*This is an adult story, if you are not 18(21 in some evil places) I must ask you close this now, thank you. KC* Fate's Game I remember it like it was yesterday, things were different then. For one I still lived on Earth. My name is Irena A. Rhodes. I would have graduated high school this year if the war hadn't started, but that's not terribly important right now. I was a normal girl back then, more occupied with my own self image then the world around me. I didn't even notice her at first, Meka. She just kind of showed up one day, I couldn't tell you exactly. The girl she pretended to be never really got close to anyone, she kept to herself. It was strange she was gorgeous, yet she pretended not to know. Shinny red hair, full body, slender legs, and the tightest rump id ever seen. Yet off all the things that made her stand out, her eyes were the most amazing. They were yellow, they just seemed to glow. She avoided looking directly at anyone, I always thought she was just shy. O how I was wrong. Many of the students treated her poorly, since she did not talk much she was seen as smug. Little miss perfect to good for any of us. All lies. I remember that first time we actually spoke. It was late in the day class had let out hours ago, I had stayed after class with a club I was in. I left the building tired form the long day, and there she was just sitting out in the filed next to the school watching the sun sink below the horizon. I would never have seen her if it had not been for her eyes. * * *

(Some Time Ago) "Hard to believe anyone would wait out here this long just to see the sun set over the town, there are much beater views." "You can say that because you've never been as far from home as I am. This is the only time when this place fells right, when the suns light fades away and the stars are just starting to gleam over the blue of your sky." Her voice was sad, she spoke with pain deep in her voice. "Do you mind if I join you?" She turned to me, her amazing eyes locked onto mine. "Please. I've been so lonely here." * * * We sat there and talked for hours, until the sun had long since set. The chill of the night forcing us apart. As time moved on we grew closer and close, her lonesome tone faded more and more with each passing day. Sometimes fate is cruel, sometimes when the world seems ok fate likes to remind you, you have no say in it. If I've learned anything in my journeys, it's that fate likes pain, It likes it as much as we love sex. It twist and turns, destroying countless lives ever second of ever day. Humanity can't change. It is what it is, Meka showed me that. Are greed and lust drive us to kill one another for petty distinction, on a world we are convinced is un-damageable, we know of are flaw and still we ignored it. We brought war after war on are selves each becoming grander and more deadly as they came and went. Wars became world conflicts and soon my world would face yet another in a long line of cataclysms. That small town I called home, how I miss that place, so long ago now. It was that day, that day that change my life forever, the day I saw Meka for who...what she really was. It was a Friday, the sky was clear all seemed well, fate likes to twist things. We had all seen the news. We all knew, yet we chose not to see the coming storm. I don't know who did what when, and I don't care. That day the sky burned and the earth shook, that day flesh burned, and I lost my home. I awoke in pain the likes can't be defined with words, how I had awaken at all was beyond any explanation. I lay on a cold surface felling fingers pick across my skin. I forced through the pain to move my head, to see what was happening to me. That image is burned in my eyes, my skin was burned red and black two robotic arms with many pointed tolls were picking and peeling away the layers of dead flesh that was my skin. I watched as they took more and more off until I saw the gray muscle that had been cooked even beneath. I felt hands run across my head and a mask slid softly over my face, it did not fit right but it was held in place with care. I drifted off, the pain fading away. I awoke sore and thirsty, the room smelled of disinfectant and at first I swore I was in a hospital. It was a small room I was laying on the same table I had been, too my left was a long table with strange devices I had never seen before, and many that I recognized the use of but seemed constructed oddly. On my right was a door and a number of electronic monitors all beeping and humming there life giving song. It was not me breathing it was this device, was I that far gone? In front of me there was a computer console, behind it sat something I could not have imagined. She was slender and her eyes were yellow, she dressed in a lose fitting garment, but this was not what made her astounding. She was not human, the only thing I could describer her as was a cat, short deep burgundy fur, that shined as the light struck it. Ears misplace high on her head. Fiery red hair was pulled back in a long tail, yet no were near as long as her real tail. Concern rested in her eyes, her tail curled gently form behind her back, under her arm as if it were trying to comfort her. Part of me was terrified, and another stronger part wanted her to come over to me and hold me tight. I was so afraid, was this were my life would end naked on a medical table as some strange creature looked on. I tried to move, the pain this brought me was agonizing. I saw the cat rise from her chair quickly, she was at my side, her gentle touch calming me. Yet at the same time it brought forth such feelings of sadness and despair, as this beings fingers passed over my scalp and I felt her touch the bare skin that was there. "Its going to be o'kay Irena, I know your frightened. Just stay calm, the more you move the longer it will take for the re-generator to do its work. I was almost to late, my ships scanner didn't pick up the missile until it was too close to stop. There's not much of the town left, I didn't want to tell you like this. I wanted to...I have bad news. By the fates hands I'm so sorry. Before I found you, you were badly burned and...you took a lot of radiation. I can treat you but...some things don't repair. Your ovaries were destroyed, the ovum's inside burst I can't repair them. I'm sorry, your sterile...I know you wanted a family one day and...its beyond this ships ability. By your medical standers you should be dead right now. All I can give you is your life, ill try and get your scalp to re-grow some hair follicles, it will take time...you have to rest know, it will be okay, I'm still here. Its me Meka, Irena. I'm not going to let you go wars have already taken so much from me I want let it take you." * * * I don't know who long I was on that bed. Long enough to have atrophy, Meka kept her word she got my hair to grow back , yes back to being the lovely brunet I was born, even my lashes and eye brows. still I'm not the same as I was. My breast aren't as big as they used to be, a lot of the cells burned up and with out hormones they are not going to grow back. My belly button is gone, all my skin was regenerated so its flawless and smooth, wish it had been before, and of course I'm not a young women any more I'm...forever a girl. In some ways I'm not complying no more cramps, no more bleeding...I've shrunk up like a little kid again, two fingers is all that will fit any more. Because all the skin is new, I'm very sensitive to the slightest touch. My sex drives all but gone, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the felling now and then. I guess you could say are relationship has advanced since then. With my home gone my family and every one who knew me dead and gone...I was alone, as was she. Meka used to be an explorer, but her people had old traditions. Fate is cruel, she had risen up the ranks, been given a command position a rare event for a female on her home world. Still fate is cruel, she followed orders explored the uncharted sectors of space for three years, her past never mattered, she was awarded commendations a star in there fleets admiralty she was seen as the up incoming commander, who one day may just become the first female admiral. Fate is cruel. It was not to be, when she was born the law was not yet set, today on her home world every child is screened genetically for something, if its found the child is put down with little ritual it is discarded...what is this gene surly something that would cause the child to grow in a tortured state right? No, it is only a gene the hints at the possibility they wont be normal, it is not even a absolute, just possibility to desire your own side. On Earth it was a shunned lifestyle, and there was some who would fell that all who condoned or lived it should die...but that was only few. For her it was law, be a girl who loves a girl and death is your only salvation. Garbage, to kill for a reason that is uncontrollable, to take life from one who has just breathed there first breath, monsters! Fate is sick, and cruel. Meka was born before the screening law, it came up in one of her medical reports, so they asked her to be screened. What did she have to fear she was Commander Meka Gilean, top of her class, distinguished service emblem still on her chest as they took her blood sample. Fate dose not have to be fair, fate can give you everything you ever wanted and in one moment rip it all away. Meka Gilean, former commander of star ships was discharged, and slated for termination. Her mate committed suicide a day later poor guy another victim of unjust laws and a twist of fate. Until then she had never even thought about it, she was happy with her mate, the love they shared still burns with in her to this day and brings tears to her eyes each year his birth day passes. She escaped with the help of a number of crew men form her last assignment, they let her take a scout craft normally crewed by five, it was more then she could a have ever dreamed. Just because fate wants to play with you dose not mean the living can't bend its rules. She traveled to a world were no one would look for her. A world witch by galactic law was un-contactable until it reached a level of sophistication allowing it to contact them, Earth. * * *

(Present Day) As we touch here in the bed we now share, I cant help but think perhaps fate is not cruel perhaps it just likes testing are resolve to live... No, it's a cruel manipulative bastard who gives and takes then leaves you alone and with nothing. Are forms intertwined satisfying are need for another, I know we are thinking the same thing, well fate what will you do to use now we are happy and in love let us play another round of your game.
