EVIL DOESN'T DIE BOOK ONE CHAPTER THREE.

It's been a few days since I last posted. Since then, I've been busy researching the stuff that I write. Needless to say, I've turned up some interesting things, all of which will be used to give you readers a scare. Anyways, in the last chapter, Ariel meets Eric, and drives him all the way to Michigan. The last chapter ended with the revelation that the demonic Aaron is watching him. Anyways, this chapter will start off from where chapter two left off. So, without further-ado, LADIES AND GENTLE-FURS, CHAPTER THREE OF THIS SERIES HAS ARRIVED!

People don't believe in things that

Go bump in the night. They don't believe

Until they have a first hand experience.

Location: Eric's motel room. Time: 9:45 a.m. Eric's point of view.

Eric walked out of the bathroom, wearing a towel around his waist. Who doesn't love a nice shower? Smiling, Eric walked over to his bed, and grabbed the boxers that he had placed on the mattress. Dropping his towel, Eric put on his boxers, covering his naked sheath, and then proceeded to put on the rest of his clothes. Walking up to a full length mirror, and checked to see if his mane was out of place. He was happy to see that it wasn't, so he turned away from the mirror, and went back to his bed. He reached under the bed, and grabbed his gun and sneakers. I'm going to enjoy my hunt in the woods today. And hey, maybe I'll see Ariel again. Whiskers twitching at the thought, Eric put on his shoes, and slung his gun over his shoulder. Checking himself in the mirror one last time, Eric walked out of his motel room, closed the door, and ran straight into Ariel. "Watch where you're going, cabr?n." said Ariel, not noticing that he was talking to Eric. Startled by the harshness of Ariel's words, Eric grabbed the boy's arm, and turned him around to face him, "Ariel, it's me. It's Eric. Why'd you call me a cabr?n?" Ariel's eyes widened, and he immediately started apologizing. "It's okay Ariel. It was my fault anyways." said Eric. Relieved, Ariel stopped apologizing, and then regarded the gun on Eric's shoulder. "Boy, what are you doing with a gun over your shoulder?" Eric looked back at the gun, and then to Ariel, "I'm about to start my hunting. And why did you call me boy?" Ariel raised an eyebrow, but didn't say a word, leaving him and Eric to stare at each other awkwardly.

Finally, after a minute and a half, Eric was the one to break the silence, "listen Ariel, if you're not to busy, could you take me to a certain forest, so that I can go hunting?" Taken a little off guard by the question, Ariel could only nod. "Great! By the way, why are you dressed like an agent for the F.H.B.I?" asked Eric as he locked the door to his room. Ariel looked down at his getup, and blushed slightly, "Um...yeah. This getup was for me to be able to investigate a murder." Eric's eyes widened, "you a detective or something?" Ariel shook his head, but didn't pursue the matter further. Slightly confused, Eric didn't say another word. Instead, he followed Ariel out of the hotel, and to his car. Why would Ariel want to investigate a murder if he isn't a detective? 'Sides that, why won't he explain why he's investigating? Those two questions occupied Eric's mind as both he and Ariel got into Ariel's car, and started driving away. Unbeknownst to both of them, a wolf was standing at the darkest corner of the hotel parking lot, watching the car leave the hotel area.

Location: Ariel's car, a mile from a forest. Time: 10:01 a.m. Ariel's point of view.

Eyes on the road, Ariel opened his mouth, and started speaking to Eric. "So what you gonna be hunting cabr?n?" Eric turned his head to stare at Ariel, trying to figure out what a cabr?n was. "I'm gonna be hunting deer. And what's a cabr?n?" asked Eric. At first, Ariel gave no indication that he had heard Eric's question, so Eric was surprised when Ariel gave him an answer, ten minutes after he had asked. "Eric, don't take this the wrong way. A cabr?n is a prick, or a motherfucker. That is, when it's directed at people you wanna insult. When it's directed at people like you...it's more of a way to express that you're a friend." With those words, Ariel shut his mouth, and placed 100% of his attention on the road in front of him. Ariel's words gave Eric something to think about, the rest of the trip to the forest. For the next ten minutes, Ariel drove the car, and didn't say a word, until he finally reached the forest. As soon as he saw the first trees, Ariel pulled his car over to the side of the road, and unlocked the passenger side door. "We're here." Ariel said simply. Nodding his thanks, Eric stepped out of the car, and walked into the forest, not once looking back. Watching Eric's moving form, Ariel leaned back into his seat, sighing. I can't get close to anybody. Every time I do, that person ends up either traumatized, or dead. But there's something about Eric that makes me think that I can get close to him. Or at least, that I need to get close to him, to protect him. Shaking his head, Ariel put his car in drive, and drove off, leaving Eric alone in the forest.

Location: the edge of the forest. Time: 10:10 a.m. Aaron's point of view.

Aaron watched Ariel drive off in his car, with an emotionless face. When he heard the sounds of the wheel's, and the car's engine fade away, Aaron started walking across the street, and into the forest, stepping lightly. When he reached midway into the forest, Aaron stopped, and kneeled down onto the forest floor. His eyes turning red, Aaron let a claw out of one of his fingers, and used it to carve a pentagram into the forest floor. When he was done, Aaron started speaking, "bring me a pack of hell hounds." He repeated the sentence five times, and then repeated it five times in Latin. On the last repetition, the pentagram lit up, and started twisting inwards. Aaron smiled, overjoyed by what was going on. The pentagram continued twisting, until it was completely gone. Ten seconds went by, and then the pentagram appeared again, only it was ten times as large, and a pack of hell hounds was standing on top of it. To make sure the hell hounds didn't attack him, Aaron kept his eyes red. The hell hounds regarded Aaron, noticed the eyes, and obediently waited for their commands. Smiling, Aaron got up from his knee, and gave the hell hounds their commands, "bring me the lion by the name of Eric. Bring him to the abandoned hospital on the other side of town. Oh," said Aaron as he paced in front of the hell hounds, "and I want the lion alive. Or I will slaughter the lot of you." With those words, Aaron waved his hands, and set the hell hounds on their way.

Location: a hotel room in the same hotel Eric is staying in. Time: 10:20 a.m. Ariel's point of view.

The light in the hotel room was turned off. The only illumination was from candle light, coming from candles arranged in a pentagon. Ariel walked up to the pentagon, and looked down at the drawing of a pentagram that he had made. Making sure that no one was outside his door; Ariel picked up a knife, and pressed it against the palm of his right hand. Muttering softly in Latin, Ariel swiftly cut his hand, drawing blood. Sucking in his breath, Ariel let some of his blood drop onto the pentagram. Almost instantly, the flames of the candles flared up, almost hitting Ariel in the face. As if he didn't notice how close he was to burning his face, Ariel grabbed a map he had placed on the floor, beside the pentagram, and placed it directly in the center. As soon as the paper touched the blood-stained floor, it burst into flames. Looking at the flames, Ariel uttered five words, "show me where Aaron is." With those words spoken, Ariel waited for the flames to die down. A full minute later, the flames went out, the entire map burnt to a crisp, except for one area. Picking up the unburned area, Ariel regarded it closely, then placed it in his pockets, and proceeded to wash away all traces of what he had been doing. _You're a dead man now, asshole. _Nodding to himself, Ariel grabbed his stuff from his bed, and headed out the door.

Location: Eric's location in the forest. Time: 11:00 a.m. Eric's point of view.

A baby deer lowered its head, feeding on the grass in front of it. The deer's ear swiveled around, paying attention to any signs of an incoming predator. Suddenly, the baby deer heard a twig snapped, and lifted its head. Turning its head in the direction of the noise, the baby didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, so it returned to eating its grass. A minute later, the deer was lying on its side, a bleeding hole in its neck. Whiskers twitching, Eric got up from where he was lying down, and slung his smoking rifle over his shoulder. A perfect, clean kill. This deer is going to feed me for the next couple of days. Smiling, Eric walked over to the body of the dead baby deer, and picked it up by the antlers. As he slung the body of his shoulders, Eric heard a deep growl. Furrowing his brow, Eric turned towards the direction of the growl, but didn't see anything there. That's weird. I thought for sure that I heard a coyote or wolf. Shrugging, Eric started walking, focusing on getting out of the forest. As he was walking, he heard more growling, and the sound of several twigs snapping. A little rattled, Eric picked up his pace, wanting to get away from the forest as soon as possible. He was going was walking so fast, he didn't notice where he was going, and tripped on a root._ Son of a bitch! I think I twisted my ankle._ Grabbing his ankle, Eric continued cursing himself out, when he heard the growling noises again. Eyes widening, Eric turned his head to the source of the growling, and was scared to see a huge black dog in front of him. "Oh shi....." was all Eric could get out, before he blacked out.

Location: An abandoned hospital. Time: 11:10 a.m. Ariel's point of view.

Ariel slowed his car to a stop as he reached his destination. Turning off the car's engine, Ariel glanced at the building in front of him. Said building was made of brick, and was two floors tall._ An abandoned building. They always choose these kinds of places. I wonder why._ Smirking, Ariel got out of his car, and headed over to the trunk. Pressing his thumb on top of it, Ariel patiently waited for the fingerprint recognition system he had installed to do its thing. A second later, Ariel was opening his trunk, and looking at his arsenal of weapons. Let's see, I'm gonna need a bottle of holy oil, and the angel's sword that was given to me, _thought Ariel as he grabbed a black bottle, a short, bronze plated sword, and a pack of matches. Putting the bottle and matches in his trench coat, Ariel ran his thumb against the blade of his sword, and then attached it to his belt. Mentally steeling himself, Ariel walked up to the building, opened the doors, and stepped inside. Face grim, Ariel cautiously walked into the center of the building. Breathing lightly, Ariel took out the bottle he had put in his trench coat, opened it, and poured the liquid out onto the floor, in a circle formation. Just as he was finishing, the lights in the building flared up, effectively blinding Ariel. _Urgh, son of a bitch. I can't fucking see. Covering his eyes, Ariel staggered back, until he felt his back hit a wall. I hate these fucking supernatural creatures. They all seem bent on trying to blind me for good. Cursing loudly, Ariel slowly uncovered his eyes, and blinked rapidly. Slowly but surely, his vision was restored, and he could see again. What he saw however, made him wish that he was still blinded. Aaron was standing right in front of him.

Location: abandoned hospital. Time: 11:15 a.m. Aaron's point of view.

"Hello Ariel. It's great to finally meet you." laughed Aaron. Smiling, the wolf walked up to Ariel, and backhanded him across the face. Ariel let out a yelp of pain as his head jerk to the left. Chuckling, Aaron walked away from Ariel, and started speaking. "Ariel, I'm pretty sure that I'm the first demon that you've ever met. But I'm pretty sure that you know that I'm able to kill you without a second thought." Ariel looked at Aaron with no emotion in his eyes. "So what you're saying is, that you can kill me anytime you want, but you wanna talk to me before you do." said Ariel. Aaron growled, and walked up to Ariel, until he was three feet away from him, "listen smart-ass, I suggest you watch the way you talk to me. I will kill you." Ariel just looked down at the ground and smirked, "it's gonna be a little hard for you to do that." Aaron looked at Ariel in confusion, until he saw Ariel light a match, and drop it on the floor. Aaron watched the match fall onto the oil soaked floor, instantly igniting the oil. Growling in anger, Aaron could only watch as the fire spread, completely surrounding him, and sapping him of his demonic powers. "You know demon, the key to running a convincing bluff is this: sometimes you have to hold all the cards." said Ariel with a smile. Aaron looked at Ariel with anger in his red eyes, but that soon turned to glee when he heard the sound of his hell hounds entering the building. "Ariel, I suggest you turn around. There's someone you might want to see." Not trusting the demon, Ariel took out his gun, loaded it, and pointed it at the wolf as he turned around. What he saw shocked him. Eric was being dragged into the building, in the jaws of a black dog.

Location: same place. Time: 11:25 a.m. Ariel's point of view.

Ariel quickly pointed his gun at the black dog, and squeezed off a round, hitting the dog in the forehead. The hell hound let out a whimper of pain as the silver started burning through its brain, until there was nothing left, completely killing it. Dead, the dog let go of Eric and slumped to the floor. "Eric, wake up!" shouted Ariel as he kept his eyes on Aaron. The demon simply chuckled as he heard Ariel's shouts. "It's no use Ariel. The bite of a hell hound has saliva that has bacteria that is meant to keep a person in a coma....forever. I do have an antidote. I just need your word that you will let me go, and I'll provide It." said Aaron. Ariel looked at the demon with pure hatred in his eyes, then looked at Eric, _are the lives of millions, really worth the life of a person I only meant today? This is almost like the day that Asmodeus killed my mother. You know what, back then, I wasn't able to save her. I'm not about to let the same thing happen to Eric._Cursing himself for the decision he was about to make, Ariel gave Aaron his answer, "I'll let you go demon. But first, you give me the antidote, since I really don't trust you." Aaron smiled, and reached inside a pocket of his pants. When he took out his hands, he held a small vial of a green liquid, "Just pour this into his mouth, and he'll be good as new." Holding his gun out in front of him, Ariel reached over the flames, and took the vial from Aaron. Aaron let Ariel take the vial, without any problems, and then stepped back. "For your sake demon, this better work" said Ariel as he walked over to Eric's prone body. His gun still trained on Aaron, Ariel opened the vial with his teeth, and then quickly poured the contents into Eric's mouth. When the vial was empty, Ariel threw it to the side, and rubbed Eric's throat to make sure he swallowed the antidote.

Location: same place. Time: 11:30 a.m. Eric's point of view.

Almost immediately after Ariel was sure Eric had swallowed, Eric let out a gasp, and grabbed at his throat. Coughing, Eric looked up to see the face of a concerned Ariel. "Ariel, what are you doing here? And where the fuck am I?" As he asked those questions, Eric turned his head, and saw Aaron in his fire prison. "Ariel, why is that wolf inside a ring of fire?" asked Eric nervously. Ariel looked at Eric, then walked away from him, and walked up to Aaron. "Okay demon, you held your end of the bargain. Now it's time to hold mine." Eric stared at Ariel in surprise; did Ariel just call that wolf a demon? Does that mean that the supernatural actually exists? Before he could pursue the thought further, Eric was interrupted by the sounds of fighting, and a fire being put out. Turning to look at Ariel, Eric was surprised to see Ariel holding his own against a much bigger wolf. As he watched the action unfold, Eric could hear words coming out of Ariel's mouth, "you fucking demon! I'm going to kill you for hurting that lion!" Eric took in everything Ariel said, and then blacked out, for the second time as he realized that Ariel had said the word demon.

Location: same place. Time: 11:45 a.m.

"Okay demon, you held your end of the bargain. Now it's time to hold mine." said Ariel. With anger in his eyes, Ariel took off his trench coat, then took off his shirt and wrapped it around his shoes. When he was done, Ariel put his trench coat back on, and then walked over to the ring of fire. Looking Aaron straight in the eye, Ariel stamped out a two foot sized portion of the fire, then stood back. Watching Ariel step back, Aaron stepped out of the ring of fire, and straightened his clothes. "Well Ariel, I must thank you for letting me go. Unfortunately, that was a very stupid idea." said Aaron as he jumped towards Ariel, and punched him in the jaw. The force of the punch sent Ariel reeling backwards, clutching his jaw. When he stopped stumbling back, Ariel brought his right index finger to his lips, and felt blood. "You lousy fucker. I was planning on kissing someone tonight. How do I do that with a fucked up lip?" asked Ariel as he kicked Aaron in the thigh. Aaron gripped his thigh, and hopped backwards, hissing in pain. "Hey boy, why would ya kick me for?" asked Aaron. Ariel rolled his eyes, then reached into his trench coat and took out his angel sword. As soon as he took out the sword, Ariel could tell that the atmosphere in the air had changed. The air was full of the scent of fear, which was coming off of Aaron in waves.

Ariel looked down at his sword, and smirked, "don't worry Aaron; I won't be using this here sword until you're knocked out. Or....at least till you make a mistake." With those words out, Ariel dropped the sword on the ground, and motioned for Aaron to come towards him. Snarling, Aaron obliged, and was soon muzzle to face with Ariel. Before he could even blink, Ariel felt a fist connect with his stomach, knocking the air out of him. Grimacing, Ariel got down on one knee, and clutched his stomach as he tried to get air back in his lungs. "Wolf, you shouldn't have done that. You just gave me full access to start cheating." said Ariel as he punched Aaron in the groin. The demonically possessed wolf let out a yelp as he brought his paws down to his groin. Ariel let a small grin appear on his face as he got back to his feet. It's the same with every supernatural creature that has a penis. They will all feel pain in that area. Snickering, Ariel got into a fighting stance, and then kicked Aaron in the stomach. As the wolf doubled over in pain, Ariel turned his back on the wolf, then reached back, and wrapped the wolf's neck in a three quarter face lock, with the back of his right arm. When he was sure that the wolf's jaw was on top of his shoulder, Ariel jumped an inch off the ground, kicked his feet out in front of him, and landed on his ass. The move brought Aaron's jaw crashing down on Ariel's shoulder, effectively dazing the wolf.

Smiling, Ariel got back on his feet, and turned to look at the wolf. "Well Aaron, I won, you lost. Any last words fucker?" Aaron looked up at Ariel, spat in his face, and then swung his leg at Ariel's right kneecap. With a loud shout of pain, Ariel fell to the floor, clutching what he knew, was his broken knee. Shit! Now what do I do? This demon won't give me time to regenerate this wound. I'm gonna have to do something to end the fight, and soon. Gritting his teeth, Ariel watched as Aaron got up, and stood over him. The wolf gave Ariel an evil smile, and then picked up both of Ariel's legs. Still trying to figure out a way to beat Aaron, Ariel didn't notice what Aaron was doing, until he felt claws digging into his stomach. Looking down, Ariel noticed that Aaron's right foot-paw was on his stomach. Urgh, this feels like hell. But wait a minute; this could be the opening I needed. Using only his feet, Ariel knocked Aaron's paws off of his legs, and then wrapped his legs around Aaron's, bringing the wolf down. Gritting his teeth at the pain in his legs, Ariel, knowing that he had Aaron's leg in a leg scissors hold, reached for Aaron's ankle. When he had the wolf's ankle in his hands, Ariel immediately started to twist it in an awkward direction, putting constant pressure on it, causing Aaron to writhe in pain. After four minutes of seeing Aaron in pain, Ariel heard a sound that he was looking for, the sound of a bone snapping in half. As soon as he heard that sound, it was followed up by the sound of a pained howl. Smirking, Ariel let go of Aaron's leg, then crawled over to his sword. Grabbing it, Ariel got up, and limped towards Aaron. The wolf could only look up at Ariel, begging for his life. "I said I would let you go. But I never said I wasn't going to kill you afterwards." said Ariel. With those words spoken, Ariel clutched his sword in both hands, and raised it above his head. "Die demon." said Ariel as he brought the sword down into Aaron's chest. The wolf let out another howl of pain, which was abruptly cut off when a bright light engulfed him, and the entire building. After five minutes, the light faded away, leaving behind the body of a wolf, a panting Ariel, and a knocked out lion._ Well, that was my first ever demon kill. And I did somewhat great._Smiling through his pain, Ariel let out a breath, and headed over to Eric's unconscious body.

Location: Ariel's hotel room. Time: 12:00 p.m. Ariel's point of view.

Ariel shifted Eric's weight on his shoulders as he opened the door to his hotel room. Entering the room and closing the door behind him, gently dropped Eric on a bed. Ariel winced as he rubbed his shoulders. That lion is heavier than he looks. My back was almost broken. Sighing, Ariel headed over to the bathroom, and was about to enter, when he heard a vibrating noise. Sure that it was his phone, Ariel reached into his pocket and took out the headset, but saw that it was off. Furrowing his brow, Ariel looked at Eric, and soon realized that the vibrating was coming from the lion's headset. It's his phone. I can't touch it. But sabes que? That vibrating is going to annoy me. I'm picking it up. Not wasting another minute, Ariel went over to Eric's prone form, and reached into the lion's pocket. He quickly found what he was looking for, and took it out. Placing the headset in his ear and turning it on, Ariel's blood ran cold with the voice on the other line, "Eric, I need your help. There's something in the house. Eric ple...." Ariel started grabbing his stuff as he heard the female voice, but soon stopped when he heard an unmistakable male voice. "Hello Ariel. That was Eric's sister. She's now dead. So's your Uncle Ben, and your Aunt Ellen. You're the only person I have left to kill. That day will come on your 18th birthday. I'll see you then. Goodbye Ariel." hissed Asmodeus. Ariel felt tears flow from his eyes as he heard Asmodeus disconnect the line. Those tears of sadness soon turned to tears of rage. "I'm going to get that son of a bitch. If. Its. The. Last. Thing. I. Do." With those words, Ariel slapped Eric in the face, hard. Eric woke up with a stutter. "Go to your room and get your stuff, cabr?n! We're going to your house, now!" shouted Ariel as he grabbed his clothes. Eric took one look at Ariel's face, and quickly went to his room to get his stuff.

As soon as he finished packing, Ariel left his hotel room, and walked to his car. Opening the trunk, he dropped his stuff in, closed the trunk, and then climbed into the driver seat. Two minutes later, Ariel heard Eric rapping his claws against his car window. Glancing at the lion, Ariel opened up the door for him. Eric opened the back door, threw his stuff in the backseat, and then climbed into the front passenger seat. As soon as Eric closed the door, Ariel turned on the car, put it in gear, and pressed down hard on the gas pedal. His car surged forward, and he drifted his car to the left, as he made his way out of the parking lot. Eyes full of anger, Ariel straightened his car, and drove forward on the road in front of him.

Aren't I just horrible? Wait, let me answer that. Yes, yes I am. This interesting turn of events is going to have you guys guessing what's going to happen to Eric. As of right now, only I know. You readers will soon find out, but only once I write the fourth chapter. Oh, and since this will probably never be addressed in any of the later chapters, Ariel got the angel sword from an angel that he had to kill. The reason he killed that angel? It was a fallen angel rebelling against God. Anyways, constructive criticism is welcomed. And look for the next chapter of this series to be out sometime soon. BYE!!!
