Okay, so this is my first furry story ever! Sort of. I've taken the time to construct one of my fantasies into a linear story of sorts. This is the story of a tiger's battle through a tournament to become stronger. I give this an adult rating because of a soft masturbation sequence and intense fighting scenes.

Also, if you're into gut punching for furries, you're in for a treat! Please, I greatly appreciate any feedback, compliments and constructive advice you may have, so, COMMENTS PLEASE!

This is part one of a series. Enjoy!

EDIT: I got a query about this, so I'll clear it up now. This is set in a dystopian futuristic fantasy alternate earth. I know, it's a mouthful. The layout is similar to our earth, but this planet is 3 times bigger. The countries are, for the most part, segregated and don't interact unless called upon. Some countries are highly advanced in technologies, while others are more like luddites and have transcended the need of excessive equipment, using magic and spiritual methods in everyday life.

Also, in case anyone was wondering; Yes, this is a fetishistic story. A fetish for furry gut punching.

Tal's Grand Journey; Resolve to Fight

Tal looks out past the clearing of the jungle oasis and into the vast desert. His light brown eyes size up the group of pyramids that are his destination. The tiger then turns his gaze at the jewel encrusted bracer he'd found. Rumor was that at least one of Anubis' seven artifacts was imperative to have a shot in the finals. The sun was finally starting to set on this arduous day. The 6'1, 30 year old tiger rubbed his broad bare shoulder with his paw, and lightly scratched in between the fur on his brawny chest. His adrenaline was beginning to subside at last, although still incredibly high. Tal returns to his makeshift shelter to tend to his fire. It had been a mild day near the desert, at only 75 degrees, meaning it'd be freezing tonight. The mini tent was made of giant palm leaves and rubber tree branches, fastened together with vine. This campsite had been his temporary home, one of many throughout this ordeal. "AWWWRAWN", Tal yawned quite loudly, surprising himself, as he throws another piece of brush on the embers. An ordeal indeed! The tournament really had taken him two weeks to progress through, and it was ridiculous. Alongside the other warrior participants there were ogres and orcs, giant reptiles; lizardmen, nagas and lesser evolved snakes were all scattered along the path to the main event; Anubis' grand ring located in the pyramid of Giza. There were even mages and elves and other opponents completely out of their element. Some enemies Tal couldn't even identify and they looked like they came right out of a Japanese RPG video game. Tal had gotten this far though, since leaving his home in the southern part of NewAfrika. He wasn't giving up now.

The moon was high and Tal's fire blazed warmly near his tent. Tal lies out on his palm leaf bed and puts his hands behind his head. The tiger inhales deeply. As he relaxes, he grimaces, catching a whiff of his own odor. Tal sighs; he hadn't been able to properly bathe since beginning this thing, but he remembers his resolve. He needed to get stronger so he could take back his town. Leo the Vile Leopard had actually challenged Micah, their leader's position. Many thought it was cowardice for Micah to turn it down, but Tal, among others, saw the wisdom in his actions. Leo returned later with an army of hyenas, hyenas of all allies, and attacked their home. This had taken the Guard by surprise and Leo's power overwhelmed the kingdom. Leo now ruled with an iron fist. Tal, being the head knight had managed to escape to find help, but no one dared to challenge Leo; his reputation preceded himself all throughout NewAfrika. Tal, at his wit's end, finally heard about the tournament and entered to get stronger. The tournament was open worldwide, with Anubis, the current powerhouse of Third Earth, as the final battle. Simple rules; fight through the southern tip of NewAfrika all the way to Egypt and fight in the grand ring. If somehow Anubis was defeated, the victor would get one wish granted from Anubis within his power. Hordes of lunatics and desperate warriors alike (including Tal) entered the tourney. Tal chuckled to himself; who in their right mind would actually think that they could defeat Anubis? Tal's goal wasn't the wish itself, but the strength in progressing through, and survival above all. Even if he won, Tal wasn't even sure what he'd wish for. To defeat Leo? Sure, but what if something like this happened again? He couldn't rely on another wish. Lost in thought, Tal suddenly jerks up at attention to the subtle rustle of a branch and the glimpse of shadow in the moonlight. "Who's there?" Tal growls lowly, not wanting to attract more attention. This was not ideal. Tal needed to get some rest before setting out early tomorrow morning. Tal locks a glare with an amber pair of eyes. A few beats pass, and the figure slips away, the sound of branches getting further and further in distance. Exhausted, Tal dismisses the occurrence as another weary warrior, carefully choosing their battles. The tiger drifts off into a sleep.

Tal awakens and utters a frustrated sigh. The moon was still there in the pitch-black sky. Not too proud of what he's about to do he swallows his pride and loosens his waistband. His adrenaline was way too high. Inside his dreams were the visions of his family; his two tiger/leopard hybrid cubs, Ty and Yong , and his wife, Sheila, oh beautiful Sheila. Eyes closed tightly, Tal's hands began to caress his torso. His broad chest heaved as his breathing increased. Holding on to the image of his amazing leopardess, his hands smooth down to his belly, surprisingly toned. When he had left the kingdom, he had quite the bearish gut on him; it's still there but just smaller and more muscular. The peace in the kingdom had left him on the soft side. Up until he had to face Leo, Tal hadn't realized how far out of shape he'd been. The new brawniness on his body reminded him of when he and Sheila first met and he'd just been enlisted to the Guard. The muscle had to be a testament to his growing strength. This was really getting to him now. The tiger paws began to work the inner sanctum of his loins, beneath the loosened hakama pants. The wraps on his calves kept them from coming completely off in his gyrations. Leaving one paw working in his hakama, Tal places one hand on his stomach and begins to trace a single digit along his black stripes outlining his white-furred belly. He loved it when Sheila did this. Then, he places his paw flat on his stomach and lets his digit rest just inside his deep wide navel. The bright moonlight made the orange tiger's fur seem to glow. Tal purrs slightly, as he feels himself approaching his limit. Tal glances back and up into the branches; the shadowy figure had the same idea and had come back to watch. At this point, Tal didn't care if the silhouette came down and joined him; he hadn't felt this good in over a month. Tal did his best to keep his growling down as he released himself on the side of the campfire. It was quite a bit, seeing as how he'd been away from Shiela for nearly 2 months now. Tal finished up and tucked everything away. Glancing back at the shadowy figure, the tiger sneered at it noticing its amber eyes were now wide with awe. Tal, now feeling like he took a bottle valium, goes back to his bed as the silhouette finished things itself. He holds tight on to the bracer he'd found. Pointing a warning digit at the figure, Tal gives a word of advice, "Try anything in my vicinity and I'll tear out your larynx." The amber eyes begin to close wearily while Tal finishes his pitch, "Go ahead and sleep. If you're there tomorrow, prepare to answer some questions." Not feeling bothered, and since the shadow didn't seem like much of a threat, Tal drifted off into a deep slumber.

Tal hurriedly finishes his bath in the nearby spring. He was running late. It was only daybreak, but this was the time he had planned to set out. Now, he'd have to deal with the scorching heat in the desert. Shaking himself dry, Tal quickly rewraps his hakama; he left his wristbands and bracer on. Soaking a giant palm leaf in the spring, he prepares to head out with that piece of shade he'd just made. As he moves out, he notices that damned shadow in the trees moving along with him. Irritated, Tal stops in his tracks, digs his right paw claws into a close at hand boulder and hurls it into the trees. The sizeable boulder takes out a good chunk of branches, including the ones the figure had been standing on. This warrior had some decent speed and avoided total pulverization. Now out of the hidden confines of branches and leaves, Tal could see clearly who his stalker was. A black and red wolf wearing an open black trench coat shakes his head trying to get his bearings from the sudden fall. "Why are you following me?!?" Tal snarls at the canine. Unable to get his bearings the wolf just moves. And move he did. Before Tal can sheer out another query, that red furred chest was right at his own. Tal is taken aback. Unexpectedly, a flurry of blows rained into the tiger. Two crosses, left and right, hook into the tiger's jowls followed by two fierce uppercuts right into Tal's unprepared gut. "Ughgouh!" was all that Tal could get out before attempting a counter swipe with his claws. The swipe failed miserably, as the wolf retreated rapidly. His speed was unreal. It almost seems like he's flickering in the early morning light. His black attire really made him look like a shadow too. Tal drops his water soaked leaf and goes into his kenpo fighting stance. Now, sunrise, it didn't matter what time Tal left, he was going to be in some serious heat. At the very least he was going make that wolf....understand his frustration.

The wolf flickered left and right, forward and back and then began circling Tal. The wolf barked mockingly and Tal struck outward, missing of course and took another solid blow to the diaphragm. Tal coughed a little spit that time .This was really beginning to annoy the tiger. The wolf's speed was great, but his tactics were novice at best. It was almost as if the wolf were playing around. Readjusting his stance, Tal stuck out one foot paw as the wolf began to circle again. Just as Tal thought, the canine went reeling head over heels and slammed to the ground. The wolf felt that one, as Tal heard him wine from the collision. The wolf reaches into his coat and reveals an extendable rod. He quickly stands holding it out in front of himself. The rod charges with some sort of violet energy and begins to glow. Tal not knowing what was going on, did know he didn't want to get hit with it. The wolf holds the charged rod at his side and gets into a sprinter's pose. Tal guards left claw over right in front of his face, but neglects his body. Tal's brown eyes go wide as the wolf dashes forward at top speed. He jams the rod straight above the tiger's navel. Tal curls over the rod as he's lifted up off the ground. The rod sinks right in compressing the muscles to the stomach. Gagging, he could feel the breakfast of mangos and nuts being churned around in his belly. Hanging over the glowing rod, mouth agape, esophageal saliva dripped down the rod. The wolf smirked as the rod glowed brighter then emitted a sonic boom blasting the tiger backwards into a tree. Tal quickly doubled over as he slumped back on the bark. That was it. Tal had been holding back on the obviously inexperienced fighter but was ready to have at it now. His light brown eyes shifted to red as his primal instincts jolted in. The wolf had recharged his rod and prepared for another dash attack ready to put the tiger away. Almost galloping, the wolf lunged forward swinging the staff as if he wanted a homerun with Tal's head. Tal was on his feet in an instant and grabbed that rod just as the pup was going to strike. The staff glowed again and emitted its blast, but this time Tal held fast and glared his red eyes right into the wolf's amber ones. The wolf was utterly floored from how quickly Tal had recovered from his previous attack. Not only that, but absorbing the shock of the charged blast as well! "How...?" The wolf's question was cut right off with a swift elbow up under his muzzle. "Now you want to talk?" Tal scoffed, "How inapt." They both still held onto the staff. After the left elbow Tal switches around grabbing the staff with his left paw dragging the wolf in and delivers a deep right elbow into his taut lanky gut. Tal's bulking elbow sank into the red fur as the wolf's bushy two-tone red and black tail stood on end. Tal could feel the wolf's abdominal muscles' pitiful attempt to contract to no avail. The wolf is completely double over Tal's elbow and his muzzle is pressed over Tal's shoulder onto the tiger's chest. "Feel good?" Tal asked as he prodded his elbow around making squelching sounds inside the wolf. The wolf responded with a hack of copious amounts of drool onto Tal's shoulder. Disgusted, the tiger quickly dismisses the canine with a sharp back fist to the snout, sending him into another palm tree.

Vance slumped against the palm tree holding his stomach. This tiger had absurd strength. And it seemed like he was a veteran when it came to fighting and survival. It had to be that Bracer of Ruin, one of Anubis' seven artifacts, which gave him the power boost. The wolf looked at his own artifact, the Amulet of Light. He reached in his pocket and took out a locket. Inside is the picture of his love, Cheri. "I swear I'll find you, just pray for my victory, ok babe?" Vance resolves. His thoughts are interrupted as his rod was uncouthly returned, slammed and embedded into the tree right beside his head. Vance looks up expecting to see the tiger there, but no... he was still on the other side of the clearing. That cat THREW the rod across the jungle clearing. What a pain. Vance knew for sure it had to be the Bracer of Ruin.

Tal combed through the fur on his belly looking at the nice round knot that staff left in him. It was purple and stung to the touch. That wolf wasn't the best fighter but he sure was resourceful. Maybe that speed had something to do with the amulet on his neck. Perhaps it's one of the artifacts. Whatever the case, Tal needed to neutralize the wolf and get some answers. Tal watches as the wolf attempts to pry his weapon out of the palm tree. His strength is inadequate, and the staff doesn't budge. Tal seizes the moment to get a preemptive strike on the wolf's dropped guard. "What an amateur!" Tal thinks. The wolf suddenly notices the charging tiger and leaves the staff in the tree. For now, he needed to end this fight.

Vance dashes around quickly trying to disorient the tiger once more. But really he's just trying to buy time to come up with some kind of plan. "Oh, why did I attack this brute?!?" Vance regretted. If he hadn't jerked around last night (literally), he could've swiped that bracer right off the tiger. He could easily leave this tiger in the dust, if he wanted -at least he thought- but the bracer; he'd have to face it sooner or later. Truly a pain!

Tal is about totally fed up with this wolf's antics. He stands with his arms folded waiting for the wolf to do something other than dash around. The tiger calmly drops his arms and gives a great leap into the air and slams his foot paws down into the jungle floor destroying the flat surfaces as the rock and soil buckle up. The wolf is tripped up in the debris and his foot paws get stuck in the rock-soil. As the wolf desperately tries to free himself he sees Tal rapidly approaching, the cat's speed was nothing to bark at either. One paw free, but too late! Tal is all over the wolf like the canine's very own trench coat. Tal tackles the wolf to the rocky ground gripping into his red chest fur with an eagle-claw grab. Tal ferociously growls at the wolf, "NOW, I've got you! Answer truthfully, and I'll let you live!"
