Before reading, right now it's pretty clean, but it'll be getting more and more "mature themed" as it progresses so if you don't like gay sex or stuff going by that way, leave now. Oh also, if you're younger than 18 you should go too...anyway here it goes, my third submission in a long time.
It's in times like these...when we realize how much a friend is worth...
As the sun went down the sky and bathed the industrial sector with orange light, two teen dragons sit on the edge of the rooftop of a warehouse, staring into the horizon.
"Matthew...are you sure we will be safe in this town?" At this, the silver dragon with spiky gold hair turns to look at his peer "Not quite Alex...there's no place fully safe for us...but I have a gut feeling we'll be fine here"
Fine...how long have I been waiting to hear that...
The day the two dragons attended the local school, their classmates knew there was something fishy with these two newcomers, something about them wasn't quite fine, but nobody wanted to ask them first. It wasn't very cool to Alex, however, Matthew didn't seem to mind. That day, it would be the first time they had to separate so each of them could attend to their respective classes, Matthew was one year older than Alex.
"Alright students, everyone please be nice to our new student, Alex Briar. He's come from very far and is very pleased to join our class" Alex couldn't help notice how deep his teacher's voice was, even for an eagle, it was too deep, he half heartedly introduced himself to the class, wanting desperately for the break hour to meet with Matthew again.
As he sat down on the only empty desk, he noticed two female wolves whispering to each other and giggling, and a muscular cougar sitting right behind him, and in front of his desk, a lean green male iguana wearing some sort of gardening gloves, upon catching sight of him, the iguana smiled heartily, however, the cougar gave him a sly grin, Alex sighed as he sat down with his notebook.
"Hello, I'm Norgent, pleased to meet you" the iguana waved at him, turning around to see him. Alex half smiled "Oh, pleased to meet you Norgent, my name's Alex" he sensed the iguana was going to be a good friend to him, Alex was quite surprised that he couldn't sense anything about the cougar behind him. He had suspected at least a hint of smugness but he felt nothing. Alex being a light elemental dragon, he could sense if the intentions of those around him were good intentions, on the other hand...Matthew was exceptionally well at sensing ill willed intentions from others around him. When the two of them were together, they'd aid each other with the powers they had besides this sensing ability.
"Good morning Matthew, please feel free to sit down and join us. Everyone, make sure Matthew feels comfortable, if I find one of you trying to ruin his first day I'll make sure you get a detention" Matthew felt a terrible threat aura coming from the crocodile teacher, he then turned to see his new classmates, he didn't sense any dark feelings in them, in his insides, he wished Alex had been lucky enough to have classmates like these. He sat down on the only empty desk in the middle of the classroom, nobody turned around to greet him, Matthew didn't mind at all, he was almost used to people not noticing him. He eagerly waited for the day to end, so he could spend his time with Alex.
When the bell rang for break, Alex quickly rose from his desk and raced out of the room to the cafeteria, not even noticing the iguana Norgent sprinting after him, he didn't care about anything, he wanted to see Matthew so badly. He smiled when he noticed his best friend sitting alone in an empty table, sipping slowly from a can of Pepsi, he went to sit in front of him, Matthew put down his can and smiled at Alex, holding up an apple "So, how was your day Alex? Mine was pretty...whatever" Alex took the apple from Matthew and bit it "Kind of good Matt...but it's not as good as if it would be with you" Matthew smiled back at Alex "Well Alex, I think you've got a new friend there" he gestured at the iguana standing behind Alex, Alex giggled as he turned around "Oh Norgent, would you like to sit with us? There's plenty of space here" He sensed the happiness bubbling out of Norgent, the reptile smiled and sat down next to him, babbling happily. Matthew smiled at Alex, both of them enjoying each other before the next class, ignoring what the iguana was babbling about but commenting every now and then.
