This is a story about the big Chess Tournament at Tail Underground.
This time I take in Sir Raganzi Lockard, Lady Furiva and Farline (all three are my creations).

Checkmate
"Check!" Furiva said as her opponent tried to escape from the trap.
Furiva moved her pawn into an attack position and yelled "Checkmate!"
"And advancing from the quarterfinal is Lady Furiva" Ian yelled out as the crowd went wild.
But, not long after the crowd has gone silent, Ian yelled "The second advancer is Farline!"
"Good job Farline" Furiva said as she gave him a kiss on the side of his muzzle.
"The same with you, Furiva" Farline said as he gave Furiva a gentle caress on the side of Furiva's muzzle with his paw.
Furiva gave out a purr as she felt Farline's paw getting buried in a smooth fur.
"We have now got all four contestants for the semi-final" Ian yelled out with a surprised voice.
"Let's hear" Furiva said and dragged Farline with her.
"The contestants are Furiva, who will meet Farline and Raganzi, who will meet Xi" Ian yelled as the crowd did a fursonan wave (the fursonas respond to the Mexican Wave).
"Looks like you two will make a perfect game" Raganzi said.
"Hello Raganzi and congratulations for a place in the semi-final" Furiva said as she gave Raganzi a kiss on the cheek.
"Well, I don't think that Xi will be any problem for me" Raganzi said unknowing that Xi was behind him.
"You think you can bet me, sweetie" Xi said and gave Raganzi a gentle slap on the butt.

"Hello Furiva" Xi said as he jumped up on Raganzi's back for some riding.

"Well, tomorrow I must meet Furiva and as I looked on her match, she was pretty a heck of a challenge for that wolf" Farline said as he looked on Xi, who playfully headbutted Raganzi, "Hey Xi, how do you feel about meeting Raganzi in chess tomorrow?"
"Well, I will do anything to not lose" Xi said as he purred while Raganzi's paw gently caressed his muzzle.
"Try your best Xi or I will show you the meaning of losing to me" Raganzi said with a playful voice.
"I will Raga, I will" Xi said as he gave Raganzi another playful headbutt.
"Well, I think we can go to the bar and get ourselves some of that God Killer Ale" Raganzi said as he carried Xi to the bar followed by Farline and Furiva.

"For being the last four contestants" all four said and emptied their GKA.

Next day.

They sat down and began to play.
For every move that Raganzi did, Xi countered as a mercenary in war.
It didn't take long before Xi had taken both of Raganzi's rooks.

At this time, Furiva and Farline came down the stairs followed by Ian.
"This two got a little too much of the good" Ian laughed as he took out a brown bottle of the bar and gave to Furiva.
"Looks like it's going bad for Raganzi" Furiva said as she saw Raganzi's gloves and boots go.
"Well, sorry that I wasn't challenging Xi" Farline said as he saw Xi move his pawn into defensive position.
"CHECK!" Raganzi yelled as he moved his queen.
"Good move, Raga" Xi said and countered with his pawn.
Furiva and Farline was amazed by Xi's move against Raganzi's queen, but Raganzi had something on his mind.
"CHECKMATE!" Raganzi yelled with the crowd as he captured Xi's king in a perfect settled trap.
"And the winner is Raganzi" Ian yelled out as Raganzi stood up.
"Nice try, Xi" Raganzi said and grabbed him, "Didn't I tell you not to lose? Come with me now and get your punishment."
Xi yelled with playful fear as Raganzi dragged him up the stairs.
"Well, looks like Xi is going to get what he deserves" Furiva said.
"Yeah, but now we must play your game, to see who's best of us two" Farline said as he walked to the chessboard and sat down in the chair.
"Let's do it" Furiva said and sat down by in the chair on the opposite side of the board.
"Let semi-final two start now!" Ian said.
"The lady first" Farline said and waited for Furiva's opening move.
"You first" Furiva said with a silky voice.
"Okay" Farline said and did his opening move.
Furiva did her opening move.
Farline saw his chance and did the move that was waited by Furiva.
"CHECKMATE!" Furiva yelled out as Farline was surprised.
"And the winner by the legendary two move checkmate is Furiva" Ian yelled out as the crowd went wild.
"Smart moves Furiva" Farline said and received a kiss on the muzzle.
"Let's go to the room, so you can get your consolation prize" Furiva said and dragged Farline with her upstairs.
