This story is deditcated to my cousin, Marine Private Kyle Ferin, and all service men and women. Thank you to those who guard our way of life and our freedoms.

U.S.-México Wall, Arizona; Monday, Febuary 22, 2020 >2130 Hours, UTC-07:00, T

** ** Along the wall where U.S roads connected with Mexican roads at each check point their was a special squad of U.S Marines. These unites were called "The Uniform-Sierra-Mike Guards."

** ** Vigil, a staff sergeant--and a Spanish speaker, sat behind Captain K. Ferrin. Vigil was nicknamed Dos Espadas, due to the katana and wakizashi. Vigil had gone to college to become a Spanish teacher, but due to the need of troops who were bilingual in English and Spanish, he was recruited.

Ferrin, looking forward form the HMMWV, spoke to Vigil, "Dos Espadas, you awake, cousin?"

Not a touch of sleep and wide awake, Vigil answered, "Affirmative, sir."

"D.E., you need to losen up. Yeah, you're the only Ensifer Marinus, but, dude, realy." Second Lieutent J. González said.

"González, you should have met his mom. She was over protective untill he was twenty-four. And how old are you, Dos Espadas?" Ferrin spoke in his cousin's deffence.

"Two X's, V, two I's." XXVII. 27. Vigil said.

"Huh?" González said as he pulled up to their check point: Charlie-Papa-1kilo.

CP-1K was 1 klick (kilometer) north from the Wall on I-19. Their duty: cheek every supicious vehicle.

One km north from U.S.-Mex. Wall; Tuesday, February 23, 2020 >0315 Hours, UTC-07:00, T

Between 22:00 Hours and 06:00 Hours, the trafic was usual U.S. military vehicles, but an unmarked, black van driven by a hispanic-looking man.

A private had the driver pull over. "All yours, Dos Espadas. He speakes little English."

Vigil kept his thumb up against the tsuba on his katana. "¡Buenas días!, señor. Por favor, salga del vehículo." Good Morning, sir. Please get out of the vehicle.

The man did not move. The Marines pointed their M-16A2's at the van.

"Haga éste tan fácil por usted mismo, y salga del vehículo." Make this easy for yourself, and get out of the vihicle. Vigil unseathed his katana. "Nosotros vamos a buscar los ilegales en el vehículo. Si no sale; se podremos matar, y se mataremos, si no obedice." We are going to search for ilegals--[which happen to be people and/or drugs]--in the vehicle. If you do not get out; we can kill you, and will, if you do not comply.

"¡Mueran, imbéciles!" Die, Imbecils! The man pulled a handgun...

...but before he could pull the trigger; Ferrin, González, and the private each put a bullet in the man.

Then there came the screams of women and children. Ferrin motioned Vigil, González, and the private over.

"Ok, Vigil, Private open the doors." Ferrin ordered When they opened the doors, Ferrin and González saw ten or fifteen young women, all around sixteen to twenty years old.

"Can you speak English?" Ferrin asked in a kind voice, the women shook their heads. He turned to Vigil. "Translate: You are safe, we will get you medical help." Vigil translated.

The women called their heros, "Los Santos De La Noche." The Saints of the Night.
