Energies of the body
Year 432 a.r.
The body is host to several different energies, some we know and understand and others we know nothing about. In this scroll I will discuss the three main energies of the body, my theories on the other energies are far too advanced for the students that this scroll will teach.
The most commonly known is the energy that feed witches' spells. This goes by many names in many languages but the most common is Mana. Mana is formed in the body by the mixing of the spirit and the living body. The brain is the gateway that allows Mana into the body when a witch forms spells. Over use of magic causes stress and can lead to physical damage to the brain and pathways of the body.
"Spirit" energy or Psychic energy is another energy, commonly used by shaman and psychics. Most scholars believed these to be separate energies but after much work I have proved that this is not true. This energy is used to sustain part of the mind or spirit outside of the body. This energy is produced by the spirit itself and usually only builds up inside a body, more is used outside of a body than is produced. This energy can be channelled to form a corporal body out of a spirit but will last nowhere near as long. In this manner a skilled shaman may extend his life beyond his body for a short period.
The final energy is the energy of life itself. This energy is not produced by the body but is generated in the mother's belly. It is slowly burnt away to sustain the body and when it runs out the body perishes. There have been many attempts to generate this energy but all have failed. Those who seek immortality must find away to make this energy last longer or find a source for it. Life energy is far more potent than Mana and can be used to vastly increase the power and effects of spells but this shortens the life of the witch. Life energy feeds a witches' "death curse".

Year 474 a.r.
It has come to my attention that a few individuals have found a source of life energy. Other living things. I have met with an immortal and she has revealed to me that she takes the life energy of others. After reading my scroll she realised the effect she was having. Every time she "fed" on someone she was shortening their life. After discovering that she undertook her own research and discovered that during pregnancy the mother becomes a gateway into Gaia's plane. She can feed on the energy from that gateway with no ill effects to the mother or the child and from it gain a full lifetime's worth.
She would not tell me how she feed on life energy and my on experiments have been fruitless.
