Outside the village a black kodo gallops across the grasslands, a black furred figure on it's back. A nearby orc patrolman glances at the tauren's sable fur and spits in disgust as he passes by. "Grimtotem filth." He sneers. Rohukarlo; exile of the Grimtotem clan, hitched his lizard to the post outside the clan hall and pushed aside the fur flap covering the entrance. "Zig? Are you still around?" The shaman called out. Brauner grumbed a bit against the warrior upstairs, Rime mentally poking the back of his skull as he'd heard the voice from downstairs. It wasn't enough to wake him, but enough to make his arm faintly press on the warrior. Zig stirred slightly, but was deep asleep. The warrior knew how to get rest when it presented itself. Rohu walked up the stairs to the living quarters, He raised a brow at the scent coming from the shower. "Guess you had another go with Arukan" He snorted. Brauner murooed softly in his sleep, body pressed tightly against Zig's, his tail wagging weakly in his slumber. Rohu scowled as he went over to the warrior's quarters and stepped inside, intent on telling Zig to clean up his mess, when he stopped short upon seeing the while bull on the bed with his leader. Rohu scowled again at the pair. He stomped his right hoof angrily, and the spirits answered his request to shake the room, causing a sound like thunder in the lodge.

"Huh, what?!" Zig shot up in bed; awake and alert. Brauner's spine shivered as he woke up letting out a snort of cold air as adrenaline slips through his system from the sudden disturbance. Rohu stepped back as he senses the sudden rush of eldritch power, as well as a wintry gust. "What sorcery is this? Who are you!?" Rohukarlo demanded. Brauner instinctively covered his exposed body with his paws trying to calm himself down and resist the urge to slug the sudden threat to his well-being. "The fuck is going on Zig!"

Zig began calmly, "Brauner, I would like to introduce you to Rohukarlo, our resident shaman. And Rohu, This is Brauner, our newest member." "Charmed" The shaman growled before turning back to the warrior. "Trying to replace me so soon?" He asks with a hint of a grin. The sudden event made Brauner feel heavily uncomfortable to which he spoke up. "I....think I'm going to go to my own room Zig.." Zig put his arm around Brauner's shoulder and held him close. "No, don't leave Braun, Rohu i thought you'd show more civility to our new recruit." "Yes, and i see you've already marked him as your own, Judging from the mess in the shower stall." The shaman said in a low tone. "So white bull" He glared at Brauner. "What is your story? How'd you end up under Andar?" Brauner blinked a little bit in confusion before repeating the name. "Andar?" "Ohhhhhh?" Rohu cocked his head. "You get plowed and you don't even know his real name? You have to know that 'Zigzahal' isn't a standard tauren name. This is a fine situation" The shaman laughed.

He hated people like this shaman, looking down on people to make themselves feel better about their own troubles. Biting his lip Brauner stood up and ran past the two bulls, Eventually coming to his room. Once inside he promptly filled the arch way with water and froze it to keep everyone out, Back pressed against the ice he couldn't hold back his tears. "This...is what you get B..." was all he said out loud.

"Go apologize to him, right now." There was in Fire Zig's eyes and steel in his voice. "Fine, it's not my fault he didn't look before he leaped" Rohu capitulated. The shaman sighed as he followed the path of Braun's flight top the formerly unoccupied room. "Uh.... Brauner?" the shaman called out. Brauner remained silent; he was sitting on his bed now. He may have iced the arch way to his door but it was still semi transparent. The snow white bull was still nude with his arms wrapped around his legs.

Rohu muttered a short chant to the spirits of fire, rasing the room's temperature to balmy levels, and melting the archway's ice wall, allowing him to walk in. "Uh..." He scratched at his mane. "I'm not good at this, uh... not killing stuff. So, uh, sorry if I offended you or anything... Are you okay, kid?" the shaman leaned in. Brauner was trying to hold back his tears as he responded. "Please....Just leave. Haven't you treated me like trash enough." Rohu snorted. "You have no idea what it's like to be treated like trash. How easy do you think it is to be an outcast from the Grimtotem clan? No one here will even talk to me without including a threat, and my own family wants me dead. I know more about being treated like trash than you think" Rohu snorted again and turned to leave. Brauner sighed softly, Standing up he began to walk over to his clothing. "I know what it's like to be hated just for being different. To be hunted even as a mere child; for one's father to uselessly throw his life away to protect such a child. You should understand how I feel right now shouldn't you?" Rohu stopped, standing still in the doorway. "My father taught me how to gut a centaur before I could walk, but my mother...." His voice trailed off. "I never knew anything about her until I had my first vision. My ancestors showed me the truth, how my father kidnapped her, forced himself on her, and how she died bringing me into this world; the child of her greatest nightmare. But she came back, to try and free me from that life."

"I must admit I'm rather jealous you had someone protecting you, even from beyond the grave." Brauner was picking up his clothing off the ground now, it seemed he was leaving. "I wouldn't wish our pain on anyone. It's something no one deserves to live through." "Hmm... not as bad as your father beating you everyday for not gouging out your foe's eyes in the last battle." Rohu sighed. "Still, I'm sorry about that business before. I don't have many opportunities to be social." Brauner's tone was relaxed and yet hurt as he put the last of his clothing on. "I appreciate the apology Rohukarlo." Searching for the right words, Rohu spoke slowly. "My room's next to Zig's. I.... I think we might have alot to talk about... umm... you want to, uh, talk now then?" Rohu asked, shifting his weight from hoof to hoof. Brauner let out a sigh looking at the shaman, he knew how much it hurt to be in his current position, he knew that this was a pain Rohukarlo knew all to well. "Yeah... I think I'd like that if you'll accept." After a pause Rohu responded. "I... accept. Though I'll warn you now, I'm not known for being chatty." "Rohu, I can't say my life has been filled with speech either. I think we've both had a similar past and that alone should let the words flow."

"My room is just over here" the black-furred shaman motioned for Brauner to follow him. His room was dimly lit; a series of totems leaned against one wall near the fur-covered bed. Brauner nodded softly and followed behind the shaman looking at the totem within the room once he stepped inside. Not making much of a sound before his eyes wander to the back of the shaman before him. "So...What is it you wanted to talk about, newbie?" Brauner snorted softly at the term but decided it was best to be civil and at least attempt to befriend the shaman. "I felt that when Zigzahal spoke of you when we met.....well, I don't know honestly. I thought that I would've found someone whom knew what I'd gone through. A kindred spirit in a sense." The shaman turned around at the comment and looked to the white bull. "How are we similar? I was raised to be a brigand and a murderer. What kinship can you find with a scoundrel like myself?" Brauner frowned and let his heart pour out to the shaman. "The pain and sorrow of being alone; to have no one beside you. I know it's like to be alone, to be looked upon like nothing more but a smudge on someone's boots. I understand no one deserves to be treated like that."

Rohu's ears perked up at that. "What? you mean....you've been scorned too?" "Look Rohu, i grew up in a different world in our nether. In that world taurens don't exist, i was looked upon as a freak and a monster. Someone you should not speak nor look at. It's painful to know that people would deny you the right to even exist." Rohu looked away so the white tauren wouldn't see the tears forming. "I was always told that the Grimtotem were superior and that everyone else was unworthy. Then I left the tribe and found that everyone hated me, solely for the color of my fur and my clan-name" Frowning the ivory bull curled his shirt trying to sit sill. "I don't know much about the cultures of Azeroth because of my 'upbringing' but people will always hate you for what you are. Not who you are.....All you can do is show them, prove them wrong. If they won't change then they can't see past blind malice and hatred in their hearts, they do not deserve to know you Rohu. the shaman kept his back to Brauner. "Do you.....think I'm a monster?" Brauner placed a paw on the shamans back. "No... i think you're just hurt, and you need someone who understand the pain all to well in your heart to tell you that it's ok."

Rohu slowly turned around, his eyes shining with moisture. "I can't stand it; I just wanted a place to call my own. People to call me their own, even among my own race I'm an outcast. Zigzahal, he.... he's given me a family at least." The bull frowned and opened his arms to Rohu. "I know; it hurts so deeply inside the fibers of ones being. but i won't judge, for it is not my place. Zigzahal cares for you and it shows. Perhaps it's that same feeling that made him have a leap of faith with me." The shaman embraced Brauner. "I know he cares, I'm just afraid that I'm doing him more harm then good by being here. Grimtotem aren't welcome anywhere, Horde or Alliance" Brauner held him close to his body letting out a soft sigh. "If the thoughts of those around us mattered, would he have taken any of us in? Our feelings matter, more then some faceless ghouls Rohu, your clan doesn't matter in his eyes nor does it within my own. You are Rohu and that's what we see within you. "Thank you, I'm sorry i was so rude to you earlier." The shaman said simply. "I'm glad you feel better now, everyone deserves a chance at life" Brauner couldn't stop himself from smiling at Rohu.

Regaining his composure the shaman snorted gruffly at white bull. "Just don't tell anyone, okay? I have a reputation to preserve. Brauner couldn't help but chuckle, he stuck his tongue out which revealed a gold stud inside it. "I promise that such feelings shall be kept in private between us alright?" Rohu let out a sigh "Good, I'd hate to have to relapse into my old ways" He said menacingly before chuckling slightly. "I don't think I've told that to anyone" "The past is just that, the past. It's best for most people in life to keep it as such for it would stop us from moving forward." Brauner let out a deep sigh, Maybe that was what his father had hoped for him. It made the bull feel guilty and upset that it took the pain of another for him to realize a less his deceased father taught him by sacrificing his life. "Thanks for your help, Brauner" Rohu straightened. I, uh, I look forward to working alongside you."

"Us" the bull corrected silently before shifting his weight. "You can sense him within me can't you." Rohu closed his eyes and concentrated for a moment. "What is this force you possess? I sense, I sense a great elemental power nearby." Swaying his tail from side to side Brauner hesitated before speaking again of his unusual companion. "His name is Rime, he is a demigod, the child of a corrupted water spirit. His father sought to destroy Rime when he happened upon me in Ashenvale. He asked me to merge with him, that he needed my help." Rohu looked at him for a long minute. "I'd normally call you crazy, but i can feel it around you. How do you keep him so well hidden?" "I'm not really sure. It might be the fact he's residing within someone mortal, or the fact I was raised in a different world. I've never had to conceal his presence before. it just happens." Rohu spoke with concern upon his tone. "Does it ever, you know, make you do things? I know that possession can often be a problem" Brauner shook his head a little in response but reassured the shaman. "No, when he became a part of me all his power was transferred as well. The most he can do is speak within my mind. Sometimes I forget only i can hear him and I speak out loud."

The shaman raised and eyebrow. "Really? What's it like, to wield that kind of power?" "It's almost pure control over water. Ice. Any form water can take really. It was frightening at first, but I met someone who helped me understand and control it. "Mentors are a nice thing to have" Rohu muttered. "The one who showed me the way of the shaman was always threatening to kill me if I failed even one of his lessons." That's not a mentor then Rohu. No one threatens people who make mistakes. Life happens, we can't fix that." the bull shrugged at his own words. "Like I said, I led an unorthodox life. Still, I can call upon the elements when I need them." Brauner smiled faintly at the shaman and held a paw before him. "We both have led such a life Rohu. It's not important though is it? We have a future ahead of us to shape, together. Do we not?" "Rohu sighed as he accepted the outstretched paw, "Thanks for the pep talk."

"I feel like something still troubles your heart however. Does anything else dwell on your mind?" Brauner shook the paw gently before letting go. "I'm fine, I just need my rest. Calling is a spiritually taxing process." the shaman growled. Shrugging Brauner let the subject matter drop and started to walk towards the flap to the room. "I believe i shall retire to my own room then, I feel that I'll need my rest to meet the rest of the clan." "Yes" Rohu agreed. "Don't worry though. Arukan and Kalanos aren't half as hard to deal with as I am." Before stepping out of the arch way he turned to the shaman one last time. "If you ever feel the need to speak to me privately....don't hesitate alright?" Thank you, newbie...er...Brauner. I'm also here if you need my brand of surliness." Rohu said before lying down on his bed. Brauner smirked a little and closed the flap. "We all need a little aggression in our lives Rohu." "Where do you find these guys, Zig?" Rohu wondered as he yawned and closed his eyes." "What an interesting life I'm starting to have" Brauner mused to himself before trotting back to his own room, promptly removing all his clothing and letting out a sigh of relaxation once he felt the bed of soft pelts brush against his ivory fur.
