this ones short but to the point, hope you like it,

Issac stared out the window of the police cruiser. The barred windows, and the silence were very claustrophobic in the tight space, but thankfully it was officer Franco. The elderly neighbors had called frantic about drug gangs breaking into the house to grow weed and pot, Franco had showed up with a bullet proof vest, and six armed and ready members of the force backing him up.

"I thought you had a place to stay." Franco started as he drove Issac to the station. "I can't cover you for this, it was breaking and entering, and six of my men saw you."

Issac squirmed about. He knew he was in trouble, and it made him feel even worse. "Don't worry, if you do go to jail which is unlikely, you won't be there long." Franco had a 'fantastic' way with words, somehow Issac felt worse.

"Whatever, I guess it runs in my veins." Franco sighed, pulling over.

"Issac, you're your own man now. Start acting like one and take a hold of your life. Granted that's harder for you then for most people, don't give up." They started driving again, but the only thing on Issac's mind was how he was destined to be alone. No family, no real friendships he couldn't manage to screw up, and no one to love.

"There's something else Issac." Franco said, his mood darkening. "It's about your mother."

School was a slow moving hell for Nathan and Vincent. They realized that finding Issac would be impossible, and searching blindly by car wouldn't work. But the fact that for three days they'd be waiting by the phone was infuriating. They were both so powerless, and they weren't used to it.

With each class they would've had with Issac a repeating reminder of his disappearance, they were in a big slump from the start of their drive to school, until they got home. And even then with each un-related phone call their hearts fluttered with hope, to be dropped ten stories to the hard earth.

Although neither one would admit it to the other, they thought of calling each other to cheer them up, but chickened out at the last second, either number on their individual phones, their thumbs jumping from send to end. They each felt the weight of guilt, Vincent for being so stupid and hurting Issac. He hadn't embraced himself, and lied to avoid seeming unsure of himself. Nathan had of course pushed Issac to the extreme for the answer he already knew, but wanted the dog to say himself. It was so greedy.

But, the end of the day bell rang at last, signifying the end of day one's imprisonment. Vincent collected his things and headed down the hall for his after school stuffs. Nathan put a paw on his shoulder. "Hey, any news?"

Vincent grinned a little, "Since lunch when you asked me? No. don't worry he's fine." Vincent said with a conviction he didn't truly feel. He just prayed he wasn't being stupid about no calling the police.

Nathan pressed on "How do you know? Hell, how can you be so calm about this? He literally ran away and has no one to turn to."

"Except us eventually." Vincent said with the faux confidence, "And even if he defied his nature and ran away, he'll call us eventually."

"Well sorry if eventually isn't good enough for me." Nathan said with a stern face, but it soon de-intensified. "Sorry I'm so" he made a face with wide eyes emphasizing his out-of-it-ness.

Vincent nodded, "I understand. Look don't blame yourself, I had an epiphany while I thought you two were a serious thing. You want him to be happy more then you want him to be with you right? And if not, you don't love him enough."

Nathan made a shocked faced that fell into a closed eyed smile that made Vincent feel ignorant to something. Damn that smile irked him. "Obsession works a little different, but thanks." He sighed, "I guess ill go home and sit by the phone." He put to thumbs up, made a face that said he was ashamed of himself but couldn't help it, and waved goodbye.

Nathan walked outside to a crowd surrounding his car, not unlike the first day he arrived at the school. He pushed through, very unsure if hearing his name was bad, until he heard Jeromy's. It was gonna be bad.

He broke through the wall of people to see his car, painted assorted colors, penis' cumming all over the windows, and his sunroof cracked. Jeromy and his gang sat by his car, located next to their art, and four spaces down, grins of victory on their faces. Nathan did his best not to show his pissed off-ness, but he could tell he was failing.

"Like it? Now everyone will know you're a cock sucking fag." Jeromy said, looking pleased with himself. The crowd had fallen silent, and only the gang of offenders laughed.

Nathan finally spoke, "Takes a real man to pull this while the other back is turned."

"No, it takes a real man to fuck a bitch and like it. You don't even deserve the nuts your faggy father gave yah."

Nathan was resisting the urge to take down the wolf right then and there. Very few things made Nathan snap anymore, talking shit about his dad was one. But he knew he could play this out right, Jeromy was about as default bully psyche as they come. Digging deep, he took one for the team, "Nope." He agreed.

Not what Jeromy wanted, he frowned, then looked happy again. "Are you admitting to being gay? Cause a gay man wouldn't pull this shit." "No they'd pussy out." Another guy finished.

Nathan laughed, louder and harder than the pranksters, everyone shared shocked faces and muttering erupted. Jeromy didn't like it, "what's so funny bitch?" he demanded, clearly wanting to laugh himself, and not watch his prey do it.

Nathan got a hold of himself, "Damn you're so sad. Ohh man, dude" he managed, whipping a tear from his eye"I was here 20 minutes and kissed another guy on the lunch tabletop for all to see, yes I'm gay." He had a hard time not laughing at the one trick pony. "Besides, this gay man!" he shouted, "Has the balls to do this shit to another guys car right in front of him, then kiss his girl, and spit in his face." He challenged with his as a matter of fact voice, knowing Jeromy wouldn't deny the challenge.

The wolf was furious, his face red beneath his tan fur, he stood up, his gang standing as well. "Really?" he said with more calm than expected, but everyone could tell he was REALLY trying to keep his cool, but at the same time there was no denying the subliminal aggression in the calmness, the secret message that hid the whirlwind of aggression behind it.

The white wolf shrugged, going to his car and noting where Natalie, Jeromy's lynx girlfriend stood in the crowd. He put his bag in the back seat and quite simply pulled out a paint gun. "I would move." He said quietly, the silence of the parking lot the only reason the team heard. They dove out of the way as Nathan raised the gun and fired away. The windows cracked and the red paint splattered all over the nice car, then the paint changed to blue, green and purple. The gun stopped firing, and Jeromy stared at the car in opened mouth shock. Nathan walked over to the crowd, eyeing the lynx. She looked up at him, dumbfounded, as he pulled her into the eye of the storm. "ehem." Jeromy looked up as Nathan kissed the lynx for a solid ten seconds, the crowd going crazy, but trying to remain silent, Jeromy's face even redder then before.

Nathan smiled, he pushed the happy lynx away and took large, slow, teasing steps up to Jeromy, and made a sound of emptying his throat, and prepped a loogie. Jeromy snapped, tackling Nathan to the ground and getting on top of him, throwing punches at Nathan who managed to block most of them. "Son of a bitch!" he roared. "Gay faggy faggin.....bitch ass....mother..fuckin....whore!!! look what you did to my car!!"

Nathan was laughing hysterically under the wolf. "Ohhh, you like to be on top."

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" the punches came faster, but none really did any damage, "Why wont you learn your lesson and fucking!......" he paused, not really knowing the lesson himself in his blind rage. Nathan sighed, and flipped Jeromy onto the ground, standing and backing up, waiting for the real fight, fists up.

Jeromy was up in a second, his face contorted with rage, his fists up as well, "What lesson Jay?" Nathan asked, "That I can't be myself? Why, if you can name one real honest to god reason ill shun myself." Nathan was so sick of these kinds of guys. They got him kicked out of his last school for fights just like this one. Of course Nathan had learned not to start the fight, and not to beat the other so bad an ambulance showed. He had a glimpse of his dad's concerned face, and with a lot of guilt, waved it aside.

The tan wolf charged, throwing the first punch, Nathan shut his eyes and felt the fist split his lip, whipping his head to the side, but never moving his firmly planted legs. He opened his eyes, the world a little spiny. Jeromy looked shocked, the fist still resting on Nathan's face. He could make out everyone's surprised faces. He smiled, trying to imagine looking at an all white wolf in black rocker attire, with a bloody lip laughing after getting punched in the face. It was scary, so he held in the laugh.

"Self defense." He mumbled and threw a punch that hit Jeremy's face so hard he fell on his ass, screaming.

Had the scene not been so pathetic, Nathan would have left, but with the football team trying to comfort him, he was a pity-able thing. Nathan locked his car and approached Jeromy, the crowd tensing up for more than a 6 second fight. But they weren't getting one. The ass-holes nose was broken, Nathan had felt that, so quiet simply he scattered the team mates by simply approaching, moved Jeromy's bloody paws from his face, looked in his shocked, pained eyes, and snapped the nose back in place.

Another scream erupted, and Nathan returned to the school for a bucket of water and a cloth. Driving with his car windows obstructed by paint was illegal after all.

Issac stared down at his mother, her chest rising rhythmically, her cloths clearly the hospitals, and an IV in her arm. Issac's eyes were watering, he put her paw into his, and squeezed. Her eyes didn't open, the hope died in that moment of her opening her eyes to see him. He noted with a pained glare that the bandage on her head was a little pink "I'm so sorry." He mumbled, "You know I love you right? I do. I don't tell you, but I do mom, I love you so much." His voice was breaking, but he wasn't ashamed of the tears. Again he watched her slow breath, the only proof he wasn't holding the hand of a corpse, a bittersweet sign that his mother was alive, but unresponsive.

Officer Franco stood by the door of the hospital room waiting for Issac to be done. His mother had run from the doctors at St. Anne's and fell down the stairs. She cracked her head hard on the marble floor and is now in a coma for an unknown amount of time.

"Her head is fine, and brain damage is possible, but it won't be severe whenever she wakes." Franco said, "They don't have a clue as to when she will wake." He left after that, and the room fell silent except for the sound of his mother's heartbeat on a machine.

"I don't know if you care, but I made some friends mom. Really good ones, but...their fighting with each other right now." He stopped, sitting down now, words just flowing "You'd love Nathans dad mom, he's a rock star, and Vincent is kind and big and I know you would ask so ill tell you he's rich." Issac smiled, he tears slowing, but still there. "I want to thank you for accepting me mom. Most parents would have flipped shit if their son was bi." He laughed that part for some reason "But you didn't. thanks for that." He paused, "I feel so alone mom, first the dad I never met, then the house and the old school and friends. Now Vincent and Nathan." He started crying again "Look at me I'm a mess, I'm acting like you're.." he couldn't say it, his mind refused to put those letters together "I know life's not fair, but i need more then friends mom. I need a mom to talk too about this. I'm just so angry all the time, and so alone compared to anyone else. And it's not just these two fighting mom. Schools, college, my life! It's all so messed up mom, my car............may family."

It went on as such for about half an hour before Issac said goodbye and left with Officer Franco. They didn't talk; Franco knew to give him space. They started driving to the police station, Issac's eyes empty. He was held in a cell until he could see a judge, he stared at his fellow temp cellmates, but most of them were quiet anyway, so not much conversation broke out until some dude whistling show tunes got his ass kicked, and the two, the kid and the punisher kid, were removed from the cell.

About then is when Issac heard that someone paid his bail.

sad, but informative and essensial. sorry to make you wait for sadening news when you thought you smelled a happy simple ending.
