The Endeavor: Flight of November 11:43 a.m., 17th of November on 2552. Dyson sits still folding his hands idle in his armor, inside he is reading to himself , shutting off all the outside sound. Noisily groups of marines jump on crowding around Dyson in the corner. Hours on end, he is riding in side waiting to meet his new commander. A green light pops up in his visor; he slowly gets up walking for the exit. Five minutes pass waiting by a wall, and he sees man in his near forties. Dyson: Charles! Where have you been? Charles: Infirmary. Dyson: (Sarcastically) So, you're the bastard I get to follow around? Charles: Nope, you're the CO. I'm just your personal messenger. Dyson: What!? I don't understand, how... Charles: You're a veteran, even though you're a low rank; you should be honored to lead finally a team of your own. Dyson: But people slow me down and I...Charles: Hey, Hey it's ok everybody you'll have all know how it works. Dyson: Do they have the same prototype armor like mine. Charles: Yes.... so does every civilian and officer in this region." Dyson : Why? Charles: Incase the shit hits the fan again. Dyson: Please any other armor... I look like a damn monkey. Charles: Shut up, my god. Come on, I'll take you to meet one of your new team members. Dyson follows Charles down the well lit tunnel. Dyson: Teams only give me the feeling someone will die, and that it was my fault. As their walking down the tunnel, Dyson notices that he's not the only one having to wear this cheap armor. Almost ninety percent of the people he has seen have some type of armor. However, Dyson is different. It doesn't show that he needs Glasses even though his visor gives a big hint. Charles: Here we are. A screen turns on and a featureless face pops up on the screen, its voice sounds like it was sick. A.I.: Salutations, Charles Davis. Charles: Good morning Adam. Isaac this is your new A.I. Dyson: I'm going to have that voice going through my head? Charles : Don't worry. It takes the voice you think with the most. If anything goes wrong, it will transfer to the next team member. This is unusual, most of the time the transmission is too slow, and may be intercepted by rebels or worse. Dyson: It Jumps!? From where does it go next? Adam: November leader's preselected location. Dyson : I get to choose? Adam: No. Only Ens. Dyson Star has authorization to decide of my new back up location. Charles: Sorry. He hasn't reconi-Adam: Incoming transmission...P45 Ariel. Screen pops up with Senior Master Sergeant Ariel Peirce. Dyson: I was hoping to meet you in person. Ariel: Well I assumed you don't like planting liquid explosives. Dyson: I could- provide some - company. She smiles at he camera while twisting some black and yellow wires Ariel :Hmm , and I guess you want teatime to? Dyson: Well I... Ariel: Goodbye Ensign. Ariel walks away from view. Charles: Real charming. Dyson: I tried... Egra Animus walks in the door looking around, the large Elite looks over at Dyson as he reaches for his shotgun. Dyson: Shit! Dyson reaches for his shotgun but Charles blocks him off. Charles : Wait! No! Put it down Isaac! Dyson: Dude, the fuck! Egra looks at him confused and backs away. Egra:Ahem.... I'm. Dyson: The enemy, I know. Egra had this disgusted look on his face, Charles walks Dyson out into the tunnel whispering to him. Charles: He's ok. Trust me. Dyson: since when? Charles: Since they came back. You're not the only one teamed up with them. Just deal with it. Dyson: You can't expect people... Charles: He never killed anyone, maybe that will ease the tension. I chose him just for you. Dyson: Bull... Wait. How do you know... ? Charles: You can read his profile-if you want. Short story of it all is he has no home there. Hmmm. You know how doctors and some "scientist" are , a little more, peace full than others? He only goes after those that get in his way, only thing he has killed, so far, was his own. Dyson nods his head, remembering, when one of his closest friends were in a similar situation. Well. Seriously. Charles: Egra has a lot of information we can use, possibly something on that "silver hole" over there. Egra has walked out of the room by now and is tapping on Dyson's helmet. Dyson' sighs and accepts his new found ally. Maybe they can get along well, due to the fact their both in the same field. Dyson: All right then. Welcome. Dyson puts his hand out to shake, to see how adjusted he is here. To his surprise Egra responds quickly and shakes immediately, with a tight grip, but still seems nervous. Dyson: How long have you been with us? Egra: An -A while. Dyson: how many days? Egra: I haven't kept track. It was more than days. It might have been 3... Dyson listens until there is a loud shaking, the lights flicker and dust falls from the selling. Dyson and Egra both run back inside with Charles. Dyson: Shit! Charles there here! Charles: Hey take this damn A.I. and get out of here quickly. Another explosion rocks the cave. Dyson: We don't have time just kill it! A red bar begins increasing on Dyson's HUD, with Charles still typing. Charles: Shit, take care of Adam. When this is over you bring him back here, understand!? Dyson: Understood, sir. Charles: All right. Your driving out of here take Egra with you. Go and follow Adam's directions. Your Armor is still incomplete. Plasma fire appears around the corner men screaming and running few returning fire. Now the alarm decides to wail and red lights flash. Dyson: What about you. Charles: Go! Dyson runs out of the cave taking Egra's hand running over to the jeep. With covenant forces approaching them from the corner, Charles runs and jumps off the cliff landing onto the top of a pelican leaving the hangar bay. For some strange reason he survived. They jump in taking off. Egra hiding down behind the dashboard while Dyson increases speed trough the tunnels. As he violently turns the corner, he sees a battle in front of him. Desperate, he accelerates towards the bunker door. He looks for his weapon franticly. Egra brings it out holds it up in his face. Dyson sits up, snatches it switching the firing mode. He stands up in the jeep and fires. Explosive buckshot hits a grunt on a turret, sends them both flying at a wall. He cocks his gun and spots his next victim. Four shells of explosive power rips through the flesh of his foe ahead. One shot easily destroys a ghost turning a corner. As he is turning he runs into a brute. It haunches over hanging on to the jeeps hood. To close to use the explosive rounds he switches back to regular shells. Standing up in the seat he aims point blank at the brutes forehead, it comes clean off. The carcass drops and is dragged under the jeep. Dyson sees an open motor pool straight in front of him a flours it there , as he's approaching though the door begins to close from the bottom up. The jeep hits the door catching air, hitting a walkway in the middle of the motor pool, Dyson is flung out. Dyson: Shit, owe! This armor is a real piece of shit. Come on. Adam: Scans indicate the front wheel needs to be repaired before moving forward. Egra emerges from the wreck. Egra: Are you honestly not capable of simply driving? Nevertheless, I am convinced were out of harm's way for now; blue dot says go this way. Dyson: how do you- He sees that Egra's headpiece has changed, it now actually covers his whole face. Dyson is about to question where it came from, but is interrupted. Egra: The dot is getting closer, the green open door. Dyson turn s towards the door and sees another armored body holding a rifle, but one that Dyson doesn't recognize. The blue dot changes into L12. The man walks out in the open waving at Dyson, then raising his rifle aiming at Egra. Egra, after the first encounter, knew what was to come. Egra dived over behind a tuck, the round almost hit him trail leaving a mark. Dyson waves his hands wildly yelling to him to hold his fire. The figure shoots again at Egra's foot. Dyson: He's with us! Stop, Stop! L12: Ok, are you the Ensign I'm looking for. Adam: Yes, Dyson this is Master Sergeant Johansson Lenovo, you're guardian, sir. Johansson: Thank you, although I could speak for myself. So... Dyson... your friend there, you captured him? Dyson: Nope that "little" guy over there- is your teammate . Johansson: Nope fuck that, I refuse to be with that fucker. Dyson: He's a pacifist, he never harmed anyone. Johansson: Bull... shit, we can kill him and get a new team member. Dyson: No. But I think he's a scientist, probably got rejected, I don't know. But don't kill him. Johansson: Well, where did you get all this information? A folder pops up in Johansson's HUD labeled A02. Johansson: Why wasn't told about any of this. Dyson: We have to move, find our last member. Johansson: I would expect this to be more organized. Dyson: It's only going to get more chaotic; organization is the least of our worries. This way. Let it be known that Johansson, will, be the thorn in everyone's side. Nevertheless his anger is necessary. It shows how desperate the UNSC is at this point. No longer is it just the UNSC though, the Battle of Earth is a joint operation. As of now I have been arrested multiple times, charged with breaking and entering, whatever it's called for "hacking," kidnapping. But Dyson is also dogging some punishments. His shotgun isn't up to "standard" issue. It uses regular shells, explosive shells, and something else I cannot recall for the moment. It's extremely dangerous to people around him as a close quarters gun fires explosive rounds. However, it has saved his live as well as others. Dyson walks into a room that has few too many screens, mostly with the same image. Down in the center of the room they see a code light up, P45; she has her headpiece off to the side as she fiddles with an exceedingly outsized bomb. It seems that everyone is stepping on eggshells. Her hair is let loose pass the neck brace, with a black winged tattoo over the left eye. She seems to be placing charges on the oversized bomb. Johansson: Oh what in the hell are you doing? Were not ditching the base are we? Ariel: Well sorry if you were directed here- Oh- Dyson: Are you almost done? There's apparently one more to pick up. Ariel: Pay attention, it specifies a base, not a person. Johansson: Great, more shit to watch over. Well at least there s a place to hide when the glassing starts. Ariel: We won't be glassed I'm certain that our new allies will lend a hand. Ariel plants the detonator on and points to the marine next to her Ariel: Take care of this. Marine: I-I don't know what to do. Ariel: Just hook up the numbers with the numbers on the timer. Dyson down the stars and to the left. Dyson: We could just go back. Ariel: The cameras say differently, brutes on the other side. We will go through the other door up the lift and fly out of here. When we get properly dressed then we will visit the dig site. With the group complete they all walk together. Before they were forced together, they all were in the same situation before. Dyson has the same job as Egra to document, study, and or cover up, anything that could tilt the war. These two are trained mostly on survival and spotting important artifacts, not to fight or defend. How do they stay alive then? I'll try my best to explain their past after I'm done with the present, which technically is still the past. Short version of that, what's happening now happened before. All of it. 4:03p.m. Destructive Criticism Again, I am not good military terms so please work with me. I will use terms how I see fit not how a UNSC, ONI or a DCRF official would use them. I am just a reporter so I will apologize for the lack in detail of tactical data, and the vocabulary I write in. There are two sides to this, now we are on a covenant destroyer. With an unknown planet of ungodly size and a planet sized moon in their sights, stationed about 1Au away. On the bridge are eight elites. Four have identical insignias. Only two, Rex Rigis and Andreas Rigis, have matching insignias. Moreover, one is talking to the others. I will try to pretend to know exactly the words they say. It's the language translation that's the problem, unlike with the scientist. When these two groups meet, that's when the translation errors began. Here, Rex is discussing whether to attack with the 23 ships or attempt to gather more ships fighting near Earth. Random elite: We only need to get rid of the orbital defenses our ground infantry can deal with the grounded orbital defense. Andreas: I oppose; their weapon supremacy and coordination is more lethal, slower but lethal. On a screen a man's face appears, he is tan with a bit of long blond hair. Man: New plans were going to earth. Postpone the attack and bring your lead ship in orbit. Rex: We premeditated this for months, what dose earth has to bid. Man: Even if we take it over, in weeks your ships will falter under the update. We will be left defenseless. Rex: we can employ their weapons and- Man by the time you figure out how to even fire them it will be too late. Go to Earth and strengthen your offence. Andreas: Either way it won't matter what we everything will back fire on us if we don't put in order or stop the update. Fruit at Sanghelios will be worth more than precious metals. Man: We can use everything to our advantage if you can take over the area around the Ark. Random Elite: We ought to trust him, he got us this far. Rex: All right, take us there. The screen with the man turns off, Rex wiping his head in discomfort. Rex: Months of arrangement and we still wait. Andreas: Don't be troubled; you know the prize of these two planets. Along with the prestige. Rex : You know damn well his prestige will be nothing but a hindrance in the near future. Andreas: Since when has it got in our way? Rex: Chatham. Andreas: You went too far there. You went out of control. Rex walks out without saying a word out the door. Stepping out onto a walkway, he pans the active traffic circle of walkways. Rebels and heretics, a never before seen combination. Personnel, equipment, vehicles, weapons; all stolen over the years. There are even classified jet fighters and prototype weapons stored on the ship. He jumps down and walks down the long hall to his room. Over the speakers, he hears "Warning: Entering Slipspace in 30 seconds" in English. It repeats itself in different languages catching every ones attention. Hmm... why do they need a warning, nothing you can really do but sit there and wait, but never mind. He walks into his room door hissing shut. He sets the lock and changes into his worn out black exoskeleton, some protective covering. A small tremor in the ship, Rex can only hope that is ally is right. There's no simple way of turning back now. The group I've just described, they have been around for quite a long time. Rex and Andreas started it, saving those left behind or sentenced to death. Their true size is unknown it is much larger than 24 ships, the kind of ships. No idea. There has also been speculation they have repeatedly attempted to give us aid, but usually to see if they can gather more militia. I've always thought that most rather die than join something like this. I guess you can say that there all cowards, but there in better shape than us. Days pass, they arrive just on time to see the cluster of ships hover over Africa. After turning on all their friendly transponders, they spot the location, represented by a mass of blue, red, and yellow dots. There are other dots over the hologram, one over Antarctica, one in Cadarache, and one on the Yucatán peninsula. Before Rex walk out into a new lobby he hears "we have to do what's best for our baby." Rex slows down in his pace making no eye contact, still trying to listen to their conversation. Father: They will kill us. Period. Mother: Are you sure? Cause they're all ready okay with the elites. Father: They-they might find out that we are tied in with everyone. We'll be executed for treason, spying, they won't understand. Mother: Spying? That's ridiculous. They both look at Rex who casually walks past. Mother: Hey, you. Now, wouldn't you, at least try, to go back to your home world knowing that the big enemy is now our allies. Father: Just because of a two-day alliance! Rex: But we- Mother: -Are no different. Rex: I would consider it suicide. Mother: Ahh. You probably, just fucked up somewhere real bad. Father: Like everyone else. Mother: Jason no one can hold a grudge that long. Rex strolls away in thought as they still bicker. Back over Ariel arms a bridge leading to away from Voi as Egra is explaining how the fallen weapons they have collected work. Dyson: So, it can fire a straight stream but the chip inside tells it to fire in burst. Johansson: Great at saving ammo, but how do you get all that shit in there? Egra : Small batteries. Johansson wanted more of a complete answer, but probably wouldn't understand him any way. Johansson: Well what about the pink thing. Egra: My favorite choice of armaments. Umm, it may be too complex for you. For your safety, don't pick it up. Dyson: Are all of your weapons powered only by electricity? Egra: Unfortunately yes. Ariel : I'm done setting the charges All right, so are we going to the city or ba- Johansson: City. The others will stand on their own. Ariel: But we need t- Johansson: NO! ; better learn to follow the rules. Johansson picks up the needler , and decides to start toying with it; Throwing it in the air spinning it around. Johansson: Hey I want to see what survived there- In the city. Dyson: Nope, we 're going to Amandla base then we visit the Ark! Ariel: All right, in the truck. Hmm, Can I get on your ghost? Egra: Go on ahead. Ariel : Thanks! Egra : Hope you're a better driver than this one here. Dyson: It was an accident! Johansson: Your really going to let her drive? Egra : I have read her, history, I trust her, you should read as well. Johansson : Who the hell gave -Dyson!? Dyson ignores Johansson and enters the driver seat and starts the engine. Johansson hops in the passenger starts the engine and drives off with Ariel leading in front. After a few hundred yards Ariel raises her hand high and triggers the explosives on the bridge. The falling of the support beams drag the rest of the bridge down of the rock face along with some barriers and the safety signs surrounding the blockade. 4:40 pm beeps on their visor, they see the battered city in the distance parts smoldering in flames. The unburned portion, down town, is the one they pass by. By this time civilians would have been evacuated. But there are those brave enough to stay. Most think that since there's more danger near their job they will be paid more to operate their business. Fear has ran most of these people out of town. There are those still there for the excitement or to keep researching to help our forces. Over the days more and more people left. From fear, job collapse, or more literally the fact that the building they work in may collapse. Others were forced out so the building can be used by the military. On this day of this event, there are about 304 of us. No point of us being separate so we have all moved to the Trai tower at the end of the city. Most of them workers from the Traxus industry ; workers and researchers. The other brave souls that reside here are nurses and one journalist. I knew through the chaos not only would I find the whole story of this war but maybe even its secrets. Which I will have to release after my death. They now find themselves driving down the dirt road moving further away from the city. 1:24 pm. With Ariel leading in front they enter a cave that leads out into an uphill valley. She passes by the broken concrete walls and stops a yard away from the large metal gate facing her. Ariel: I think were too late. No fires, bodies, blood. Dyson; No this is us. Something abandoned. Desolate. Hidden. And made to look like as if it has all ready been attacked and raided. Perfect for hiding. Johansson: Basically a unwanted piece of shit no one wants to maintain.. Egra : Better than a group of tents. Johansson scans inside seeing inside what used to be an armory. Johansson: This is punishment. Hey the inside isn't completely trashed. Ariel: Everything can be repaired. Dyson, how long do they expect us to stay here? Dyson: I've been here before. This base before it was deserted was Dyson's home. This is where most of his training took place. He learned how to operate in the middle of battle if he were ever to be in the situation. Unlike most outpost or bases this one was more, comfortable. It wasn't as hardened or dirty like the others. Highly sanitary. Dyson: We have been given the best you should see the rest of it. Crappie? Yes. Needed for repair? Of course. But definitely worth it. Johansson: How is this worth it besides the massive launch station over there. Dyson: Self- Sustaining. Johansson: Still confused. Dyson : Follow. With great enthusiasm Dyson waves for them to follow. There walking down a long hallway with a great number of metal doors. For Dyson he is walking down a hall of memories. Years ago when the area was occupied. There was laughter, conversations with voices coming from people with no worries.. Nothing but an aurora of optimism. Those golden days are gone for now. Even though he misses those memories, he still walks down smiling. They walk back outside to an open area where a cliff hangs over head. ATV's are parked out eyes. Johansson's eyes slightly light up as it's the first thing he has seen in good condition. To the right there is a door that reads: Amandla Facility Generator five. To the left there are two signs: Com Satiation 1. The other says Water filtration facility to highway sixty-eight. Dyson walks to the left going through a long cave having the others follow closely. He walks for at least five minutes until he is out of the cave and sees a hangar. The Test Facility. A place he originated beginning to learn how to "read" data. The others eyes brighten as they released they weren't given a base they were given a fortress. Someone high was watching over them. They approach the gate that acts as most of the front wall. Whey walk up the gate entrance where they can see that the glass roof has to be repaired. Someone in a green armor suit walks up to the door. Man: Star? Dyson: Yes. Man: Welcome back to Lowry Station. My name is Victor, I will watch over the area while you're gone. Egra: I thought it went under a different name. Dyson steps in after unlocking the gate and shakes, looking at everything around him. Dyson: Man... Where did every one go? Victor: Shit, everywhere else but here. Dyson: Is the background still ok? Victor: The trees may be the only thing holding it up. Ariel: This is beautiful. Looking up at the forestation over head and behind the hangar. Victor: This base has gone to hell over the years, hopefully if you make the right calls we can restore it. Ariel: I saw an antenna along the way here. Any radios work?. Victor: In here. Inside they see monitors each with their teams symbol on it, a black horse. Dyson: Charles, Charles... Oh shit Charles! I need the radio. Adam: I can call him in for you. Dyson: Yes please! Johansson: What, do we have to pick up another one? A cruiser fly's over near the forest and disappears over the mountain. Dyson: No, he left me with our A.I. Adam: Hey ! He didn't leave me. Johansson: Why did he give us one that's on its own "time of the month"? I have enough to worry about with her. Ariel attempts to take a jab at Johansson, but her incoming fist is caught. Dyson: Charles ? Charles! A voice bar pops up with Charles picture and name. Charles: Dyson! Thank god you made it out. Is Adam all right? Dyson: Yes it's fine. Where are you? We can pick you up. Charles begins to speak but unfortunately is losing the connection. Charles: Negat... im.. With ... 11...Sounds of cruisers fly by causing more interference. Dyson : I can't hear you! Charles : ... Chanel is unsec... on the Arc....The voice box disappears with the familiar connection lost message. Johansson: Oh he's fine I'm sure. But uuh, we gotta go soon. Ariel: I'll start up the engines. She walks out purposely bumping into Johansson. Johansson: Why did you choose us. I 'mean I all ready have a fear of ...them. Dyson: Women? Well you can thank my CO for that. Johansson: No, no someone is setting me up. They know how I am around "them" ... they want me killed! Dyson: Wait, you're afraid of women? Johansson: No, they may be jailbait, but it's the elites. Dyson; Well almost everyone is. He passes around the room with his hands on his head, in the middle of his wining Egra walks in to the room. Johansson: No, no, no, no... NO! Egra : Ahh. Johansson: Ahhh! Well from this point forward until the activation of the arc at around 7:41pm, there is nothing but awkward silence. Until Johansson clams down and receives his medication, Egra will have to sit in the flight deck of the pelican. This would be a perfect time for everyone to read every ones bio, but they only chose to read one. Johansson's outburst and need of medicine brings up questions in the group. Johansson has experienced the omega call 8 times, only 6 is needed to be called a veteran. He is more of a survivor than a veteran. Most are battle hardened, having less or no fears in their lives, I assume. But with his history.... five out of the eight times enduring the escape of falling colonies he has been a POW. Anyone as a POW usually do not survive even if they commit to treason and give classified information they are still usually killed. Another point is that after the second time you would be sure not to let it happen again, let alone another 3 times. I mean the 5 times captured could cause him to be afraid of Egra, but it Just seems not to be enough. Fortune was the planet where he stole his prototype weapon. There has been rumors that he has stolen other projects or "artifacts" from Fortune, Reach, and Vantage. The one known weapon he stole was titled S11, his rifle. His rifle has the capability to "see and hear through walls." The rifle also has the ability to shoot through, all the walls it cans see through. When I saw it fire I thought it was another gauss cannon but it is so tiny even to the standard rifles they have. His ammo is just as wired, laser guided. But with this fancy technology he should fear nothing. He has always been afraid of Elites, how does he stay in the army if he is so afraid of his enemy. He is a sniper he never has to face his enemy at a close range. Now about that medicine. That's for you, to ponder on. Ten minutes after reading his report, it is now. 7:31. Once more, with feeling. Ariel is the first to break the silence. Ariel: So... um how did you find yourself here? Egra : (waking up from nodding) Ruh..Ahh what Ariel: How did you get here. Egra: (rubbing his eyes trying to focus) Umm... from the Dominance?. Ariel: No I mean in the army, earth, us. Egra: Same way you have, was brought here to give information, and now I have been assigned to help you with our technology and theirs. Ariel: Hmm, you fucked up somewhere, didn't you? Egra: I'm going to assume fucked up means mistake . Yes I have Ariel: What did you do? Egra: Nothing fast just, learning over the years. Ariel: Sense when. Egra: I was assigned to study both you and "our" creators, before those floating blobs came along and... Ariel: How old are you in our years then Egra; 4.7Ariel: No, that makes no sense. Egra: I'm positive I have done the calculations in my head multiple times, over the years. Ariel: Over the years, give it to me straight what did you do. Egra: I was doing my usual job at a young age and I learned early. Your people had more access to these relics than any of us....Giving the hints. Of course if the prophets were wrong about persecuting humans what else were they wrong about. Ariel: So you were run out? Egra: Of some sorts. After the first discovery I told Regret, humph, I did regret it . An assassination attempt was made on my young head but I escaped. I made it my mission to keep trying, trying to warn my brothers that what they are doing was wrong. I even thought to keep trying the prophets because I assumed, they thought I was lying. They knew. I changed my name multiple times before changing it back to its origin to ally with you people. Bribed people, and saved others scientist and officers of every race. Other scientist weren't so lucky. They were usually killed on sight. I have told so many people, to my surprise many have listened and took it to heart. After a long time of running and telling, so many have been condemned heretics they have had to join together. Right now there is only one major group that has survived this long. There may be smaller divisions. Ariel: So you gave up on saving your people? Egra: No I was... A loud sound is heard followed by massive explosions. At a distance the UNSC frigates and longswords fire and bomb the dreadnaught. All of you have seen the footage, it disappears, blue light, then static. The portal storm that rippled through the city caused yet another EMP. Unfortunately the pelican Ariel was flying wasn't close enough to be suspended in the zero gravity field around the disk. The 15 tons. Sorry the 100,000 kg of metal fell rapidly crashing into half of a heavy water tanker. Not 10 seconds after the crash the cliff they are on begins to collapse. Every one inside tumbling and screaming being pummeled along the walls and floors. The pelican rolls and grinds on the rock beginning to level out on flat land. It tips over one more time and stops. 8:14pm Dyson wakes up from being unconscious laying on the side of a pelican. Egra is on the radio to his response giving out an S.O.S. He is getting no response. Ariel is trying to fix the warthog that has been throw off some yards away. Johansson walks up to him and extends his hand. Johansson: Had a nice nap? Dyson: The... fuck. Egra: From what I hear the flood has arrived here crashed west. Johansson: A say we get out of here and head towards the Ark. Dyson: I see ships going through the black hole at the top. I think our mission is through there. Johansson: Or we close it as best as we can so nothing dangerous comes out of there. Dyson: Nothing too dangerous should affect us from the portal. Johansson: What if they come back with more dreadnoughts? Egra: Picking up radio chatter. We have to move. Quickly Dyson: Where? Egra: Off this continent. It's getting glassed to control the flood. Johansson: Well never make it far enough. Ariel: I think I got it. Dyson: Ariel were

moving to the Arc it's our haven for now. Ariel; Why? Dyson: Get in! Every one jumps in and Ariel begins driving. As they gain distance away from the cliff they see the crashed ship. Over head near the west, a cruiser readies to glass the area. The cleansing beam glows a bright red after a few seconds of charging, a loud, bright flash of red appears. The crashed ship and surrounding buildings become engulfed in the brightness. A cloud of heat and dust approaches the vehicle. Being engulfed in radiation everyone's shields flare followed by a hand shake. At their angle and distance they have avoided much of the radiation and other hazards. Safety are in the minds of every on as they see they are getting closer to the Arc. As they get closer more and more cursers appear. The majority are scattered around all firing their beams. They have all witnessed a glassing face to face before. But more than one in one area. They see that the arc' rim is only a km away. Over the city they see four ships facing each other in a cross. Two beams from each ship go out horizontally at first. They then seem to then form a circle. All eight beams now form a donut shape and glow extremely bright all that can be seen are the buildings being disintegrated followed by a defacing noise. A wall of bright light quickly moves from the city out ward. The footage from Egra's visor is the only thing to capture this moment. Ariel sees the danger closing in she swerves over and heads towards a pillar from the portal. She drives off the edge entering the 0 g field. They drift over into the blue field protruding from the pillar, throwing them towards the portal. The flash of light stops just inside of the portal. What is only left is a large red cloud. The warthog exits the other side with a stream of plasma following it. Egra's helmet has reshaped itself again to the red eyed helmet. A frigate notices the plasma stream followed by a distress beacon. No sound can be heard in space and their radios are now in active. They are literally talking to themselves. Johansson: Don't ever do that again, Jesus. Ariel: Oh, we got on through. For a sec I thought I was dead. Dyson: Well I've made history by using slipspace with a warthog. What the hell do we do now? Egra: Amazing, you are defiantly better than Star. Back on Rex's flag ship he is far back in the arc's orbit being sure to remain on the separatist side. Elite 1: They seem to be looking for the cartographer. Man 1: A map room sir, in a desert region. Rex: I have no interest in maps. Andreas: it could lead us to what "he" wants. Rex: Do we have any visuals on this map. Man 1: Umm... no sir Loyalist currently have control over the area. Man 2: We may have to turn our friendly trans ponders on if we hope to get near and see the surroundings. Rex: No, the ship is staying far away from this war. Elite 2: But sir by your self- Rex: No risks. It's there fight, let them finish it. I'll take a Phantom only one place both transponders on. Andreas: What of the humans army. Our colors will not match. Rex: I rather lose a phantom to a crew. Elite 1: Which teams would you like to take with you? Rex: I think Thunder 6 will do. Andreas: we will be facing 3 armies at once choose Victory. Rex: I have those for emergency. Andreas: Rex, the ship will be a better solution. Ground forces will be all over us. Rex: (irritated) I am certain their Spartan and Aristocrat can make a well enough distraction. To calm your nerves I will take Thunder 6 and keep Victory in upper atmosphere. As for the rest of you. Only engage in firefight if you have the advantage. Everyone: Yes sir. Rex and Andreas walks out the door together. Rex connects to the speakers calling Thunder 6 and Victory. After about one minute Victory and Thunder stand in formation. Hands behind their backs, legs slightly apart, head held high. They're not chosen because they are the, best or that they are "badasses." They just have nothing to lose. Andreas Stands at a distance, unlocking the three phantoms, staring at Rex, while briefing them on their mission. Rex's eyes meet with Andreas and a smile is exchanged. The bond of these two brothers resembles diamonds, unlike most brotherly bonds in the covenant that are held together of granite. One has never left the other. When Andreas found the truth about the covenant he told everyone. He had a voice in the covenant. Those that knew him trusted him with their lives. It was chaos when Rex and Andreas made the announcement on one of the Sangheili colonies. They helped as many people as they can escape the colonies collapse. The hierarchs would not allow an entire colony to distract them in their main mission. As quickly as it has started it was silenced. Those who took care of the job was told a flood infestation was there and to eliminate any ships seen leaving the planet. Not even rebels and savages kill their own. The movement that consider to have the highest honor of serving with a promise of salvation, became an industry of self destruction and hypocrisy. Even if we had been killed of the covenant would collapse under its own weight. The majority of the people they saved became the

bulk of their group. Rex and Andreas take Thunder 6, Victory is split in the remaining phantoms. The phantoms are launched out diving down hoping not to be spotted. The scenic route the chose to take will take them longer than expected but they have a better chance of surviving. Andreas ship is the first to hit atmosphere. All three slow down to reduce air friction. And in about thirty minutes they will reach the area of questioning. Rex, still thinking Victory is too good for this, sends half of victory to follow the other elites to the cartographer. Andreas scoffed at Rex's decision looking out the door at the large desert. Mesmerized by the view he is deaf to all noises surrounding him. This is the few times he can even day dream. While he's staring out in the open, everyone else is crouched around both the covenant and human broadcast radio. From these radios, they learn about every movement each side decides to take. Making it easier to move about. Nevertheless, before they even reach the site of questioning they are fired upon by both sides five different times. 10:10 P.M. The Generic Cannon Human pilot: Were all most there, I think it may be that tower over there. Rex: Confirmed, it matches the one in the photo. Take us to the top. Andreas: You want to split our fighting force again by sending some to the floor. Rex: Shut your whore mouth! It makes no difference if they follow us! Andreas: The difference of life and death. Rex quick becomes hot headed while is brother holds his composure. Rex ignores his response and the phantom's side doors open on a walkway. Everyone steps off and starts wandering around the structure. Walking in they see a long sliver hall with a tall sealing and a glass floor. The majority of the walls are blue forerunner hieroglyphs running parallel up and down the walls. In front of Andreas is a golden hologram of god knows what, facing towards what seems to be a yellow generator. On the top level where Andreas is standing there are three hologram ports. In the middle there is a floating platform that may function as an elevator. On the sealing there is a small glass window that seems to be the perfect size for the platform. On the second level Rex is near the floating platform on is left and right there are smaller halls with pillars that seem to have controls for the elevator. One half has shielded doors while the other seems to have them disabled. They weren't disabled recently as sand is spread on the floor of doorway. Andreas walks over to one of the control panels and call one of the elites in his group over. Andreas: Try this one. Elite: Its...it's just six circles. I think it connects to those other panels down there. She continues typing and a door on the 1st floor opens below. A white crystal comes up suspended in mid air. Andreas: Open the others. Yelling down to Rex. We found something. Rex: As did we. It's frightening. The other elite runs down to the next panel attempting the same operation. Andreas inspects the crystal, it appears to be sealed off a glass like tube. Andreas lightly touches the tube and the whole thing begins to warp almost as it were a liquid. After becoming greatly distorted the glass tube shatters its self . Andreas barely flinches from the glass. The crystal glows brightly, but its own brightness seems to stop short. Andreas reaches for the crystal, the second he touches the light of it the sphere turns into a spiraling beam enveloping Andreas arm other spirals form around his legs, arms, torso, and head. The beams tighten in and disappear releasing a little burst blasting the sand, glass and is weapons away from him. Right now he is breathing heavily. Rex runs and jumps up on the second floor to see what happened. He barely can suppress the fear in his voice. Rex: Are you hurt? What happened here. Andreas: nothing The crystal- is... whooo! I feel stronger, and a little dizzy. Rex: What did it do to you. Andreas: It feels like one of the enhancers, except- wa- Rex: Those things are unsafe, you know that! We need a medic, check on

him. Andreas: Because you misused them? Elite 2: What the hell happened here. Andreas: Rex trust me, it doesn't hurt grab one or at least take it with you. Elite2 : I see no scaring of any kind, no internal damage. But you are giving off some radiation. Marine: he's radioactive, I'm almost positive that's not safe. Random in the background: Thank you Mr. Obvious.! Don yell a meh. Rex: Your shields can handle it. Stop being so damn feminine and get over here. Andreas as soon as we can we must get out of here. Andreas: Try it ou- Rex: There's rumors but they say there is another ring here. Everyone stares in shock, they've been in this situation before. It was hell. Rex: If we don't leave now we might all die. Andreas: Is there anything we can do about it, did anyone else - Rex: No, we can't not without losing our now men. The only choice we have is to run. Andres: Were so close. Elite : Conta- The elite is cutoff and gags on his own blood. Man: There coming from the left hall, there up top. Holy shit there everywhere! After hearing his dying scream, everyone runs over to the yellow generator in the back. Pulling a man burned by plasma fire on his right shoulder. Other men from the outside walkway come in running backwards firing at their enemy. One gets stabbed through the chest by an invisible elite as he walks through the door. Severing his spinal cord he doesn't get the luxury of chocking on his own blood. Two more elites come out of the door with what looks like jackal shielding on their left arm. Both begin opening fire with their needlers. On the other hall way Rex moves up and activates two motion mines both on both sides of the door a third on another door on the other side of the hallway. Rex backs up on to a peach and brings out his beam rifle and selects his target. The two shielded elites are advancing slowly firing as they push along. Rex sees an opportunity, he aims for the firing hand of the elite to the right. The shot rips through his hand, the elite still griping on the trigger swings it wildly hitting his partner for a moment their hears are parallel, for that moment a second shot rips through both elites from the first elite ending in the temple of the second. " their coming from the top" Rex looks up as he sees more rappelling down. For a second he wonders why they are using old methods for ceiling breaching. He remains focus and aims for the ropes they come down from. Elites, one by one are falling down, cracking the glass floor on impact. Rex is completely oblivious to the sounds. Victory: Right flank, Right flank! Grenade, radio chatter. Pilot: Other phantoms have entered the air space. The two trip mines on the door go off. Blood and carbon run along what used to be a door. A cobalt elite sees the trip mine before stepping on it. She draws out some wires, attempting to

diffuse it. Andreas notices the cobalt elite and charges after it. The blue elite scampers outside and waits on the other side of the door. Rex sees Andreas hunting her down, expecting him to finish the job. He concentrates on the few remaining enemies that has been pushed back by Victory. Andreas runs and slides out turning towards the minor. The elite flings the now triggered mine out towards Andreas. He puts his guard up and strikes the mine. The explosion knocks Andreas over the edge of the tower and he screams as he falls through the air. The blue elite slammed against the wall. Rex hears the explosion and the screaming and runs out side. Rex is looking over the pillar watching his brother fall yelling his name. The blue elite regains full consciousness and draws a pistol out on Rex. She fires at Rex landing four shots, barely penetrating the shield. He quickly reacts and bolts for her. While sprinting he strafes left to right dogging the other four bullets. He un-holsters his sniper and holds the barrel, he comes in and swings his gun hitting the elites arm with the blade attached to the end of the rifle. Rex swings again hitting the top of his head. He swings again at the elites hand as he tries to block the next swing. The elite tries to get up to defend himself and is slammed back down again by the blade hitting his shoulder. This repeats until the fatal blow to the back of the neck finally kills him... but Rex continues to butcher the body until his officers pull him back. Rex just sits there, alone, covered in blood. Andreas: Aw. Now who the hell is going to clean this up? Rex: Andreas! Rex gets up in excitement but hides most of his emotions, as his officers are still there. Rex: how are you alive? Andreas: Is it not obvious. The crystal saved me, barely though my shielding completely crashed but somehow softened my fall. Rex: Where's the med- Andreas: there's no need. Please. Medic: but you still are radioactive. Our shielding will protect us. But you... you need to reverse whatever magic you just pulled. Andreas: lets worry about that later. We need to save the- Rex: forget those things you're dying. The once blue glass now turns a bright yellow. voice: He's right, you need to upgrade your combat... skin... as well as everything else... if you wish to stay alive. Man: Hey, hey that the same fucking voice that laughed at killing my men! Voice: Hmm, you may have gotten me confused with another. I will help you if you- ahem- help me. Rex: I'm open. Voice: First to insure your safety and the safety of others please grab one of the remaining crystals. Andreas Rex what about the rest? Rex: Lock them in the phantoms we don't need any one else to find these. All right we will help you. 10: 34 P.M. God-Modded Rex walks over to one of the glowing glass jars. As he touches it the whole room lights up again. Once it is done the voice delivers his name, Delinquent Pioneer. Andreas engineers slowly push the remaining cylinders into the phantom that has also suffered some damage from their skirmish. The yellow glass now turns black another voice comes forward, but in a language no one can understand. Coordinates are displayed on their HUD. They assume it is the same person, no need to take caution. Everyone takes their casualties on to the phantoms leaving for their disclosed location. Back on Earth, I leave the base temporality to see if anything has changed sense the Ark opening. I quietly leave my ATV in neutral, pushing it until I am far away from the base. I did not think to bring any protection from the sandstorm, so here I am.. Blindly driving in a straight line. Every 5 minutes or so I look up to see if I'm near the city but no luck yet. After 40 minutes of driving the terrain changes. Almost as if I'm riding on ash. I stop to see that I was right there is still heat coming off the blackened ground. It couldn't have been a glassing there should still be some evidence of buildings. But all around me the ground is black. Steaming, not even rubble stands. My maps tell me I should be at the Traxus building. Still nothing, underground, I rev up my vetches and go to where the ramp for the underground parking lot should be. Again nothing. My giber counter isn't budging, what the hell happened here. If they were this persistent to get rid of us why do these useless bases still stand . Where there is actually people. Let me take what I can. I pick up pieces of rock that look most interesting, take some pictures and record the air quality and temperature. They won't listen but the scientist Ariel is with will the only choice I have is to go back and keep waiting. Its goanna be a bitch to get this thing up hill with no motor power. I return back t around 2:14 am ditching the ATV. It's not mine any way. Ariel is aboard the frigate Apparition of Wind from the bridge she can see the Wings of Legion in the distance. Captain Barrette Valentine has been pleased here as their new captain. God knows where the original captain is. 10:10 P.M. Grammar Nazis & Canon cops. Valentine: So, how did you end up out there? Dyson: I think the portal. Valentine: With... a warthog. Good enough for me. Ariel: Um ... Sir could you lend us one of your pelicans. Valentine: What for? Ariel: Search and Destroy. Valentine: Oh I see that's why your friend is here. Egra: Our purpose is not to destroy but to learn... Ariel: Yes and when we learn we must destroy the information and or any str- Egra: Don't lecture me about my mission woman. Dyson: Valentine, where are the majority of the forces located. Valentine: Umm, I think by this waterfall here, or there. Dyson: Hmm, we should go to the other one on that side, it looks the same it could be of equal importance. Also, no sign of enemies. Valentine: Fine, do you need anything else. Ariel: No sir. Valentine waves his hand away, and they walk out the door. Ariel: Everything feels to... I duno hidden. Dyson: Nothing here is hidden. Ariel: No, there's always something hiding. Johansson: As if we don't have enough complex things. Ariel: Ahh, everything is so repetitive. I mean I could have saved so many lives in the past if there weren't any rules. No I mean if there wasn't many restrictions, or consequences of making your own choice. Dyson: you make it sound like someone's controlling you. Johansson: Is this coming from the same person that was correcting Egra on his mission?. Ariel: Never mind. Ariel walks up to a marine sitting inside a pelican. Ariel: Hey you, we need this bird. Marine: Who are you? Ariel: I'm P45 Soulsurvivor... do I have permission. Marine: Ummm- Yes you do, she's all yours Ariel: Like that. Dyson: They just want to make sure- Ariel: What, so we don't try to kill some on or destroy the ship, please. Johansson: What are you talking about? Ariel: I just want to be more free. Johansson: What is this bitch talking about? Ariel, well, first stop taking all those pain pills. Ariel: What... I don't- Johansson: It's ok the first step to your problem is admitting it. Ariel: But I don- Johansson: Don't lie, admit your problem, fight the urge. Ariel sits down in the pilot seat. Ariel: Right . Twenty minutes later In the Pelican Dyson as to break the same awkward silence. Dyson: Who covers an entire 3 pages with black ink? Johansson what the hell. Johansson: Don't worry I added that in there to confuse people. Egra: Why. Johansson: the more black line the, scarier it is. Egra: more stupid than frightening. Dyson: Did you blacken half of this page too? Johansson: Nope. Egra: Where do you see these blackened lines? Dyson: Page 12-14

Egra: Nope its white. Johansson: The ffff- Egra: Oh, oh my Johansson: I swear I tripped! Egra: But your head... Johansson: It was stuck Egra: Stuck? What about - Johansson: Ahhh! What do you expect to find here!? The both of you. Dyson: Anything that will help us. Johansson: I highly doubt ... what are YOU here for then. Egra: To aid you of course. Johansson: So then, are you the only one aiding us? Egra: No. Johansson: Are all of you ... people helping us. Egra: I would assume... Johansson: Then we don't need to find anything we have all the help we need right here. Dyson: It's... It's not that simple... Johansson. Johansson: And tell me why. Because you can't... trust them? Dyson: No... Not fully. Johansson: So why the FUCK is he here. Egra: they trust me. Johansson: WHO. Who is this... jackass that let him in here. And gave him a god dam rank. Dyson: We need all the help we can get. Ariel: Why are you arguing any way? It doesn't matter. Egra: I want a spear. Dyson: Random. Johansson: What if he eats me? Egra: Ahhh! Im going to eat you! Johansson yells and cowers behind Dyson. Dyson: I am so confused. Where did you get that scope? Johansson: I- I got it from. Giver armory. Dyson: Reach? How? Johansson: No, the other one, where you worked. Dyson: Oh- so you didn't steal it, you saved it. Johansson: I was questioned what I had when I was evech- evacuated. What I took from the test facility thing. They somehow knew I stole something. I had a choice give them an A.I. that I struck a deal with before saving it. Or give them my rifle. Dyson: What was the A.I.' s name. Johansson: Eh, dunno. Ffff- something. Hey where did you get yours. Dyson: Built it myself. Johansson: Really? Dyson: They don't want me to have it because it could, but not very likely, disable a frigate. Egra: That little thing there. Dyson: that's what I said. But they were stubborn. Eventually I told them I was still working on it so I had to keep it. That's the sort version of my argument. Johansson: It makes since now. That's why your own probation. Dyson: But so is everyone else. Ariel is on because of the constant warnings about the tattoo and the hair. Johansson: there is a lot of people with long hair and tattoos. Dyson: Not for those trained in demolition. Now I see, she just wants leeway. Egra: Why am I on this 'probation'? Johansson: I think everyone would be if they killed marines. Egra: I was never forced to kill. I only defend myself and investigated areas where battles have all ready past. Johansson: For some strange

reason... find that hard to believe. Dyson: Are we, like anywhere near the thing yet. Ariel: 10 minutes, I think. This place is really beautiful the cliffs on the right with that amazing waterfall. Dyson : Listening to radio chatter. Sounds like out forces ran into a scarab. Means more time for us. Speaking of which, how are we going to conduct any research. Egra: One of your ships contains our equipment. We unluckily landed on the wrong ship. Dyson: Well nothing to worry about, we'll just order them to drop it off at our site. He starts typing on a green pad. 10:17 Your insane, I'm American They arrive at their location. A structure, quite large, is resting on the Cliffside. The cliffs are a mixture of steel and stone. Intuition 4- Tall column of steel cut 60 degrees from front on both sides going in ward stops about 300 meters then forms a large triangle cover over the intuition. Carved out is the actual structures. Arms from the back wall form a pattern of angled and straight grips, almost look fingers. A column comes down from the triangle roof which has two supports holding the Institution's second roof. The column goes down to a rectangular box inside is a room. A medium sized walk way extends from the large column. On the walk way there is a podium with a separate piece of equipment on top. There is a ramp in the middle rising to a room with 2 blue gas vents that expel blue gas there is a incline on both sides of the room. The room has a door way with walls containing a mix of metal and glass. Through the glass doorway 2 rows of small black core shaped boxes. The walk way they lay on is supported in the back by a wall. On both ends of that wall are four oval shaped units , mix of blur and purple. On the floor they lay on is a continuous row of yellow glowing columns extending to the ramp. The Doorway had two other hallways on each side. By this time we have figured out this entire place is symmetrical, explaining on side is like explaining the other. The hallway has a purple lit room. The purple is coming from a beam in a shielded door. The hallway stops with a incline on a another walk way on this side there is a corner that ends around on the left side it is a metal glass mix wall on the right the wall makes a wall protecting a ramped area. The back of this floor leads to a metal glass mixed floor with a metal glass shield holding what looks like yellow radiation. The ramp goes down facing the back. Down the ramp then left yellow wall shield like above straight on to the other corner another left a ramp leading down on to a floor with a semi hexagon generator horizontally the same vertically to the same yellow area like above except uncovered. Both sides have a ramp leading downstairs down there is a nether yellow column of energy covered. Facing forward there is a ramp leading out on the glass plat form the pelican is on. back on the bottom floor there is a glass floor through t there is a small circle that flashes yellow supported by three equidistant support beams. Support beams everywhere, yet everything looks moveable no hinges but seems to be able to move if given enough force. One hour, looking around, recording every corner and wall they can, looking, recording, guessing. Hour two, the Wings of Legion breaks atmosphere, over distress point 8. Hour three. A pelican arrives, finally now they can begin the long strain of figuring out this structure. Praying a random patrol doesn't come by. The pilot and Johansson, having nothing to do but baby sit, stroll around, conversing. Dyson removing random panels from the

walls trying to find any wires or ports he can connect to. Egra having no trouble at all has already found a panel. His eyes light up with happiness. "I found it!" he whispers to his self. Ariel carries six small red boxes, humming a tune, fiddling with boxes humming a tune, climbing the struts and pillars hiding each box in their respective places. Hanging from a wire looking out at the waterfall she swings back and forth. closing her eyes she sits, remembering, a holiday. She sees herself as a small child hiding presents in vents, and under the heater. She knew one would look there due to how scared her brothers were reaching their hands in dark places. She smiled at this thought running through her mind. Her daydream is broken when Dyson yells for her to come down. Ariel: What! Johansson: Why is she always in a bitchy mood? Dyson: We've found something. Ariel: Something to destroy? Dyson: No, but - Ariel: Then I will take the liberty of stayin up here. Dyson: Ok then, but incase I die you won't know if there's more to destroy. Ariel: Fine, uugh. Johansson: So... what did you find. Dyson: Ok this thing makes ships... stronger, faster, it... somehow knows . Johansson: What? Dyson: Umm from what its telling me it can increase the power of things like batteries, capacitors, reactors. I don't know how... unless ADAM translated it wrong. ADAM: I assure you, all of us have confirmed the translation. Present of error is low. Johansson: That makes no fucking sense man. It would have to tear the ship apart or whatever else. Dyson: If I sat here and explained entanglement and electron tunneling... jus- it can. I don't know how but it does. With the complexity of its magnetic field, it looks legit. Johansson: What does that even mean, none of this makes any sense. Do you know anything on this. Egra: It's the answer to the update. Johansson: Well that says a lot! Dyson: It looks incomplete. Egra: It needs only a small amount of energy to operate. We can manage that. Dyson: We may need to take a stop to the Wings of Legion. Ariel! We need to fly over to our frigate. Ariel: Damn it! All right then. Dyson: Ok lets- Johansson: We need someone here. Dyson: How bout that pilot? Johansson: He left; we can't just leave this place deserted. Dyson: Three people with barely good armor will not survive I can't leave any one here. Ariel has the place wired, if they come, we'll blow it. Johansson: One bad idea after the other. They all get in and strap down, silence along the flight except for music playing through the speakers. Egra, is by this point having a little visit down the lane. He remembers pulling the impossible at around 11.. He's walking towards the door hearing his parents talk about what would be our lottery. "You will be hit by lightning before you hit the big win." "A chance is better than no chance." Egra laughs as he walks out the door. He sees his friend waiting there. His friend says-"We should visit the river, there may be some khee there." "Anyone else coming?" "Possibly" He didn't want to go with just one person especially if he has been acting strange lately. Egra didn't tell me what exactly happened later on but, bare with me. There at the river conversing only catching one "khee." It starts to storm, they hide under a rock outcrop waiting for the storm to pass. Next, Egra gets this impulse to run out in the middle of the rain, disregarding his friend's cautioning. Next he hears the sound of thunder followed by blackness. He was hit. His friend is there shocked, afraid. Probably cried, even though you think they never do. Unable to do anything he sits. Then as if to add more Mersey Egra is hit again. This time he wakes up, the second strike knocked his heart into beating again. Without hesitation he runs back under the rock. This is the moment when he stopped believing. In his mind he died for that time period, and he saw and felt nothing, no gods, no light, no hint of a journey. His parents were right, he told this to his friend under the rock. "They

have granted you life after you have just been killed this is a sign!" "No, I was saved by the thing that has killed me it's not a sign, its proof." He told no one else of this experience, and it has haunted him. The possibility of there being no afterlife. This nightmare came when he learned the truth. The strike has damaged his brain slightly, but the effects are barely seen now. 10:57 P.M. I eat pain, and hate bees. Endeavor gains sight of their frigate, anchored over Distress point 8. At this moment in time this location is un-named. It's a desert region with strange structures in the middle of a large metal circle. The circle has 6 metal pillars high in the sky. As they get lower they see a crashed phantom in the distance. Ariel: This is P45 Soulsurvivor, pilot of Endeavor team November. Premiss- Valentine: Endeavor? How many people are you caring. Ariel: Four, including me, sir. Valentine: We have just shot down an enemy phantom as it attempted to pass by. India is held up in the structure you see down below. Our recon team reported heavy vehicles and Infantry. I want you to join up with Tanner and Marcello to clean up the mess. Dyson: All right sir. Johansson: Do you think there any elites on the other Endeavor team? Dyson: Don't know, they try to keep us all separate from each other. I would never know. Ariel lands on a high sand dune3 yards away from two snipers. They step out onto the hot sand, Egra head piece shots from his neck brace snapping in to place around his face. Tanner: Yes... They've just landed sir... Is one of them an elite?... Ok sir. All right, you're the four were supposed to meet up with. Ok, ya see the crashed phantom over there bout half a click away. The heavy vehicles and infantry are moving in a convoy, well figure that out later but first look back to the wreckage. Dyson: What am I looki- Oh, the dead marines...out of standard uniform. Marcello: How should we approach this? By the way names .Dyson: Well there moving towards us. Possible we could ambush. Maybe near that structure. Ariel: Hmm, the stone roof I can bring it down, we may be able lower their numbers. Johansson: Its glowing. Dyson: Need to hit'em swift and hard. All right, Ariel grab your gear. Johansson, Tanner, and Marcello your our guardians. Johansson: Wait, can't they just hit what's remaining there? And why is that Wraith glowing? Marcello: India's in there. Johansson: The Wraith is seriously glowing. Ariel: Ready. Dyson: Na man, its just sunshine. All right there going through the tunnel, you three will be at the end of the tunnel. And they went off, into the tunnel. Egra, Ariel and Dyson sprint into the tunnel. They stop at the bend inside and Dyson looks around the corner. He gives the signal to Ariel to do her thing. She pulls out an extremely long arched rod and lays it down. She backs away and the rod flashes red. Suddenly the rod explodes into shards sticking on the walls and ceiling. Having no where for cover in the tunnel and no time to come back Ariel signals to play dead. Egra watches confused, and follows. He sees them both laying down. He assumes there just going prone and he follows. Except he lays flat and aims down his sights with his rifle. Ariel lays flat on her

stomach facing her trap. She recalls the order they were in, The wraith in front the infantry in the back Jackals on the sides of the convoy with elites in the middle. She holds the trigger out of sight, waiting. On the other end of the tunnel, Tanner is communicating with India. With their research finished they are ready to leave. They will be fortunate enough to evac from the roof within the ambush. Ariel counts down from four fingers, last one hitting the trigger. A loud deafening blast sprung from the tunnel with a sudden rush of wind and sand. With the smoke and sand still trying to settle they switch their visors to thermals or heat, whatever it's called. Through the smoke they can see the wraith entangled with a large portion of the ceiling. They don't help, but regardless Egra jumps in the smoke cloud. Plasma fire can be seen, and screams can be heard. From Egra's view all I can see are orange blobs darting around randomly stopping when one is killed. With the smoke cleared they can see the damage they have done. While the roof is crumbling Dyson hops over the debris. Hiding behind him is an elite. Dyson hears him and turns around shooting the elite as it lunges at him. Ariel jumps over next, seeing the remaining forces there are jackals forming a line with Rex right behind them returning fire. Ariel Hides behind the destroyed wraith reading her rockets. Ariel: Everyone get down! Ariel fires the round right at the advancing line. They are flown high back filled with shrapnel, few are still alive but dying. Rex stands back up returning fire. Andreas is about to gut Ariel when he is thrown off by one of the snipers. Andreas refocuses his attention on Ariel but is then hit by Johansson's round and stumbles. He tries to hold his stance but is still getting hit by sniper fire. Marcello: Behind us! Johansson: Where did they come from! Dyson: I got its gun! Marcello: Dyson we're coming to you. They are outside near us coming to the tunnels. Dyson: You bitch you cut me. Andreas snickers, at Dyson's whine. Ariel: Uhh... their shields aren't coming down. Dyson: Just keep hitting them. Their focused on me, Oh shit. Rex, with his weapon in working order fires at Dyson. Dyson's shields aren't strong enough to repel all the shots. They are now on the other side of the corner with no cover they back up trying to exit the other side, but see an advancing infantry up the ramp of the tunnel. Egra attempts to kill Rex from behind, fortunately his shields repel Egra's blade multiple times. Rex throws him to the wall, although Rex can't see his face he recognizes the armor, the glow in his eyes. Johansson, Marcello and Tanner arrive behind Rex and Andreas. The brothers are now surrounded by November. Rex: Egra. Johansson: What! You know him? Andreas: (radio) Wait for your shields to fully charge then attack. I have the blue one. Rex: I will take

the two smaller of the humans. Johansson: 8 out of 10 voices in my head are screaming don't shoot. Egra: We have to leave now. Dyson: Both exits are blocked, we can ho- shit. Andreas sprints over to Dyson and attempts to slash but fails. Rex fires his last shot into the chest of Marcello and following up with smash into Tanner's face with the back of his weapon. Dyson recovers from his dive and changes into explosive rounds. Johansson still attempts to use his rifle against Andreas. Johansson fires, but Andreas deflects the round. Johansson runs backwards emptying his clip as Andreas predicts when he will shoot, dogging each bolt. Egra pins Rex to the floor saving Tanner from another strike. Andreas pummels Johansson to the ground, he reacts quickly and in one quick movement Johansson activates a black energy blade. The blade replaces a sharp point instead of a normal curve. The blade has blocked Andreas sword, seeing its strange color Andreas pauses. Johansson stabs Andreas the blade strike has taken down over seven eighths of his shield versus the two eights it should have been. Dyson follows up and fires an explosive round directly at Andreas. The blast sends the elite flying knocking Egra off of Rex. Andreas currently has no shields and takes cover. Tanner Crawls over to Marcello, crying, whispering her name. Alexandra. Tanner Takes her combat knife, unable to find his hand gun. He then proceeds to take his own blade out and charges at Andreas. Rex stick his leg out tripping Tanner. With the infantry only yards away, a chamber door at the curve at the tunnel opens. Three of India's guards poke their heads out. Ariel pulls Tanner from Rex but is stabbed in the side as he is slid away. Rex runs back to his brother who has some of the buck shot in his side. November and Tanner scurry inside closing the stone door behind them. The room is well lit only from the top where the pelican received half of India. Tanner sits in a corner weeping at the loss of Alexandra, this was the first mission they have actually worked together on. Dyson stands under the gaping hole in the roof, listening on when their evac will arrive. Egra sits with his back against the wall trying to remember the last time he saw Andreas and Rex. Then realizing he only has his sword with him, remembering he dropped them out side during the fight. Ariel attempts to treat Tanners wounds, as Johansson looks through the stone door with his rifle. Dyson: Five minutes, maybe less. Ariel: So...Egra, who the hell was that? Egra: I don't know. Johansson: You said his name. Ariel yo- Ariel: You remembered my name. Johansson: Dandy. You need to see this. Ariel snatches the rifle away from Johansson's hands. Looking through the scope she can she can see through the wall. A white figurine the shape of a brute places a charge on the stone door. Ariel: Is amazed at how much detail can be seen through the wall.

Ariel: Where did you get this? She hands back Johansson the rifle. Ariel: There setting up a charge they'll be through in a few seconds. Tanner: Can you place a charge? Ariel: Why? I mean I can, but why? Tanner: We need to breach them, before they breach us. I can hold them back. Ariel: Now don't go killing yourself over-. Tanner: Don't give me that shit! We're going to die anyway. Johansson: I say, let'em. Hey you can take the elite with you kill two stones with one bird. Ariel: Zip it! Tanner: Just give me the damn charge. Ariel reaches in a separate pouch and takes out a small charge and plops it in Tanner's hand. Ariel: Give it four meters. Ariel Walks away. Tanner walks up to the stone wall and places the charge. He runs a safe distance before arming the charge. The tiny explosive then blasts through the stone. Tanner sprints towards the plume, as the charge on the other side activates. With is two knives he runs out of the smoke slashing at fallen brute. After dealing damage he then moves on to the jackals, who try to stop him with his shied. He pulls one of their shields and slices across the neck. Some of its blood sprays on Tanner's face. Ignoring the elites he gets after those with little armor. Back inside the tunnel Dyson sees a rope ladder drop through the hole from the pelican. Dyson and Ariel climb up first, a broad cast is made that the entire area is about to be leveled. Hearing this broad cast, Tanner steals one of the jackals working shields still attached to the arm. He pushes his way through the crowd tackling Rex from entering the cave. Andreas runs on and enters seeing Egra climb up the ladder. Andreas soon follows suit up the ladder, Egra soon crawls into the pelican, turning around he sees a primed grenade. Egra quickly reacts and cuts the rope. Falling Andreas tosses the grenade, sticking it to one of the thrusters. The explosion heavily damaged the ship but is still able to fly. Andreas lands hard on the sand floor. Tanner, after now being fatally wounded is thrown next to Alexandra. Surprisingly she has enough energy to look James in the eye. He lays her down on his lap petting her hair. Andreas stands there looking, feeling an unnoticeable amount of pity. Any other time he would have made sure they weren't moving. Most of victory is still out of the tunnels, and the Wings of Legion readies to the MAC along with fire archer missiles. An unnecessary amount of fire power for a circle one km big. The pelican barely holds itself together as it uncontrollably slides into the hangar bay. Tanner's last words to Rex walking over before the barrage hits. Tanner: I hope you heartless, bastards know what it's like. He, he maybe your heads are sooo far up honorable asses you don't want wives. You wana to be honorable, you're not, you wana be strong, smart, respected. You're not. Just another disappointment. Your people are so sad to think about, so disgusting, but nevertheless fun to slaughter. And with that the MAC round hit the structure collapsing the tunnel. The two structures crumble further as

the archer missiles and other cannon fire carpet the area. Twenty of the one-hundred survive. 11:30 pm Your canon backfired! Ariel: Shit! That hurts like Hell! Upon impact she was thrown out of her seat. The crew runs over to the pelican putting out any fires they see. One of India's marines broke their leg in the landing and is carried out. November steps out and sees the damage done to the wall they ran into. On the bridge November rejoins with Valentine. He seems stressed out. Valentine: Too many resources, too many resources have been wasted on these... treasure hunts. Dyson, I honestly don't care what you found. Go talk to India. Dyson: Ok sir. He walks away with the rest of his team following. Johansson: What crawled up his ass? Dyson: I hope I never have to see him again. In the lab one of India's members is typing facing away from the door. The rest gaze out of the window chatting. Once Dyson steps in the woman typing looks up. Woman: So, did you find anything? Dyson: Yes we did, but what the hell happened down there? Woman: Well, umm- we think they were cloaked. The frigate shows them appearing just as you started your ambush. Dyson: How? The only ship there was the phantom, there were well over a hundred outside. Woman: Maybe more came after it was shot down. But the thing is the range. Our cameras showed the site completely disappearing until you started tour ambush. We thought it was some technical failure. Something was cloaking the site. Dyson: Johansson said the wraith was glowing. But wouldn't the group closer to it be invisible as well. Woman: It could be a combination of things. Whatever it is, this new faction is extremely dangerous. Dyson: Now I wouldn't say that. Woman: So, what do you have? Dyson: we think there's a structure that is capable of increasing power capacity, in ships, weapons. How bout you? Woman: A ship not here but somewhere on the ark. We don't know how to get to it though. Hey there's another site we passed on the way here. Our new found foe might have visited there. Your pilot will get the coordinates. Dyson: Well we need some power coils, about fifteen. Woman: Alright, ill call it in. Where's the rest of your team? Dyson: In a vulture, why? The woman is shocked as vultures are rarely seen in battle. There huge, they are slightly similar to a pelican but with larger fire power. Woman: Do you really need one of those. Dyson: It's been striped for more cargo room; the only thing left is a Gatling. Woman: Well your equipment is on its way. Dyson walks out sighing with relief, that conversation was so dull, her voice isn't exactly bearable to begin with. Johansson: Where have you been? Dyson: Talking, we need to hurry though. Ariel: They tell you about the other site? Dyson: Yea. Johansson: What new site? I haven't heard anything about a new site. How come no one tells me anything? Egra, did you know about this? Ariel: Shut up,

please. Ariel walks into the vulture with Egra following. Johansson: Where getting in that thing, what the hell? I personally don't know why they need a vulture. Later on though it may prove useful. Back down on what used to be the distress point. Rex, Andreas, and some other survivors emerge from the wasteland. One of Rex's mandibles is bleeding and Andreas has scars all along his thigh armor. Rex: Andreas! Andreas! Andreas: I'm fine brother, over here. You're bleeding. Rex wipes the blood onto his sandy hands. Rex: Shielding takes a large amount of time to regain its strength. Andreas: There's a vehicle on the hill we can use. If it wasn't bombarded as well. Is there anyone else still alive!? A few indicators light up, Rex sets a waypoint for the pelican ahead. Andreas: Why didn't they rain fire on us before? They shot our phantom down why not our reinforcements. Rex: You know they have terrible commanders, are you honestly surprised. Andreas: Not at the very least. 11: 55 Spartans always die. Andreas and Rex fly over to the first site November encountered. Pioneer already told them the plan, to wait until the machine was repaired by November. Then it would continue from there. They land the pelican inside the structure, the surviving members of victory use whatever weapons found on the pelican. Splitting up some on the lower section some hiding under the support beams they will hid there waiting until November is vulnerable. Just in case, Andreas called for reinforcements which should come within twenty minutes. Pioneer will deliberately give Adam the schematics of the structure to maximize the repairs. In the Vulture no silence is broken; Johansson sleeps quietly as the medicine takes effect. With the medication administered Egra isn't forced to be cramped in the front seat, but chooses to stay there regard less. Over the radio they hear that the shielding around the ark's core is disabled, the attack on the citadel has begun. While they take a long flight to the tower Johansson dreams about how he first acquired his rifle. Nineteen years ago, Johansson was to partake in the destruction of an armory. At this time he was part of Zulu. Zulu unlike the rest of Endeavor were usually temporary demolition groups. Destroying any data or equipment likely to fall in the covenant hands. Johansson was over watch, but Zulu was losing people fast. This is the first time Dyson met Johansson. He told him there were some fuel cells deep in the armory he could use to aid in the destruction of the armory. Johansson went in, Dyson ran off to be evacuated. Minutes later Johansson enters the room, fairly small room with many weapons on the wall. He decided to take his sweet ass time and inspect the room. Soon after an AI shows up, and greets him. Johansson is startled, but remains calm. It's a dumb AI, has no coordinates for any colonies or earth but still should be left here. The AI is smart enough to know it's demise is coming soon and it makes a deal with Johansson. If Johansson takes the AI with him he gets to keep the proto types on the wall. Johansson says no at first until he learns one has the power and accuracy of a gauss, and one of the scopes can see through most materials. Without thinking twice he takes the AI, arms the fuel cells, and takes a large metal case containing the parts for multiple sniper prototypes Little does he know though the AI is a segment of Adam's personality. Unlike most AI, Adams personally can add 4 years to any AI. Johansson escapes the facility and the planet as it is being glassed. Later on he is questioned by ONI officials as to how he got into the lab in the first place. They almost seize Johansson's new found prototypes but, Dyson intervenes and rightfully takes back the weapons. Still having the blueprints for all weapons Dyson drew out, he assembles the prototypes in to one rifle. A gauss rifle, with a primitive hard sound rifle as the under barrel. A scope with the ability to see through most surfaces.

With addition to being able to predict the angle of the rifle to hit long distance targets. For the next nineteen years this weapon will save many lives, including his own. Of course the prototype has its down sides. Louder, large amounts of recoil, and a large supply of power and maintenance. The vulture hovers outside as the team steps off onto the tower. They see the mass carnage from the firefight that Rex partook in. Johansson: What in the unholy hell happened here? Ariel: I honestly don't know what to make of this. I thought we were allies. Dyson: We are maybe another Endeavor group was found by loyalist. Ariel: Pretty big group. Egra: Look up there, there's still equipment there. Dyson: Looks like they were in the middle of finding something. Why didn't she tell me another team was already here? Johansson: Oh, I'm thrilled to hear you finally don't know something. Dyson walks over to a computer still connected to a terminal, kneels down and starts typing. Dyson: There was something here. Ima let Adam find a route. Dyson pulls out a storage unit and plugs it into the port. The terminal shuts off and the blue glass walls lose their light. The hologram in the center disappears, but the yellow generator in the back is still running. Soon after Everything lights back up with a deep red. Adam: This is really something, Dyson,- Dyson: Can you receive any information about this place, any data. Adam: Only a small amount, we need to come back with a much larger storage unit. Dyson: We can't come back were all most out of time and we might end up like the last team here. Pioneer: Indeed you will. Dyson: That voice. Pioneer: Welcome back Dyson. Your friend here, He is very knowledgeable. But still small. Dyson: How did- Pioneer: Let's talk later, but now I need your help. I will give your... friend here the plans to the structure you first visited. Finish it then come back here. Dyson: Can't we do this later? Pioneer: If you want to run risk of infection or die by the array then go on ahead and linger around. I know how this will all end. You won't be able to come back here any time soon. Help me, and we can save everything. Johansson: What the hell! Pioneer: Go! The glass shuts off and resets its self to blue. Adam finds his self back in the "cramped" storage unit. Johansson: Ok, I'm really sick and tired of being kept in the dark! Egra: It recognized you. Ariel runs back inside from listening to the radio. Ariel: The flood is here, and they plan to use the halo to kill them. We have to leave now. Dyson: We can't. Ariel: What do you mean we can't? Dyson: One more place to go. Johansson: Wait, weren't we trying to stop that from happening? Ariel: No, we need to go now! Dyson: How much dime before they set it off. Johansson: I don't think you realize. The flood will get to us before it

fires. The Wings of Legion will leave us if we aren't back there soon. Dyson: One hour then. Give me one hour, the flood can't possibly travel that fast. Ariel: Fine. In actuality, Dyson had two hours and forty-seven minutes before the ring actually fired. Quickly they fly over to the structure they first visited, with Rex and Andreas waiting. It took 10 minutes to get from the tower to Distress point eight. And seven minutes to get from there to the structure. So to Dyson he has forty-three minutes left. Quickly Egra helps Dyson carry the cores up stairs and arrange them according to Adam's newfound blueprints. Thirty-four minutes left. Pioneer: Well, now that you have that done, each of you three will need to upgrade your- umm outfit. One at a time st- Ariel: Who the hell are you? Pioneer: Ahh, Ms. Peirce glad to see you've made it. Shall you be the first one in. Ariel: Hell no! and how- Pioneer: Fabulous! Before Ariel can finish her sentence she is dragged into the chamber unable to move. Johansson: Aww, now look what you got yourself into. Look whose trapped in the closet now! Ariel: It was you! Pioneer: Now if you would be kindly as to activate the contract. Egra: Contract? Johansson: My pleasure! Before Dyson can stop him, Johansson slams his hand onto the switch. A blinding light is emitted from the chamber for a short amount of time before opening back up. Ariel drops out of the chamber onto her knees smoking. Dyson: Ariel! Are you ok? Ariel: I'm fine... you have to try this. You can trust him. Pioneer: Told you. Whose next. A long pause before Egra decides to step-in, trusting the oracle. They got him this far. He steps in and Johansson places his hand on the plate again. A bright blue flash comes out of the chamber, and Egra steps out without collapsing. Dyson hesitates at first but then considers the short time he has and steps in. While Dyson is in the chamber, Rex and Andreas prepare to ambush them. Ten on both hallways, ready to attack the middle, with the brothers ready to strike from the top. As soon as Dyson falls out they attack, throwing a grenade at Johansson's feet. Johansson is thrown back hitting the glass wall and lands face first on the slope. Egra sees the grenade before it goes off and pulls Ariel down jumping off the edge. Dyson stumbles as he was farthest from the grenade. He jumps down on the lower platform looking down to see that Ariel and Egra are ok. Quickly he pulls out his shotgun and attempts to flank. He climbs back on the other side near the glass door and upon standing back up the blasts one of the elites. The rest are alerted and turn around. Dyson then runs over to a second elite and kicks him in the left hamstring. Kneeling down the elite is now level with Dyson. Dyson quickly wraps his left arm around its neck, bringing his shotgun from the right arm to the front. The robotics would

usually fail at this point but are still in working order. Dyson uses the elite as a shield as he pushes forward firing his shot gun. Down the row three are eliminated and two more jump down. Dyson lets his hostage go and places the barrel in between the mandibles. Fifteen left. Pioneer is yelling to the fatally wounded Johansson to get to the chamber. Rex instead jumps down and steps inside. Rex comes back out in a shorter time and calls for Andreas to come down. As Andreas steps in Johansson grabs a hold of Rex's leg. Rex looks down and shakes him off , and returns a kick to Johansson's broken visor. Andreas and Rex both run off setting a charge on the explosive cores. Using as much strength as he can he limps off onto the lower platform. The charge goes off and glass and metal land in Johansson's back piecing the already weak armor. As a last chance his suit administers adrenaline, giving him enough energy to crawl up back on top of the plat form. Even with the adrenaline he can still feel the sharp shards of glass move around as his muscles twist. He looks up at the chamber seeing a blue sphere with a crystal in the center. Johansson crawls closer to the blue sphere. Finally he barely touches it before going unconscious. The light wraps around his body ripping any foreign shards from his tissue, healing the scars. A defining sound is heard with a flash of light. Johansson is left standing alone; the bodies, shrapnel all were flung off the edge. Feeling much better, with his suit falling apart, he runs down stairs to the rest of his team defending themselves by the yellow generator. He sets his self up and sees Egra run down into the lower level. Johansson first sees Rex holding his own rifle. Knowing what happened last time, he aims for the weapon itself. Johansson fires the round splitting the gun in two, and knocks Rex of his perch. Eliminating the competition Johansson aims his sights on an elite on a turret; his round penetrates the shields with ease and cuts through the neck. After taking out two hostiles by a pillar two other elites flank him. Johansson gets hit and quickly turns around. Firing his rifle the shell rips through the both of them. Already his gun needs repairs. Egra down stairs encounters a group of elites. Quickly he runs up behind one and sticks a grenade to his back, then kicking him into another. Three others turn to look. Egra sprints over to one of the elites upper cutting him with an energy sword. Another one comes over bolting towards Egra with its own sword out Egra slides under and severs the elites foot he falls face first into the ground. Egra come up and ends him with a jab to the back of the head. Egra looks up to see another one coming towards him. Whit no desire to duel, Egra holds up his wrist and fires a plasma blade into the neck of his last opponent. Egra walks over and snatches the blade out of the neck and places it back in his wrist brace. Ariel attempts to sneak over to the vulture. Opening the

hatch she climbs in and slowly takes off. She spins the Gatling and opens fire spraying down the remaining five elites. Andreas however jumps from the top and lands on her window. Andreas stabs through the glass only getting a small portion of his half blade in her shoulder. As she's screaming in pain the stab wound gets blacker and blacker. Ariel blows open the canopy hitting the ejection seat button, sending Andreas landing on the glass structure. Spinning up the gun a phantom drops behind her. She quickly puts her back to Andreas and attempt to take out the phantom. She only gets a few rounds in before Rex takes out the back engine. Ariel notices the warning and throws the vulture high and back crashing it in to the parked pelican. She stumbles out of the pilot seat. Dyson seeing the grunt on one of the side turrets opening fire on Ariel, sprints toward the phantom before it moves away Dyson switches to his third firing mode. He shoots a blue wave at the phantom causing it to shut down. Dyson dives out grappling the plasma turret the grunt was on. Falling he throws his self inside and kills the two grunts. He breaks open the pilot door and kills the elite trying to regain control of the phantom. He gets in and fires the same blue cloud at the dashboard. The phantom wakes up and stabilizes. Dyson then fly it back up to the structure. This whole time Ariel was fighting with Andreas only surviving because of her shield strength. Dyson comes up and Egra and Johansson Jump into the ship. Ariel sees the opportunity and kicks Andreas off of her Rex by this time as gotten the pelican out of the wreckage. Ariel runs for the phantom and remembers the explosives. She waits until she's close enough and sets it off. Andreas comes up and grabs her arm as she tries to get in the phantom. The back of the structure goes off first cascading down to the glass platform. Ariel pulls out a saved plasma grenade a d sticks it to Andreas' genital area and kicks him back she jumps safely in to the phantom as the whole thing begins to collapse down on top of them. Rex unable to do anything yells in anger and despair as he sees his brother in gulfed in to the carnage. By the time he regains any focus from his anger, November has already disappeared. 1:05 AM
