"Grimmmlocckkkkk..." an eerie voice whispered. Grimlock shot awake and looked side-to-side. He jumped from his bed, still shirtless from his earlier encounter with Cura and Mileena. The voice was airy, like wind through the leaves of a dead tree.

"Griiiiiiiimmmmmlooooooccccckkkkk..." it whispered again, this time it was closer! Grimlock's needles shot forth from his fingers and glistened. The voice came again, moving closer and closer to him...

"Grimlock," it was right behind him! Grimlock spun around and stabbed, aiming high. His hand dispersed a large cloud of oddly-shaped white gas. It appeared to be shaped like a bipedal humanoid creature. Grimlock looked at it for a second, then retracted his claw and laughed.

"Whew, it's only you!" Grimlock said happily. The smoke solidified into a creature. It was the same appearance generally, no eyes, nose, or mouth, just a blank face. It was merely solid now...a snow-white, bald humanoid with no face. "You had me at ends for a second or two, Oxide."

"Not my intention my lord, I assure you," Oxide said and bowed. Grimlock walked over to his closet and pulled out a robe which he slung over his shoulders rather hastily.

"So, what brings you to me?" Grimlock asked.

"News, my lord. News of a makeshift Behaku fortress in the city," Oxide said and paced.

"Here? In the city itself?" he asked in slight awe. Oxide nodded.

"A warehouse-turned-arms factory," Oxide continued. "They make the weapons right under the city's nose, and then transport them to their allies elsewhere. They constantly raid nearby steel mills and the like, taking what they need and then some. I have heard on the wind they plan an assault tomorrow night."

"Miserable dogs, robbing to fuel their own dying war...pathetic," Grimlock spat out the last word with cruel hate. Oxide remained emotionless.

"What are your orders, my lord?" Oxide asked and dropped to his knee, ready to retrieve his commands. Grimlock turned to face him.

"I want an attack force ready by tonight. Thirty at the least. Our target: The Johnson Lev y Steel Corps. We ambush them when they arrive, understood?" Grimlock finished reciting his plan. Oxide stood up.

"It shall be done my lord," he began to dissipate.

"Oxide!" Grimlock called, watching Oxide re-solidify and look at him.

"My lord?" Oxide asked, confused.

"Bring Seros with you," Grimlock smiled evilly and chuckled. Oxide looked taken aback.

"My lord Grimlock you must be joking? Surely Seros is far too powerful for such a small mission," Oxide tried to reason with Grimlock, but Grimlock only chuckled again.

"I predict a much different outcome then the last attack we made against the Behaku, Oxide. I fear the battle will prove itself much more troublesome then we predict. You might need him..." Grimlock laughed and dropped his robe as he returned to his bed.

"Understood my lord...It...it shall be done," Oxide said unsurely and bowed before completely dissipating and slinking out the window like a snake...

Eve sat on his couch and watched the news-reporter speak, his mate curled up next to him.

"And just a few hours ago, recently-incarcerated serial killer Dameon Swade has escaped from the Allen Institution for the Criminally Insane. In a daring move, Swade killed a number of the patrolling guards and even a nurse who had done nothing more then got in his path...these...these are dark times ladies and gentlemen...very dark indeed...we here at the station advise all residents of Mallakoza to get off the streets, get off the streets NOW and return to any safe place you know of," he newscaster finished. Eve had shot up halfway through the broadcast. Cyllea looked at him with wide eyes.

"That's impossible..." Cyllea whispered. Eve wrapped his arms around her and held her close.

"Shhhh don't worry, you know just as well as I do that Dameon wouldn't do that," Eve assured. Cyllea broke out of his embrace gently and glared at him.

"I don't see how you can jump to conclusions like that...we both know what he's capable of," Cyllea urged.

"Trust me...please just give him the benefit of the doubt, I promise he wouldn't do that...he would never kill again...not after his children were born," Eve licked her cheek. Cyllea blushed and smiled. "So will you trust me?"

"Well..." Cyllea looked away. Eve brought her chin up and placed his lips against hers. Cyllea's eyes widened for a second then closed as she felt her mate's tongue wrap around hers. They kissed passionately for a few minutes then Cyllea broke the kiss. "Ok...I do trust you...but what if we're wrong?"

"If we're wrong...then I'll stop him this time..." Eve whispered and held her tightly again. Cyllea nuzzled him back and licked his neck lovingly. As they snuggled, they heard wings flapping towards the window. A large, feathery frame landed on the balcony and sauntered into the penthouse.

"Hey guys, I wa--" Kane walked in and stopped short. "Oh god dammit! Why do I always have to be the cockblock?"

Cyllea and Eve got up and laughed.

"Forget about it, nothing was going on anyway," Eve laughed and knocked Kane with his head. Kane chuckled sheepishly and ruffled out his feathers.

Cyllea walked into the kitchen.

"Want something to drink boys?" she called.

"Just water, thanks," Kane called back.

"I'm good," Eve said loudly. He turned to Kane. "You look like you have something on your mind..."

Kane nodded his head. "But I don't want to get Cyllea all tussled up..."

"Hey, Cyllea we're gonna be on the balcony," Eve called into the kitchen. "Problem solved!"

The two walked out onto the balcony and Kane jumped onto his hind legs and leaned against the balcony railing.

"What's on your mind?" Eve asked. Kane smoothed back the feathers on his head and then jumped back down and leaned in close to Eve.

"Alright...I heard some news..." Kane whispered.

"What kinda news?" Eve asked.

"I heard that...well I heard that there's something big about to go down soon. There's some kind of Behaku movement. Big. Majorly big. So freakin' big it makes Teya's tits look like A-cups..." Kane paused after he heard that pour out of his mouth. Eve looked semi-shocked, semi-tickled.

"Ooooookay? So where's this gonna be taking place?" Eve asked. Kane shook his head.

"I heard a couple different things, I heard the steel mill and I heard the middle of the damn city...there's conflicting information here..." Kane said with an unhappy mutter.

"Well, we can root out the obvious...I highly doubt the Behaku would attack the city...there's nothing to gain and everything to lose. Wide open spaces and no victory prize isn't typically the Hollowborn strategy," Eveser said and looked over the balcony.

"So you're saying we should plan for the Johnson Levy?" Kane asked.

"Oh I think that would be wise," a female voice came from the sliding balcony door. Cyllea was leaning against the door frame with her top two paws crossed. She had one eyebrow raised and she looked rather irritated. Kane and Eve looked at eachother awkwardly, without knowing what to say...

"Allow me gentlemen," Cyllea said matter-of-factly and stood in front of them, her bright red eyes practically glowing. "I have been left out enough for more than a few lifetimes; I will not be left out again. I will be accompanying you tomorrow. I am a warrior, not a housewife."

"But--" Kane began.

"Did that last sentence sound like a question feather-boy?" Cyllea looked at him coldly. Eve was about to open his mouth and speak...

"Something to say big boy?" she glared at him. He immediately looked down and muttered.

"No Cy..."

"Well, now that that's out of the way! Kane did you still want that water dear?" she asked. Kane nodded quickly.

"Uh-huh," he muttered.

"Oh cheer up boys! I was only kidding!" Cyllea laughed and walked back to the kitchen. Eve and Kane looked at eachother. "But I'm still coming with you!"

"Damn boy, do you know how to pick 'em!" Kane whispered and winked at him. Eve laughed and jabbed him with his elbow.

It was dark in the office. There was only one light on, and it came from the outside work area of the warehouse. Kyasha looked out over the workforce of Behaku, watching them toil for her own cause...she thought to herself.

"Is all this really worth it? All the death and the chaos...maybe I should just give up and join the Omaki...at least I'd get to keep my powers..." She thought for a second, biting her green-painted nails. "No! No...I won't roll over and die like Swade...no...not gonna happen!"

"Lady Kyasha?" a voice came through her office door. She stopped biting her nails and looked over.

"Come in Jaxus!" she called. The door opened and Jaxus stepped through.

"Lady Kyasha, we have everything set for the raid tomorrow. The plant will be at its prime holding capacity tomorrow. When they leave at closing, we'll move in, take the supplies, and then be out by dawn. Sound good?" Jaxus read through the plans. Kyasha nodded.

"Sounds fine...we have it set so there will be minimum resistance yes?" she asked. Jaxus read through again.

"That is correct, m'lady," he said and laughed a bit. Kyasha looked nervous. "Hey? You ok?"

Kyasha looked at him.

"Araku kklinas techlan amderaksu Jaxus belani? She asked in Behaku. Jaxus looked puzzled.

"Cocuna belaxo nelturanus abulaxar? Meltoxa cann ichtoff gelaxu," he responded. Kyasha looked still just as nervous. "No one will think differently of you if you stop. These warriors will bleed and die for you, they will follow you to oblivion, and they will not let you down."

"Jaxus, what would I do without you?" she asked and walked up close to him. She nestled herself against him and curled up. He held her close, laying his head down against her soft red hair.

"Probably live happily ever after..." he said and chuckled. Kyasha laughed as well, sniffling a bit, but laughing and smiling. Then she let go and pushed away from him.

"Rally my men. Tomorrow we attack. I want at least thirty of our best warriors, no exceptions. I want you also to assemble my Occulara," Kyasha said powerfully. Jaxus looked at her concernedly.

"All those men? For a raid? Kyasha are you sure? And you really wish to accompany them?" he asked. Kyasha nodded.

"If these men will bleed and die for me then I shall be there to prove that I shall bleed and die for them, we shall prove we are a force to reckon with for all who witness us," she said and looked back over at Jaxus. "Understood soldier?"

"Clear as crystal my lady!" he said and saluted her at attention. Then he bowed and rushed out of the doors. She could see and hear him yelling out over the warehouse.

"All hands to arms, you scabberous dogs! Thirty men! No more, no less!" he yelled. "Did I stutter you worthless maggots?! To arms! Tomorrow we make our move!"

Kyasha giggled. Jaxus might be a bit of a dork sometimes, but he could prove useful occasionally. She smiled. "Tomorrow we re-supply, then we make our move..."
