Leave my camera at home. Camera left at the dorm. A night without the camera. "No matter how you say it, it's terrible." I complained to myself, staring at the full-body mirror I'd mounted against the wall. I looked nice, I suppose. My neck and chest felt so naked without my camera, though, and I attempted a remedy through putting on a thin, silver necklace-it didn't work. With an animated sigh I stomped my high-heel clad foot, turning around to open my dorm and step out into the hall, a little wobbly in the unfamiliar clothing. I was a jeans and t-shirt gal, most certainly not a red dress and high heels kind of person. Still, though, my form was accentuated (not to pat myself on the back or anything, but I thought I looked pretty good), which made my quite small breasts just a little more impressive. When I wore a t-shirt they were hardly visible, but I liked the lumps visible with this spaghetti-strap dress. I looked around the cold, rubbing my hands up and down my upper arms to try and keep myself warm. "Fuck! It's so cold!" I complained aloud, looking around in the dusk for the boy that was supposed to take me out. 'The same one you're doing your exposé on, mind you.' My mind chided bitterly, making me bite my lip.

"What a filthy mouth." I jumped at his voice, unused to the sound of it coming from somewhere that I couldn't see. He appeared from nowhere, seemingly, and I swiveled to look at his form, reserved and quiet. "So, I guess we'll go? It's a place only a few minutes from here, a little café." He said. I nodded, beginning to walk in front of him towards the driveway of the university.

"You gonna drive me, ah?" I asked with a grin, looking back at him. I was surprised when I got a 'no' as an answer.

"I don't have a car. If you want me to drive you I'll have to use yours. So we'll walk." He mumbled, and I blinked. No car? He had to be here on a scholarship, then, if he didn't have the money to get himself a vehicle. "That a problem?"

"Not at all." I responded with a small smile, watching as he took the lead and turned left down the road, beginning to walk. For just a moment I thought he was taking me to that bar, but at this point I hardly cared. I was looking him over and I noticed the semi-formal shirt he wore really accentuated the muscles more than the baggy stuff he normally wore. I liked it. I had to take almost two steps to keep up with one of his long strides, and for some reason the silence between us didn't bother me. I mentally snorted as my mind warned me not to fall for him, convincing myself that this was purely business. 'Famous last words.' My mind grunted, earning a mental smack. I was half-lost in thought as he walked, I probably wouldn't be a very good conversationalist, anyway. I walked to the door, about to pull it open when his tanned flesh closed around the handle and pulled it open for me. A country boy? Perhaps, or just a good person. Either way, I thought it was cute; I watched as he walked off to get us a table, motioning for me to follow once he did. I took a seat before he did, pulling my own chair out, thank you very much. "Nice little place." I commented, picking up a menu and absentmindedly flipping through it.

"Yeah. S'not too bad, eh?" He responded with a smile, and I stared at those teeth of his again. They were big. I found some perverse attraction to them, wanted to see them in action as he ate. Perhaps Canada wasn't too bad of a place. I didn't respond until our waiter came, too busy scanning over the many dishes and trying to pick something out that wouldn't make me look like a pig as I ate.

"I'll have the chicken pasta, thanks." I said, handing the apron-wearing server my menu. Sam ordered some kind of pasta as well and I turned, feeling myself switch into reporter mode. "So! Where're you from?" I asked, smiling. He turned to me and smiled back, though it looked like he was a bit suspicious of me. 'With good reason.'

"French Canada. Dundee, Quebec." He said quietly. "Yes, I speak French, and no, it's not the romantic Parisian kind, and no, I won't speak it right here." He said, answering three of my questions right in a row. "I'm here on a scholarship for writing." He continued, my head shaking just a little bit. I didn't need to even ask any questions, he'd tell me everything I needed to know.

"Cool, cool. I'm a native Mainer, born and rasied." I said with a little grin, the boy nodding. "What do you write?" I asked, tilting my head.

"Odd little things. Poetry, prose, nothing really specific." He replied, though I found myself staring over his form. There was something I couldn't quite pinpoint about him that was against the norm, and this thing was very attractive. We didn't talk until the food came and I found that I was smiling like a fond lover as he swiftly devoured his food, watching with genuine interest as those teeth cleaved through the chicken in his food like it was melted butter.

"Listen...I'm sorry about snapping at you before." I was surprised as we walked back to the university and heard his apology. "I'm not good wit hother people, really, and I can get a little aggressive sometimes." He said quietly, and I found my eyes fixed to his downcast ones. They were glowing gently in the deepening dark, and I felt like I could stare into them and somehow get hypnotized. "Forgive me?" He asked playfully, turning and giving an actual smile.

"Mmm. Yes." I giggled, patting the man on the stomach with one of my hands. I could feel the hard abs beneath the fabric and I gave a little, greedy feel over the things. I heard him grunt quietly, rationalizing that it was simple surprise and nothing more. I giggled and wrapped an arm around his back after I pulled back, feeling his torso rise up and down with his breathing. 'No! No! Pull away, right now!' My mind demanded angrily. I disobeyed and saw the lights of the dorm ahead, clutching his muscled form close to my own. When we finally reached it I stood in front of the glass doors to the building, twisting smoothly over to his front and looking up at his face. "Heh. I had a really good time, Sam." I murmured, placing a hand on his stomach again, spreading my fingers over his navel. I really didn't care if people saw me, which was quite strange. They were mostly asleep, probably. I felt the warmth of his body clench beneath my fingers, biting my lip as I sucked a gust of breath in from between my glossed lips, full and warm. I stood up on my tip-toes, helped out a bit by the heels and approaching his face.

I gave him a quick peck on the jaw and then turned crisply, walking back to my dorm with sharp clicks from my heels on the linoleum tile. I walked inside and closed the door, asking sure to lock it and lying down on my bed with wide open eyes.

What had I done? I had to end it. I had to end it before I didn't want to end it anymore.
