Chapter Fifteen

Tyler stepped out of the pokémon center into the cool night air to be greeted by most of the small town's populous waiting around the field. He nearly let out a whimper, uttered instead by Lava. As he neared the crowd parted and allowed the trainer and his pokémon through

Tyler blushed as he looked around at the crowd, almost too nervous to move. He nervously straightened his shirt and walked forward, hoping he didn't trip. Shadow followed at his side, reassuring her mate that he looked just fine and nothing was showing. Still she was rather anxious herself; she never really liked big crowds even as an eevee

"Big audience," Tyler commented as they took up their place

"Wonder if they heard about us"

Tyler suddenly remembered how the nurse had barged in on them earlier. It was one thing to be walked in on while fucking your pokémon, but she came in just as he'd started filling Shadow up. He anxiously looked at her back side, trying to see if there were any remnants left behind.

Not finding anything in the dark, he turned his attention to the whispering crowd. His face heated up and he really wanted to leave now

"Don't worry," Shadow assured him, "we'll win this, and then we'll have some fun where no one can interrupt"

'Please don't do that right now' Tyler thought, nearly whimpering again at the thought of so many eyes on him and his unorthodox mate

Tyler took a deep breath and cracked his knuckles, looking across the wide patch of grass at Lily, the second gym leader of his home region.

She was a fairly attractive woman in her early twenties, wearing a pair of grass green shorts and a matching tank top showing off her athletic build. Her hair was light brown with her bangs dyed bright green. On her belt were three pokéballs holding her grass types.

Shadow sat on her haunches next to Tyler and gazed up at the moon. It wasn't quite full just yet, maybe halfway, but it was just as captivating to her as ever. She always felt stronger whenever the planetary body was visible above her, especially when it was full. And it cast just enough light that her eyes weren't bothered by the brightness like the sun or partially blind like in a cave and even her other senses seemed stronger. To her, every blade of grass stood out in incredible detail, she could hear every whispered word, and even smell the remaining spunk in Tyler's shorts and her own crotch.

Lava, the usually timid pokémon, sat on the other side and slightly behind Tyler. She was eager to begin burning something despite the many eyes on her. She may not show it, but she enjoyed battling, always knowing just how to react and when, unlike when she talked, where she stuttered against her will and never knew quite what to say or how to act. Plus, ever since she'd joined Tyler, she loved how he praised her afterwards. Even a quick "good job" was more than Bradley ever gave her in a week.

Slash just stood behind to his adoptive mother, trying to figure out what they were doing here surrounded by people, and even he could sense excitement in his companions. Deciding that someone would probably be tell him soon enough, he found a small bug crawling on the grass to hold his attention. He carefully positioned his scythe so that the bug smoothly transitioned from the grass to bone and began playing with it by flipping and angling his scythe around and observing how it crawled along.

Around the cleared out area, the town buzzed and fidgeted, everyone trying to find just the right place to see by. They always loved a good fight, especially a gym battle with a new trainer, why else would they live here. Then there were the rumors spreading around about him and that umbreon he had

"You ready Lily?" the referee asked from his post off to the side.

Lily tossed out a pokéball, releasing what could be described as, in an aroused state, a yellow condom with goodly eyes and leaves on either flank. Otherwise you might say it looked like a flower.

"Lily chooses weepinbell! Challenger?"

"Lava?" Tyler asked the fire-type

Lava shook herself, loosening up afew muscles, and sparked her flame pits a little. She walked forward proudly, grass versus fire, this would be too easy.

"Challenger chooses to use quilava! The challenger may make the first move!"

"Tackle," Tyler started out

Lava charged forward towards the weepinbell

"Vine whip"

Two thick vines launched out of weepinbell's leaves and raced towards Lava. She easily side stepped one vine and jumped over the second. Leaving the vines behind, she crossed the field and slammed into weepinbell, not exactly causing a lot of damage, but made it hop backwards afew paces

"Wrap"

The two vines turned and caught Lava in the back, coiling around her and squeezing, making her gasp and struggle against their hold

"Flamethrower!"

Lava's flames ignited, though none of the vines were covering them unfortunately, and released a blast of fire that sliced through the vines, making them withered and thrash to put out the flames. With nothing supporting them, Lava dropped and the vines fell off her.

"Sleep powder"

Weepinbell spat out a fine haze of blue spores that spread out to hang over half the field, the haze drifting slowly down onto Lava. Despite her attempts, the spores settled into her fur. Lava couldn't help the feeling of sleepiness that suddenly gripped her. She tried to fight it, walking back towards Tyler. But that quickly turned into stumbling over her own feet until, with a final effort from her, her body gave out and she collapsed into unconsciousness

"Lava!" Tyler called, but she remained unmoving other than her shallow breathing

"Growth"

Weepinbell's body glowed bright green and its body enlarged like it was evolving. By the time it stopped glowing, it was twice its original size

"Wrap"

The two vines, regenerated, shot back out and grabbed Lava. Tyler continued to call out while the sleeping body was dragged towards weepinbell like prey to a hunter. When she was within range, the weepinbell pounced and engulfed Lava's entire body, slowly crushing her in its maw

"Lava!"

Unfortunately for weepinbell, Lava tends to dream. And right now she wasn't having a very good dream. Lava was pinned down, under Bradley who was running his hands all over her, roughly feeling her and crushing her body under his weight. She thrashed back and forth, clawing and biting, but he wouldn't release her

"What the hell?" Lilly asked herself, watching weepinbell try to keep its prey under control

Lava screamed out, claustrophobia kicking in, and redoubled her efforts. She loosed a stream of fire, but it was ineffective in both imagination and reality since in the real world her head was poking out of weepinbell's mouth, allowing her to breathe.

"Get! OFF!" Lava howled, her flames igniting and coating her body in the fires, her fur turning into rippling heat.

Weepinbell screeched and spat out the flaming Lava, then hopped frantically to try and put itself out. Lava yawned and slowly woke up. She was startled for a moment by the fire coating her skin, but managed to put it out easily enough.

"Return," Lilly called, returning the smoldering flower to its pokéball, then tossed out another

Out of the orb appeared a quadruped, green-blue dinosaur with a pink flower bulb on its back.

"Lily has sent out ivysaur! Will the challenger switch pokémon?"

"Lava, comeback," Tyler called

She returned to Tyler's side, glad for a soft pat on her head and a "good work" from him.

'Ivysaur, probably only her second strongest pokémon,' Tyler thought, 'should I use Shadow or try Slash?'

'Does he even know any attacks?' Shadow intruded

'Good point, so I should risk using you against two of her potentially strongest pokémon?'

'Sounds good to me'

"Alright then, let's go babe"

"Don't call me babe," Shadow growled as she walked forward, "I don't like the pet name thing. I think"

"Challenger chooses umbreon! As the looser of the previous round, Lilly may make the first move"

"Vine whip!"

Two vines came out of the bulb on ivysaur's back and headed straight for Shadow.

"Quick attack" Tyler countered

Shadow took a dramatic step forward, then turned into a black and gold streak. To her, everything slowed down into an agonizing crawl. She easily passed between the two vines and jogged over to ivysaur. What to her was a tackle hit him with all of her built up momentum, sending him skidding backwards while everything caught up to her perception and returned to normal

But now the vines had turned around for a second attempt at grabbing her.

Shadow used ivysaur as a springboard, trying to get as far away as quickly as possible, but to no avail, the vines were too close

"Shadow ball" Tyler called

Shadow released an orb of dark energy that sliced through the closer of the two vines, causing it to thrash around and bleed green, chlorophyll based blood. Unable to launch a second attack in time, the other vine managed to wrap around Shadow's left hind leg.

Shadow turned to face the annoyance, but she was lifted up and quickly slammed into the grass, releasing her afterwards but leaving her stunned for a moment.

"Poison powder!"

A fine haze of powder was released from ivysaur's bulb and washed over Shadow. It caught in her fur and sunk into her skin, making it feel like her blood was turned to fire. While Shadow managed to stand and retreat out of range from ivysaur, Tyler grabbed his side and growled through clenched teeth. Shadow's synchronize would have transferred the poison to ivysaur, if it weren't already a poison type

Slash was rather confused, his mother seemed to be getting attacked, but neither his father, who seemed to be pain, nor Lava, who did look concerned, was making any move to help her.

'Shadow, we've gotta finish this quickly,' Tyler groaned, "psychic!"

Shadow focused past her pain to gather the necessary mental energy for the attack. Once it was there, she loosed it as a wall of force that slammed into ivysaur, knocking it off balance.

"Shadow ball!"

"Ivysaur, dodge", ivysaur leapt to the side with more grace than one would expect from such a squat creature, "charge for solar beam"

Tyler gave a rather confused look, "there's no sun here"

"You should broaden your studies, what does the moon reflect?"

"...the sun" Tyler grumbled, looking around at the crowd

"Good boy, it may be weaker than normal, but it'll do"

Tyler felt a spasm of pain race through his body, nearly falling to his knees, "Shadow, use psychic again while he's charging!"

Shadow, in the same predicament as her master, quickly charged and fired a condensed orb of psionic energy. This time, ivysaur, distracted by his photon gathering, was sniped perfectly between the eyes by the attack, skidding backwards from the energy released. That didn't stop him from releasing his own attack however, a spear of energized light racing towards Shadow.

She would have dodged, if it weren't for another jolt of pain from the poison in her system. As such, the beam slammed straight into her side, cracking her ribs. Both Tyler and Shadow howled, but that wasn't going to stop them. Tyler dug his fingers into his side and called out "quick attack!"

Shadow dug her paws into the ground to fight the force of the solar beam and surged forward, slamming into her recovering enemy.

"Leech seed" Lily commanded

Ivysaur released a grouping of seeds from its bulb that latched onto Shadow, burrowing under her skin and sapping what life force the poison wasn't already taking and giving it to ivysaur.

Tyler, his pokémon now in double the trouble, quickly thought up a counter, "shadow ball!"

Shadow loosed yet another blast of darkness that, at point-blank range, ivysaur couldn't hope to dodge. And so he was again hit in the face and launched into the air by the explosive force.

"Psychic!"

Still in the air, ivysaur couldn't dodge the blast of psionic power that swatted him like a fly straight into the ground until there was a deep hole and he passed out.

"Ivysaur is no longer able to battle!" the referee announced

Shadow gladly returned to Tyler for a loving hug and a quick antidote, as well as some weed killing. Even so, she was too weak to fight for much longer.

"Lombre, go!"

In a flash of light appeared a, uh, monkey/frog with a lily pad sombrero on its head, I don't fucking know.

'Shit, Lava can't fight a water type,' he thought

'Slash?' Shadow offered

Tyler pulled out his pokédex and examined Slash's move set. "I guess that prototype thing has some perks to it. Slash, you ready to fight?"

"Kab"

Slash had watched both Shadow and Lava fight and thought he had the hand of it, plus he wanted to impress his parents and Lava. So he took what he thought was his place opposite the weird green thing.

"You're going to use a pokémon that I have not only an advantage against, but also a double resistance? As you wish, charge solar beam!"

Lombre's dish glowed as it absorbed the lunar rays, preparing to fire.

"Slash, aqua jet"

Slash was totally lost, what was an 'aqua jet?'

"Kab?" he asked, turning to look at his father

"That's right, he's a kid," Tyler groaned and Shadow slapped him with a psychic

While Slash was trying to figure out what he was supposed to do, lombre finished charging and fired the beam of super-effective photons.

"Watch out!"

Slash turned just in time to see the beam before it hit him. The brunt of the blast was taken by his armor, but he was still hit hard in the chest and forced backwards several feet.

When the attack died down, Slash was supporting himself by one of his scythes and giving lombre a death stare.

"Slash?"

Something at the back of his mind leapt forward, as did his body. He released a stream of water from his mouth that surrounded his body like a watery flame wheel as he raced towards his opponent.

The water/ground slammed headfirst into the lombre, who barely moved from the resisted attack.

"Night slash!"

Something else clicked inside his mind, making dark energy collect in his blades like they had before in the forest. In a swift movement Slash lived up to his name and sliced through lombre's body, sending it sprawling.

"Hydro pump!" Lilly commanded

Lombre rolled to his feet and sent a torrent of water at Slash. The blast hit, more refreshing Slash than damaging.

"Blizzard!"

The familiar sensation went through Slash's mind as he unleashed another jet of water. This time, however, as soon as it left his mouth, the water turned into a super chilled powder that froze the hydro pump into a giant icicle that hit the ground and shattered. But it didn't stop there, the condensed beam of icy powder colliding with lombre and frosting its grassy body.

"Use nature power!"

Lombre glowed slightly before it released a haze of spores from its lily pad.

Hoping to do as much damage as he could Tyler commanded another blizzard

Slash released another stream of frozen powder, but not impacting anything immediately, they coalesced and dozens of fist sized blocks of ice slammed into lombre.

This didn't stop the nature power, and so Slash was confused when his muscles locked up and scared when he couldn't move no matter how much he tried to.

"Charge another solar beam"

Lombre charged and fired another blast, this one slamming into the paralyzed Slash from just feet away, consuming him in the light rays and explosion.

"Slash!"

When the smoke died away, there was a long trench dug into the earth with no sign of the fossil. After a second, Slash dug himself out of the soil and shook the dirt off his head, annoyed.

"Kabutops!"

"Slash, giga drain"

Slash's body glowed green while he ran forward and slashed lombre. As his blade passed through, a good chunk of the toad's life-force went with it and restored Slash's.

"Fury swipes!"

Lombre's claws glowed and he slashed against Slash's chest. Slash only got hit once before he nimbly dodged the second and third attempt. Once he saw an opening, Slash returned the attack with a swipe of his own blades that sent lombre stumbling backwards.

"Finish it with blizzard"

Slash released one last stream of hail that struck the recovering lombre. The grass pokémon finally gave up and collapsed.

"Challenger Tyler is victorious!"

Lily returned lombre and crossed the arena to stand before Tyler, offering him the badge and a "well done"

"Thanks"

Tyler held up the badge dramatically, "I got the leaf badge!" Shadow face palmed, tempted to tackle him. Actually, she did, slamming into his chest and taking him down to the ground with a scratch attack across his face. Tyler growled and grabbed her

Lilly looked at the two as they started wrestling in the grass, "I'd also like to give you some advice"

"What?" Tyler coughed, Shadow still atop of him regardless of his best efforts

"You should be more careful where you have sex"

Tyler and Shadow blushed, her getting off him and he standing up, looking around at the very close observers "*he he uh* you heard about that?"

"Nurses aren't exactly known for keeping secrets"

Tyler groaned, but needed to know something. "Are there any, uh, laws against it?"

"It's not really illegal, but it is rather taboo. Some cities have tried to make it 'against the rules' within their borders, but they can't do anything too serious about it. You might spend a night in jail or get thrown out for even minor offenses. Though if someone is pissed off enough, and had the right connections, they could get you thrown out of the league or even your pokémon confiscated for 'abusing' them"

"Great," Tyler groaned

"But I don't have any problems with it. You're still welcome here anytime"

"Thanks," he said, shaking her hand

"Can we fuck?" Shadow chirped

Tyler slapped himself and Lilly chuckled, "not exactly bashful is she?"

"Nope," Tyler growled

"Well...the crowd could always use a show. And ivysaur can do some*he*great things with those vines"

Shadow looked around, the thought of fucking in front of so many people making her both wet and nervous. Unfortunately, Tyler would have none of it, "we're leaving"

"But-" Shadow tried to argue

"Now!"
