Charr woke up to a banging on the steel door to the outside. "What now?" he asked himself getting up. He remembered where he was and what had happened last night. He rushed to the door and opened it. Their stood Casey wherein her combat armor.
"Charr you will not believe this"
"Believe what?"
"This," Casey said flicking the switch on a green box. She pressed a button above the switch and said, "Hello Jack? Cory?" can you hear me"
"How could they where are they? What is going on? What are you doing?" Char asked starting to freak out at his friends strange behavior.
The device crackled to life. "Casey that you? Have you reached the brace yet?"
Holding the button once more she said "Yes it is. Charr is with me he can hear you, Jack"
The device rumbled again, "Charr buddy this thing is awesome im miles away and still can hear what is being said into the box. Quick Give Charr the box and go get Joe she will love this new pre-war thingy"
Casey gave the radio to Charr and took off to find Joe. Charr blushed no-one knew about him and Joe and her seeping in his bed would draw suspicion. at least we didn't make a mess last night he thought.
Pressing the button he said "Jack what's up my man?"
"Not much Charr we found something that we can't move but we want Joe to see it."
"Why?"
"It is an astride. It fell from the sky the empire will probably investigate it by tomorrow so we want Joe to look at it ASAP."
What perfect luck thought Charr. "Yes we'll head out soon Jack"
"Great, flip the switch to turn the radio off so that we don't have to fix it.
"Okay bye"
"Bye"
Charr turned off he radio. Great he turned to go find Joe before Casey could find her. He ran into casey.
"I'm losing it" Casey said, "Joe is gone!"
"No she is in my room she wasn't feeling well yesterday so she slept with me in case she needed help."
"Why didn't you sleep in the ward then?"
"She insisted that she didn't need to." Walking into Carr's room they greeted Joe. "Feeling better yet Joe? Charr said
"Yes much better Charr thanks." Joe Said.
"Let's go Joe, Casey has something to show you and some exercise couldn't hurt"
"Okay" she said flicking her tail angrily
I am in trouble now, Charr thought, she doesn't like lying. Locking up they took wing and followed Casey.
Three hours later Bravo team's POV
Liz: Jack what is going on what was that explosion?
Jack: I don't know where Corey is
Liz: is Harold with you?
Jack: No Corey was with H-
Corey: I'm hit Harold can you Return f-
Harold didn't need to be asked he already had his gun and was returning fire onto an unseen enemy after his fist clip the enemy's cloche died. Harold took cover behind the meteor and signaled for the rest of the team to do the same as the mecha opened fire for a second time.
Corey clenching his bullet wound: Dame this hurts.
Liz: Where in the world did they find that sort of tech?
Jack: Don't be surprised this is the empire we are fighting.
Charr: We are here... WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THA-
Char was cut off when he was hit. Charr plummeted form the sky as Joe dived after him She caught him just in time to pull from the dive and land by Bravo Team.
Liz: what is carved into this thing?
Dropping Charr she examined the stone, while still under fire. The stone started to crack.
Jack Liz and Joe: GET DOWN!
Hunching over the stone started to crack a blue light seeping from it.
Same time same place Mech pilot's point of view.
Pilot: the stone is cracking.
Voce over the radio: Don't let the resistance get that stone. Your orders are simple destroy or capture the stone and any members of the resistance in the area.
Pilot: What the Hell is That? Command the stone is destroyed and something is coming at me fast orders?
Voice: Kill it.
Pilot: Roger, I think this thing came from the stone.
Voice: You are to engage and destroy this thing.
The blue blur swiftly dodged all bullets fired at it. It quickly reached its target. Slicing a fuel line it smashed through the protective bullet proof glass and tore off the pilot's oxygen tube and connected the fuel line. Flipping backwards it blew fire welding the new line to the mask and the mask to the unfortunate victim's head. Content that it was safe for now the blue dracogin turned and laughed at the poor pilot, who was now drowning in fuel.
The pilot lived long enough for him to press the self-destruct button. He slew himself so the resistance couldn't get anything useful from the scraps left behind.
The lone figure looked at sandy remains of the stone it had turned to sand when he had exited it.
Blue Dracogin: I AWAKE ONCE AGAIN.
