couple warning glares fromthe chu, that he should stay out the conversation and focus on staying warm the best he could.

"But he was hitting on you!" Lani insisted. "You were acting all goofy around him too."

"How was I acting goofy?"

"You kept shuffling around and playing with your tail, you gave these dumb responses to his sweet talking, and to top it off, your face was red the entire time."

"M-m-my face was not red..." Tora denied with a slight blush.

"You're doing it again," the dragon pointed out with a smug look. "I know you like him."

"Why do have to accuse me of being together with nearly every guy you see me with?"

"I've only accused you once before and I'm absolutely sure this time."

"That's what you said last time." Lani fell silent in thought for a moment.

"Well, if you don't like him like that, then I'm pretty sure he does." Before Tora could say more, a small grayish-blue figure with what looks like yellow hair appeared in front of them.

"Hey, what're you guys talking about? I like talking too." Needless to say, Uxie's sudden appearance stunned the pink dragon in awe, while Tora and Chris greeted the small psychic, but were just as excited. "No need for introductions, I know who you all are. Aaron's told me and my other siblings all about you all, except for you," she said pointing to Lani. "He told me there was a pink dratini, which, to be honest, sounded kind of weird. Now that I see you up close and in person, you're a cute little dragon."

"Really?" Lani gasped, to which Uxie nodded. "Thank you. You have no idea how much that means to me coming from you."

"I think I have an idea. Can I ask you a favor? I know it's a big deal meeting us and all, but try not to make it a BIG deal. I want to be treated just like everyone else, okay?" Lani nodded her head. "Good, now..." She moved over to Chris. "You must be Chris. You're a handsome young man. I heard that you were in an unfortunate accident. It's nice to see that you made a full recovery."

"Heh, thanks ma'am," Chris said with a goofy grin and a slight blush on his face.

"Please, don't call me ma'am. It makes me sound old. I'm only over some number higher than ten years old."

"Some number over ten years old?"

"If I wanted you to know my age, I would've told you." Uxie said with a slight giggle.

"Afraid I'll think you're too old?" Chris said jokingly.

"Aaron wasn't kidding when he said you like to push buttons. I can already tell we're going to get along. Tell me, do you plan on competing in those large tournaments that are held every few months or so in those large stadiums?"

"The Pokémon league? Yeah, I plan on competing in it. You wanna come?"

"Oh, no no no," she said shaking her head. "I was just curious. I've never personally attended one, mainly because I lack the ability to transform my body, but I hear it's exciting. Could you tell me all about it once you're finished competing? I would like to hear about all your experiences there."

"Sure, no problem," Chris replied. Uxie bowed her head in thanks and moved on to Tora.

"I've heard a good deal about you, young chu. I can see why Aaron's taken a shine to you."

"He has?" Tora asked.

"Of course. He's told me everything that's been going on between you two, even that little thing that happened when he... got a little excited from that hug at the door," Uxie said with a smirk. Tora's face felt a bit warm at the mention of that night.

"Oh, right... I didn't think that would happen..."

"Aww, don't tell me you didn't like it? You got a perfectly good male turned on from such a simple embrace and you didn't think of capitalizing on that? Personally, I would've had him wrapped around my little fingers by now, but that's just me. I guess it's because you're still young and still have that bit of innocence inside you that you freaked out a lot worse than he did. I wish you could've seen him when he told us what happened. It was so cute." The psychic giggled while she recalled that day. "Anyway, it's nice to finally be able to see who's grabbed his attention so much." Uxie floated away from the trio and thought about what she could do to entertain them for a while. "Who's up for a game of Twenty Questions?"

Aaron appeared at Lake Valor, eager to get this trip done as soon as possible. If knew that if he went to Mesprite first, then trying to tell them to behave would be like trying to get a grass type to learn flamethrower. He knew that with Azelf under control first that Mesprite would be somewhat tame... or at least he hopes so. The psychic cat braced himself for whatever was coming to him.

_"Azelf, you awake down there?"_he called into the water.

_"Huh? That you Aaron?"_Azelf called back.

"Yeah. I came to get you so we could play today. I brought some guests."

"Guests? Sounds... fun. Can you come... back in...a couple minutes? I'm uh, kinda busy right now."

_"Busy? What could you possibly be doing down there that doesn't require sleeping?"_Aaron asked, now curious as to what was going on.

"You'd be... surprised. You sure it can't wait?"

"Well... I kind of want to hurry this up, but-"

_"Okay, I'm coming."_Azelf's head breached the surface of the water. "So, what's this about you bringing guests?"

"Well, remember that raichu I told you guys about? I brought her, her trainer, and a dratini over to spend the day with us and... Are you okay?" Azelf was making grinning at the pink cat and was starring rather intensely. He also seemed to be breathing bit heavily.

"Never better. Say, I can't see that bush there. Can you tell me if there are any pecca berries in it?" Not really sure where this was going, Aaron turned around to look for the bush Azelf was referring to. He scanned the shore for a few moments, but couldn't see any tree or bush with berries in it.

"I don't see anything. Where're you looking?"

"It's... right over there. Can't you-mmh... see it?" Aaron tried once again to find whatever the blue psychic was looking at, but to no avail could he find it. He was about to turn back around, but he heard Azelf whisper something under his breath. "Oh, yeah. He has such a nice ass..." Putting everything together since he started the conversation, it didn't take Aaron long to figure out exactly what Azelf was doing in the water. His face turned a little red at this. Resisting the urge to confront the psychic, Aaron simply lifted his long tail a little to give him a better look at his rump while still looking like he was trying to find that bush. If it means that they'll get a move on sooner, he'll put up with being Azelf's... Visual aid until he was done.

Aaron heard Azelf make a sharp gasp a few moments later and turned a darker shade of red. "So, you ready to go yet?" Azelf asked. "I was waiting on you t-to... finish..."

"Getting off? Aww, then you showed me your cutie booty on purpose? You're so sweet." Azelf shot out of the water and embraced Aaron from behind, making the pink cat jump and squirm a little uncomfortably.

"Aww, you guys look so cute," a familiar voice said. Both psychics looked over to see the one and only Mesprite giggling at them. "Are you two putting on a show? I'll give you each four Oran berries if you suck each other off at the same time."

"Ooo, kinky," Azelf commented with a smirk.

"What?! No! We're not doing that!" Aaron shouted, freeing himself from the blue psychics' grasp. "Jeez, wait. What are you doing awake anyway? You usually try to sleep as much as you can."

"Yeah, I know," Mesprite replied. "But some kid had a bad dream near the lake and his fear sort of got to me. I haven't gotten a wink of sleep since last night. I bet it was that stupid vampire who gave him that nightmare!"

"Darkrai?"

"Duh, who else?! He knows that I'm sensitive to others emotions and he does what he wants anyway! When I see him again, I'm gonna blast him out my territory with badass psycho power!"

"Don't you mean 'psychic' power? Even if you did mean it, our psychic powers have no effect on him," Aaron pointed out.

"That doesn't mean I can't hit him with a tree... Or a rock... Or something sharp." Azelf laughed at her frustration while Aaron just sighed.

"Look guys, we kinda have to get going. I-"

"Yeah yeah, I know. You want to get back to your not-girlfriend so you can sweet talk her into getting with you."

"H-how did you know?"

"I chatted with Uxie just a little while ago."

"Then can you two promise to be on your best behavior? At least try to contain yourselves a little bit?" Aaron pleaded. Mesprite and Azelf looked at each other before nodding and smiling.

"We promise," they said together with the most innocent eyes anyone could imagine. As much as he wanted to believe them, Aaron couldn't help but feel uneasy. He would actually feel much better if they had outright refused to behave. At least then, he'd know what to expect from them.

_"I can already tell that this is gonna be rough for me,"_he mentally sighed.
