"If you want, I can cut this day short for you."

"You sure?" Mira offered. "You just need to finish this.... Wait....."
"What's wrong?"
"The drones.... They're changing their strategy...."
"You program the strategies yourself. You should know what they're doing."
"They're doing this on their own. Wait this is an external hack!" Mira gasped. "Oh shit, Lacyus, get out of there! NOW!" There was a click "ALL UNITS SUSPEND SIMULATION! WEAPONS FREE! WEAPONS FREE!"
Lacyus sprinted for the exit, drawing an oversized rifle.
"Hang on Lac!" Mira shouted. "I'm opening the emerg-DAMMIT!"
"What!?!?
"Control lockout! RUN! DO NOT STOP!!!!" There was a clattering noise, followed by a series of gunshots. "GET BACK HERE HUMAN!!!"
"HUMAN!?!?"
There was a crackling on the radio followed by a sinister voice.
"Die, you freaks of nature! FOR A PURE EARTH!"
Thumps resounded through the test arena.
"Shit!" There was a bang on Mira's side of the comms. "Explosions reported throughout the testing facility! Reports of an armed group of humans exiting through an artifical portal are confirmed!"
Another voice, presumably another test pilot crackled through the link.
"Permission to pursue, Command!"
"Neg! Exit arena and await further instructions!"
A voice with a thick Russian accent followed
"We pursue, we stop trouble now! Permission to pursue!"
"NEGATIVE!!!!"
Lacyus piped up. "As commander in the field, I am authorizing Paladin units 02 and 03 to pursue human squads!"
"DAMMIT LACYUS! DON'T UNDERMINE MY AUTHORITY!"
"Thank you sir! We grind pipsqueaks into dust."
"Much oblaged! Moving to execute orders!"
"Dammit..." Mira hissed. "Just come back in one piece. And no portals!"
Suddenly the ground in front of Lacyus parted and a huge drone sat up. Lacyus raised his arms in defence and the drone lashed out with a huge fist. Lacyus took it in his left arm. There was a sickening cracking noise and Lacyus howled in pain as he flew over fifty meters
"Control restored." Mira reported. "What happened 01?"
Lacyus breath was quick and raspy as he laid on his side. "I.. I think I broke my arm..."
"Can't you regenerate the bone?"
"No..." He hissed. "Only loss of limbs. Bones heal quickly though. Several hours."
"Hang in there. Medic team on the way."
Suddenly, I could feel my mind being shaken. A voice whisped urgently at me.

"Dammit...." Lacyus hissed to himself. "If Sunset can sense this, the last thing I want is for her to come running...."
"....sun...."
Medics ran onto the field, lead by Mira.
"SUNSET!!!"

I gasped as my mind shot back into it's body. I felt incredibly weak and tired, as if I had stayed awake for a week. My mom was franticly shaking me, worry written all over her face.
"SUNSET! ANSWER ME!"
"M....mom... ?"
"Good god!" Mom hugged me tightly. "Don't scare me like that again." She gently stroked my neck. "What happened?"
My strength was rapidly returning. "I dunno... I could see what Lacyus saw and heard."
She smiled. "Looks like your link has just gone up a level."
"What link?"
"Your telepathic link. It's now a syncronus paralell."
"What's that?"
"Close your eyes and clear your mind." Mom directed.
I did and suddenly it felt like Lacyus was sitting right next to me. He suddenly reacted.
*Sunset? What's happening? I feel funny.*
The feeling was incredible. I could feel his every emotion and thought, as well as his calm energy. It's as if he was whispering this all into my ear. And I could sense his broken arm.
*I dunno.* I lied. *What's with your arm?*
*Accident during testing. Don't worry. I'm fine. Just go on with the rest of your day.*

"I thought you said your arm would heal quickly." Mira slugged me playfully in the left arm. I yelped when I felt the ends of the broken bone grind together. "Sorry. Didn't mean to hit you that hard..."
"It's okay." I adjusted my sling. "I should start healing pretty soon."
The two of us stopped at a local market to pick up groceries and to grab a quick snack. Mira carred a couple of paper bags full of fresh vegtables and meat,
Mira stared off into space. "What the hell are humans doing here on Amorphis? I thought only Xenos could crossover."
"Quantam Error?" I suggested.
"No... Their portal was giving off a lot of dark energy."
"Shadow energy?"
"No, sort of anti-energy. You took Dimentional Physics at University right?" I nodded "You should know this. Dark energy absorbs and cancels out any and all energy. It's the only type of energy that doesn't obey the Law of Consevation of Energy.
"So maybe it's a byproduct of their portal... Wait." I stopped walking. "I'm getting that feeling again."
"We're being followed?" Mira's hand drifted towards her sidearm.
"No... Well... Sort of.... It feels like Sunset's holding my hand." Not that I minded it. It made me feel less guilty that I didn't spend the day with her.
Mira sighed. "I'm relieving you of tommorrow's tests and simulations."
"WHAT!?!?" I barked. "I am just as capable right now as I was a couple of hours ago."
"It's to repay you for forfieting your day with Sunset. She deserves to be repaid by me for dragging you away."
We walked in the front door and I was greeted by a phenominal sight. A snow white dragoness sat on the couch with Mr. Mrs Tzura. I instantly recognized her.
"So, Sunset. Now do you believe my theory of your DNA evolution?"
Sunset looked up, frowning. "What do you mean?" I pointed down and she looked at herself. Instantly she blushed. "Wow... I changed that fast?"
Mrs. Tzura nodded. "You changed in the hotsprings while you were 'asleep'"

She smiled at me and took my hand leading me up to our room.

She opened the door and walked in. "So?"
"You were hugging me, but you weren't there. How?"
She explained the whole concept of the Syncronus Paralell link.

The door opened and Rykuu's head popped in.
"Dinner's ready."

"Yeah..." Nephilla smiled and hugged back. "It's my fault I forgot."
Suddenly, I felt a pit forming in my stomach. I wanted to see my mom too. For me, family meant everything. I felt Sunset caress my mind.

"That was very good Mira" Dad commented. "You must get salmon like that all the time from market."
"Actually, Lacyus usually catches it. The only reason he didn't was his broken arm."
"Oh, right!" Lacyus gently poked his arm. Deciding it was healed, he took off the sling.
"Well, we should be off now." Mom said.
"Off where?" I asked worriedly.
"Hotel or inn. I don't think Mira wants us staying here."
"Nonsense." Mira laughed. "This house is pretty damn big. There's a guest room for the two of you on the third floor."
Dad shrugged. "Sounds good." He turned to Mom. "Honey?" She nodded.
Mira directed them up to their room. Afterwards, Mom, Dad, Nephilla and I went stargazing, leaving Lacyus to work on a paper for his university course and Rykuu to play chess with Mira. When we got back, it was about 11:30. Lacyus was still finishing his paper and Rykuu was napping on the couch. After helping Mom and Dad get settled in, I immediately went to Lacyus. He was sitting at his desk, writing furiously, with books and papers scattered all around him. I felt him telepathically lick me.
"Hang on." He said without raising his head. "I'll be with you in a moment."

I checked the clock on the coffee table. 6:00 AM.

There was a click and a groggy Sunset emerged from her bedroom, a blanket draped over her shoulders and her teddy bear clutched in her arms. She rubbed her eyes and looked around, eyes half open. She was now completely white with no trace of her original colorings. Rich, golden yellow elemental marks were developing on her body.
"Lacyus... What's happening....." She mumbled, slurring the words together.
He kissed her and walked briskly down the stairs. "Sorry I have to go so quickly. BHG is having an open house today."
"R...right..... I'm gonnna...." she yawned. "I'm gonna go back to bed. Love you..."
"Love you too."
Sunset turned and slowly shuffled back to her room.
Lacyus snorted in annoyment as we stepped outside. "Could've been quieter."
I shoved him angrily. "What took you?"
"Gloves. Couldn't find them."
We both kept silent from there on, an air of hostility between us. As we stepped into the hangar of the HQ hangar, we were greeted by the two other test pilots both dragons.
The first was Jackeyr. He was blood red with black elemental marks. Like me, he was a Lashdragon. Lashdragons manipulated the states of matter in objects. We nicknamed him Jack the Ripper because he had a habit of tearing his opponents apart with his bare hands and claws. He was often cold and detached, caring only about his next paycheck.
The second was Vash. Vash was a Ebondragon, an earth based elemental dragon. Although we knew very little about his magical powers, we nicknamed him Vash the Smash. That was because of his philosophy. 'If brains fail, brute strength prevails.' Because his first language was Aryian, his english was fragmented, but still understandable. Vash was extremely kind to the verge of annoyance. More than Lacyus.
My nickname was the Bloody Rose and Lacyus' was Liquid because of his ability to transform his body into literally a puddle of liquid shadows.
"Morning Ma'am!" Vash bellowed in his thick Russian accent.
"Good day to you both." Jackeyr said.
"They sell chocolate chip muffin in cafeteria. I save some for you two." Vash tossed us a muffin each.
"Thanks Vash. I'll pay you back later." Unwrapping it, I bit in, savoring the little chocolate chips baked in. "Alright boys. After breakfast, warm the MAS's up and let's get going!"

For the order of events, I have a Mira sidestory, a Rykuu and Neph story and the proper introduction of the Order of the Realms. Each one will work out in any order.
The other thing is I want the characters to do some traveling. If other furs want them to go to their country (not USA, too common)/dimension (in other words, your story), let me know in a comment. I will look at maybe one dimension and one earth location.
