First Love, First meeting
Seclusion, it's the best way to live your life. No one you have to look after, worry, be betrayed by, get angry at, feel sorry for and no one to talk to beside myself, which is ok. By the way, my name is Miatsu Zuboski, I'm a wolf. I have an ocean blue fur and an endless meadow of green in my eyes. I don't really have a personality that no one likes its just that I'm shy. I don't live near anyone, which is a paradise. No noises or busy days, no one asking for anything from you. However I do hand out candy on Halloween at the bottom of my driveway. The one holiday I really can enjoy because I get to scare the crap out of people. I've slightly became infamous because of it, everyone in the village looks forward to see what I have planned next Halloween. It's honestly enjoyable to be living up to expectations, for something like this. Some Kitsune and other wolves always say, "Can't wait for Halloween!" I'd smile and go about my business and leave. I work from my house selling things like furniture and stuff over the internet. My life is set celebrating that one holiday every year which is fine with me. However recently I've been getting presents on Christmas. At 3:00 p.m. starting two years ago, my doorbell would ring and there would be a box sitting in the snow. The colorful little box was addressed to me from a secret admirer. Last year I caught a glimpse of my secret admirer. She was blurry because I just woke up but I could tell she was a wolf for sure. The image was burned straight in my mind and stayed there until the day before Christmas. Now that I caught up the date, I was determined to strike up a conversation with her. I awake at 1:00 p.m. and get dressed and waited till the time. Suddenly I was out cold destroying my one minute thought plan. I was abruptly woken up by a loud ring. I go to the door and I hear a low achoo. I burst open the door to her surprised and embarrassed look on her face. There was enough awkward silence to silence an entire country. Then she broke the unbearable silence.
"Umm... I'm really achoo! Sorry." She says frozen in her spot.
"There's nothing to be sorry about." I assured her with a warm smile. "Do you wanna come in? You seem to have a cold, I have some medicine you can use in my cabinet. Also, I started to make some soup if you want some..."
"No I don't wish to trouble you," she quickly said waving her hands. She couldn't really hide her desire to come inside. It looked as if she was using all her strength to keep from going in.
"Do you really think your troubling me?" I questioned her with a smile. "I do nothing all day besides play with the presents you've recently been giving me." I put my hand behind my head let out a little embarrassed chuckle. Her cheeks became as red as blood as she inches her way closer.
"Achoo! Thank you for your hospitality Mr. Zuboski." She starts to walk in faster and I jump in front, of her blocking her way. I get in her face and she begins to blush,
"Do you think I'll just let you in? I only need one thing from you."
"What?"
"Your name miss,"
"Kodomichi Satoi achoo!"
"Well welcome to my house Kodomichi Satoi." She slowly walks out of the blizzard into my cozy little house carrying her present. I direct her to sit next to my fireplace and wait while I go get medicine. A moment later I come back with two pills and a cup of water. "Here take this," I hand her the stuff and she looks at them curiously. "Don't worry its medicine and water." She takes them.
"Thank you Mr. Zuboski I'm really grateful."
"Please just call me Miatsu. May I open that present?" looking at her box in her lap.
"Oh yes of course." She hands me the present that started to shake the box." Don't shake it! And you can call me Kodomichi."
"oh sorry" I begin to rip off the wrapping paper and then stopped in awe. It was an ice sculpture (made of pure ice so it doesn't melt) of two wolves ice skating around a heart. The thing was one wolf was red and the other was blue and the heart was a mix of the two. The rest of it was the regular color of pure ice, which is beautiful.
"Kodomichi...this is amazing! I don't know how to thank you." I was examining this true work of art to find a brand or logo on it. From what I can tell, there was none.
"Well this hospitality is thanks enough," she replied. She noticed that I was looking for a trademark sign on it and blushed. "My father works with pure ice, I just asked him if I can use some. When I finished, I made the two wolves red and blue because..." her face was completely red by now.
"Because?" I ask being completely clueless.
"The red one represents me," Kodomichi motions at her body to make notice that her fur is red." and the blue one is you," motions to me with my blue fur." and me and you are skating in the ice rink of love." She started to make me blush.
"Oh I like that symbolism, though this maybe out first meeting, I do believe we've fallen in love with each other." At this point I try to hide my fully red face from her by going and putting on the table to the left. When my face went back to its regular color of light blue, I rejoin her on the floor. " I think the soup is done, do you want any? It only has meat and some carrots."
"Yes please." I go to the kitchen and come back with two steaming bowls with spoons.
"Hope you like it, this is the first time I cooked for someone else." I admit sheepishly. She takes the bowl and begins to eat it.
"Its delicious! I never tasted anything like this in my life!" She exclaims with a smile. Suddenly a ring ran through my house." Sorry that's my cell,"
"Oh ok I'll leave the room." I walk into the kitchen so I can't listen in on her phone call. This is my first guest, I thought, I can't be rude to my first guest. I occupy myself with magnets on my fridge but can still hear murmurs from the other room. There was a little giggle and then an ending tone.
"You may come back now." Kodomichi called to me. As I reenter she looked a lot comfortable and happier then before.
"Out of curiosity who called you?" I asked sitting next to her. She fiddled a bit.
"It was my mom asking where I was. She knows I do this and that I'm usually back by now."
"ok" I reply feeling the warmth coming from the fireplace. "So how are you enjoying your stay?"
"Its wonderful! Thank you so much!" Kodomichi thanked." I really must be going though I really wish I could stay. It was really fun, spending time with you Miatsu." She stood up and made her way to the door.
"If you wanna visit me again you can," I called. " However try to tell me that you are first. But please, it gets really lonely here but if you don't that's ok." A smile grew on her face and her eyes lit up like stars.
"Really!?" She took a moment to calm herself, "Really? Thank you, I will come over every other day, I promise."
"Thank you so much!" I bow in thanks as she leaves, and looks at a picture of my dad on the wall." I'm not as detached from society as you think." END!!!!!!!!!!!!
